10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very modern; very clean and quiet; comfortable bed and pillow; large room; very friendly staff; delicious breakfast; the terrace was a pleasant addition!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location outside of Marburg at half the price. Clean room and very quiet. Ample parking and large pulic area to enjoy outside in the summer. Only suggestion is to put up room darkening curtains as there is no way to keep out the late summer light with the sheer curtain. (I was there June 21st). Dining was excellent as was the breakfast. Owners were very welcoming. Highly recommended.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room hat outside blinds. That was a great help on a very hot day.
Cons: Something went a bit wrong with the booking. They thought only one person was coming. After contacting them via Booking.com things were OK.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: I booked last minute so the price in the centre of Marburg was insanely high. The price here was 50 Euro and the room worthed every single cent. It’s super quiet and clean and the staff was very helpful. And It looked better in real life than in the pictures.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent and very tasty. The staff were very polite and helpful. We enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy the relaxed morning.
Cons: The elevator was out upon arrival, but that was due to the heat and we understand that. We did hear the traffic outside (street side room) despite the double-pane windows, but we were not disturbed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful Sunday breakfast!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great and staff where very friendly and breakfast also was excellent.
Cons: The photos on your site only seem to show the newer parts of the hotel. The family rooms where very dated and not that clean.
4.5 Okay
Pros: ....
Cons: Parking space was narrow and very very difficult to park the car. We were hesitate to take out our car from the parking place since it was very stressful to park again. You should be the exellent driver. The room toilet was very dirty, specially in hidden space. But it was handled properly after i complainted at the reception. Anyway it was the most disgusting scene i have ever seen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was helpful, breakfast was fantastic, room was clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very comfortable room in the back facing away from the street and it was super-quiet. Desk staff very helpful, even got us appointments for haircuts at a nearby style salon. Having our tandem bicycle in a locked bike garage was a big plus.
5.5 Okay
Pros: In an excellent central location. Breakfast was surprisingly good. It was clean Air conditioning
Cons: We were put into a twin room instead of our pre booked large double. The beds were tiny. The bathroom was so small it was impossible to get out of the shower without bumping into the toilet. A bit disappointed really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room , helpful friendly staff , great breakfast , 10 minute walk to the station .
Cons: Everything was perfect

Cons: Very tired . The carpets were very grubby and the bathroom needed upgrading.

Pros: the heavy duty Air Conditioning was a godsend during Germany's hottest days..
Cons: Nice comfortable hotel, a little dated but that is only superficial. Breakfast was pretty average.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good breakfast and everything you need.
Cons: The layout of the rooms within the hotel was a little strange - it took two lifts to get to the third floor. The bathroom fine but a little small.

6.8 Good
Pros: Morning breakfast staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean, if a bit small. Parking got a bit tight if you came in late at night.
Cons: Difficulty finding location, could use better signage. Not in an area where you can walk to restaurants and shops. Reception on third floor. Reception staff efficient but not friendly at all. Safe in our room was locked so we could not use it. Wondered if someone left items behind. Reported this twice, but it was not resolved during our stay.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very clean, good breakfast.
Cons: Location
5.5 Okay
Pros: Room was modern and spacious and clean
Cons: No eating facilities at night which is problematic given its location. It’s location is poor and 2km from the centre of town, based as it is in an industrial park of Marburg. Despite being a “Bett+Bike” hotel the only provision for storing bikes was a bike rack outside in the car park.
6.8 Good
Pros: breakfast was good location too far from center when you dont have a car. No where to eat... I liked very much the whole idea of the place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Renovated and nice hotel in an old historical building in the old city center.
Cons: Breakfast was OK but not worth 13€
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful being able to stay in a historic house in such a glorious old town, and it was close enough to just walk outside and enjoy the old town. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was more than enough.
Cons: My only complaint is that it is situated on quite a busy street, so I ended up keeping the windows closed to limit the noise factor.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a good position for the old town centre. The lady who served our breakfast was obliging, smiley and efficient.
Cons: It is not really a hotel, it is a B&B. No one is there to give you a town map. It is very impersonal. Our bedroom and bathroom were perfectly comfortable but there had been no critical eye judging the decor. Nothing went with or matched anything else. It was a hodgepodge of different styles, colours and patterns.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely decorated with antique furniture. Great location.
Cons: The front door is locked, nobody answered the phone number, and nobody answered the door bell. I took three tries before somebody else got through by phone. The staff was generally very nice but ill informed. I think it may help to be very clear with your arrival time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Welcomed by the owner who waited for us after the reception had closed. We were stuck in traffic. Big comfortable room. Solid WIFI . Ample simple breakfast in .the morning and very pleasant lady serving it. Well located a short ,if hilly, walk to the Altstadt. Lovely town.
Cons: The bathroom was quite small, if I was a really large person(which I am not) I might struggle.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is good. Parking slot is near the hotel. It takes only 1 minute. The staff who I have met only 1 staff is very kind and freindly.
Cons: It doesn’t have a elevator.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the style of the old building and my single room was small but comfortable. I was warmly greeted by a lady who works there and quickly received my key and all the information. The wifi was very good and breakfast was excellent and plenty.
Cons: There was a knock at my door at 10:55 as I was putting my coat on ready to leave and was told it was check out at 11, which I did know. I had an important call at 10:30 so was a bit rushed getting my things together, but considering the hotel was not at all busy and everyone else had checked out, I didn't expect to be rushed out of my room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, decent breakfast
Cons: A little far away from the centre - expect to walk for 20 minutes or so to get to the (uphill) town. Was a bit confused on arrival - no signs, and the reception was on the first floor. Was hot (not their fault), so windows open (no A/C), but there was quite a lot of street noise both late at night and early morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful historic house. Love the antique furniture. Super friendly owner and staff. Fantastic breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the furnishings of the house. So much to enjoy. The young woman who was our hostess did everything she could to make us comfortable and was lovely about it. The breakfast was terrific - even gave us foil to pack a lunch with leftovers.
Cons: It was 50 steps from street to our room. It was very hot so we had to keep the windows open and the road noise was pretty bad late at night and early morning.

Overview Reviews

7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Bathroom across the hall from bedroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly staff. Apart from the dislikes mentioned above, the room was comfortable. Quiet area.
Cons: Bath towels extremely old and thin. We had to use the hand towels when showering. Pillows on the bed were, just like the bath towels, unsuitable and useless. The "double bed" was two single beds pushed together, so there were two separate, single mattresses. Therefore NOT a double bed as we had requested! Not enough electric power points.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice
Cons: The towels were so old...
7.0 Good
Pros: WiFi was great, everything was clean. There were no problems in arranging check-in at time out of the reception working hours.
Cons: The premises are rather tiny.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Don’t expect a typical hotel- think guest house. Comfortable but basic rooms that are very clean, friendly owner-operated, delicious restaurant food (we ate there numerous times) and an all around excellent value for the budget-minded traveler. Located in a residential neighborhood near a bus stop, we opted to walk each day- plan on 15-20 minutes to the Marburg train station. Wish it was more centrally locates but the walking actually did us good. I highly recommend Hotel and Restaurant Cala Luna!

Pros: I cannot think of one thing I liked in or about this hotel...
Cons: Everything! The location: it´s just at a very busy street. The entrance: there´s a doorbell and a speaker but you cannot hear anything. We waited for 10 mins to get in. The hotel / building: not renovated, old, just yuuuk. The room: I really didnt want to sleep there... old interior, bed with one set of lining, very old ones, pillow was probably older than me.... hair dryer didnt work and they didnt have a spare one at the reception. Wifi: didn´t work at all... Breakfast: it was OK, but not great. Oh!!! And I had an old couch in my room which was just too creepy....

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and really nice location
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean inside. Great location for those who travel with a train. Sufficient breakfast.
Cons: It was too loud. My room was on the 4th floor, bed was located exactly at communicating wall with elevator, that was horrible.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast had reasonable variety of choices. Location was very good for arrival and departure at station and within a 15-20 walk for activities in town and old town.
Cons: Room could have done with air conditioning and fridge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to parking options, friendly staff and the rooms were spacious (just what you need when travelling with a family). Rooms were interconnecting as well which was fantastic for our large party.
Cons: Lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms (available at the reception). Shower was a bit small if you have to wash children. It's a very busy area with lots of traffic and not inside the old town center (although it's a short walk there).

Pros: Clean, probably reasonably priced.
Cons: Bedroom 19 is in the eaves of the house and headroom is unacceptable.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The owners were friendly, and breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs cooked fresh for my husband. Good variety. Comfortable bed. Large shower room. Seems to specialise as an hotel for cyclists. Is more like a B&B than an hotel.
Cons: Advertised restaurant closed in the evening, so we had to travel/buy picnic for evening meal. The room was a little bizarre - it had extremely sloping ceilings so you had to take care when getting out of bed, for instance. Stairs to first floor. Worst thing (for us) was that the wifi didn't work
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tha attention from the staff was very good, they where very understanding
Cons: The were no elevetors. The stairs were a bit narrow

Pros: There was nothing we liked about this hotel. Staff very unfriendly and arrogant. The room had a lot of problems, none of which they were able to solve.
Cons: -There was NO INTERNET. They had some excuses about it, but it didn't help us. -There was NO HEAT in the bathroom, and because it was so cold, we couldn't take a shower. -Once we came back to the room just to find our PERSONAL STUFF NEXT to the TOILET BRUSH and to the recycle bin. The door of our room was left wide open, even though we locked it up. It felt like some type of chicane. -There was a very loud ventilator in the bathroom. In order to not wake up my wife, I had to go with the lantern to the toilet. Every time we asked the staff to help us with our complaints, about the problems their rooms had, they just arrogantly answered: "if it's not ok for you, JUST LEAVE". We would have left, if we have had the time for it, but it was not like we visited Marburg to be looking at hotels. And all this problems, the staff guaranteed would not exist, were there, even though we booked one month in advance.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location was nice, if one does not want to stay in the centre, next to the river and the bed was comfortable. Check-in was friendly.
Cons: Restaurant kitchen and water damage (bathroom) smells in the whole apartment. The kitchen was freezing cold and run-down. The fridge was dirty, so were some of the pots and drawers. The sponge provided was used and there were some leftovers from the previous guest in the sink. The bedroom could have been quite nice, if it hadn't been for some dead flies in the lights. Internet broke down on the second day and satellite TV was mostly functioning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Accomodation was very comfortable and clean. Parking for free.
Cons: It was expensive, without breakfast.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: No concierge , no one available at reception , No one at hotel check in or check out. Had to wait and call per phone ahead to meet anyone. Packages sent by DHL were all rejected as no one is available and door closed and this was not mentioned by the booking . It was only mentioned one day before arrival. Heater of room was not working and had to make bathroom heater at its extent and door open to be able to heat the room.
