The staff were helpful and friendly, the adjoining auberge was really nice with excellent food. The situation was really nice and appealing. There was no ventilation to the toilet in the room. The furnishings in the upper room of the apartment were very basic
The friendly staff. The excellent breakfast in good surroundings. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the pool but it looked good. No hairdryer in room. The lack of an early breakfast
Rooms nicely appointed, good linen/towels etc and coffee/tea in room. Breakfast was good but more selection would have been nice. Very picturesque, both location and the set-up with ncie pool area (pity about the rian). BBC TV available in room was a bonus. Restuarant across road was excellent, gourmet meals with wide selection available. Not strictly part of hotel (so 2x bills). Great location for group frineds as its the only busy place in this very small hamlet. They can also house large parties across road in seperate annex (self catering and decor not up to hotel std). Good kids facilities eg bouncy castle, etc but care for young children its located on junction of 2x minor roads, cannot get to accomodation w/o crossing. Checking in past 6pm wasn't too clear, you need to cross the road to the restaurant (as no-one answered the 2 call bells ie restaurant was busy). But then it was very simple. Its not cheap to eat/drink/sleep here but very pleasurable.
Restaurant was excellent and whole place had great character. Customer service was superb
it was nice and friendly
Great stay, very clean and upto date rooms, staff very helpful even when we arrived very late after ferry delays (gone midnight!). Excellent Breakfast in same building weekends and in Restaurant across the road during the week. The Restaurant serves some of the best food we have had in a long time, fantastic! Overall an excellent stay.
reasonable room goog breakfast
Fantastic location, close to attractions and limitless possibilities for walks / cycling. Very comfortable and spacious accomodation and a heated swimming pool. Despit having a kitchen area, there was no fridge or cutlery, which I found slightly strange.
Everything was very good, restaurant extrenely good
Excellent breakfast and friendly service
The owners of the Shamrock Guesthouse are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The room has a good bed and is clean. Breakfast is good and more then enough.
The place is nice but a bit far from Liege, very relaxing and welcoming.
Wonderful old house in Ardennes. Very hospitable owners, tasty breakfast. Home-like atmosphere. For those, who love nature and silence.
The ambiance was really nice and relaxed. The owners are warm and welcoming. The breakfast is really good.
The service and particularly the facilities connected to the SPA thermes in terms of the access and price
the direct acces to the therms It felt as if there was not enough staff to handle such a busy weekend...check out took long...and breaffast was tooo busy
diner was very good, breakfast was fantastic, direct entrance to the Thermen of Spa We had a room at the street side and at night there was a lot of noise
Very polite and professional. Nothing ever too much trouble. Location is excellent Not the cheapest but you poay for what you get.
Great service, great food and wine on the terrace bar. Everything was excellent
Great location for the spa. Nice rooms. Very good breakfast. Frendly staff. If there is available space, you can park for free outside of the hotel (no need to pay €16/day). Rather crowed on saturdays and during sunday morning breakfast. Special teleferik to the spa for hotel's customers didn't function that day, something rather inconvenient due to rainy and cold weather. Cleaning of the room during staying could be better.
Location, connection with the Therms, furniture style cleaning of rooms is to be improved
It was excellent we he'd a good time
The excellent choice for breakfast which was of a high standard
Excellent hotel staff , very good services !!! We love this hotel and want to come back to spa! The room could be bigger.
Traveled in and around Spa
Dinner Dirty noisy and being refurbished
Room was too cold and no proper heating. Furniture cheap and old. Not good value for money.
Comfortable room and excellent meal in restaurant. Best shower of all the hotels in our itinerary.
Room was in the eaves so you couldn't stand on one side of the bed. Shower flooded the bathroom as it had no door. Damp patch on the wall. Staff were polite but very slow and not overly concerned about any issues raised.
great hotel..i liked the location, spa facilities, breakfast buffet...staff was very friendly as they offered to change the room after my partner reported that shower head was not working in the bathroom the room was renovated but still needed a final polishing e.g. shower head was nto working
The wellness facilities & the restaurant
Modern and clean room with big flatscreen tv (superior room), great breakfast and friendly staf. Hotel is very well situated, just 2 minutes away from the Spa center by car
Free of charge wireless internet -
Convenient location to Spa race track Wanted to use the gym and had called the hotel directly to ask if they had a gym and they said yes. Unfortunately it was a bedroom with 4. Pieces of equipment. Hardly a gym !
Great luxury hotel. Hotel staff was very kind. The wellness facilities were of the latest technologies and designs. Luxury all over the place. Very clean. Diner at the restaurant in the evening was excellent, quality products and very warm atmosphere. Fire place is very pleasant to have a cup of tea in the afternoon. We had the castellane suite which was very spacious, with all facilities needed. Big bathroom with large bath and rainshower, a separate room with desk. Only thing that could be improved is breakfast. I expected a buffet but everything was on the table when we arrived. Poor choice in my opinion but i am used to have large breakfast. i missed some yoghurt, dry fuit, cereals, eggs, brown bread (only wite),...
very nice setting, well designed interior with attention to detail there were no feeding chairs for children
Comfort & silence & excellent restaurant at this manoir. No.
`We did like the Welnes Centre a lot!! Nice view with a glass of champagne in our hands,.. We also booked a relaxing massage and that was really nice. The suite was fenominal, nice bathtube in the room, beautiful view outside, good bed, very friendly staff! Did all their best to fix the internetconnection..
The incredible surroundings, almost castle like and the combination of this with modern interiors in the rooms and excellent cuisine. Breakfast should be included in the room price
very nice atmosphere, very helpful staff, excellent cuisine, beautiful location
Beautiful view from the back of the castle. Tables in the back for relaxing and have a drink. Very relaxing.
peace and quiet most of the time Lack of headboard on bed gap between matress and wall! Designer wash basin with no way of containing the water, not very eco friendly. Noise from quad bike between 10.30 and 11pm
very nice hotel kitchen ' smell' in the room 5
The room and especially the bathroom were lovely. The decor of the entire place is perfect.
the overall quality of the room, TV channels, internet availability, the garage, quiet, location during breakfast, there clearly was understaffing due to unexpected last minute bookings. The lady on duty did what she could and stayed friendly, but we had to exercise patience to find the food or drink we wanted. During dinner there was only one set menu at 35 Euro in the restaurant; they said there had been some technical problems in the kitchen.
Modern hotel met perfecte locatie aan het cicuit. Mooie, ruime kamer met alle comfort.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and early enough for the early start required for the race circuit. Shower water in my room did not evacuate properly - blocked out pipe I guess. Otherwise all fine.
Position of the hotel and the staff A little pricey for whats on offer
Neat the track of Spa Francorchamps -
Very good location; clean room; nice breakfast buffet.
Room was of an excellent size, especially teh high ceilings and large doors, which made it feel special. No. Would stay there again.
Very friendly staff, very polite and helpful. Beautiful setting, right in the middle of spa, but in a quiet road. Secure parking. The pillows were a bit big and hard
Location, size of rooms, friendly staff
Attractive, city-centre hotel. Pleasant staff. Little English spoken by receptionist - but then why should she - it's in Belgium. Pretty garden with tables & chairs. Limited secure parking. Rooms 16 & 26 wrap around lift shaft. Lighting to room could have been better. Breakfast doesn't start until 8.00, which is too late.
liked the welcome, the helpfulness of the staff, the good breakfast, the location ,the calm and the quiet luxury of this hotel
excelent hospitality, lovely atmosphere, Fresh, spacious and clean rooms with many historical details. Your stay makes you feel like a royal princess.
good bathroom and breakfast v dark room
Nice location with lots of charm. Beautiful, clean rooms. Very quiet. Buffet breakfast was ok, but there could've been more choice.
The atmosphere of the building, the quietness a kingsize bed would have been better
Most rooms are in a high-tech new building, with windows on the (arguably not busy) road. This is fine, but bears no relation to the pictures on the site, which give the impression of an old, romantic hotel in a secluded garden.
Owner very welcoming. Clean & comfortable fine dining and ambiant atmosphere. I would book in a future trip.
The staff is very gentle, speaks at least 3 different languages, explains the service of the hotel very well, we felt very good there, they take care of you!
Personable and helpful staff, good food.
The Hotel is one of the best I have stayed in. Not cheap but worth the price. The welcome was excellent and personal by the co-proprietor. It is set in nice grounds in a lovely village with interesting historical features. The rooms, interior and cuisine were superb, as was the level of service.
Enjoying the countryside
Hospitality, kindness. Restaurant prices are a bit exaggerated
Modern room, good restaurant, nice people. Very noise rooms, uncomfortable toilet seat.
room and view were excellent The quality of the buffet on saturday was poor. We arrived at 8 pm and most dishes were almost empty. For this price quality not acceptable
I found the bed extremely comfortable, good a/c, fantastic breakfast! Poor gym equipment both selection and the condition, price of beer was extortionate.
very relaxed atmosphere , helpful reception staff background "Muzak" was a bit annoying , especially in restuarant
This is a fantastic hotel, and you would expect it to be given the cost, but it lives up to those expectations. The room was fantastic, food was great and same with the service. The Formula 1 teams and some drivers stay there as well so you know its good. The only problem I had was with one of the receptionists who was very condescending and rude.
Relaxation and Privacy
we both felt that pool should have been free as in line with other hotels and treatments extra
- Los servicios y el centro de bienestar (siempre y cuando uno se aloje con un paquete que los incluya) y el desayuno. - The services and facilities and the wellness center (whenever you book a package including them) and the breakfast. - Sin contratar un paquete, TODO se paga por separado, incluído el albornoz. Y la cena buffet del sábado era excesivamente cara para lo que se ofrecía. - Unless you book a weekend package, every additional extra has to be paid separately, even the bathrobe. And the buffet dinner on Saturday was a bit too expensive for what was offered.
The hotel is not in Spa, but the centre of the town can be easily reached by car or by taxi. The room what we had was large and clean with spectacular view to the woods and hills. The food in the restaurant was just OK, but not really enjoyable and below typical Belgian standards.
Big room and and big and big, sunny and calm terrace
The view from my room was spectacular. I was lucky enough to have a rear facing room looking down into a valley. Room air conditioning was appreciated as it was quite warm. Decent sized car park at the front of hotel - useful for those who may intend bringing some extra wheels to the race circuit. Very convenient location for the Spa Francorchamps race circuit. Very polite and helpful staff. Didn't have any coffee/tea making facilities in the room, though it did have a minibar.
The proprietor was extremely helpful and welcoming - the rooms was very comfortable and the position was excellent
Clean and comfort rooms;Breakfast was nice;Polite personnel
Pierre is a great and friendly guy, speaks good english and is prepared to do an early breakfast (i was working and had to leave early in the morning)
Friendliness of the hotel owner. Noting.
The hotel was very close to town center so we were able to walk everywhere. The guy who helps run the hotel was super friendly to us and was even able to speak English (which was a nice plus)! Most of the residents were elderly people, which isnt really a bad thing but just out of respect, we had to watch our noise level.
Good value for money inclusive of beakfast, lovely location in Spa and easily accessible for exploring local area. Quadruple room was a really good size for our family of four and very clean.
Very friendly staff. Little nice garden. Coming from Denmark we would like Belgian beer in the refri. and not Danish beer!
Its location within Spa shops, bars and resturants and within easy reach of the race circuit. The room was very hot even with the window fully open and that was in October, I think a ceiling fan would make the room alot more comfotable.
comfort and facilities no
no restuarant facilities
The food was very good, nicely presented and the waiter seemed to care about service Bed linen. Would prefer to have cotton sheets but it was not to bad
very good, busy spot, but seperate carpark at rear which was more secure for the classic car we travelled in Mainly the cost of the room which was quoted at 70 euro per night, but we ended up being charged 90 euro per night - they need to sort this out!!!
Pleasant surroundings, the F1 race circuit was 20 minutes away, restruant was good, with a wide selection of european style food, no english cards but we were able to work out selection, staff has limited english did very well to meet our needs; room comfortable; overall a positive experience No
this is a very pleasent hotel. ideal for the spa race track and only 4hrs from calais. i will be using this hotel again.
location chairs were not comfortable, bouncy castle for children was dangerous and play room was not suitable for young children.
Good service at the restaurant and well prepared food. No problems arranging an extar bed since the Grand Lit was to small. Huge balkony.
Excellent location, environment is relaxing and pittoresque and right next to the Plopsa Coo family park. Rooms are clean. Hotel restaurant is quite nice with riverside tables, food is reasonable quality. Very nice terrace connected to the room (18) although this probably isn't the case for all rooms. The rooms could do with some renovation. In the bathroom the shower was leaking quite badly and the hot/cold water was irregular in temperature. The wallpaper was loosening in some places. Its not horrible, but could be a lot better.
Excellent location. Normal health and safety precautions nill. Phillipe Constant, proprietor, uncaring and totally lacking in consideration, concern and normal social graces. Healthy, fit and active husband returned home shatter, nerv ous wreck thanks to this hotel. Not sure if we would even consider a future holiday. Where were hotel inspectors???It is not the only odd steps left like this in building. The first afternoon of our holiday my husband fell headlong down two unmarked and without any warning steps bwteen beddroom and entrance hall, cracking eyebrow and nose on corner of wardrobe 10 feet away with full force of his 13 stone weight. 5Hours later he collapsed, unconscious and was hospitalised.Xrays of shoulder and brain scan confirmed, thankfully, no clot or bleed to brain. 11 days later very ill and gp told him 'a couple of inches to one side your head would have been split open and you could have been killed.' Floor covering in entrance hall, on steps and room matched; in dim light difficult to see and when coming in from daylight impossible to see until eyes adjusted.
Nice location Got locked out of room!! No staff at hotel on our return at 11p.M.!! Had to sleep in another room!! Total rubbish.
Very friendly staff and hotel in a pretty location Nothing to complain about really as the hotel is inexpensive so dont expect fantastic luxury, it is basic, comfortable, clean, good food and friendly staff.
Very comfortable family run hotel. Excellent staff and manager. comfortable rooms, clean with lots of hot water. Slightly dated decor. Situated slightly out of town with beautiful views and very quiet. Breakfast was very sufficient and varied and the evening meals were delicious.Food was fabulous. A real find and not expensive. no
Location, nice view on the village Trois pons. In the middle of nice hilly area.Walking paths in the surroundings. Decoration and quality of the room and bathroom were poor compared to the paid price
beautiful place; fantastic dinner; definitely stay there again
The view and the food was fantastic
Location with nice views over countryside. Attention of staff to needs. Nice appearance. Good off road parking Shower room a bit tired, could do with a makeover
stylish.Reduced.perfect. We stayed not long enough ;-)
The rooms were nicely furnished, very comfortable beds and excellent showers. We ate in the restaurant and Pascal is a very talented chef and we had really superb meal.
Beautiful modern interior of old farmhouse. Everything spotless. Breakfast delicious. Quiet and peaceful, tho' might not be quite so on Race w/es.
The extremely friendly and warm attention shown by the owners/management. Very cosy, family-style environment and feeling. Good food.
Very quiet and peaceful. Relaxing surroundings, beautiful grounds and very friendly, accommodating staff. Delicious breakfasts, and the sauna was also an excellent addition. Close walk into town.. couldn't fault it at all.
The rooms were very clean and spacious. I was there on business and so had little time to spend at the hotel, but from what I saw it was all done to a high standard. A bit difficult to find, off the beaten track. Go past the Casino on your left, turn left past the Auberge hotel, and go up the hill, over the railway crossing, turn right at the fork, and then left at the fork, still going up the hill.
quit location, easy access to nature walks, fantastic back yard, room was beautifuly decorated, lighted, and comfortable, internet connection was crucial for 1 day work which I required, and was for free. TV only in French...
My second visit, and still the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Great location - quiet, and only a few minutes walk into town. Beautiful house, and gardens, friendly owners, great sauna, big friendly cat and the best scrambled eggs i have ever eaten. Top notch. Will be staying there again next year for sure.
location is good, walking distance from the center This is an old house and the rate does not correspond to the actual condition of the hotel. I would expect something impressive at a rate of 9.1 which was not the case.
lovely place, very friendly and attentive householders, cosy house in a nice country style, tasty breakfast (shef-made scrambled eggs are to be tried!). cons of an old house: bad soundproofing. not so easy to find at the first time.
The couple that run the B & B were very pleasant and helpful. Upon our arrival, the woman helped us with our bags and provided much useful information about the area and even made dinner reservations for us. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and well decorated. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
beautiful rooms, lovely grounds, ample breakfast. This is not a complaint as I had a very pleasant 3 days here, but my room was on the second floor and unfortunately when I arrived the owners were not there and I had to carry my big siutcase up a narrow circular staircase, which was not easy.
Our stay was just tremendous. We had a truly magical weekend which involved relaxation and the buzz of the Grand Prix weekend. Just perfect.
Hotel Dufays is a small boutique hotel, beautifully decroated with excellent facilities inside and out. The owners, Ad and Frank, are friendly welcoming and always willing to be helpful, whther making a dinner reservation or giving ideas for trils around the area. The room we stayed in was very large and wonderfully decorated. In addition, we took our dog and she was welcomed by the wners, just as much as they welcomed us. The hotel is a gem and a real find. We plan a return visit to the hotel and are highly recommending it to friends.
The friendly welcome by the owner. The uniqueness of the rooms. The views were fantastic. Everything was so clean. The music at breakfast. Nothing
Excellent buffet breakfast, quirky but tasteful interior decoration, peace and quiet, knowledgeable host, sense of history.
Friendly owner, beautiful decor, sumptuous breakfast. Our room was the smallest one and not as posh as the others (but still very nice).
The atmosphere in the hotel was second to none, and the service and welcome were impeccable, espeacially the dogs.
Extremely helpful service from the manager from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The price was extremely high for what was, ultimately, a bed and breakfast service.
i liked the rooms, the animals, the staff, the breakfast, the sunny garden a little noise from the street, when we had the window open. when closed, it was no problem
Great location, peaceful setting, great breakfast, excellent free internet connection, & friendly family-owned facility. None
Small hotel with friendly owners.
Good location with very attentive and helpful owners, excellent food with comfortable and spacious room. Unfortunately the small village does host youth camps which can be rather noisy in the evenings. Our room faced the centre thus was rather noisy, a room facing away would have been preferable.
Excellent location, nice rooms, great food, friendly staff, no better place to stay after a tiring day's walking.
The family that runs the hotel is extremely helpful and kind in every way. The rooms are spatious, the beds soft and the bathroom up to date. Everything is clean and well kept. The restaurant is the dream of every gastronome and the prices are very reasonable. Location in a very lovely and quiet village. Thank you for a great we!!! Although a very quiet hotel, the sound isolation of the rooms could be improved.
The welcome and the restaurant
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, nice room
The food and the service
Quiet village, nice looking, small hotel, breakfast excellent, hotel staff kind. We had to wait very long between the courses of the diner. It was a little bit annoying but understandable.
The attention to detail and the super food... just great
