Fairly clean rooms, staff was pleasant. The wifi is a little slow which is expected. The continental breakfast is mediocre. Really the only things worth it were the coffee and yogurts. Breakfast could be better.
Staff & location No
The staff was nice I had a very noisy heater
Decent free breakfast, good price and location for the holidays. nice size bathroom and room. Walls thin - could easily hear neighbor coughing, conversation, and watching TV. noisy refrigerator. No privacy curtains on window, only sheers.
The continental breakfast was excellent and the room was clean and nice sized. I would stay here again. The hotel is setback from the road and we drove right past it in the dark.

Respectful courtesy from staff. Wanted to extend yet couldn't due to over booked rooms.

It was close to a conference we were attending. Great park across the street. PLenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was pretty good.
My daughter was sick the morning we were to check out. I called the front desk and spoke to Steve explaining the situation. He was nice and we had no trouble getting a late check out. Gentleman who handled breakfast was very pleasant and helpful!! The person who checked us in was not friendly. She wasn't mean, but not a warm welcome. Pool was down and she didn't even mention it especially when we had two kids. Would think that would of been one of the first things she would of mentioned.
Booked a King bed room, but upon arrival was told it was unavailable.
We had family from four states stay here when we all came together for a surprise party weekend. We all loved the décor overall, enjoyed the Sunday brunch, and clean, comfortable rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the saltwater pool! Our ages ranged from four to seventy-five -- all gave thumbs-up! Sam & Harry's got points for a nice brunch and great service on Sunday morning - but not so much Saturday night when the hostess gave some (bad) attitude. Hopefully, just someone having a bad night. Overall -- great facility & staff! Wish the pool hours would be extended - maybe adults only later? (Hard to relax or do laps while someone else's unsupervised kids are throwing footballs all over the place!) Also - WIFI should be a given at a facility like this!
Staff was great and the bed was wonderful. Great value and was close to family.
The staff was friendly My room was not cleaned and I did not receive clean towels until 11pm that night!
great experience. good staff, clean rooms and hotel overall. Good reasonably priced in the restaurant. Stayed 4 days at a seminar on site. Would recommend to anyone visiting the north shore/suburbs.
Good hotel upscale and fun decor, steak place next door and Starbucks nearby The staff member who first checked us in tried to tell us that all King rooms were taken even though my reservation was for a King Deluxe room. He shrugged and said that wasn't his problem what a third party promised. We could have a standard Queen. I spent thirty minutes on hold with hotels.com with no resolution and then checked back when another front desk person arrived. He got us into a King room though not King deluxe. He gave us a drink coupon as well. While the second front desk person was great, the attitude of the first was so bad that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure I'll ever order a hotel through Kayak or it's unknowable network of third parties and fine print that the advertised room is not guaranteed.
The sheets were incredible, nuff said!
Room amenities. Fridge, charging station, room safe, breakfast buffet
Loved the room! Loved the warm colors, the bed was soft, the room was clean. Plenty of space in the room. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. Room service was great! The staff at the front desk wasn't very friendly or welcoming. There was a tall blonde man who was a bit odd. Wasn't rude but wasn't friendly or kind either. Hard to explain, just seemed like he was having a bad day and was forcing a smile. The only other complaint I had was the bathtub. Seemed a little old, and had a couple stains. Everything else was great!
Friendly staff and they were able to accommodate my early (8:30 am) check-in request. Breakfast wasn't open until 7:00 am. Pretty late opening for those who want to get breakfast and head out for an early morning meeting or appointment.
The hotel was very nice, bed was comfortable, room was clean, check in was easy. The fan on the heater in the room sounded like a vacuum cleaner. It is probably a minor fix.
Ease of getting in and out of the area. close to many restaurants and shopping The hotel was very hard to find due to the lack of signage on the outside
I enjoyed the entire stay! Amazing staff and the rooms were impeccable! Will definitely return! I had no complaints!
Very comfortable and nicely appointed. We came for business, but squeezed in a trip to the mall. We didn't use the shuttle, but appreciated there is one and it makes the immediate area very accessible. We'd return and recommend to others who need a place in Schaumburg to stay.
The rooms are clean and fairly large. All the necessities are included in the bathroom even toothpaste! The bathrooms are clean and the rooms are comfortable and fairly dark at night. The food at this hotel is the worst food I've ever experienced from any hotel. I've stayed here before, about a year and a half ago, and the food was horrible then and it's horrible now. Their yogurt parfaits tasted sour. The food in the restaurant is tasteless and overcooked. It's also pretty expensive for the quality.
It was clean and comfortable. Good value for the price No refrigerator in room
Hotel was very nice, great swimming pool and whirlpool.Rooms wer'e clean and service was friendly.
I am in Buffalo Grove area every 3 weeks on personal business. I will not stay at Westin again. WiFi is additional cost and not cheap. Business hotels offer WiFi free of charge or included in room rate. Charged me $7 service fee for a drink from room service. The drink cost around $10. Ridiculous! When I complained, receptionist was not very interested in making a compromise or even removing it from the bill. I will not be staying at Westin again. I certainly will not recommend it.
Nice room and helpful staff. In and out easily. Parking is incredibly bad, so far away.
Proximity to my mom`s home. Very courteous staff.
the hotel was very nice, and service was excellent. nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable. the hotel did not have a record of my reservation when I arrived and had to call booking.com to confirm the reservation. I do not know if that was the hotels fault of booking.coms but it was annoying
Quiet and cheap. Staff were very helpful-electricity went out in my room in the morning and they fixed it right away (3min)- must have blown a fuse.
Location of the motel being right next to O'Hare is nice. I needed a hotel last minute to cover a couple days in Chicago before heading down south towards St. Louis. I noticed on Kayak that this motel was a pretty good value overall for the location and need of the two nights. I booked the room, proceeded to call the motel and talk to the front desk. I advised them that my girlfriend would be flying in Thursday morning around 2 AM (I booked Wed - Friday morning specifically for that reason). I made sure with the front desk agent that this wouldn't be an issue because of the late check-in, they advised me it would not. I suggested maybe a note on my reservation to ensure it doesn't get removed. I then asked exactly how to get a shuttle from the airport to the motel. They advised me that after 11 PM they no longer do 30 minute interval shuttles, but they do the shuttle based on call from airport only. I detailed all that information to me girlfriend who proceeded to advise me that none of these things worked out properly. Upon arrival at the airport she immediately called the motel number I gave her for the shuttle. After multiple attempted phone calls with no answer, she gave up and grabbed an Uber to the motel. Upon arrival she waited for a front desk agent to help her, finally after about a 30 minute wait someone came out and assisted her. While being assisted she noticed that the front desk agent (a woman) refused to answer the phone to which my girlfriend made the comment "Do you guys answer the phone?" Upon her researching the reservation number I provided for my girlfriend, she advised her the reservation was cancelled due to her not showing up on time for the check-in. They were able to get her a room that worked because of availability, but this was a pain compared to the preparations I purposely made to avoid all this work for us coming in late to the motel.
There's an free airport transfers
it was nice clean room ...comfortable ..and i do believe that the breakfast was acceptable there aws no staff that can help you in carrying your lugagges ..and i was not so that about the transportation to the down town of chicago
I liked the fact that the hotel was very economical and close to where I needed to conduct business the next day. The hotel room could have been cleaner!
close to ohare I thought the bed was from the Flinstones. It was like a slab of concrete
I was in Chicago in transit and wanted an inexpensive place to stay at for the night that was close to the airport and had a free shuttle service. This is a very basic motel with towels, soap, clean beds and wifi. That's all I was looking for and it met my needs perfectly. Ask for a non-smoking room specifically because I think they also have smoking rooms (not sure). There is no microwave, or complimentary breakfast but they do have complimentary coffee. The walls are thin so I would hear people speaking in the adjoining room. Fortunately, they were not loud and didn't bother my sleep.
staff from front desk is very friendly. the shuttle had me waited for more than an hour at the airport.
It was clean and cheap, what it says oon the tin bit noisy
This is a great value for your money. They offer free 24 hour airport transfer and the rooms are clean. They have a nice television and comfortable beds. Overall it was as expected. Nothing to really change.
good price, staff next morning were excellent when we arrived there was no record of our booking and the staff member implied it was our fault. She was civil but not really welcoming. The first room they gave us stank of damp, but the replacement was fine.
Staff was polite and friendly. The cleanliness of the room and facility are excellent.
Proximity to family and I-294. We'd stay here again. Quiet place
Big room, good breakfast (room service), friendly staff Multiple hairs found in the sheets upon arrival. Refridgerator but no microwave........ Extremely small bathroom setup, the door, toilet, and tub are basically adjacent leaving no room to get in/out
Friendly staff and helpful with good recommendations-honest, accommodations pleasant and clean, good in room coffee.
Close to where I was spending Thanksgiving. Quiet considering its distance to O'Hare. The bed was so soft that I had to change rooms. The fake ivy in the room is only a dust colector-get them out especially for those of us who are allergic to dust.
Staff was very kind and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. It had the shower and the toilet, but not much place to move inside the bathroom.
Marriott is my hotel chain of choice. However, this was a VERY disappointing experience as hotel is only operating 60 of the 400 rooms in operation and it is virtually a ghost town without a full restaurant or concierge lounge. Unfortunately, non of this was listed on the website when I booked the reservation. At over $300 per night before tax, this was one of the worst Marriott experiences that I have ever experienced.
Clean, excellent customer services, elegant & nice bar No microwave or fridge in the unit.
Breakfast room ambiance. Room too small. Double beds inadequate. Rooms are super cluttered and small.
Clean and well decorated.
I absolutely loved everything about the hotel,it was clean, friendly, very nice and relaxing. n/a
The convenience of breakfast. The room didn't get clean, towels were left by the door. The facility was not clean either, the breakfast area had very sticky floors, the table were not very clean, I got syrup on my arm from sitting on a chair. Also it was crazy with noise from other guest, the kids were allow to be screaming on the hall ways in in the stairs I called four time just in one night and nothing was done and it went on to 1 am, waking my toddler twice that night. It was just such an unpleasant stay.
The breakfast was delicious and offered everything we could have wanted. Pleasant surprise!
Happy hour is nice breakfast toi What I didn't like I book online gave me a total then in the desk got a different price
Yuck nasty and nasty if there wasn't an event in the area then I wouldn't of stayed here Blood on pillow nasty
Yes, comfortable, clean and convenient to O'Hare Restuarant was below average
the location, the pool, the room
Hospitality was great, outstanding ! No, everything was perfect.
The hotel was fit for my stay,Well located ,comfortable, and the staff were efficient and friendly. One thing I did miss was complimentary transport to the airport.Otherwise a good experience and I would return again Kind Regards Garry Saul
The comfy bed Over charged my card and when confronted got ignort.
It is nice looking hotel. Room looks nice. When we got breakfast , the waitress was not there to pour the coffee and juice,we were almost done with breakfast when she showed up. Also what is worse I got 3 bites on my leg I am afraid that they have bed bugs there what does not make me happy I hope so I will not contaminate my house with them.
Helpful staff, checkout at 3pm as our plane departed later was no problem. The children loved the swimming pool. Good way to relax before sitting in an airplane for 10 hours :-) Double beds are exactly that: double. Queens would've been more comfortable sleeping 2.
it was a good and convenient hotel. everything was perfect. it is in the suburbs of chicago so anyone who is travelling with a car could choose the hotel as it is also close to the airport. driving to the downtown would take 30 minutes and may be a little more in the rush hours. the staff at the reception was not kind. not all of them but some of them were not polite and were not even able to talk politely . as being a customer, I had expected a much smiling face and a proper talking style.
we liked the good service. we had a problem with the a/c in our room and within minutes they had some one up there to fix it.
easy access to the expressways. bigger tub/shower
Location, service, cleanliness, WiFi Speed, Breakfast and evening snack options Very uncomfortable beds, bad placement of beds with respect to the ACs
Great place big rooms frigde stove sofa very nice. Bed bit uncomfrtible but very clean.
The bed was really comfortable and the thermostat had a large range for comfort. It was nice that the tv swiveled. The shower curtain had dark dirt spots in a few places. One of the towels also had what looked to be makeup spots all over. Get to my room was always challenge because there would be 4 to 5 house cleaning carts in the hall. The stairways were dingy and disgusting, especially the north west stair way. That was never adequate help at the front desk and always a line. The overall feel of the hotel was gross, outdated, and very poorly maintained. I will definitely not be staying there again!
Quiet No cookie
Coffee but no coffee maker. No fridge.
Staff was absolutely wonderful, went above and beyond, very welcoming making our stay even better! Breakfast was the best I have had during a hotel stay to this point. Workout facility was great with all precor fitness machines. I would definitely return to this facility hands down. We did not receive a cookie at check in, not a big deal but a good doubletree stamp that we love.
Easy friendly check in.
This hotel was every thing we were expecting and much more. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and very nice. We will definitely stay again.
The suite we had was excellent. It was clean and spacious. Very much worth the money which we got at a very low price. The breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and will use this hotel again in the future.
The staybridge suites were excellent for a 3 star hotel. Not only was it very roomy and comfortable but it offered so much. We had a kitchen, living room that separates from the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and perfect size. We really did not want to leave, I could have lived there. And the location was great also, everything was less than 5 minutes away.
Never again. Very disappointing place to stay. Room was very beat up-bugs on floor in kitchen area, red spots on carpet, and couch and chair had tears. Really needs some work.
After spending one night downtown we moved to the Staybridge so we could visit IKEA. My husband (a snorer) and I stayed in one bedroom and my son had the other one. Both bedrooms had their own bath and the living/kitchen area was in between so the rooms were adequately separated and my son wasn't kept awake by his dads snoring. The grounds were great, plenty of free parking and a very nice breakfast. All at a very reasonable cost. Doesn't get much better than that.
I stayed here with my kids and it was a good experience. The manager was nice. The room was clean. I liked having the full kitchen. Good value for the money.
I was very impressed with the staff, clealiness of the entire grounds & the room. The breakfast buffet was great - something for everybody. The room was extremely comfortable & clean. The staff was very attentive to our needs, We were close to everywhere we needed to be. We will definately stay here again next year!! ' FOUR THUMBS UP!!
In my quest to find an affordable place to stay while attending classes at the Motorola facility, I found the Staybridge Suites and elected to give them a try. The rooms were comfortable and facilities exceed my expectations. I would highly reccommend and plan to stay again when I again visit the Schaumburg area.
I enjoyed the limited time i stayed at the hotel. The staff was really helpful, the continental breakfast was always hot. i always had a clean room w/ clean sheets.i would stay here again the next time i am in chicago
Enjoy the breakfast, staff very accomodating People not cleaning up after their children. Carpets are festooned with food. Staff cleans afterwards but this limits where we could sit. Don't want scrambled eggs on my shoes. Clean up after yourselves!
No safe in the room
Rooms are clean and updated,
Staff was very friendly, the hotel was very updated, beds were comfortable, everything was so clean and smelled nice, spacious rooms, everything you need. Would be nice if it was closer to Chicago, no microwave, pillows weren't great.
Staff was terrible and there rooms had tons of issues with it
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to get us in our rooms early. Great place. Clean, quiet and great breakfast choices.
I booked a week ahead and upon arrival was told they no longer had a room for me. They put me in a "motel" down the street. I was traveling for business and packed light, did not pack everything I needed due to the amenities at a Hyatt, which they did not have at the place they put me up in. I paid $110 more than the nightly rate at the place they put me up in and no one will return my call and refund that money. This seems like a pretty good scam for the Hyatt. I'm extremely disappointed as I've used the Hyatt for business many times before and the service at this location was terrible.
The staff was very nice and welcoming. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast line was soooooo long each day we were there. Our bathroom had noticeable water damage to the walls and shower. The couch in our room was noticeably worn. The fridge wasn't cold at all. There were no outlets near the bed to charge our phones or other devices.
Staff were very courteous and attentive to my needs. none
The hotel was really close to the mall which was very convenient! It was also very close to a lot of restaurants. The room we had was amazing and very comfortable. It was very clean and modernized. They also had a pool, even though we didn't have time to get to experience it. The breakfast, which was included, was amazing as well! It was also a very decent price! The guy that helped us check out was super friendly and helpful! The heat was not working in our room unfortunately, but even with the air not working it still wasn't too cold. There was also a lack of parking spots later at night. When we checked in we had a great spot by the front door, but then we left to eat and came back and there was only one spot left and half of it was a snow bank... So needless to say I parked on a snow bank. Also there were no vending machines, if you wanted something to drink or snack on you had to buy it from the front desk. And the prices were outrageous. Also the lady that checked us in was sort of snobby.
Close to shopping and easy to find. The rooms were clean and spacious. I lile that it had a pool, hot tub and fitness room. The complimentary breakfast wasn't the greatest and there was a problem with the toilet in our room. No information on things to do in the area.
Loved the location and Room Size. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Loved the hot breakfast too!
Cozy place w/ free breakfast! The bed a kind of hard and the pillows were not that great and the bathroom was small!
Everything was good & well taken care . The staff was friendly & rooms wer spacious . Nothing that I can think off
I like it when everything is new or newer and updated. Didnt feel like you where staying in someone elses old house.
The staff was really friendly and the hotel is very high quality
breakfast. staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. room was fine, and location was just what we needed for the nearby Japanese mall and LegoLand. no maid service at all (we stayed 2 nights). trash cans were thus overflowing, etc. one of the two front desk people didn't seem interested in the hotel business, and wasn't particularly friendly (the other person was great!)
clean comfortable, great bed, attentive and friendly staff. A good choice for business travel.
Location was good and close to shopping. To start off with, the room had several spiders in it with cob webs everywhere. There was black mold on the wall by the window when we pulled back the curtains. The 2nd day we found an earwig crawling on the bathroom floor. The walls were paper thin, you could hear the entire phone conversation of the guest in the other room including the person on the other line. Not a good stay at all. I brought this to the attention of the front desk attendant and he could of cared less. I would not choose to stay there again and would never recommend this place to anyone based on our stay.
The location was great and staff were responsive when we had an issue with the door jamming and with billing confusion over a prepaid room. It's nice having an all-suite hotel so we don't have to think about which room we want. There were ashtrays in the non-smoking rooms, several cigarette butts in the sink when we arrived, and the whole room stank. We arrived well after bedtime with a cranky toddler and were only staying one night, so we just dealt with it, but it was gross.
Very dirty and uncomfortable. Would not recommend.
The floors in our room were very sticky, even the carpet. We didn't even take our shoes off because it was so gross. My parents room had the latch on the frame of their door completely missing. The staff working breakfast didn't even speak English, so you couldn't even ask them anything or explain anything. That was extremely frustrating. To pay that kind of money and have your room be dirty, and not maintained, as well as staff that doesn't speak English? We were extremely disappointed.
There was a spider in the bathroom.
Friendly staff Happy Hour Noisy Cold showers Water pressure poor
I love that we get two rooms with a door dividing the two with Embassy Suites. The staff was friendly! I feel like this location really needs an update. Everything just feels a little old. We've stayed at many other hotels in this area and this Embassy Suites is our last choice. Nothing in particular that was 'bad', but nothing stood out as spectacular either. The breakfast choices were really minimal and not very tasty. I was really surprised that we felt this way as the breakfast here used to be one of the favorite things about staying here.
No privacy! The guests in the pool were children alone. Unattended by parents and over the maximum capacity by DOUBLE. Kids were screaming non stop The door to the hotel room was a wall of glass, if the drapes are open. You could peek right in!
The breakfast made to order is awesome! I don't have anything bad to say.
Rooms were very spacious, but dated. I liked the mini fridge, microwave and separate living space from the bedroom. The bedroom also had an additional vanity with mirror and sink for getting ready in the mornings. Coffee in room was nice. BRING YOUR OWN HAIRDRYER! It took me over an hour to blow dry my hair, so be sure to bring your own, ladies with longer hair! The rooms were dated, but provided a lot of space. Bathrooms were dated as well.
