Pros: So peaceful and quiet, Google maps took us right to the front door as it’s not in a town which may be a downside for some if they want to walk into somewhere for food. Maggie and Keith are fantastic hosts, so much fun! Ample places to park, even my beast of a truck. Rooms spotless with everything you could need. Breakfast can be a la terasse if the weather cooperates and is an excellent spread with confiture a la maison!
Cons: Nothing at all not to like for us
Pros: Location and decor
Cons: Separate bathroom- difficult for night time visits
Pros: Maggie is an amazing cook for dinner and breakfast. Her homemade jams are amazing. The garden and pool are so peaceful Dinner was a lovely time spent with the husband who is so friendly. Honestly this place felt like heaven. Just be sure to respect the check in and out times because no negotiation is possible!
Pros: Our hosts Maggie and Keith are wonderful. They are so welcoming and friendly. The location is quiet and peaceful. The bedroom is spacious and very comfortable. Our stay was perfect
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like
Pros: Beautiful French house, with stunning views from the room. Lovely pool and very well kept gardens. Great hosts. The location was quite remote, however the hosts supplied dinner at an additional cost to guests. Lovely relaxing stay and met some really nice people.
Cons: Please note that payment is required by cash only - so don’t get caught out like us. We were travelling for over three weeks and most of our accommodation was either paid in advance or by card as we didn’t want to carry too much cash.
Pros: The breakfast was delicious including freshly baked Madelines and cakes by Maggie. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she and Keith are excellent chambre d'hotes hosts.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and hailing originally from the UK, we're able to accommodate our schoolboy French and help translate for us to the other guests. Lovely
Pros: Wonderfull stay at Laspeyrisses, thanks to Keith and Maggie. All facilities were 100%, table d'hotes/breakfast/swimming pool/location/view... name it: I cannot think of any disadvantage, and will return one day to this lovely spot in France.

Pros: Great breakfast, lovely croissants, fresh bread, fruit and local preserves.
Pros: Excellent property and Matthieu and the team went out of their way to make our week long stay extra special. The room was lovely as was the bar, pool and outdoor seating and eating area. If you are in the area then I would highly recommend a visit.
Cons: Although chef went out of his way to cook different dishes for our young children, I think the property could benefit from a child's menu. Also for longer staying guests to offer snack food / sandwiches etc during the day would go down very well.

Cons: I would like a little more variety at breakfast
Pros: A very nice property in a picturesque and charming location, with fantastic views of the countryside. The hotel facilities are very good, clean and in very good conditions. Linen and toiletries are of very good quality and the shower is fantastic. I loved the restaurant - dinner was 1st class and breakfast was very good. All the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. I recommend unreservedly.
Cons: nothing to report

Pros: Well run hotel in a beautiful location. Renovated bedrooms and pleasant dining room.
Cons: A bit more light in the bedroom for reading would be welcome.
Pros: The location is excellent very close to the lake the rooms are modern and the building is old so a nice mixture. I felt a little odd on my own but just because everyone else was in couples- the staff were great and did not make me feel this way
Cons: Breakfast was €9 - I wasn’t sure if it was included and this wasn’t explained and whilst it was fine it was expensive for a basic cold buffet
Pros: Beautifully located overlooking the lake; we treated ourselves to a bit of luxury for the night.
Pros: Perfect location near the the lake and not too far from the very charming old village Sorèze- decent and satisfying breakfast - pool and Sauna very well kept and convinient - very clean hotel - extremely nice staff - available parking - very nice terrace and overall domain

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Pros: This is a magnificent old building that has been carefully restored. We booked several months ahead. We had a spacious room at the rear with elegant furnishings. View was pleasant but would be better at the front of the house. We had a wonderful evening and night here and would be happy to come again. Saint Joly is a memorable experience with very good hospitality and options for privacy and walks.
Cons: It’s a little way from the road and nearest shop or restaurant. This adds to the experience and is great. But for cyclists it would be good to clearly communicate evening eating options and prices before arrival.
Pros: Breakfast was an optional extra. We opted for it on the first morning. It was a typical french breakfast of local breads, jams, cheese, seasonal fruit and yogurt. The swimming pool was excellent. We had a lovely private terrace with garden furniture. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The village was a small, rural, peaceful village and the house was in the village. A real retreat.
A stay at Hotel Restaurant du Midi places you in the heart of Revel, steps from Museum of Wood and Marquetry and a 4-minute drive from Saint-Ferreol Basin. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nothing stood out. It is an adequate overnight stay but with nothing to really stay in the mind or anything to really recommend to others. The breakfast was adequate with the usual French constituents.
Cons: There was nothing that was really negative. It is just an average place for an overnight stay.
Cons: Doesn't have personal always on front desk. When I arrived I had to wait to someone to come and open the hotel door, so I could checked in
Pros: Good position for walking Via Tolosana.
Cons: First at 14.00 the reception is open.
Pros: Excellent location and very clean and comfortable rooms. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious.

Cozy space and lunch. Secure car park. Free WIFI. Gourmet breakfast at a great price! Deal including room, evening meal at the Cassoulet & Cie restaurant (starter, main, dessert), breakfast (buffet) and holiday tax available Monday to Friday.
Pros: Cleanliness of room and all areas, friendly and efficient staff, extremely quiet location, excellent quality-to-price ratio.
Cons: Hotel next to the highway exit, therefore excellent location for a stop-over (like it was my case), but perhaps less interesting for those wanting to visit or hanging around in Castelnaudary. There is only a fairly good restaurant next dorr, and nothing else around.
Pros: This is a budget hotel yet offers very comfortable, clean accommodation with everything you need. Every member of staff we met were really helpful. The room was spacious with the vanity unit and shower in the room but the glass was frosted and the layout such that you had privacy. The breakfast was very good with a great choice of artisan breads, some pastries, variety of yoghurts, jams, cereals, cheeses, fruit and ham. Plus fruit salad. A variety of hot drinks and cold fruit juices. There was also a free machine where you could make a drink any time of the day. They were happy for you to bring in a take-away to eat either in the dining room or in the outside dining space. The car was in a secure park which was locked at night and the staff have surveillance 24 hours.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like.
Pros: Very satisfied with all of it. Really good efficient overnight stay.
Cons: N/a everything good.
Pros: Was provided with a cot. Excellent and good value breakfast. Excellent partner restaurant. Easy check-in. Hot and powerful shower. Secure parking. Excellent access from motorway.
Pros: Cheap hotel, very clean. Confortable for less than 50€ (for 2 adults)
Cons: Week-end, breakfast ends at 10.30. It is early in the morning for a Sunday... And from 9.30, no more coffee nor cheese...
Pros: Very well designed, comfortable and clean
Cons: The size of the toilet is too small.
Cons: The shower is directly in the room making the room really damp after a shower.
Pros: Good location for travellers, near the autoroute.
Cons: The room layout did not suit me. Look on the website before you book. A ladder next to your bed. A vanity unit in the middle of the room. No privacy if there's 2 of you in the room, it is not how you would expect it to be. Only 1 plug socket in the whole room. Don't Ibis staff ever stay in their own hotel rooms? No bar or vending machine for a beer or a wine.
Located in Castelnaudary, Clos Fleuri is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of St-Papoul Abbey and Bram Archaeological Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great staff, lovely food in restaurant.
Pros: Reasonable sized room on ground floor and a good sized garage for bike lockup. Restaurant was good if a bit overpriced. Are in the evening and staff were fine.
Cons: We arrived at lunchtime after cycling all morning and wanted lunch, which was bluntly refused, as they were busy, even though there were plenty of empty tables and the two of us were hotel ‘guests’. This episode tainted our stay somewhat. Cycled another mile or so into town for lunch.
Cons: Coffee only making facilities.
Pros: Very basic but clean and tidy.
Pros: Friendly staff clean rooms adequate facilities for price of room. Restaurant was good
Pros: we just spent one night there for traveling trough the landscape - english speaking staff - very friendly - we tried the restaurant, very fine - parcing space has been closed during the night - so everything was save in the car - hotel is fine to stay short - fine as well for handicapped people because everything is located at the ground floor - not cheap but affordable
Cons: Only coffee machine in room, no milk. Very basic for the price. Pet friendly as We have ours with us, charge 12.00 euros Only paid 9.00 the night before in beautiful Place. Food and drinks expensive
Pros: Staff were very helpful, very good breakfast
Pros: Slightly jaded outward appearance but very warm welcome from all staff. Lovely courtyard area and excellent restaurant. Close to town centre.
Located in Castelnaudary, Hôtel du Centre et du Lauragais is within a 15-minute drive of St-Papoul Abbey and Bram Archaeological Museum.
Pros: The restaurant and staff were exceptional. Chef to be commended as well as the staff. Rooms clean but very small especially the shower.
Pros: Very helpful and friendly, if overworked, staff. Nice location, and excellent restaurant with good prices.
Cons: Shower was missing some parts, but plenty of hot water.
Pros: Excellent food Great Chef of many years. Hence return wherever possible
Cons: On this occasion the shower hose leaked and had not been repeated adequately
Pros: Central location, handy for shops, bars and restaurants.
Cons: On our arrival we were unable to have a drink (we‘d eaten earlier in the day), even though there were empty tables inside and out, as they might be used by diners
Pros: Food excellent!
Cons: Bed in this day and age was to small!!!
Pros: A typical case of a restaurant with some rooms.
Cons: * The staff, hopelessly arrogant * the food so-so The room was fair.
When you stay at Hôtel De France in Castelnaudary, you'll be 10 minutes by car from St-Papoul Abbey. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Good location
Cons: No wifi in the room
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed. Reliable wifi. Friendly staff
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Pros: The room was good.
Cons: We ate in the hotel’s restaurant. This was a mistake. The fish is not fresh; frozen. My husband spent the night being sick after his meal. We would not stay nor eat here again.
Pros: Didn't try either dinner or breakfast. Good location.
Cons: The previous occupant of the bed in room 103 was in all probability Dumbo the elephant as the depression on the window side was huge, I mean HUGE. A new mattress is definitely required. French plumbing has always been, shall we say, interesting and the shower room in this case was no exception. Basin tap unusual in the cartridge setting but the piece de resistance was the shower tray which was like standing on a half filled water bed, did the plombier forget the supports? Very disconcerting. Water came out from under the shower screen onto the floor but in truth that's their problem not mine.
Pros: Beautifully situated, lovely friendly helpful staff, covered parking for the motorcycles
Located in Lempaut, Chambres d'Hôtes Le Ribet is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Museum of Wood and Marquetry and Revel Market. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and refrigerator in a common area. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: i liked the breakfast, and the family friendly spirit. The tenants were welcoming.
Cons: The tenants were not informed about our arrival, but they adapted very well to the situation, and the room was ready very quick.
Pros: The accommodation is located 30min away from Castres and it's like an old farm. The owner is very friendly and courteous and speaks French / English / German more or less fluently. The atmosphere is very nice and the environment is very silent. I can fully recommend "Le Ribet". Thanks for the nice stay!
Cons: At least in our room, the bathroom is part of the room itself. It is separated by curtain. You should be very familiar with the person you are sharing the room. Otherwise it might be a little bit weird :-)
A stay at La Commanderie places you in the heart of Revel, steps from Museum of Wood and Marquetry and a 4-minute drive from Saint-Ferreol Basin.
Pros: Good location Kind staff
Cons: Small room, big bed with pointing wooden ends where we hurt ourselves a few times. Awful matress! Uncomfortable shower we had to hold it all the time. Very poor breakfast, not worth the price. No one at the reception desk most of the time.
Pros: Nice room in the middle of the town
Cons: No refrigerator in the room
A stay at Restaurant - La Maison du Cassoulet places you in the heart of Castelnaudary, and within a 10-minute drive of St-Papoul Abbey. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location great!
Cons: Spiral staircase with big heavy luggage. Tiny bathroom/shower. No soap. No hairdryer. Tiny toilet.
Pros: Staff are polite and helpful but with limited english Wine list in restaurant was good Storage of our bicycles in basement was good
Cons: Reception was not open when we arrived at 1800 Checkin time of 1800 is very unusual in France Toilet plumbing very smelly. Previous guest also complain but nothing changes. Church bell rang from 0700 to 2200 every 30 mins Toilet is so small a large person cannot fit Cassoulet was only average The house cleaner entered our room before checkout Shower cubicle had mould and poor decor
Pros: Did not take breakfast
Pros: The location and it was cmfortable
Cons: The mozzies
Pros: Exceptionally clean. Great location. Small room but adequate for one night. Value for money.
Pros: Cassoulet for dinner was fine but not exceptional.
Cons: Check-in was at hotel opposite, but no indication of this. Access to all rooms was up a steep, narrow, winding staircase. Room was small, hot and cramped. Parking was at roadside not on site as per website and staff vague about parking restrictions.
Pros: Easy to find. Good location in town.
Pros: Centre of town
Cons: Reception opened at 5 pm. Breakfast was ghastly for 6.50 euros. Weak coffee, tea. Small croissant. No pillow slips. No soap. No access to hair dryer. Description did not say narrow steep stairs to rooms.
Pros: We had a very small room, the dinner had to be cassoulet as the town is famous for it, very good. The breakfast was the usual French affair.
Cons: The parking is a bit tricky you have to be aware of the rules as to blue lines mean payment white lines are free. getting in was a bit tricky having to use the restaurant across the road as the hotel was closed when we arrived.
