Good room, excellent service, WiFi Buffet cooked breakfast with lukewarm bacon and overcooked eggs, which had to be collected from a separate room.
convenient location and good food; open fire in lounge area was an enjoyed bonus. poor shower
Lovely staff made us very welcome. Room was comfortable and quiet. Buffet breakfast very nice. The meal at night was very nice however I was told it was French onion soup, which I was really looking forward to. It was very nice but for French onion soup to have meat carrots and potatoes in, is somewhat strange.
Friendliness of staff none
The location and the friendly staff and other guests. The pub was a very welcoming place where the guest mixed with locals.
The location of the hotel is good, being elevated with a lovely view. The guests lounge and bar are gloomy and unwelcoming. The breakfast is variable, depending on how long it has been keeping warm under the lights.
Beautiful Location, Excellent Breakfast, Good View Poor Shower. No evening meal
The warm friendly Highland welcome, good breakfasts and comfy rooms. No
Good location, plesant room. The stroll for the eveing meal in the rain.
Large rooms with firm but good beds, good shower, nice breakfast and a sister-hotel (The Old Inn) nearby where meals/drinks are served. Free WiFi and a laptop available at the "Honisty bar". interior is outdated
the price it was very loud, antisocial behaviour, fights on the streets, couldnt sleep at all. breakfast very poor
Friendly staff, roaring fire in hall and good bar facilities. Good views. Good enough bistro. Had to change rooms as there was no hot water to the shower. Apparently this is an ongoing problem and we were told to run the tap in the sink at the same time but it, not surprisingly, made no difference! Bathrooms archaic to say the least, but clean.
When we asked for a room with a nice view, we get the room at the corner. Great view across the harbour and mountains. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice. The floor in the room was not straight (old building), not a big problem, but confusing when you walk in the middle of the night to the toilet. A little rust in the wather, what made it look brown at first, probably the room wasn't used a longer time.
The bath wasn't clean.
Checking out Advised rooms were not available on arrival in spite of having a confirmed booking Asked if some of my party could relocate to another hotel Damp old fashioned rooms One room had broken glass window which was being held together by tape !!!!! Staff appeared under undue stress and were harrassed I could go on and on .........
relaxed atmosphere the breakfast was disappointing
Meals were good, staff helpful when you could find them as they were always very busy We did complain about the disgusting language tolerated in the bar. We wanted to sit and relax, but it was so bad we left and went out.
Convenient & cheap No real ale in bar.
The comfortable bed and the warmth of the room. nice and cosy. my room was to the back so was very quiet.
very friendly, helpful staff, decent room it was a windy night and there was a rattling noise coming from outside - maybe a cable or a loose pipe... apart from that a pleasant stay
Generally good service
The room was tiny but clean. Internet service was available through fast wifi in the lobby. The food was great. I especially liked the breakfast in the ' tintin' room with a nice few over the water.
Just stayed overnight from further north on way to Inverness for train south good breakfast evening meal ok (good chips!), mediocre salad staff lovely
Lovely location, enjoyed the food and service. Hotel staff were warm and helpful. Food was also adequate and well presented.
good breakfast and dinner
The view from the bedroom window over Loch Ewe.
Fabulous location. For Double room B&B rated as 2/3 * perhaps a little pricey.
Friendly staff, good food Our room was fairly small, but comfortable and well-equipped
Location. Expensive dinners.
very comfortable and large room with a fantastic view on the sea. nothing
