basic & clean. Good for a one night stopover but not for a long stay. Resaurant very nice
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for travelling through this area of France. Food excellent & good value for money. Good wine list. (If the French can't cook or have good wines, who can?)
good location for one night on a trip to the cote d'azur.
Lovely hotel situated ideally for us travelling to the South of France. Friendly staff None
friendly staff the position is not so good and I found the hotel a bit expensive considering what they offer
Remarkable location and an excellent relaxed stay, superb staff, with the quality of service and food you would expect from a Michelin star establishment. On the terrace before dinner 16 euros for a small glass of local, all be it good wine was a tad excessive
We were chzrmed by this lovely hotel. Nice place next to the river. We had an excellent diner in the open air with an excellent white wine (Condrieu). I think you can spend there more than one night for an exploration of the region and his wineries.
The hotel room was very well appointed, luxurious and comfortable. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful, breakfast was good if a bit expensive. Lovely riverside location and gardens. The hotel restaurant was appalling. The staff patronising and rather rude. The wine waiter did not seem to know much about wine only how to make his customers feel small. The food was pretentious, meagre and ridiculously overpriced. I would rather starve than eat there again.
Great location, wonderful to watch the barges go by on the Rhone. Just the experience we were looking for. Please do tell people that this is a 1 star Michelin restaurant hotel. We booked the hotel not noticing if there was even a restaurant and were 'shocked' to find ourselves kindly booked by the hotel staff into a seriously expensive meal (Euro 280). We do usually seek out Michelin starred restaurants but like to be prepared for that level of expenditure. Some of your bookers may not be able to afford it at all.
Very good food and good views from the bank of the Rhone. Perfect location when transiting from UK to South of France. Very poor service in bar and not much better in restaurant.
Stunning location, very friendly and helpful reception staff, attentive and professional restaurant staff, superb food, especially fish courses, splendid selection of wine. There were none.
Beautiful location.Excellent food served with care and attention in an attractive Dining Room.
We have one complaint: at night the water on the tap remained hot,in the morning tis was fixed
Pleasant hotel with excellent restaurant and helpful staff
This is a completely self contained hotel/motel in a gated compound, so it is very secure. There is a good(ish) restaurant for evening meal and excellent breakfast. The rooms are incredibly small, but they contain everything that one could possibly need for an overnight stay, except perhaps an exercise wheel! I felt like I had become a hamster.
On-site restaurant facilities. Good parking. The third bed - on the floor - was a little cold
OK for parking and well located for auto routes. Immediate location. No nearby restaurants etc.
Simple, but tidy, clean, efficient and friendly Location, but you can't have everything !
I was totaly surprised coming down the dirt road and then the beautiful estate opened up.
Nice hotel with large rooms. Good breakfast. The park was lovely to walk in. The restaurant was exclusive but very good maybe a little expensive , specially the wine-selection. (most expensive bottle 2500 €). Friendly peoples and good service.
Unbelievable atmosphere and appearance. Very expensive but probably worth it.
Beautiful location Breakfast was chaotic, staff lost control completely, no glasses, juices, cutlery, plates, etc and all that for euro 12.50 per person. a shame!!! Room and facilities in general needing a renovation
Nothing. The Interior was very dull and uninviting. The Restaurant food was Very Very Slow. We left after two hours without Maincourse seems a Conference took priority, and our complaint was not handle very professionaly that night and when checking out a couple of days later.
Being a "Relais du Silence"...the silence, plus the pool and the location.
The hotel and its surroundings were lovely. The price of the hotel was very good for the quality; with good facilities, very helpful and welcoming staff and delicious food.
Pleasant surroundings. Varied breakfast buffet. We wanted a no smoking room, but they wanted to charge 40euros extra. The room we were given smelt very smoky.
The room was comfortable, the gardens were beautiful and the staff were very helpful. We had a very relaxing stay here.
Gourmet restaurant with fair price policy (menu available from 25.- EUR) and professional service. Large choice of wines by the galss. Wi-Fi in the all hotel available. Bathroom is ok. The room furniture is no more up to date for this hotel category and should be refreshed, the bed was not so comfortable.
quit night, large parking and friendly staff. Very expensive wifi, today it is essential for travellers, hotels management should consider offer them like basic service, otherwise, we, travellers, will choise hotels that give what we need: free wi-fi.
the location, the friendly staff 3-person room was really small, maintenance on installations poor, breakfast expensive but simple
friendly welcome , clean accomodation with river view. our "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke and there was an ashtray in the room.
staircase outside of building
Good rooms, nice service and atmosphere.Good breakfast was excellent value. The evening meal. Some of the buffet was not fresh and the main courses were poor quality and bad value.
This was an ideal over night stopping hotel on our way back through to the north from the south of France,
Beautiful location by the river Rhône
It was easily accessible from the motorway and a short train ride from Lyon The Bed was uncomfortable
The Kyriad in Givors was clean, well-maintained with free parking in a secure area. It was close to downtown and easy to get to off the autoroute.
Staff were extremely helpful at all times The hotel bar closes at 11pm and there is nowhere else to get a drink at night once you have returned from the day out.it would be better if the bar stayed open until midnight/1am.
Overall the accommodation at the hotel was excellent value for the money, & the engish speaking receptionist was very helpful when making enquiries.
The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. We especially enjoyed dinner and the wonderful breakfast the following morning.
shower did not work
I like staff hotel very much - very polite, responsive. Hotel is 7 minutes to walk from the train station, what is very comfortable if you need to live for Lyon, for example. All trams are going trough the train station and if you are lost in the town you could always take T1 or T2 and they deliver you to the point you know well.
Very helpful staff, restaurant is simple but good price/quality level.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, the buffets (dinner as well as breakfast) are fantastic.
Very near to train station and also to the parc expo. Restaurant and breakfast good price/quality. They changed a little bit breakfast time for a big group. Access to the free parking (secure) directly with a lift. All service people of the hotel very nice. Nice welcome first breakfast with very tasty cookies :) Free WIFI Only one lift in this hotel is a bit poor, in the morning was really hard to get lift, anyways stairs not so hard. Bathroom didn't smell good, probably not thing of lack of cleaning and not in all rooms as far as i know. 2nd down floor of parking is a bit difficult to access with a long car.
Big parking outside the hotel + 2 levels of indoor parking inside. Room equipped with a kettle, like all other Kyriads. Feels like a buget hotel, not the kind of neighborhood you would walk around at night, problematic exit from indoor parking afterhours, tight access for luggage (old building).
Easy to find Very impersonal staff
Good clean hotel in nice quite location, very good and helpfull staff
Very nice comfortable room and no noise at night,Staff very cheerfull
comfortable new bedrooms with air conditioning. Good range of restaurants 800 yards away. Person at reception too busy to serve drinks at the bar. We ended up leaving without our order.
Nice pleasent staff. Hotel was good value for Money, just need it as a stop over for one night so did the job well. No food though but close by some place to eat out. No food though but close by some place to eat out.
I booked a room for a family of three together with our two cats as we were going to the annual world cat show to compete with our pets. The first morning we never got the request wake up call. On our return that day at 20,00 when we arrived at the hotel we were not allowed to return to our room. Our personal belonging were packed in plastic bags in the hallway and the Spanish managment that did not speak English insisted that we had to leave the hotel because their cleaner was not happy to clean the cat litter that had fallen on the bathroom floor and the litter tray smelled. We were charged 40 extra euro cleaning fees from my credit card and sent to a different hotel. We went to the local police to report this case, a hell experience. The managment is arrogant, lacks in professional training and has a nasty attitude
Campanile Hotels are basic but clean and staff are always friendly. Don't change the format, it is perfect for a value for money stop over. Nothing to change. If I was being really pedantic, a few more parking spaces would be handy. I arrived late and had to park on a disabled space.
The location was ideal for a trip into St Etinne. The choice of dinner could be improved, more healthy choice, the beer could be cheaper a little over prices.
Quiet. Clean. Convenient (on motorway). Good dinner and breakfast
good service, English speaking, good extended breakfast, room + bathroom ok, good for stayover on the way to Spain, also with kids
Very convenient for an overnight stop, just off the Autoroute. Staff friendly.
Good bathroom; close to Sunday morning market. When checking in, I tried to speak French (I am fluently bilingual) and the clerk kept wanting to speak English (because I was from Canada!!) I found her attitude very unfriendly; hotel is not near any restaurants. This hotel was one of the closest to Firminy and the LeCorbusier church...pity nothing closer.
very good room service couldn't get the air con to work during the night
Nice hotel, very good value. Free WiFi and free parking. Served our needs as an overnight stop between the south of France and Burgundy without getting tied up in a large city.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. The whole establishment was very clean and tidy. Nice size room. Ideal stopping off point for those on a touring holiday. Whilst not a minus point of the hotel most of the local restaurants close at 7.30ish but if you travel a bit further afield there is more choice.
Good stopover hotel when you're traveling to (or from) the South. Much better quality then other stopover hotels then Formule1 or Etap. Good breakfast buffet. Although there's no own restaurant in the hotel to have dinner, you can order some meals (pizza, pasta, salads, ...) which is being delivered within 30 mins. The meal can then be eaten in the breakfast area, on the terrace or in your room.
Friendly atmosphere and very helpful staff. There is not a restaurant at the hotel, but there were arrangements with an excellent restaurant in the area. The breakfast could have been better.
the rooms were big enough for 4 persons and very clean
The hotel was easy to find, very well presented and the staff friendly and helpful. We stayed in a rear room and had an extra bed added to fit 4 of us as the front rooms faced a busy road. Our room was very quiet. There really was nothing much to see here. We needed a place to stay on our way to the coast. There is no lift but the manager kindly carried our bags up.
super friendly and helpful manager
Great value breakfast & fantastic host in the owner. Very clean. Nothing
The staff were very helpful
The kindness en helpfullness of the staff.Clean room.
The room was spotless It was very tired and needs a bit of new decor
Nothing! The rooms was old dirty no internet connection only one towel tv had only 3 channels in one word : sad
Well located near Chateaucreux tgv rail station; fantastic restaurant at reasonable prices. None
Very little. Of all the places we stayed over a two week trip this was the most disappointing. It didn't live up to its description, was incredibly difficult to find and felt very run down and shabby. The chap on reception was largely detached and uninterested and when we - after a lateish arrival- wanted help in locating food was particularly unhelpful.
Value for money Location The reception dealt with on check out. The final account was 10 euros over quoted price. The staff member on reception amended the account as per the quoted price but was unpleasant and initially swore when the error was pointed out.
Friendly and helpful staff Rooms are basic, digital clock was faulty and flashed brightly all night
very close to train station, nearby tram and bus stops
The favorable location 1. The elevator has pre-technologic revolution properties (malfunctionings). 2. For its price, the breakfast is rather poor.
Brilliant third floor room, overlooking the golf course, air-conditioned, modern and very attractive styling. Most interesting ceiling! Ate at the restaurant - superb food, and completely full.
Ambience peaceful, I was very disappointed no air conditiong in the room, when enquired for another room I was told there was only air condition on the third floor and would have to pay extra. I was put in a room which I belive, was not finished or was for staff to stay in.
The food was super ! Five star food and not overpriced. I liked the modern design of the rooms. I know that some of the other guests did not have air conditioning in the room. This is a standard in hot countries I would think. Also there was no information booklet in the room about the hotel or the locality.
The hotel was very old and dirty...needs renovation and was too pricey for the poor quality. I would not recommend it! the staff could not recommend a resataurant as she said she was not from the area???
Old building, not very clean.
Price point was good The front counter staff was very unfriendly, needs improving. One realizes that the hotel is busy, but many other hotels we visited were busy as well but the staff was responsive and nice. The mini bar fridge did not work and the front counter staff could not care less. The bathrooms in the room need to be renovated.
Good price, good staff, good internet connection The room wasn't so clean as i wished, the hotel is far from the town center
Grand hotel for what it was worth, it was simply a stop gap. The room had a funny smell, other than that it was ok
The receptionist was welcoming and helpful, our room was clean and the bathroom was in good working condition with plenty of hot water. It's a good, inexpensive, no frills budget hotel for travellers.
Secured parking, automated access, breakfast
It was our halfway stop en route to Nice and did exactly what it said on the tin.
Free secure parking, very clean and comfortable room, free WiFi, very good value for money. Ideal when you are travelling and dont want to enter crowded city. Slow internet connection, only sweet food for breakfast
It was quiet and clean place.
No full time reception therefore self check in or wait until reception openned
