Pros: The overall athosphere was relaxing and beautiful. Marion was extremely nice and helped with all things (e.g. restaurant suggestions). The spot was in good distance from Lourmarin and also other small villages. There was a great supermarket just 500 m from this place.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming old farmstead, tastefully updated and beautifully maintained. Lovely property, rooms comfortable and attractive.
Cons: Cold “hot tub” not open at night, attractive but shallow pool (really only for wading). Traffic noise from highway which is out of sight, but close enough to hear.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is just magical - lovely 300 year old house in beautifully landscaped grounds, heated pool and spa, breakfast served outside on the patio in the sun, and the hostess is super friendly and accommodating. Only 7 min drive from Laurmarin.
Cons: Internet got a little slow at times.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful location with breathtaking views, a lovely pool and excellent helpful staff! Don't be afraid to ask questions because these people were a wealth of information and extremely helpful with booking and ideas. We travelled with a toddler and they were able to provide a pack n play for our child to sleep in and he never slept better! The windows have bug screens so we were able to leave the windows open and hear the sound of distant thunder. It was a truly special experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting. Wonderful host. Perfect homemade breakfast.
Cons: It’s an old house so be prepared to hear other guests moving around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing - the hosts, the house, the garden, the pool, breakfast. Highly recommended!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place to stay We had 4 great nights and couldn't fault a thing. The house stands in idyllic surroundings and the room and breakfast were exceptional. Sophie was the perfect host, looking after our every need and helping with local knowledge of places to see and visit as well as some great restaurant recommendations. When we are next in the area this will definitely be the place we stay.
Cons: Nothing, everything was just perfect.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we entered the expansive property we were totally charmed and delighted. The warm and welcoming owners and staff have considered every detail to make their guests stay exceptional - a lavish buffet breakfast set up on the shaded terrace, with views that made us want to stay forever! Comfortable, elegant and perfectly equipped rooms, wifi that works well everywhere on the property, a cool refreshing big pool surrounded by cushioned loungers. We arrived rather late on the first day of our stay, and Francois, the owner, made reservations for us in the wonderful village of Cucuron, 2 km away. The second night we didn't want to leave the property - it's just too beautiful to go anywhere else! So the staff prepared a delicious cold dinner of cheeses, smoked fish, tomatoes, local wine and we sat and watched the sun set over the lush Luberon valley. This is an exceptional place and we can't wait to return!
Cons: Not a thing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful views, peaceful location, very large room, large (180cm?) comfortable bed, good air conditioning in the bedroom, nice large swimming pool with plenty of day beds and offering both sun and shade, good choice of croissants and other pastries for buffet breakfast taken on the terrace outside. Close to Lourmarin and Cucuron for good choice of restaurants.
Cons: If the weather had not been fine enough to eat breakfast outside on the lovely terrace area then the inside breakfast area consisted of one quite large oval table in the reception area not really large enough to take a full house of guests in comfort. Luckily this did not happen during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful secluded place, run by a wonderful, warm, friendly pair. A daily breakfast is a true feast. Fantastic fruit, great cheeses and fish is accompanied by cakes out of this world. Don't miss almond cake from a local bakery. Nina radiates warmth. Francois is a walking encyclopedia.
Cons: I could not think of anything that could be done better.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location, friendly staff (special mention to Melissa), great breakfast
Cons: The hotel is clean but a little bit run down, not a very good value for money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Totally recommend to stay at this amazing place. The view is stunning, the atmosphere is totally relaxing, the breakfast is outstanding, but the most important is the very welcoming and friendly owners. 10 out of 10!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything we wonderful. the breakfast, the facilities, the staff, everything. This was our second stay and we'll be staying there again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Elephant was amazing. The hosts, Nina and François, are the sweetest hosts you can expect. Our little curious and chatty boy was always around them and they never seemed to be annoyed, on the contrary. The house and its perfect location/view were a little piece of heaven to us. Finally, the breakfast and the member of staff who was taking care of it were absolutely fantastic. Thanks a lot. We will be back...if you don't mind us!

Pros: What a gem! Such a beautiful house in the middle of vineyards, rows of lavender, and a swimming pool for that perfect summer vacation. The views of the surrounding mountains are priceless. Thought we couldn’t like it more, until we met hosts Sandrine and Philippe, who were simply amazing - really warm, hospitable and patient, especially with non-French speakers like us. We felt right at home here. We used the kitchen and microwave to heat up our own dinner for one of the nights, or you could sign up for a home cooked meal for some delightful Provençal tastes by Sandrine! Breakfast is included in the price so it’s superb value. Parking is available and the nearest supermarket is less than 2km away. We are so happy with our choice of accommodation and cannot recommend it more.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The whole property is one of the most beautiful we discovered during our travels through the Provance. The view from the pool is just amazing. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. I think every other room but the one we had would not have the 'smell' issue, so we highly recommend staying there. The room and bed were comfortable, we even had a small kitchen.
Cons: In the bathroom of the small studio we booked, there was a very unpleasant smell, which disturbed our sleep a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, nice and peacefull area. Beautiful and clean accommodation. Good breakfast and delicious dinners, best we got during our stay. Special thanks for Sandrine and her husband for helping us.

Pros: Quirky place in the vineyards. Very nice welcoming owners. Lots of visiting dogs but all well behaved. Friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Aircon in mid summer would be nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast! OMG! A feast! We arrived late after a long day, some missed turns and a re-routing through an olive orchard. The view over the vineyard was lovely and on our arrival, we were serenaded by frogs in the pond. I was going to plead for some boiled eggs, bread & cheese, but found to our delight we were able to have a full dinner of Boeuf au Provence. It was absolutely delicious. The room was quite comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place amongst vineyards. Beautiful room. Nice garden and pool with lots of chairs to lounge. Nice dinner and wonderful homemade breakfast

Cons: There is absolutely nothing we didn’t like.
6.7 Good
Pros: The pool, the yard. The owners were very welcoming.
Cons: The room was nicely decorated but not so comfortable, for just a night stay there was no room for the luggage. We had just the towel for the shower and they smelled moldy. The bread at breakfast was stale, the fruit salad was from a can. WiFi in the room did’t work.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This accomodation exceeded our expections; set in a wonderful quiet location surrounded by olives and winery, the house offers all the modern amenities to make your stay perfectly comfortable while preserving the Provence charm. It is definetly the perfect choice to explore the lovely Provence villages nearby.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little enriched
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice location close to beautiful Lourmarin and with easy access to Aix en Provence and Montagne Saint Victoire and through the pass into the Luberon valley
Cons: Not enough pillows and they smelt musty- like they needed a good wash! Landscaping felt incomplete and pool area was unfinished and maintenance was poor. Busy farmer with family and vineyard and olive groves to manage but with an extra pair of hands to help give that attention to detail and finishing off this place will be stunning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners couldn't have been more welcoming. We were met on arrival and shown our room, which was a cool relief in the heatwave we were experiencing. The room was spotless and the bathroom enormous! It was in a convenient location for us because our friends were renting a house a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast in the morning was a continental breakfast with fresh fruit and lovely jam. The owner very kindly topped up our coffee and gave us second helping of everything until we were full!
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Our visit was sublime. Valerie was much more than a B&B owner and went out of her way to make our visit perfect. She spoke little English and we, French, yet she helped us constantly and we felt at home. She was a wonderful guide for the area. Her breakfasts were delicious, fresh and homemade. When she learned that my husband was allergic to sugar, she made him a special menu. She was also able to get all the guests (now only 3 rooms) to interact and put a smile on all faces. Le Max aux Aromes was in a beautiful location, central to the Provence, Luberon, and Riviera. Most of what we wanted to see was no more than 2 hours away. The B & B's setting was perfect to wake up to or end a long day of sites and the pool added to it all. Birds, flowers, cliff and unspoiled scenery abounded. They even had a stream through the property with 2 small bridges. The premises was clean, inviting, and our room was new, with our own porch, table, chairs and clothes line. There was also a community kitchen area where we picnicked when the bugs came around. I would strongly recommend Le Mas aux Aromes as an incredible home base to explore the Provence area of France.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host, good breakfast, location
Cons: No moskito net and is a real potty not to be able to air the room properly since it was in the woods.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner and his wife were utterly delightful. Nothing was too much!
Cons: Nothing whatsoever to dislike

Pros: Very nice place. Top view and garden.
Cons: Bathroom ... three loose tiles. Door toilet jammed... could not get any eggs for breakfast .. before 9 am ... no service at the swimming pool. For that price not really acceptable.

Pros: Domaine de Fontenille was the French chateau of our dreams! The accommodations were luxurious and thoughtful. Upon checking in, we found a handwritten note and a bottle of rose. Each morning we were given fresh biscuits and the weather report. The staff were friendly and helpful. The amenities such as the pool, park, winery, and Michelin Star restaurant were amazing. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be returning!

Cons: Everything was excellent!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful. Food excellent. Rooms great. Grounds amazing. staff very friendly. Always helpful. Child friendly attitude. You are staying in a stunning vineyard. What can we say we loved the place
Cons: Basically access / timing of food and drink. Restaurants and room service hours are too narrow. and room service menu too small. Particularly starting late at night. Understand it is the local culture. But with children 7:30pm start in evening for food is way too late. And don’t miss the 12-2pm lunch timings (nite similar timings all over the locality). There is always the supermarket if you get caught short.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really cute little room in the garden which we really loved. Felt very peaceful with a lovely outdoor seating area. Beautiful grounds and views in every direction. Ok gym, and a nice pool area. Staff were helpful at check in but didn’t really see anyone after that. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.
Cons: Lack of obvious bar service was an oddity.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Park is awesome!
Cons: Service performance of dinner restaurant could be a bit more perfect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, great pool, lovely restaurants.
Cons: Staff are rather young and struggle deal with questions or situations that arise. Also, it’s rather far from town, so a car is required to go anywhere.

9.3 Excellent (52 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Cucuron, La Vaureille is in a regional park, a 4-minute drive from Domaine La Cavale and 5 minutes from Musee Extraordinaire.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast
Cons: Lack of cooking facilities
7.9 Good
Pros: Most unusual B and B in the heart of the village - more an apartment than a room, as it has a living area with dining table and kitchen area as well as the bedroom areas (2 double beds and a single). Stylishly decorated to the owner's individual taste which is very suiting to the property. Caroline the owner provided us with a good breakfast and was welcoming, giving us useful information about the Luberon area.
Cons: A word of warning to anyone who might have mobility problems, disabilities or very small children. There are open staircases in the property (concrete and wooden) which have to be used to access the bathroom and toilet, also the second double bed which is on a mezzanine. No rails to hold on to and care needs to be taken. There are also about 8 steps up from the front door to access the main room. On street parking can be a problem, as Cucuron has very narrow, one way streets and is a very popular destination, even in September when the schools have returned.

Pros: We found this place by accident. We did not like the originally booked place that's why we tried to find a something different. This place is a miracle!!!! When we opened the big red door and entered to the garden, I felt it I am in the paradise!! I have really never seen such a unique place. The design of the room was fantastic. Every morning we ate something different typical french breakfast. Ghislaine and Robert served 15 different types of jams, and 5 different types of bread. The village is very calm, and the people are very kind. It is not a question: WE ARE GOING BACK!
Cons: It was perfect!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views of garder & innerpatio (may-june provence!) with pond and arches, luscious vegetation & flowers. Spacious room, good matress, quiet sleep. Tasteful choice of colors and textiles giving good atmosphere. Bathroom with a tub & with separate shower. Continental Breakfast with home made marmelades (try the green tomato confiture!) and excellent bread assortment (pain de noix) in the patio. Pleasant owners, making you feel home, helping to find way in the region, and even to give a tip on an element not to forget in a wedding speech!
Cons: I would come back, so nothing bad that i did not like. Not essential, but tips for improvements or better confort could be a credit card terminal, to review the flushing efficiency of the toilet, and a slight sewage odour hint at the bathtub- only when taking a bath, and the time it takes to have hot water (on which we were warned well by the owner when showing the room).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome, excellent room, amazing breakfast.
Cons: No radio or TV and no facilities to make tea or coffee in the room.

Pros: Everything about this place is great! The house is very beautiful with a nice garden and cute pool inside. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Will miss this place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness, kindness of our guests. We loved the breakfast, relaxing time and taste happiness (breads, fruits..). Ideal location in the center of the village and tourist sites. Exceptional house, nice and comfortable room and especially very well maintained. We will come back it's obvious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful warm welcome from Mme & M. and family. We had the family room which was spacious, comfortable and had stylish furnishings and overlooked the garden courtyard. Good continental breakfast which varied from day to day served in the sunny courtyard. A very good restaurant a short drive away which was recommended to us. A half hour drive to Aix-en-Provence. The owners are very thoughtful, kind and helpful: it was a joy to stay with them.
Cons: Nothing, we wish we could have found time to stay longer.

Pros: Breakfasts were a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The croissants are baked on the premises and the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The waitress was friendly, as were the reception staff. We had a lovely large, well appointed room which overlooked the cafe below. Lourmarin is a delightful village, one of the prettiest in the Luberon and one steps out of the foyer into the village. Highly recommended!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building, full of character in great position for village. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great views of chateau opposite.
Cons: Bathroom was a little tired. Not a lot of choice for breakfast

Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location for us attending a wedding between Aix and Lourmarin. Very nice sized room with sitting area by the bathroom and separate toilet near the bedroom.
Cons: Parking is difficult in Lourmarin and the hotel had no designated spots(which I knew before arrival).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the rustic French style of this boutique style hotel (which is actually quite large but doesn't feel like it) which is in a great location with some gorgeous views across the French countryside. Rooms were small but charming and the bed and bed linen super comfortable. The hotel has a lovely courtyard restaurant where we had dinner one night - the food was exceptional and the setting very romantic. I thought the food was very good value for money and the servings were extremely generous. All the staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very pleasant village
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very attentive, polite, and very responsive, from the cleaning gals to the front desk to the restaurant. The building is an old olive mill so the layout is a little quirky but works nicely. The A/C works reasonably well even during very hot days. Rooms on the village street side can be loud with people going by but windows are efficient and tune out the noise. I would stay there again and recommend it unless you need a pool.
Cons: The general seating area of the hotel could use some A/C on hot days.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel property was excellent. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Lourmarin was a good base to take day trips to other historic and quaint cities. Definitely would stay here again and recommend the hotel and city to explore Provence!
Cons: Unfortunately, there was a ‘festival ‘ happening at the castle on the Friday and Saturday of our stay that played loud and obtrusive music from 2000 hours until after midnight. Fortunately, this celebration happens only once a year and no fault of the hotel!

Pros: Excellent staff, really great food and nice surroundings. Would have liked to stay for another night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful garden setting, with pool (weather too cool for us to use), & easy chairs for relaxing. Very spacious room, nicely furnished and comfortable bed. Good, well-equipped bathroom.
Cons: No desk in bedroom to use laptop. The lighting in the room was too dim for practical purposes--atmosphere over functionality. We had looked forward to eating in the hotel's main restaurant, which has a good reputation, However, it was closed on the night of our visit, which we were not made aware of when we booked the room and requested a table that night for dinner. Dinner, such as it was, was served in a casual bistro-style space with very limited and not very inspiring food although a very expensive wine list. Staff were perfunctory rather than warm and welcoming. The location requires a car, as it is too far out of Lourmarin and not at all close to Cadenet.
