Red Deer College
amazing value, bed great, staff wonderful, coffee wonderful in the morning, quiet cant think of a thing
Of course, you get what you pay for! If you're looking for some cheap beds definetley recommend this hotel. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and on the modern side, not grungy at all which is what I expected for the price. Breakfast is just some juice boxes, coffee, granola bars and muffins but it's there and ready to eat in the morning. There was a blonde lady on in the evening and she was so helpful and delightful. The other staff seemed nice too. Overall a really good experience, and I work at the top hotel in my town so I had some expectations :)
- The staff was very friendly and helpful. - The room we rented was quite large - Hasn't seen an update or repairs since the late 90s - BUGS! When we arrived, I found a couple dead beetles in the bathroom and there were flies and moths in the room - This room was equipped with 2 mini fridges, one of which was covered in mold on the inside
The rate was good for my wallet, the check in was good. Beds were comfortable and clean (at least they seemed clean). Rooms were fairly sound proof and we didn't hear neighbours at all. Good location and near shopping and Gasoline Alley. The fridge and microwave was very handy. If you had a family and needed to watch your budget, this hotel is sufficient.... not the RITZ but will do. Toilet leaked and housekeeping did not notify head desk. Room was not vacuumed when we first came into room. The 2 queen bed room was crowded and there is no real room for suitcases. Towels could be a lot larger. Hand towels are not great for bath use.
Front staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful. Good price to keep work cost down The smells. Its non smoking but the hallways stunk like smoke and room was ok but still had smoke smell. Its all Labour workers there and thats fine i worked on rigs before. But the smoking in the hotel was TERRIBLE. Sneezing all night and woke up with head aches. Not fun for any non smoker
I liked the convenience of the hotel I was traveling with my 2 girls(5 and 8) and my husband. We asked for a room with 2 beds, got a room with 1 bed and a pull out couch (not bad) HOWEVER there was no pillows, sheets or blankets in the room. I went to the front desk and asked for some, she gave me 1 sheet and 1 pillow for 2 girls. Disappointed I used things out of our luggage for pillows, and pulled the top blanket off for the girls.
