A fine building in a prominent position, tastefully decorated with charm and understated quality; definitely a place to relax and unwind. Comfortable and spacious room, a deep bath and soft bathrobes. Dog-friendly (we have 2 labrador-crosses), and a staff which is attentive but unobtrusive.
Pros: The understated quality.
Cons: The restaurant caters to the gourmet / gourmand, and whilst enjoying a good reputation amongst its clientele, those of simpler tastes, looking for a 'square meal' at the end of a tiring day were uncatered for.
