Location of Great City Lake Charles, surroundings, and food choices Hotel had mold in the "shower", elevators service was extremely slow/rough, my Hotel card key failed twice, TV would not work properly although Hotel Clerk did assist with getting it to work. I would not recommend or consider this Hotel to anyone.
Very nice place. Great location! Friendly staff.
Updated, clean, convenient, nice staff, better than usual complimentary breakfast, safe clean area, security measures are tight. Overall I got much more than I expected.
The receptionist was smoking hot and very nice to my daughter the hotel allowed my family to sit in the lobby until I was able to return in the afternoon from work. The ac filter was so dirty the room stayed warm. I washed it out to try to cool the room. The pool lift chair did not work and no back up generator for when they lost power. tge hotel in under renovations at this time
I didnt like anything. I stayed in the executive suite..Construction was going on in some of the other rooms. When I entered the room, there were cob webs in the window, dead bugs throughout the room. In the fridge there were several boxes of frozen lunches that looked like they had been in there for years. The boxes were suppose to be red but were now pink. The bathroom light flickers for 4-5 times before it came on. The air only cools the room and not the sitting area.
Staff was as helpful as they could be based on the buildings poor condition. Good location, easy to get to and close to lake and park. I had booked a room with two queens. They gave us a room with one king and sleeper sofa. The sofa had an odor that was enough to make you sick. Clerk gave us another room that someone else was in. Third room was bigger than first but still only had on king bed and sofa sleeper. At least it didn’t have a bad odor, but it didn’t have any sheets. Called down to get them but the only staff person was checking in people and no one could bring it up so again had to go down the very slow elevator to get it. Staff was very sorry for issues and stated the hotel had been sold and was going to be remodeled and would be better the next time we stayed. Told him there wasn’t going to be a next time. Breakfast was good except for the sponge eggs. They looked like a yellow sponge. You know what they say, if it looks like a sponge, tastes like a sponge, and is full of water like a sponge then it’s a sponge. I think they could have used them to clean the metal in the elevator with and it would look good as new. Just some advice to new owners.
I like the location I didn't like the coffee pot full of mold, the green water that filled up the jacuzzi tub, the sink didn't work and I was charged $109 by booking through Kayak but the check in desk was telling people $89 over the phone. What I received I would have expected at a $50 a night motel.
Staff was very friendly! Should have been told at booking that they were remodeling
