Motorcycle touring No lift and three floors
very nice managers-very helpful. great location.for us was a bit expensive but we knew it...family feeling .if you want quite that is the place. their where not a lot of options in this area for hotels and for us it was a bit expensive.
Nice, clean room, great view, nice service. Highly recommended.
Excellent evening meal at very reasonable price. Excellent mountain and valley view. Reception not clearly signposted from the outside. Approach to parking rather tight.
Good location, out of town but with a fabulous view across Bourge St Maurice. Small room but adequate for a couple of nights. Lack of lift/elevator meant carting luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Bunk bed across the double bed was dangerous. (My wife hit herself badly when attempting to get into bed at night.)
The location was amazing. The rooms and cleanliness were fantastic. Staff friendly and helpful and the meal was nice too. Good price for food and drinks - certainly didnt rip us off. no
Small hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Limited menu in the restaurant but we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. Superb views from the rooms.
I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the condition of the room.
Nice view on the valley
The Hotel staff were particularly friendly and helpful. On a windy day in La Rosiere the manager sugested we should ski in Saint Foy instead. We were given a discount voucher for the ski pass and ended up having a fantastic day. Discount vouchers were also avialable for Les Arc. Saint Foy was only a 25min drive. There is a local bus stop 50metres down the road and the bus costs 3euros to La Rosiere. There is only one local bus in the morning between 0830 and 0900 to La Rosiere and one returning at 1745. If you need to travel outside these times then a taxi is 30euros. Unless you're prepared to stick to the bus times and limit your skiing to La Rosiere a car is essential.
Olde worlde charm and great staff
Great location and views, traditional decor, informal friendly atmosphere Double bed would have been preferable to twin beds pushed together
Beautiful hotel, fantastic food, friendly staff
The proprietors were lovely people who were so willing to make us comfortable, it was a lovely experience meeting them! The "complimentary tea and coffee" was non existent after we'd had the 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup of mint tea on the first afternoon!
Hotel is very friendly and environmentally aware, with biodegradable bath mats and towels
Very well family run hotel (by husband and wife)only Very pore selection of evening meal have breckfast but do not have dinner
Very charming place with charming hard working owners If they spent a little more on breakfast they would create a much better impression. i.e. natural fruit juice, proper cereal, fresh bread. The difference in cost is very little the difference in impression is great.
It is much farther from La Rosiere (the narest ski resort) than listed on their website. About 7Km would be more accurate. A charming hotel nonetheless.
Perfect location. Very friendly, flexibile staff. Good, enough dinner and breakfast. Pool in the mountains!
Very comfortable room. Arrived by taxi. No details of directions to reception. General lack of help and assistance form some mebmers of the reception staff. Not a high quality service. Restaurant ambience more like holidy inn standard. Hotel arrangement of rooms like a prison corridoors. Does not justify the price.
located close to the piste and the forest. It was nice and silent by our room during the night and we were still close to all entertainment
I didn't like anything. Very expensive price for the service that this hotel offers. Inacceptable. Room not very clean. People impolite. Extremely expensive for what it is. People of the service not polite at all, room on the first floor with view to a back road, drafts dirty...
The bar area was fantastic. A lovely chill out area after skiing. The position of the hotel is ideal The rooms were fairly basic and cramped
Room having lots of storage not very helpfull for local info i.e busses etc
Location - easy access to restaurants, shops and slopes. There was no fitness room as advertised on web and in the hotel. Suggest booking ahead for treatments especially if the weather is expected to be bad i.e.spa was fully booked when we arrived. The cleaning service was not great - left rag, didn't vaccuum, left dirty glasses. Upon arrival, glass we pulled from mini-bar was dirty with lipstick marks. We're lucky we did not have to pay full price.
The staff were very helpful, although dinner menu was in French the receptionist learnt the menu in English for us.
The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Excellent layout with integrated ski locker room and spa. Good location, right on the slopes! For the hotel, it would have been better if there was parking available. Whilst there is plenty of free parking along the streets, depending on your car depends whether you are happy leaving it roadside, in snowy and slippery conditions where inexperienced drivers could "bump" into it! The only thing is not related to the hotel but rather to Les Arcs 1600, there is not actually very much going on there and for proper apres ski you need to go to 1800.
the decor is friendly so is the staff. breakfast is good and plentyfull smoking should be banned on the balcony. room too warm
The decor at the hotel was wonderful, very original.
Staff were very accommodating about letting me use the facilities on my last day so I could go skiing and then return home in the evening even though I had checked out.
very helpful staff, lovely quiet room with mountain view, very comfortable bed, (we were upgraded to a bigger room), excellent breakfast more toiletries would have been nice!
Very friendly staff, very nice and cozy rooms, beautiful surroundings in the France Alps
A very nice room with good facilities. Staff very helpful. Ideal location for exploring Val D'Isere region.
The view to the mountains The way to the hotel was under construction.
Two of us stayed for a few days at the very end of the 2010 ski season. They were very flexible allowing us to stay thursday to thursday (because of work commitments) rather than usual saturday to saturday. We had a very large apartment. A short walk to the slope and we could ski all the way back to the front door. The apartment was a bit noisy because we were right next to boot room and the main entrance.
Good value for self catering at 31 euro per night, reasonable quality acommodation (perhaps not quite the advertised 4*) beautiful mountain views and great walks directly from the hotel. Friendly staff. Site still under construction during ourstay at the end August 2008
Fantastic apartments right on the piste. We went in July and it was great for walking and mountain biking. Excellent value for money in summer at eur 45 per night. Secure underground car parking and full cooking facilities. We'd definetly stay again. Important to be aware that you will have to clean the apartment and have it inspected prior to your departure. We had to go and buy cleaning products, so best to take some with you.
Great Location and view.......could have spent another week here! Everything was really great, but there was no Wi-Fi access available in your room/apartment. If Wi-Fi was available, this hotel would be absolutely perfect!
Friendly staff and a very clean and spacious appartment. The views out over the Isere valley were stunning and although this was a summer trip access to the ski slopes would be fantastic. A shame there was no balcony furniture to sit out and enjoy the summer evenings. The area around the appartments will be much improved when the grass grows!
Location to great alpine walks; value for money; well equipped for self catering and great view from the balcony. Only - minor - comment was that a kettle would have been good. Also free access to wi-fi would have been appreciated.
Nice few from windows. Big appartment. New furniture. Car parking is included.
