10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess of the house (Christine) is amazing. We had the best couple of days because of her! :) Merci beaucoup Christine!! She made us a delicious breakfast everyday (baguette, pancakes, pie, fresh fruit out of her own garden, jam home made too). Furthermore, she gave us great tips on where to go for hiking and which places to visit. It was the best visit I have ever had in my life. She has 2 dogs and 2 horses who walk freely around the house in the garden. There is a fence so it is safe. The dogs are very friendly too. Swimming pool by the house also very nice. A lot of sun hours so perfect for a day of relaxation.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that I did not like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: EVERYTHING! This B&B is fantastic, which is down to the hard work of the wonderful host Christina, who is caring & attentive. The horses are allowed to roam around the grounds & her two dogs are adorable. You will NOT leave hungry as the breakfast just keeps coming!
Cons: Having to leave so soon & saying goodbye to Christina & her two dogs.

Cons: Beautiful setting. Friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, well designed and finished rooms, very friendly host. Used as a stopover on return drive through France for our family of four. Charming location, well finished room with plenty of room for four, comfortable beds. Ordered sandwiches for the kids and it was fresh baked bread, fresh butter and a very good ham at a good price. Breakfast was classic continental breakfast served on the terrace outside, great way to start the day for our final run home. A little off the main motorway but simple enough to find and much better than a soulless box on an industrial estate near a motorway junction. Room was well appointed with two double beds, room had a little kitchenette and fridge, bathroom was clean with a good hot and powerful shower. Host was super helpful and friendly, views were beautiful If you're looking for nightlife and being in the centre of things then this is not the best choice. But if you want a charming, comfortable overnight in the country, highly recommended
Cons: Honestly, for what we needed, couldn't fault it. There was a small problem with connecting to the Wifi but even that was sorted quickly. Its a little bit off the main routes, but its a simple enough 20 minute diversion and if you want peace and quiet, with beautiful views you need to go a little off the beaten track.

Pros: Very friendly host, cooked a delicious dinner for us and told a lot of interesting things. The room is spacious enough, a comfortable bed, the bathroom by French standards in general is magnificent. Breakfast is delicious. Around nature, very relaxing. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: A charming bed and breakfast in a tranquil location just a couple of hours from Cherbourg. We had a fabulous stay! The bed was comfy and the room was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed table d'hôte in the evening, a delicious 3 course meal with aperatif ,wine and local produce, with other guests, for 30 euros pp. In the background, classical music played throughout the meals and when he heard I played the clarinet, he sourced Rossini's piece for clarinet! There was a huge choice at breakfast including yogurts, brioche, pancakes, jam, cheese, croissants and fresh fruit.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like, but a hair drier would have been useful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, totally peaceful. Comfortable bed. Great shower and bathroom with plenty of towels and loads of shower gel! Jacky, the host was incredibly welcoming and his cooking was sensational; all local produce.
Cons: Nothing, except for the fact that we didn’t stay longer

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good walk-in shower suitable for our reduced-mobility son. Good breakfast served in pleasant dining room. Coffee/tea making facilities. Nice double bed.
Cons: The third adult had a fold-up bed, but he didn’t complain! We had a first floor room with rather tight staircase - not the best arrangement for our son. Couldn’t use a wheelchair on uphill stony path to front door. Son managed it on foot.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Arrived for a one-night stop in sunshine in May with all the apple trees in bloom and was met by a warm welcome by the Desfrièches. Had brought our bread and cheese which we enjoyed in the sunshine on the small table below our room. We have yet to find a more fresh and tasty cidre than the one from the Desfrièches. A god bed in a clean room finished the night. A pleasant breakfast and a tour round the fermentation tanks and cellars and a walk under the apple trees started our next day. Will do again, if we have the chance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful, relaxing and calm. Corinne was very welcoming and nothing was too difficult. She made us a bbq while we drove into Carrouges to buy meat from the local butchers. Breakfast with fresh croissants and homemade jams on the terrace overlooking the fruit trees.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Would be nice if there were some cupboards and drawers in the room.

Pros: Renovated with taste and very clean. Our hostess was very friendly, and offered us cider with the meal that we asked her to heat for us (there was no other option for an evening meal as we had cycled 100 km and had no car - the place is a bit off the beaten track). Breakfast was very good.
Cons: No criticisms at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived at the location to be greeted by the owners and asked us to join them tasting their own farm produced cider and calvados... what better start could you have! The accommodation was superb with great beds and was spotless. Our hosts were lovely and joined us at breakfast, even though we only spoke a little French. Overall a great experience
Cons: Nothing

It is the perfect place to break your journey and to dine well with such friendly staff and owners, thank you for looking after us all so well!

Pros: The staff couldn't do enough for us as we arrived soaking wet and tired from the Caen ferry. The evening meal was excellent as was breakfast. The 2 motorcycles were safely parked around the back of the hotel. This is our second stay here and would return again.

Cons: Unsatisfactory shower
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice view from the room pleasant staff and an excellent restaurant. A typical Normandy small town hotel. The unassuming entrance belies a comfortable and well appointed room. The star is the dining room and fine dining that goes with it. The food prepared by the hotel owner is excellent value, using local produce cooked to a high standard. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't mind being off the beaten track.
Cons: The stairs were narrow and steep.

8.2 Excellent (120 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at La Lentillière in Lalacelle, you'll be 12 minutes by car from Carrouges Chateau. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast was good and dinner very good albeit service slightly slow
Cons: Room would have been fine had it not been for water leak through ceiling
7.5 Good
Pros: The main reception, bar and restaurant areas
Cons: Our room which was in the old main part of the property, it was tatty as was the stairway and hallway and smelt old and musty
5.8 Okay
Pros: Restaurant was descent but pricey. Like the old feel of the building Plenty of parking Drink are pricey but with a good selection
Cons: I'm a 6 foot 5 adult who was given a short bed with a wooden edge (I couldn't stretch all night). The cheap rooms are facing an extremely busy road who have double glazing windows that need to be kept close for the level of noise pollution. But in a very hot summer day you have to open it as there is no ventilation or air conditioning. So I had absolutely no sleep at all. It was the worst night before having to drive for 6 hours. Will not recommend the cheap rooms in the summer season.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place for group of 5 bikers. We arrived very close to closing time for the restaurant and they kept it open for us including a late member of our group. Good parking area.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The patron and staff were friendly and always smiling. I felt they wanted to help.
Cons: First stay at Logis hotel proving disappointing. Bed too narrow for 2 persons so every movement involved contact waking the other. Managed only 3 hours sleep 2nd night. Lack of sleep spoilt day at race circuit. Bedroom heating too hot and controlled only by opening bathroom window. Food disappointing. Breakfast milk & fresh fruit icy cold. Croissants in short supply. Kidneys overcooked & lamb served red not pink. Minute bottle of shower gel for 2 persons not replenished 2nd day. Shower attachment to wall broken. Main room light had 3 bulbs but 1 defective. Felt housekeeping lacked attention.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: We were promised a nice room instead we were given a room so small, the loo you couldn’t sit on with the door shut, the bed was for one person so too small for two,you could hear the people in the next room whispering!!!!
6.7 Good
Pros: The food was delicious but over priced for the portion size. The alcohol is also expensive for quantity ratio.
Cons: Prices and portions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was all about location and price and convenience - which were spot on. Being a Logis I expected good food - and this is what I got (I chose the regional specialities)
7.5 Good
Pros: The location, good value for money
Cons: N/A

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s location in the forest area.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts, lovely location. Best nights sleep in years. All round great french experience.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The gite was set in beautiful grounds and absolutely charming. The hosts were delightful and used google translate when we got stuck with our attempts to use O level French!
Cons: Variable WiFi which didn’t bother my husband or myself although the teenagers wished for more.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The food was great. The location was slightly hard to find as there is a house with the same name about 100 meters away. One night is simply not enough.
Cons: I was not expected despite the booking.com confirmation. This was not a problem for them at all and I was made welcome, but it meant that the bill was higher than expected as it is unclear that the 25% taken from the credit card was accounted for. This is less about the place and more about the booking system.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tranquil picture postcard cottage Perfect for Christmas and outside grounds. Dining outside with home made jams a real treat.
Cons: We didn’t live there
5.4 Okay
Pros: Friendly owners.
Cons: Toilet difficult for a man to use, had to hold seat up when using, also impossible to stand directly in front of urinal, sloping roof meant you had to squat down and turn body 30 deg to left. Sliding partition door difficult to slide shut and then would jamb when trying to open.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are slightly kitsch but big and with a restroom and a decent bathroom. The view and surrounding are amazing. The breakfest on the terrace is very enjoyable even if the breakfest itself is quite small in choices. The hosts are very friendly.
Cons: The living of the owners is below the rooms and you need to go through to go in/out. When they watch their telly, you hear it from the rooms but they told us we could ask them to lower the volume if needed (at the end it wasn't).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were very friendly. Thank you for the homemade jam.
