Pros: Wonderful, large, historic house. The bedrooms are spacious, with old, beautiful furniture, paintings and other classic elements, as well as an excellent bed. Each room has a separate toilet and a spacious, again classic bathroom. In the garden is a magnificent, fairly large swimming pool with comfortable garden chairs around it. There is an opportunity to cook for yourself. We were welcomed with a drink in the conservatory by the very friendly host and hostess. In the morning we enjoyed a very extensive and delicious breakfast, partly consisting of regional and home-made products. Too bad we only reserved for one night, so we would like to come back again.
Pros: Wonderfull people and a fantastic house nice big room very clean and the mountains are breathtaking in the neighborhoud
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Delightful property. Quirky, ancient in parts but a real pleasure. Great room and breakfast. Wonderful host, reception and departure.

Pros: Me and my partner stayed few days in a lovely room in this nice house. The owners are super nice and they gave nice tips on what to see in the surroundings. The breakfast was simply amazing, the best way to start the day. I definitely recommend to stay at La Maison Blanche
Cons: There was a misunderstanding on the payment because I thought we payed the room when I booked, but it wasn't the case. It is not the owners fault, but I suggest to double check your reservation when you make the booking.
Pros: A very quiet location. Lovely room and bathroom. The host was delightful.
Pros: Very lovely place!

Pros: Basic but clean, the hotel was ideally placed close to the venue I was attending for an event. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent, with homemade salmon carpaccio and pear puree! The river location itself is looking a bit sorry for itself while they look to be bolstering a flood defence system but, with views to the mountains and the pretty town very close by that could be overlooked!
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Parking, and mirrors in the room
Pros: Staff welcoming comfy beds and views from balcony also excellent food .confirm
Cons: Building tired and very quiet area need own transport.
Pros: Front desk very friendly and helpful. Clean, large room with fridge and bath.

Cons: The rooms could benefit from redecoration.
Pros: The location is fantastic and restaurant very good
Cons: 2nd time of stopping here rooms need an update
Pros: Everything! The room was spacious with plenty of places to sit, it had good cross-ventilation (needed in summer). the bed was very comfortable, the balcony offered great views of the Pyrenees, the hosts were very nice and accommodating, and the location was perfect for exploring the old town.
Cons: The portions at dinner could have been larger, though we had cycled there and worked up an appetite.
Pros: Dinner was delicious, super wine , professional and friendly staff

Pros: A grand old building with great views right in the middle of old saint lizier. Perfect French breakfast to start the day.
Pros: The owner Michel was such a lovely man .we could have stayed there listening to him for ages he is so knowledgable and interesting.made our stay even nicer .Great place to stay
Pros: I am afraid this review is blighted by the horrendous experience we had with the owner. I had booked this for my friends, an active very pleasant older couple. On arrival they were harangued that two bookings had been made, they hadn't as we can prove. Please read below what we encountered. They said they had enjoyed dinner cooked by a lady and found other guests joining them at the table to be really interesting and nice. Less pleasant they said was the owner sitting back looking deshabillé with his shirt badly buttoned. Breakfast was all fine. This is a pretty old town, just note that access by car is tricky as the road climbs up through the old town and is very narrow as it winds up, but lovely old area. Excellent huge market in St Girons on Saturday.
Cons: My friends, who I had booked this stay for, had great difficulty in gaining entry and were eventually let in by a neighbour. They were then greeted by the owner, shirtless'. Not a pleasant, or encouraging welcome sight they said. They were then offered a choice of two rooms, one being his evidently, which they said smelt of large mountain dog. ( we love dogs as we have 4 I should say) He then protested to them and maintained he had made an extra booking for me, and as he was full, had made it elsewhere (really?) , all this due to my name simply being at the top of the booking.com account confirm. He wouldn't take no and the booking.com proof that he had made a mistake. It was my account but for one room which was in their name- this had worked perfectly the night before in St Girons. So there is, or should be no possible excuse for any mistake from experienced hoteliers. They agreed to leave it until we came to collect them in the morning. When we came to collect them, they had by then paid him in full for the room and dinner. He had they said asked for cash as he said 'his card machine wasn't working'. He then kept on about this other (non existent) booking. He then also wordy said it was for another two nights, totally bonkers. Waving random papers around which he really didn't want to show properly. I asked him to let me show him and I followed him upstairs to show him a)my email proof that it was one room for 2guests for 1 night and supposedly for him b)to show me his paperwork. Upstairs Clearly he didn't have it, nor would he look at my booking.com confirm. When I very calmly ( he was shouting loudly at me by now) said he had made mistake, he told me to 'get out' and then went for me, and thumped me hard on my right shoulder. ( I am a mid 60's lady) horrified and frightened with the steep staircase right behind me, I told him to 'stand back and not to touch me'.
Pros: Interesting hosts and guests! Totally charming.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike!
Pros: this is a very special place. A very old villa walled in with tiny pathways in an old medievel town.We arrived with the help of a lovely lady who lived nearby and were welcomed in. Belle the white mountain dog fitted in so well and welcomed us. The room ( we were given a choice) had a very comfortable double bed and a stylish bath and sitting area with ancient window looking over the roofs. But the best of all was the pool boy did i love it so hot and humid and then a dip perfect. we eat in a nearby town and found by accident a trad french resturant great meal and creme caramel. Breakfast excellent all guests at big table with our host in full flow such fun well done all Some clever touches the old door had an electronic key to open an close it very clever I did not bother with the wi fi The guide to the house in the room ( in english) was great and made me courious .
Cons: as mentioned in other reviews it is difficult to find I could not believe that the road could take a car
Pros: Very friendly and helpful! Great pool area and very lovely and peaceful. Lovely mountain dog in residence!
Cons: Breakfast was left overs from other guests. The table was dirty with crumbs and left over food. Previous guests had taken most of the bread and croissants. Staff made no effort to clean the table or offer fresh food. Had to ask for milk and fresh coffee. Hotel is very quirky which is OK but gave the impression of being dirty but it is a very old building. Also access is difficult through the narrow winding streets. Not sure if we expected to much but our room wasn't cleaned or made up for our second night.
Pros: Beautiful building, fantastic views, welcoming and very knowledgeable host. Lovely village.

Pros: The owners and staff were friendly, efficient, helpful and willing to put themselves out to help us. The food was excellent.
Pros: Nice & very friendly people
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: We stayed in room number 1, unfortunately it had no door on the bathroom. The bathroom needs updating. Had to hold shower attachment whilst showering as no hook on wall to attach it. Not sure about the artificial grass on the floor of the bathroom?
Pros: Basic but very clean. For relaxing it’s perfect Great food.
Pros: A typical family run logis in a small village between somewhere and somewhere else. As such it is one of those ideal places to stop for the night, recharge your batteries in quiet surroundings and enter the fray the following day. Our room overlooked a large garden with patio but unfortunately, being early season and a sunday evening, it was a facility we were unable to take advantage of. Likewise the hotel’s cuisine as the restaurant was closed but the hotelier directed us to a nearby restaurant where we partook of an enjoyable fine dining experience in a friendly atmosphere.
Cons: The keycode number did not work and we were locked out!!!
Pros: Parking in the garage of the hotel. diner was nice
Cons: room was noisy and bathroom needs refurbishment. breakfast was like in the old-fashioned days of France, the French do not feast on a good breakfast
Pros: Excellent helpful staff.
Cons: Odd smell in the room and no air conditioning made for 2 uncomfortable nights in the heat.
