Hotel is in very good localization, away from tourist cities. In Icod are only two hotels. I had very close in San Marcos nice ocean coast with good parking and few restaurant. I had a small food shop 2-3 minutes time by foot. Great panorama on ocean from balcony, nice view on El Teide vulcano. Hotel has very thin walls, and I heard everything, what's my neighbourd did. I booked the room 50m2 with big double bed, and tarrace, but I got 20m2 room with twin bed (i hate it), with small balcony (but all big rooms was free). Of course I paid as for big appartament. Misundersoot ?
plenty of parking space, small local shop, big apartment with balcony, quiet location no internet, no proper TV (all channels were in german), ants in the kitchen (could not leave food on the table), no kettle, food is too greasy in the restaurant, apament location only can be reached by car
the view and the balcony into the room, and the price very attractive not enough ustensible in the kitchen , also no oven
Nice, clean apartment Apartments are located next to very noisy street, a lot of cars and trucks go next to the windows all the time
The place was really beatiful - amazing view - we saw Teide from our window. The place clean, staff friendly, plenty of space for parking. We took a small room, it was basic, but for the price it costs it is more then perfect. We stayed for 5 nights and the towels were not changed, the worst thing was that it was not hot enough in the room them to be absoluteley dry during the day. However, it was not a disaster.
Beautiful setting but not far from places to visit especially Puertu. good local walks and friendly local people.Lovely rooms and well equiped -good patio for outside sitting, Sometimes difficult to find the staff when needed.
Quiet and peaceful settting , impressive views from terrace and public areas, hotel concept and design, well presented, characterful bedrooms opportunity to enjoy good quality Canarian cuisine, excellent pool . Good service levels. Weaker service levels on management team rest days - Sunday, Monday.
The staff was very very helpful and very very friendly. The location is great and out of the way, at approximately 650m altitude, so its calm, relaxing and with a view! Nice pool (heated and covered). Because of the altitute, it tends to be rather humid (you're at the cloud level most of the time) and thus, it was hard getting anything to dry up... The noise from the creaky wood floor might have been an inconvenience for our lower neighbors
The morning view from the hotel is stunning and the rooms are really decent as well.
The views over the sea, although not from the rooms but from the terraces and common places.
Remote and spacious
The room was extremely confortable, clean and luxurious; we especially liked the terrace with the long chairs. The bedding (a nice new duvet) was extremely confortable. The breakfast buffet was very very good, it is especially pleasant to eat outside on the terrace. The environment of the hotel was very peaceful and calm...this was by far the best hotel we stayed in during out 10 day circuit-stay in Tenerife. The evening meal was expensive and terrible. Perhaps the dish of the day was simply a bad choice, but we ate far better food for a much more reasonable price by going to Puerto for our evening meals.
In no particular order, peace, quiet, staff, swimming pool, food. Difficult to find in the dark when first arriving.
Our room was comfortable (though dark) and the views on a fine day are splendid in both directions. It would be ideal for a longer relaxing break than we had time for, as the drawback mentioned below applied particularly to the first night. We found the directions (especially through Los Realejos) difficult to follow - though I admit they did lead to the hotel without any actual errors. It was disappointing to find no evening meal or snack of any kind available on arrival, involving a walk uphill to the village (I'd had enough of driving for the day), where we found the bars were closed too. So we ended up with mini-market rolls and cheese in our room, which dampened the occasion a bit. But we realise that the hotelier can't second-guess whether arriving guests will want supper or not, and if so what. If we'd booked in for more than one night, this situation wouldn't have arisen again.
the location, ease of parking, the staff were friendly, the cook was excellent, the facilities were good no tea/coffee making facilities in rooms, having to book evening meal at breakfast, staff were very good but seemed overworked
