the owners don't speak any english and there's no parking for hotel people. The ownere was eager to get rid of us for cleaning the room and called to before the check 20 min bef check out !
My wife was unwell one morning during our stay and the staff were most concerned and helpful
Interesting building in a good position for exploring the historic old town. Nicely refurbished. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
It was in an historic building in the very centre of town. The bathroom was brand new and contained requisites above the 2 * category. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful although it helped that I speak fluent French It was closed when we arrived at 2.15 in the afternoon and we had to phone the manager and wait 15 minutes in the street until he arrived. The coconut matting in the room was so uncomfortable that it was impossible to walk barefoot. Being an old building the windows were very small and the buildings opposite were very close as it was a narrow alleyway so if you want some daylight make sure you stay on the top (3rd) floor. Some kind of refrigeration is required on the breakfast buffet as the cheese and salami were perspiring profusely
Lovely old building , nicely refurbished. The patron is freindly and welcoming. Good breakfas. small bar available for a drink before you go out or on return.
Location of this hotel is excellent. The Cathedral of the city is only one block away. Entrance of the hotel is on a narrow old lane and also most of rooms have windows to this small street. Interior of the hotel is very charming with old wooden staircase. Rooms are decorated with contemporary style. Especially rough woven wall-to-wall carpeting, brown painted walls and wash basin on the wooden table in toilet was very special points in room interior. Room was quiet with window to walking lane and it has old style wooden shutters on outside of window. Hotel reception person was very friendly but did not speak so much english. Overall I liked the atmosphere of this hotel. Hotel entrance is difficult to find because it is located on lane.
The hotel is very well situated with easy access to market, cathedral, restaurants and shops. Its owner is very pleasant and supportive. Parking is nearby so access is easy.
The hotel could not be more convenient to all facilities, It is right next to the cathedral, lvely restraunts such as la Taverne the market is a 5 minute walk and this gem of a city is very unspoilt non touristic and beautiful. Our room had a jute carpet and I would have preferred bare floor boards as I suffer from alergies.
Located at the city centre : close to the cathedral that's a must see. Also weekly market on saturdays. The single room was small but ok since I was really single. The hotel's interior decoration is nice considering it's a 2 stars. My room was on the top (3rd floor). There wasn't enough pression so getting hot water running took too long. And the waterflow through the shower's head was anemic. Also the elevator broke down and couldn't be fixed in emergency so we had to get buy until the next day. The nearest parking lot is utilised on saturdays for the weekly market. Cars get taken away by the police if not removed on time -it cost 140? + lots of hassle to get mine back. The hotel manager claim he had put out a warning sign, but I didn't see it. They've got to work a little harder in preventing guests' cars being hauled away.
The hotel is located in the centre of Rodez, adjacent to the Cathedral and the shopping area. The breakfast was more varied than the usual French selection of bread, jam and coffee, and included cereals, meat, fruit etc. I wasn't troubled by any street noise. The cathedral bells didn't trouble me at night, but were very atmospheric in the morning. There was no obvious hotel parking. Because I was back packing this wasn't an issue to me; there were car parks reasonably nearby, but they would entail something of a walk. The view from my room was awful, consisting of a rusty drain pipe and some fans. There was a most unpleasant sewage smell in the bathroom in the morning. The proprietor spoke no English, but then again, why should he? We got by with my limited French. Probably in view of its central location this hotel has some merit, but doesn't really have much else going for it. I would not return out of choice.
It was almost too stark and bare.
Upgraded to top range room - Superb. Also a superb breakfast!
small hotel, very friendly staff, beautifull modern and big room, luxurious bathroom. And then the breakfast: never had better! Best value for money this hotel was (we did a trip around several countries, in 11 different hotels).
Great hotel, and excellent service at check in... will definately book this hotel again later in the year, keep up the good work. Just be aware of the check in times and reception opening hours.
Well appointed and very pleasant room with sitting area and large bathroom, robes, slippers etc. provided. Vincent is a huge asset, very welcoming and knowledgable - every hotel should have someone like him! The air conditioning unit could be sited in a more strategic place so the actual room is cooled. As it is, it is set into a window cill so of no use if the curtains are drawn.
It was quiet, well run, very friendly and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. No.
Charming, attentive host, huge room and lovely breakfast
good service; i had to contact the hotel prior to staying, they responded quickly and helpfully. the rooms were comfortable with great facilities.
The decor of the bedroom and the public rooms of the hotel is immaculate. My room was comfortable with great air conditioning! Overall it was a terrific stay and the staff very friendly and helpful Guests should be aware that the hotel is very small and is unattended by staff at night.
Vincent was a gret amasador for the hotel. we will stay again and recomend to our friends
We had an angled view of the beautiful cathedral and were very close to it. The hotel is ideally situated for visiting the cathedral and the centre of the historic district. The hotel advertises free parking but it transpired that they seem to share parking with an office, so if you use the parking you have to get up early to move your car, not what we expected. So we left our car on the street where it came to no harm but it was difficult to find the street parking as the area is very busy. The "very busy" also means (of course) that the street was very noisy, it seemed all night, and our sleep was disturbed.
This hotel is a little gem. We have stayed in the best and some of the worse hotels around the world, but value for money this hotel would have to be one of the best. The rooms are adequate and the food excellent. Dinner 19.80 euro for three courses. Free parking at hotel. Be sure to check that no one has parked in front of you before you go to bed if you want to leave early in the morning, as happened to us !!!!
Nice hotel well located right in the center of town with free parking.
The hotel room was clean and comfortable allbeit pretty basic. Able to park in designated parking. Not much English spoken. No air-con so very warm.
the location was excellent. the restaurant food and breakfast both very good Big problem was lack of communication. Reception staff had no english which made life difficult.
Very central for the city and shopping. Easy to find and good facilities. Hotel car park was useful. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would go back. I would have liked some tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere
This hotel was very comfortable, clean, and convenient to locations of interest to us. we would stay here again. Our room was located on floor 2, and noise from the courtyard disturbed us early in the mornings.
Manager was very friendly and helpful.
Very central but quiet. Excellent breakfasts Rather small rooms
Quiet and central - ideal modest base for Rodez and the Aveyron - modern bathroom and comfortable bed
just convenient for visiting clients..have stayed here before and owners are very welcoming I need my morning tea! no hospitality trays in the room...rooms clean but on the small side, beds are not the most comfortable.
location, friendly staff, cleaniliness, very comfortable, white fluffy towels, Nothing
Clean fresh room The bathroom was very small. No bath. Shower squeezed into a corned right beside the sink and it was awkward to get in and out of the shower because of the space restriction.
Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff. All requests and suggestions were handled with decorum and where appropriate, actioned immediately. The desire of the owners to please the customers is to be congratulated. Leaflets/brochures/wall map giving information about the surrounding area/facilities would have been a welcome addition to the excellent services aleady provided.
Our charming hosts were very kind and informative with a love of the local area. The location of the hotel is beautiful and is a perfect base for exploring Aveyron.
You must eat at the restaurant. The food is amazing. Hotel is excellent and in a lovely setting. Staff are extremely helpful and speak English.
The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful, the food was great. The interior is very pretty manoir style, beautifully renovated. no swimming pool.
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating; the setting was lovely; the service was excellent. We will return.
In a lovely village. Hotel peaceful. Very good food and staff very friendly Dining areas could do with less lighting - affects the general atmosphere of the place
What a pleasure to stay at this hotel the high light of our trip the food was first class. Rooms as new.views stunning. None
This hotel deserves to get the highest compliments as clean , tastefully furnished , excellent and friendly management , good food.Owners spoke excellent English and had in depth knowledge of the local area and were very helpful. We really relished our stay at this hotel - it should have 4 star rating ! Perhaps could have had one or two more English channels on the TV !!
The excellent hospitality & beautiful setting. The bathroom was the best I have encountered . Perhaps a bit more variation on the menue
Staying at "Le Manoir" was the highlight of our trip. The extra 20 euros for the junior suite was the best money I ever spent. The design of the manoir was stunning, the staff were extremely friendly and the food/dinner was out of this world! Our only disappointment was that we could not stay any longer!! We will definitely visit the region in future travels. Nothing - it was perfection.
Manager very helpful to sort out vehicle collision in car park.
We had twin beds and these were superbly comfortable
Easy to find, comfortable and convenient, with friendly and responsive staff, all at a reasonable price. Upstairs rooms are reached by external staircase only, so not ideal for anyone with walking difficulties.
Although is in the city (Or I should say park of Activity) I was luky because my room was facing "nature". The staff was very friendly and ready to help. The first impression was positive. Car park OK. Quiet location, very much appreciated. There was some dust in the room (Corner, maybe difficult to remove or access) and some "hair" in the sheets of the bed ! making not exactly a very good second impression. In the morning I was a bit disappointed with the quality of breakfast. Overall impression was still OK. I was just staying one night.
Very clean, comfortable,
Good value for money, within walking distance of the train station and a nice 20 min. walk to the town centre. We stayed in one of the rooms to the front of the building and it was a bit noisy early in the mornings apart from that everything was fine
Easy access to the airport. Too noisy in the morning.
Deltour Hotel Rodez was conveniently locationed only a few kilometers out of town. The receptionists were very nice, as well as helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any college student that is on a budget and who does not mind sacrificing a little luxury.
An excellent "stopover" hotel. Very good value
Very accesssible to the airport and easy to find
The hotel was very clean and excellent value for money
ease of access from main road into Rodez
The room was extremely spacious and clean. The staff were lovely and helpful. No it was good value for money. Maybe breakfast could be included.
Location for airport was excellent. Staff were very friendly and accomodating . Car park was an additional asset. Breakfast was also very good.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. There was no airconditioning in the room.
Minimal English spoken. Staff didn't know how to send a fax
it was good as overnight stay as it was convienient to rodez airport,we stayed in sete area and it suited us as we had an early flight. very basic with no bar facilities.
A cashier couldn't speak English.
We found the hotel clean and well positioned for shops, though the old town of Rodez was a little far away. Staff very good, recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner.
Secure locked indoor parking. Extremely close and very accessible to the airport. Adequate cheap restuarants within walking distance.
Friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable and clean room.
`The hotel is very central, in a lovely quiet little street and it is comfortable, very clean ; provides a very good choice of breakfast. It is excellent value for money. no
Very nice accommodation everything you need is in the room helpful staff
Place of the hotel isexcellent as well as politeness of the personell, breakfast room 5inl. daily newspapersà, service at genera. A very small /litle parking/garage
Central, clean and good value for money. The air conditioning was not working and my room was very warm and no way to cool it down.
Central location, good room and courtesy of staff. As an "Over 55" we appreciated the special deal for the breakfast
Overall the staff were lovely, however they could not give us information on what to do! they were not aware of anything to do that would suit a young family!!!
Well renovated hotel that offering quite at the center of the town.
Excellent Central location. room had beautiful view of Cathedral and very accessible to all areas of interest. Night porter was very helpful.
staff are friendly and helpful.Rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good however é12 per person is expensive for basically a cold buffet (except for possibility of boiled egg)
brief overnight stay with early start - friendly reception, good explanation of how to depart pre-breakfast next morning.
I would not recommend this hotel, the staff were unpleasant, there were no facilities, the restaurant was not open. The rooms were tiny and exceptionally hot and even though an air conditioning system was present, they said would not be turned on when we asked, therefore we were forced to stay in a stuffy room for 5 nights, too warm and could not sleep.
niice peaceful location, a little susceptible to rain / cloud as located in the hills but not a problem as the swimming pool, gym etc can entertain.
C;lean adequate well presented
The provision of a kettle and tea/coffee is most welcome after a long drive. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It was not close to the city centre but that wasn't why we chose it.
Location - Proximity to Railway Station
Helpful friendly staff, good central location, easy to find.
Nice hotel. A bit tricky to find. Friendly staff. Free parking. Would stay there again.
A friendly and pleasant hotel. Staff are very helpful and it is a good place to stay. None
The hotel was well situated, very clean, quiet and good value for money.Recommended Breakfast was poor in quality.
It was great for access to Rodez airport and near the restaurants for a well priced meal There was very little infomation available i.e when I asked where was the nearest petrol station could not answer when i asked was there a Chinese restaurant in town, could not tell me.
Very friendly and excellent poeple loking after us. Nice bright room. Fantastic for coming to collect us at the airport. Brilliant central location. Easy access to all amenities, facing Cathedral. Great food. None
We used this hotel as we were flying out of Rodez airport and the review said it was close to the airport. The hotel was difficult to find and was not close to the airport at all. We would have been better off staying in Rodez itself. The bathroom was tiny and even though it said it had a shower it was a handheld shower hose attached to the bath. The bed was also very small double. Otherwise the room was comfortable enough.
Excellent service very knowlwedgable maitre d Temperature of the room, no air conditionned for a 3 stars
bathroom was good restaurant was closed, pictures looked much nicer than reality. disappointing. noisy rooms. breakfast no value for money
I found the asst manager , a very helpfull, and honest person and as i had no french he did more than his best to make our stay a happy one, i thank him again no
Functional, clean. Meals were excellent. Compliments to the chef. A bit too far from main town, ROdez (3.5kms) for us - we needed to drive). No air conditioning. Breakfast was very expensive and we did not require the full spread, which was substantial - should have been able to just have cereal or coffee.
The buildingsite outside the window!!
The staff were helpful and especially the owner who I would like to thank for the lift into rodez on our last day as we did not have a car and had hours to wait for our flight.you do realy need a car to stay here. Do not stay in room no2 it is in the front of the hotel and above the bar, there was a party on the first night we were there and we did not get any sleep until they had finished, we had a 4yr old with us! She thought it was great.the pool is also very cold and needs to be heated.
Too far out of the town. Expensive for the area The decor
Warm welcome. Excellent food. Peaceful and relaxing.
The restaurant provided an outstandingly, excellent evening meal! The car park was large and convenient. The environment was calm and quiet. The room was small and basic. Comfort was minimal
cheap room small,top bunk claustrophobic
Good Location for Rodez Airport. Ample Parking Room very basic and small.
Proximity to airport, necessary as our flight arrived too late for us to travel onwards to our final holiday destination. We arrived at the hotel and the electronic check in would not accept our booking registration number or our Halifax Credit Card. Another family had the same problems as us. We finally made telephone contact with someone who had to give us a new booking registration number. A lengthy procedure then had to be undertaken to get an entry card for each room. The webside does not mention this issue.
Not alot........ Noisy ....
Price was good, breakfact adequate, parking and location excellent, however ability to find hotel on GPS was poor No english language programmes on TV
Good value and near to Rodez airport (although still a €25 taxi fare away !!) Free Wifi worked well. There is a Macdonalds and "Courte Paille" restaurant within 200 yards of the hotel to make up for the lack of facilities on site. Although we had specifically booked a triple bedded room and arrived within the time specified - there were no rooms of this type available so we had to put up with a double bed / bunk bed room.
Easily accessible from the airport. Price reflects standard. Found check in without staff efficient. Someone left a message on mobile with reservation No; which we keyed into machine and it provided our keycard. Across the road from McDonalds. Very Very small basic room really is just somewhere to lay your head for the night. Bathroom facilities just about useable (Small, Caravan like)
Hotel clean, comfortable, cheap!! 15 minute walk up a very steep hill to town!
a nice nightrest and a shower after a long day driving, most of the time very quait
Convenient location. Clean room, if a little spartan. Good breakfast. Helpful staff
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food in the restaurant, although not cheap is superb. Restauraunt was chilly... (Although that could just be due to the early season and freak weather conditions)
Position relative to the Tarn Gorges Restaurant (and Hotel) closed on Wednesday.Very lonely in evening as only guests in the whole hotel. (when booking on-line were told "only three rooms left" ) The hotel is NOT in St Leons village! Directions not clear coming from Vizins.
Off the beaten track and a real find. Superb countryside. a traditioanlal old coaching inn. Room was a good size and clean though rather spartan. En-suite facilities were good and spotless too. The restaurant was excellent. Food quality and portions were great and the house red was superb, much better than a bottle we had paid 4 times the price for the previous night. Certainly, the whole experience was up to the 2* rating and probably better!!!! Woulkd stay again if passing through. Should you want to visit or cross the killeau viaduct this is a perfect location. None of note.
Clean and friendly Had expected to be in a village and wasn't so nowhere to go in the evening.
Ease of booking, friendly staff who allways remember us even though stay is only overnight twice a year. None that come to mind
The family room for four was very spacious with a separate bathroom and toilet. Much bigger than other family rooms at other hotels. No lift - we were on top floor, although hotel is fairly old.
Location and welcome was excellent.Great value for money.
A truly "French" hotel. Simple yet clean room and bathroom. Very quiet, yet close to the touristy Millau bridge. Very nice staff and the restaurant menu was a real bargain and very good. We felt we were experiencing life with the French, not the foreigners! Lacked an elevator but not a great problem as only 3 floors.
Location comfort friendly of staff
Beautiful old building in a peaceful country setting, high ceilings and wide staircase. We had a large, quiet room with very modern bathroom. The highlight of our stay was the beautifully cooked, reasonably priced meals in a wonderfully restored restaurant. We would go out of our way to stay there again. Nothing
The room was of a good size with air conditioning. The shower was over the bath and not very practicable. When I came to pay the bill I was charged for an evening meal that we did not have, however the amount was deducted after a brief conversation.
Rooms were always clean, Attached restaurant was good though a little expensive, Pool tables Bowling and video arcade were of a good standard, and a little too handy when you have kids........:) They could provide english translation for basic needs - like how to gain entry when the reception is closed..... there is a keypad that you wave your keys at that unlocks the door - but if you dont know?........
Lovely, helpful staff. Clean, well maintained rooms. Getting out by 10am was a little rushed, and like many hotels in France, they are very skimpy with cups, tea, coffee, milk etc.
The hotel was easy to find. One could relax in the garden next to a river. The staff were extremely helpful and were abel to overcome the ongoing restoration.
owners helpful and very friendly. english spoken. excellent wide choice of menu cooked to perfection and very well presented. Superior rooms are newly decorated and very well appointed. They stock gin but not tonic! this hotel is no good for disabled people. The spiral stone stairs whilst wide are steep and go up two floors.
very clean and very well located for access to Rodez Airport and wider region.
Location was good base for traveling around the region by car. There was a spacious carpark. The bedroom was small but comfortable with nice view of garden and river. Despite being located on a busy road the bedroom was very quiet. There was no bar or restaurant facillities at the hotel or in the village. There was coffee supplied in room on first night but was not replenished on other nights and given the lack of restaurant facillities I felt this was poor service. Without your own transport do not stay at this hotel.
they had no record of our reservation and had no large rooms left for us. we had to stay over 2 rooms and with 3 children under 6 and one of which has severe learning problems this was not ideal. On leaving the hotel there was nobody to check us out so we had to leave cash for our stay which is not what we had planned and not ideal. not a very pleasant stay and we will not be going back!!!!! as above
Friendliness of staff, closeness to village. Superb location.
Both the bar and the restaurant were closed on the Saturday night we stayed there. The receptionist was less than helpful and we ended up with a one and a half kilometere walk to find a pizzeria as all the other hotels in town weren't serving food either - the very least the recptioinist could have told us was that when she said the centre of town wasn't far away she meant the old town.
Ease of access from the main road as we used it as an overnight stop
The food was expensive and not very good. I would not stay at this hotel again.
