The monestary itself was very beautiful, as were the grounds. The staff in general were very nice. The food at the restaurant was very good, and the ambience was unforgettable. The room was very cute and memorable as well. The floor in our room was somewhat dirty (it is probably hard to clean these old floors well). The town of Palma del Rio is not very interesting.
A very nice experience and a good start to explore the area
The mix of old and new has been well created. Outstanding restaurant.
Staying in an old cloister Bad smell in room ( sewage ). Heating could not be turned off. Telephone did not work.
Very calm atmosphere. There was ample parking in the street outside the hotel
The hotel is delightful and such a relaxing place to stay. The restaurant is excellent for all meals with food is of high quality. Rooms spacious and well appointed. The grounds and other facilities all combine to make for a special break. We did not want to leave! Nothing whatsoever
I loved the whole place. Gorgeous building and grounds - it was a destination in itself. A photographer's paradise. If we hadn't been on a cycling plan, I would have stayed for another night. The breakfast price was a bit expensive so we skipped it and went to a local cafe bar. I am sure it would have been really nice though based on everything else at the hotel.
Spacious, refined, reasonably luxurious the lovely reading room /coffee lounge and the gardens Nothing, as long as they send me the clothes that I left in the wardrobe.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the grounds and hotel was calm, peaceful and restful. The room was interesting! - originally a monk's cell it could have done with brighter lighting.
The atmosphere of staying in a place where many feet walked before me Remoteness from all activities
Very helpful service Difficult to reach by car
Comfortable and clean. Helpful staff The shower bracket on the wall was broken (room 304)
The staff were very pleasant and helpful with ample room and comfort The parking used was an arrnagement with the hotel quite near but at a fourth floor lower levfel without any means of lift, also the carparking ticket was requested on checking out having to go back to the hotel to hand it in when this could be done for it to expire on midday of checking out.
The staff were pleasant and when my husband said his lunch was alittle cool they remedied the situation immediately and pleasantly with the words "it is easy to change the heat but not the flavour!" A card was given to us for the car park and a member of staff escorted us when we left to retreive the card.We plan to return and loved Ecija. the only problem is parking whilst getting the card for the underground parking. If not careful you get drawn into a one way system in very narrow streets but , living in Spain, we were prepared for it.
Friendly staff and a good location. The rooms need updating, carpets, shower curtains etc.,
The hotel owner was really helpful, giving us a map and marking off the best sights and routes for our short stay.Rooms are modern and airy, bathrooms were good but slightly tired.Breakfast is €2 for coffee and a toasted roll. The menu del dia is excellent at €6.90 with a delicious choice of home made local food. Poteja garbanzos (chick pea soup) and pisto con heuvos (mixed sauteed veg with fried egg) were our favourite starters with choice of meat(inc pigs cheek, very tasty ) and fish for main. House red and plate of Manchego cheese rounded off the night!
Very friendly welcoming staff, good atmosphere, pleasant clean rooms, central location, good value evening meal.
Excellent location, good restaurant with very reasonable prices, comfortable room, friendly staff.
Excellent location near to the main square, and beautiful churches of Ecija. The hotel has character, and a very good and reasonably priced bar and restaurant. It can get very hot in Ecija, and air conditioning was not working.
This hotel was fine for our reason of stayingin Palma Del Rio. It is across the road from a park which is full of restaurants and very family friendly. It is alos close to the other hotel in the town, about 100 yards away. The bar of the hotel is a little goldmine and the service there is excellent. There was only 1 hairdryer and 1 Iron for the whole hotel. An investment in more should not be too much to expect.
