its being in the centre Bad smell of old carpets everywhere, Awful smell in the elevator and where additonal blankets and pillows are stored in the room. Bathroom with sealed window and poor air system. Water sink not working. Restaurant promises more than what delivers.
Quality and presentation of food for the evening meal was outstanding Breakfast was only average
Nice big clean rooms, good breakfast Need new blankets on beds
Service good and nice terrace Rooms shabby and not very clean - hair dryer did not work
Lovely large room but with a slight damp smell when first entering. Staff were helpfull and spoke English well. Great breakfast and restaurant very good. Had a wonderfull stay.
A peacefull location and charming staff!
Staff extremely friendly. Food excellent. Parking a bit of a problem. Main airconditioning units on roof rather noisy throughout night.
The restaurant was excellent en the room have all the comfort you needed. Carparking was in a closed area. Le petit dejeuner is on the small part.
The hotel and grounds are truly beautiful. Our room was brightly decorated and very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant and although the food was good the choices were very limited.
The staff and service is very proffesional and friendly; also the site and building are great. The restaurant is nice, but not top. The rooms do not fit the otherwise top hotel. The rooms look a little cheap and do not have the same chic feeling as the rest of this experiance.
Decoration of the rooms and the public area. Great restaturant with creative dishes and an excellent price/quality balance. Small pool (approx 12 m). This hotel (like many luxury hotels) attracts many 55+ guests, who don't like children, getting wet in the pool etc.....
The breakfast was excellent, especially the pot of english breakfast tea which was the best I have ever been served in France Near to nuclier power station
The restaurant was great. We really enjoyed both food and wine. Our room was very pretty and very clean. The atmosphere generally at the hotel was very relaxing.
The room we were alocated was very dark and the AC was non-existent, although I had booked the hotel on the basis it had AC. The restaurant was closed on Monday even though this was high season, which in our experience is almost unheard of.
The room was pleasant; the staff was professional and courteous.
Very cute hotel with a georgeous restaurant. Nice pool and courtyard. Rooms nice, but not opulent. Area around hotel is quiet and not particularly picturesque. Would recommend as a good stopover if driving to south provence but not as a stand-alone destination.
I stay here regular on business trips and as always the staff are very attentive, polite, and helpful. This is a lovely hotel and I would recommend it to anyone, particularly couples as the rooms are beautifully decorated and the restaurant food is exceptional.
Clean, basic facilities, exactly as described. Very friendly staff (owner?)
clean and hospitable - nice and clean environment
Located in the centre of the small town it was ideal for looking aound with numerous bars and restaurants very near as well as a church. The owner was a very likeable person who made you feel welcome. Our room was of a large size with a air con unit and the bed was comfortable. A large bathroom but it could have done with a shower curtain.
good location and the room was clean, breakfast was also good compared to other French hotels in this price range mobile airco didn't work. the owner couldn't fix it and even blamed us for the problem (that we moved it, which was not true) he said he just bought it, so it should work... we got hardly any sleep with our 2 years old child in the very hot room during the night as it was 30 C in it. The owner didn't even want to give discount. I was very pissed off
we were on route to the south of france so we just stayed for one night, but it was very convenient
Very friendly people
The hotel is in the city and easy to find it.The parking is in the front of the hotel but it is small and it was unswept almost dirty. The breakfast was very expensive and it contained almost nothing. The cleanness and the breakfast.
Central location and free parking
Room was spacious and clean; the manager/owner had an attitude at first but became more hospitable in the evening. Park your car early and walk in town as the lot fills up quickly! The WIFI worked OK and the air conditioner also worked but was noisy - it was 30C at 11 PM so it was welcome, nonetheless. This is the best hotel in Pierrelatte. See above for review of pros and cons.
The Owners were kind and helpfull peoples.
Excellent location. Food good. Room and bathroom a little small; would benefit being air conditioned.
Extremely warm and flexible staff ready to help and be of assistance. Great location for wine lovers. Everything was perfect.
evening dinner is superb, top cuisine, unexpexted in such a county location. Bed linen very clean and beds good quality. Homely not grand but stay again The swimming pool would have needed cleaning out leaves etc so we could not have a swim
Dinner/breakfast on the terrace, friendly service and close enough to the Autoroute which makes it a great place to stop when heading down South. The room was very spacious, only the bathroom was rather small in comparison.
Beautiful, nice atmosphere, friendly personnel, nice pool, very French breakfast.
This hotel is so quite. Even at the swimming pool people were wispering to respect the silence. Good meals. 35 degrees outside and no air conditioning : keep the windows closed during the day and open everything widely at night to get some fresh air.
Le Moulin is a beautiful, remote hotel surrounded by vineyards. Make sure to plan a dinner in the hotel restaurant, it's fabulous.
La tranquilidad. Un ruido de motor en una de las habitaciones durante toda la tarde y noche
We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel , it was not satisfying, interesting or special.. It was not a relaxed,, calm, tranquil or quality establishment. The bedroom was basic, hostel type, no curtains, no pictures, no flowers, no soft furnishings. The price was far in excess of value. It is a backpackers establishment charging luxury prices.
It is set amongst beautiful lavender fields and I felt I was staying in a provincial farmhouse. Good for exploring the area. The poor provisions for breakfast especially when taking into consideration the cost of this meal. We stayed in six different hotels in France and this was the poorest breakfast but the most expensive
Excellent experience, the chef & hostess were extremely friendly & helpful, food was delicious, my husband and I really had a great time!
The Price of the breakfast, Did not take breakfast due to Cost when compared to similar hotels we have stayed in
Very good location and excellent food, nice people.
Beautiful place. Very quiet among trees. Impressive swimming pool. The Google place marker is not quite right. The cliffs at Chantermerle-les-Grignan (close to the hotel) are of geological importance, a key location for the lower Myocene.
It is only possible to like this "hotel" if one has a weird sense of humour or is desperate to sleep in a museum. It is really a very expensive chambre d'hôte. There was no swimming pool as listed on booking.com. There was no wardrobe or places to stand suitcases, or TV, or any other facility. Breakfast was good quality but very small rations and no choice.
Our host Oliver was there to help us in any way and he indeed did so - we need medicine for my wife and myself and he took us to the chemist and doctor for prescriptions - he spoke about this 250 year huge home with great detail and respect - closs to lovely food - i had the best lamb meal i have had any where in the world - back next year. parking was in front of hotel and we could see our vehicle we had to go around the back to get to it - it was not a major problem - the surround country villages made up for one small inconvience.
The garden was a fabulous little retreat...so beautiful! I really enjoyed sitting out there and would go back just for that. The room was clean & had interesting decor and a large bath which was nice and relaxing (tip: you can buy lavender oil at vignerons coop at roundabout on way into BourgSt.Andeol for a nice aromotherapy bath.) The A/C worked and bed was comfortable. I liked all the cool old artifacts and furniture in this old converted building. The town of Bourg St.A was kind of sleepy, but sweet and near to Ardeche Gorges. I wish I'd stayed longer there and at this hotel, but I was heading south so only stayed overnight. The owner spoke English and gave info about local sights and how to get there. I couldn't get the wifi to work, but could just have been a service provider temporary issue, as apparently there is usually wifi.Parking for this hotel is in front, in above ground municipal parking lot next to the river, but the entrance to the hotel is hidden & around back (no elevator) so you have to carry your luggage up hill and around the block from your car.I parked illegally for short time, in the back alley to unload/load my bags but this annoyed some locals who yelled at me in French.C'est dommage ;) At first, couldn't figure out how to checkin because noone at the desk & noone around, wandered around ~40 minutes & even contemplated leaving since couldn't find anyone-then saw bell way up high above head on left of doorway~lookUp!
