3.0 Mediocre
Cons: There was a power cut, and we didn't have any lights for 1 hour. Our children were terrified because it was dark. We had to have lunch in the dark.. The staff didn't even offer a discount. We were very dissapointed.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Had an electric car charging point Two story family room was beautiful
Cons: The swimming pool was closed in winter which was a surprise. Would have been better if the pool table in lobby was free to play so people had a reason to hang around there. Charging 2euro a go made it feel like a cheap pub.

Cons: This is a hidden gem....we shall definitely be going back!
6.4 Good
Pros: Size of room. Helpful staff. Location is picturesque and close to main motorway. Golf readily available on flat parkland type course
Cons: Bit shabby in places showing signs of wear. Breakfast average spread for 12 Euro PP (automatically added to bill) but with many wasps and flies due to location in forest. Not necessarily Hotel's fault but disappointing.
6.8 Good
Pros: Duvet was very warm, blanket was not easily obtainable
Cons: The rain! But that was not their fault
7.2 Good
Pros: The surroundings of this hotel are amazing - and the rooms are large. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The wi-fi did not work so I had to use the hotels network in their office to get online with my computer - this was a bit of a bother. The hair dryer in my room did not work - to fix this they opened a vacant room for me to dry my hair - this was also a bit inconvienent.

7.0 Good
Pros: We booked the junior suite which had ample space for a couple + dog. The room was warm and clean. There were bath salts to use which was a nice touch. They provided an extra flat sheet which we could spread over the sofabed to protect it from naughty paws investigating. The grounds were fantastic - we felt very safe being able to let the dog run and play after a long drive! The shower was also large enough to rinse off the dog after she sniffed out and rolled in something outside too (bring your own dog shampoo though). They did offer room service however, we opted for the restaurant (because the dog was sufficiently tired enough to rest from the running anyway!) The restaurant served very nice food! (Truffle pasta and profiteroles were lovely! And my husband's steak was cooked perfectly). The gentleman who helped us throughout our stay was pleasant and patient while I practiced my French although would happily switch to Engish if I wasn't understanding.
Cons: The internet was a problem! One of our laptops could connect to a slow wifi connection from the desk. The other laptop could not find a signal whatsoever. Unfortunately, this is a big problem as our business is internet based.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Good evening meal sitting looking over the water mill. Good selection for breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location for breaking our journey, friendly staff and good value.
Cons: Grounds a bit tired, but it is the end of winter!
6.0 Good
Pros: Room fine but like the rest of the hotel (which appears to be up for sale) looking a bit tired and in need of redecoration. Dinner was good, in that price range, with a view of the mill wheel and its changing colours light show.
Cons: Breakfast room quite basic with a TV dominating it, not very relaxing. Village very quiet indeed, may be livelier in season.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Restaurant food is excellent. Lots of free parking.
Cons: Bathrooms require maintenance and some upgrading, starting to look past their best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room overlooking the river. Although winter time, nice to stretch our legs and have a wonder around the village. We only stayed for the one night on route home but would definitely choose to stay here again when in the area. Wonderful evening meal in the restaurant with superb food. Good descriptions online which are very accurate. Nice continental breakfast.
Cons: Personally, l did not find the bed very comfortable although my other half had no such issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Only sorry we had just one night there!
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent

6.3 Good
Pros: Location.
Cons: Tired. Lacking a bit of pride.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A bar with rooms. Reception is a bit hit or miss as there is no one there if the bar is closed, and we couldn’t get the phone to work. However once we got in the owner could not have been more helpful. Room was a bit tired, but fine for overnight. Secure garage space for the motorbikes.
Cons: No reception when the bar is closed. For some reason we could not get through properly to the displayed phone number.

Cons: Thought there was a restaurant there is NOT S
6.7 Good
Pros: The rooms were of a high standard, and very clean. One room had a new bathroom, which was lovely. The other had not yet been refurbished. The manager was very helpful and accommodating. It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.
Cons: The reception area was a little discouraging, in a small bar. Hotel is in the midst of refurbishment so the route from reception to the rooms was a bit unprepossessing. We were unable to find any restaurants at all in the town, apart from McDonald's (the kids were more than happy with this!)

4.6 Okay
Pros: Locality not bad
Cons: Stayed here 15 years ago when it was newly refitted... Nothing spent on it since... Hotel had a bad smell, our bathroom sealant was rank and the AIR-Con USELESS
6.3 Good
Pros: Lovely building in a lovely french village. Refurbed nice clean bathroom.
Cons: Advertised as having free parking, no parking at all, street parking only, however nice safe area. Hotel describes itself as a smoke free property, group of foreign people smoking shouting and playing loud music at both 2.30 am and then again at breakfast time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very accommodating and they had triple & quadruple rooms which are great for families. And the beds were very comfy.
Cons: For the price, everything was excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: We wanted an overnight stay on our way to the Alps that offered a little bit of charm and this rather quirky BnB didn't disappoint. Beautiful vintage decor, charming hosts and a lovely continental breakfast in the morning.
Cons: There was a particularly noisy donkey nearby!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although the house is near the main road it is secluded in private grounds among lovely mature trees that gives a nice quiet restful feeling. The house is of an interesting design with many intriguing and beautiful antiques that had been collected over the years. Baptiste the owner was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Having breakfast in the dining room surrounded by the period furniture and elegant decor made us feel like we had stepped back in time. All in all a very enjoyable stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big airy rom (30m2) and huge wonderfully decorated bathroom. Interesting architecture and thoughtfully decorated - plenty of antique furniture and objects.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully decorate, spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast and an accommodating host
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Domaine de la côte aux chats is in a quiet, country location. On arrival, Baptiste the owner took time to give a brief tour of the property, including giving some history about it and the items it contains. The room was very clean and well appointed, but in keeping with the age of the house. Advice was given about places to eat in the evening. Breakfast comprised locally sourced produce. A lovely and interesting place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything was very good and Batiste was 5 stars always doing the best for all the guests. Excellent . I really recommend a stay in Domaine a la cote aux chats. Thanks
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very pretty, unique and quirky. Secure away from other property.
Cons: Would have liked a means of making a hot drink in the evening
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room, the house, the surroundings, all breathe the same vintage look and is nicely restored/renovated. You imagine yourself easily back in time. The continental breakfast is of good quality, fresh and local. The location is surprisingly nice with the opportunity to walk around the lake. (by foot or starting point 3min drive).
Cons: Everything is in a very nice, old-fashioned style, this however comes with some practical downsides. The bed for example was rather small to accommodate a tall couple like us and there are few electrical sockets. The sound insulation between rooms is like in the old days.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: If you like your antiques then this is the property for you. Lovely house and grounds along with large spacious rooms. it felt as though I was stepping back in time to the start of the century - great.
Cons: The owner has a lot of antique items around the property which I was a bit unsure about especially when pulling on a suitcase in one hand and holding a large bag in the other - I was concerned that I might break something. The owner is very trusting. Not sure what I would do if I had young children as I would be concerned about breakages!

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Your room was beautiful very friendly people I will come again hundred percent
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Remarkably cheap for the standard of service. The area around Montier-en-Der seems to be off the usual tourist route, but the countryside is magnificent: huge open spaces with rolling meadows, and of course the lake, which has a really pleasant leisure area 10km from the hotel where you can swim, wander around, eat and drink (just follow the very straight D12/D13 that goes north).
Cons: Physically the hotel seems to need some renovation, but there's nothing wrong with it.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful with a really nice restaurant terrace. The dinner I had was good and staff are friendly. The owner is super helpful and considerate - due to changed travel plans we decided to check out a day early and she adjusted out booking. A great stay and recommendation for anyone exploring the region!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: food was great
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Wanted a stop at a half-way point on the long haul between Provence and home; Arsonval is a dead village, like many others on the main [Champagne route] road to Bar-sur-Aube (worth a visit), but the hotel provided exactly what we needed after a tough drive in busy conditions. Quiet room facing fields/river on the back of the property, perfect for us & the dog. Excellent menu choices and wide range of local champagnes. Eclectic selection of guests (those with kids visiting nearby Nigloland, together with those on the champagne tours), made it a full house for dinner. Buffet breakfast looked good, but we needed to press on.
Cons: Noisy kids running around without adequate parenting; not the hotel's fault.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I asked for a ground floor room to accommodate my husband's needs and we were given a suitably situated room and also a walk in shower as they thought this would be appropriate. The evening meal was, as expected, excellent.
Cons: Considering value for money, I don't think anything needs to be changed. This is a small friendly family run hotel and restaurant so I do not expect luxury.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, dog friendly, excellent food and wine. Good value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All is excellent and I would recommend a stay there when in the area searching out Champagne Houses.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good beds, good food, nice garden
Cons: No heating in the bathroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A new menu this time, all super.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was really well situated for our return trip to the UK and we would definitely return there for a longer stay in the summer, as the local lake and surrounding area looked amazing. We were well looked after by the owner who spoke excellent English and booked us a table at a local restaurant, which was overlooking the lake. Fantastic meal there and at a good price. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a good size, well appointed and very clean throughout. Good shower too.
Cons: Nothing

7.6 Good (337 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at LOGIS Le Tadorne in Piney, you'll be steps from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is a series of connected buildings, its quaint but charming. Also its a myriad of stairs and hallways at first glance, but after the first breakfast it turns out to be quite simple. This all depends on which room you get. The rooms with a second bed, actually have a folding couch with springs. Good for children, not for bigger adults. I think up to 1,7m and 70Kg its allright for a night. We had the room above the bar, so the traffic on the road passes in front of our room. The insulaton is very good, and it was friday and saturday morning is not too busy. The breakfast is very good. They offer fresh orange juice, from a manual machine. NIce for the kids to turn the handle ! There was jam [ more jelly with a colour, could be better ], cheese, ham and a variety of bread, fruit and yoagurt and cereals. There is a terrace, so if the weather permits you could sit outside. There are rooms in the courtyard 'au calme' , but these only have a single double bed. The restaurant is good too. They have a daily dish and a choice of menu's. Perfect stopover, or to scout the area.
Cons: The airco did not work. I forgot to tell the reception. It was not cold or warm, but we always switch the 'fan' on to generate some background noise to prevent sudden noises to wake us up. But without it we slept quite good. Also the staff right below us [ bar /breakfast ] were very quiet and did NOT wake us up early.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location away from motorway. Good functional rooms and very clean. The restaurant is excellent. Private parking available and if full, free public parking is next door. We returned to this hotel mainly for the restaurant as the menu and the food are excellent. It is worth the few extra kilometres to eat here and it is very peaceful.
Cons: No hot selection for breakfast despite having to serve yourself. I managed the waffle machine. The option to boil even one egg would have improved the experience. I could not find any breakfast tea only fruit tea. Not good value for money. €11.00 for a waffle and some bread! The bar did not have any of the bottled beers on their list.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very quirky hotel, pool, friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Cons: Resturant menu was very French, with 3 children we struggled so ate elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stuff of the hotel was extremely helpful. Rooms and building are super-nice.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Service at restaurant was poor. Too much traffic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was our 2nd visit we had a triple room which was HUGE (very big) and extremely comfortable with a bath shower and dressing room. Dinner was great we went for the 6 course menu and tried lots of different flavours and types of food. Not cheap but excellent value and superbly cooked. Breakfast was excellent also if a bit expensive at €11 each.
Cons: Nothing!

Cons: There is nothing I didn't like, for me it was just right.
7.9 Good
Pros: A tree outside our window Great location, safe parking Friendly welcome New and sparkling clean bathroom
Cons: A squeaky floor Little space in the breakfast area, have to exuse other guests sitting at the table to get to the coffee machine or bread
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our hostess was friendly and helpful. The room was large and tastefully decorated. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was very good. Great bike storage.
Cons: The Google maps geocoding is incorrect, so I spent some time trying to enter the local school building until I realised my error! More obvious roadside sgnage would help.

Pros: This place is amazing Super clean Friendly staff Secure parking
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The exterior is the stables for Napoleon's cavalry, but inside the design is very modern and quite out of keeping with the lovely architecture. Having said that, it is comfortable with good bathrooms and a lovely, light breakfast room, even if the wallpaper is a bit dazzling for early morning. The floor creaks and the curtains do not shut, but the hosts have made an effort to create a modern interior in an old house. We used it as a stop off the motorway, but in fact it is one hour from both the N5 and N4 (Troyes and Reims) in the midst of flat champagne country, not really convenient for a trip from Alps to Calais, but the town does boast one of the oldest, most important churches in the region.
Cons: The decor, the breakfast room wallpaper, the creaking floorboards.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Having had someone attempt to steal my motorcycle in France last year I based my hotel search this year on having decent parking for the bike this year. Le Beuil fitted my needs perfectly as parking is behind a tall gate. The owners were very friendly although their English was limited it was still better than my French and we had a funny half an hour chatting with them.
Cons: Nothing, the property was great. The local shop was a tad expensive.

Pros: Jaqueline and Didier went out of their way to help when our car broke down and we had to check in much later then expected. They also let us leave later to give us time to amend our travel arrangement. They were very friendly and kind which made a big difference because we were feeling quite stressed.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very quirky house with its own secluded garden Parking is behind a tall gate which closes off the property. Good facilities for cooking and bar & supermarket are both within easy walking distance.
Cons: Mattress a little thin & laid on pallets. Very Bohemian! Steep spiral staircase made it difficult to get luggage into bedroom. I didn't bother. Very difficult to find. Even the locals did not know where it was & I called at a house no more than 100ms away. FYI If you park in the parking area on the opposite side of the road to the church an face away from the church it is the first property on the left down the unmade road in the right hand corner of the car park

Pros: The owner is an exceptional host, who puts her heart and love into taking care of her guests. It was a very modern place, very clean and comfy. The French breakfast was delicious and tailored to our needs.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic host, couldn't do enough for us even though we could only communicate through a combination of broken French and broken English. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: There was no fan or air con so the room was extremely hot during the heatwave.
7.5 Good
Pros: The owner is very friendly and means well. The suite was spacy and comfy. Breakfast was nice: bread, croissant, home made jam and honey, corn flakes, grapes, cheese, coffee, tea and juice. Location: in a town without shops or restaurants. You have to drive about 7 kilometers to the nearest town. We received a small bottle of champagne when we left. Free parking space on the property. The rate of 110 euros for a night with breakfast (2 adults and 2 children), without aircon is rather pricy.
Cons: Unfortunately, when we stayed it was exeptionaly very hot. Without airconditioning it takes a while before you fall asleep. We woke up several times during the night. The owner appologized.

Cons: We liked everything. This place must score higher than a 10.
