Quiet, comfortable, great view, able to entertain friends in the bar easily in a casual environment. Carrying bags to upper levels using narrow depth steps!
Location of resort is fantastic. View from room and balcony excellent.
The 1970's interiors really reminded us of the hotel in the Shining - cool. Washing facilities well priced. Can be a bit noisy when drunk rowdies come home.
staff very friendly, views wonderful, place very nice, hotel could probably do with a make over, little bit dated. very enjoyable stay, friendly bar.
business trip - felt good value for dollar with a great location to surrounding facilities all good
Good location and great to be able to have access to kitchen facilities The room was dated
Great location, friendly helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, quiet, comfortable rooms
The hotel photos and description did not indicate that the room we were booking was more of a room in a hostel. The back building of the hotel has dorm like rooms and double rooms that were extremely small. The bathrooms were shared and not very clean. This was probably the scariest place I've ever stayed at.
Bike rental available for less than local bike rental companies. Tom was very helpful. Continental breakfast available upon request. Great location!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room spacious and well appointed. Wanaka is a pleasant place and Bella Vista is well located to enjoy it.
Clean, easy parking
The only good things I can say about this hotel was that it was technically a hotel and it was in the center of town. Being so close to town meant we could leave the room and have somewhere else to go. The room was so small that there was no room to place bags except for on the desk. The whole room smelled of black mold. The bathroom was far from clean. The room was right at a staircase with windows at the front only so there was no privacy with anything but blinds shut fully. It was so uncomfortable that we checked out early and got other accommodation. If you need only a bed, there's nothing else available, and you don't care about mold, maybe stay here. Otherwise look anywhere else.
the room was beautiful, and everything that you needed was only a stones throw away Our room wasn't serviced after the first night. So we had dirty chlorine smelling towels for the following morning.
The heated pools and spas were pretty awesome
It was great to have a get away weekend-it was real value for money and I felt like we had dhad a luxorious weekend-a great get away for busy people.
Although I requested a room with a view of the mountains we were not given one. When we asked to change, we were told there were no rooms available but they were happy to upgrade us to a room with a great view and self contained. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a wonderful view of the snowy mountains. The position of the hotel was a bit far away from the town centre. It rained that night and because of the arrangement of the rooms, the distance between the room and the hotel restaurant (uncovered) was too far to walk in the rain. We drove the car.
Easy to find, close to town but just outside so nice and quiet. Rooms were clean, lovely comfortable warm beds. All staff were very friendly and helpful.Lots to see in area, quiet area to have quiet holiday
When we booked room we thought there was a spa bath in our room, but there wasn't. When we asked about it, a reason was given and we were upgraded to another room. Very helpful staff. Would have been cool if there were tennis courts
Everything about this hotel was perfect. It was probably the best experience in New Zealand so far. Professional staff, amazing service, felt like a 5 star resort such as Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons on a smaller scale. Would highly recommend! Nothing at all.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Their gourmet slow roast lamb was excellent. Breakfast bacon was terrible as was the scrambled egg!!
Rate included a good buffet breakfast. Within the limits of the building, the staff were helpful. The room was very small, not in line with the grade and price. It rained - there is no covered way between the rooms and reception, or even between reception and the restaurant.
Beautiful room and hotel decor.
Very nice setting but difficult to find Hotel.Facilities are good The pool restaurant service was very slack. The number of staff exceeded the number of diners. When I was seated the waitress went to leave and I had to ask her for a drink. I was not asked if I wanted another and in fact had to ask the waitress. Can I suggest better service would be of benefit to your guest and the Hotel. The meal main course portion was the smallest I have ever encountered. It was however very tasty. No bottle opener in the room.
Proximity to town.
We enjoyed staying at the Alpine Motel. It is an older style motel and we found it adequate with no frills. The bed was very comfy and staff very friendly Bathroom was very small
It was a simple but comfortable spot. There must have been hundreds of these types of buildings in NZ. Painted breeze blokc! in due course a facilities upgrade would be good. No. It was perffectly adequate.
Convenient location to town amenities. Internet access was spotty due to a problem at the telecom company.
It was exactly what we wanted where we wanted it.
It was close to town, clean and tidy
Pleasant & handy location. Well maintained units serviced by helpful staff. Thought the unit furnishings were rather sparse & a bit dated relative to the price charged.
very cozy with full self-service facilities (new washer, dryer, jacuzzy bathtub), and new kitchen with good view of the city and small creek from the balcony. The unit with 2 floors in the room makes this motel one of our favorite motels during our 10 days trip in NZ (south island). Very good value for money. Highly recommend for anyone who visit Wanaka.. happy with everything..
Good quality and good value. Great location.
We arrived later than 8pm and that was no problem at all. I called about 820pm and the girl who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and eliminated any concern that I had about possibly losing the room. Some of my friends had some issues with bug bites given that we had to leave the windows open to make the loft bedroom a comfortable temperature. Also, it would have been helpful to us to have 2 keys as we found out later that evening that there was no way to leave the door unlocked. Perhaps if we had arrived on time, we could have asked for one!
Peaceful and great location No bathtub
The warm welcome we received, the homely touches like the brownies we could help ourselves to when we went for a cup of tea, the comfort of the lounges and the amazingly comfortable bed! Not a thing - I wish we could have stayed more than one night.
The nicest people i've ever met, bed and breakfast variety and the warmest service.
This inn is in a great location in Te Anau, gateway to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound. The new owners are making many updates and improvements to the facilities.
Comfortable beds No Sky TV
close to town, room was just right, bed great, breakfast terrific. couldn't do enough for you and this helped enjoy our stay. no
