Pros: I had a wonderful stay at the Auberge de Keranden when I was in town for work – what a peaceful, lovely spot! The owners are incredibly kind, the location is perfect, the breakfast delicious, and the room was spacious and very well appointed. I hope to return, and would recommend this auberge to anyone looking for a warm and peaceful retreat in Landerneau. Mille fois merci!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marie and Jean Michel were the ultimate hosts. They were so helpful and informative about places to visit during our 3 night stay in this area of Bretagne. The downstairs room was not large but the king size bed was very comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was very well equipped with a huge walk in shower. The breakfasts were so very good and varied every day, including fresh fruit and yoghurt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely; sitting out area was an unexpected bonus; bed was really comfortable; hosts were really congenial.

9.2 Excellent (148 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Extremely well furnished, comfortable and clean apartment with tea making facilities. Very helpful staff . Once you realise that it is an apartment in a care home, for relatives to use on visits, you see that it is superb
Cons: slightly tricky to find in the town and needed to be out by 10 am, although this was no problem for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were unbelievably helpful in every way. The apartment was comfortable and had good proportions.
Cons: This is not a dislike as such, but we were surprised that the complex is primarily accommodation for elderly people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable and there is secure parking. All the members of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. The property is a short walk from the town and is well placed for exploring the countyside and coast.
Cons: The wi-fi was a little erratic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm friendly welcome and helpful staff. Well appointed spacious apartment. Swimming pool. Secure parking.
Cons: Nothing to dislike great place to stay
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms. All modern and new
Cons: We were asked to vacate the property at 10am which is very early compared to usual standard. Not sure whether this was due to the fact we stayed there on Christmas Day.
6.8 Good
Pros: Usually I like this place: nice staff, pleasant swimming pool, good location, clean appartments, secure parking. All these true this time but other problems because of very poor room location. Avoid No.22 and being on the ground floor. Lesson learnt.
Cons: But this time given ground floor room, as fas as possible from all facilities. Very unhappy with this. Road and car-parking right outside window. Like being in a zoo, had to keep curtains closed. Room lock did not work. Sticky product all over entrance hall. Kitchen ill-equipped. Terrace right on roadside, no chairs or table on it. Not the place for a relaxing time despite all its other good points. Have always had first floor room before - different experience altogether.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First, the staff was friendly, courteous, and very helpful (almost like we were old friends). The room was large and very comfortable, and was ready early which was a plus. The breakfast was well worth the price and very satisfying. On any future trip to Brest this is where we will stay!
Cons: This may sound like I'm being paid to do this review, but, honestly, I cannot think of one thing to complain about (and no, I'm not being paid in any form to write this review).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff and convenient location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very good and the location is great
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very helpful. Big room.
Cons: Old facilities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly person at the reception when I arrived. She pointed me the sightseeing places and reminded me about the celebratory fireworks in the harbor later in the evening. Private parking. Breakfast.
Cons: Bathtub was in an awful state. Shower wall was ruined, there were holes on it since you could not turn the water on/off without pushing the tab to the wall.I mean, how can anyone install it like that. The bathroom really needs to be renovated. I think it's against regulations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Elegant boutique hotel in the heart of Brest. Big beautiful rooms (ours had a view of the harbor).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, in the middle of the city, everything can be reached on foot, three minutes from the central station. Amazing breakfast for a couple of Euros. The staff bend backwards and are delightful. Very neat, tidy rooms, spacious bathrooms.

7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast and a nice room with a fully fitted bathroom and spa bath.
Cons: The wifi did not work in our room, which meant we were obliged to go on line in the main house - not very practical.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We like it's location, close to the beautiful coast and within easy drive to Brest. The hosts are nice and provide a good breakfast, the stay is on a farm which we liked, having had one ourselves, great champion border colley.
Cons: Nothing negative, just us not being able to speak french well but we managed o.k. Our internet hook-up didn't work as our portuguese provider didn't facilitate it and we are not clever enough to circumnavigate it but no big deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is in the farmhouse of a working farm. The couple who run the guest accommodation have gone out of their way to make it as comfortable and as tastefully set out as possible. Despite having limited English they were extremely welcoming and helpful. Although it is off the beaten track (in a good way) it is actually quite close to the bustling and interesting town of Landerneau.
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As it was a little off the beaten track i was expecting the accommodation to be modest. It was positively palacial with a further mezzanine bedroom upstairs. It had its own private courtyard and the hosts, Nicole and Yves Noel were delightful and couldnt do enough to make me feel comfortable. There were coffee and tea making facilities, tv, music and video. A rural setting which was a real gem!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Located on a working farm the room was delightful and had everything you could need. Although the hosts only speak French (and ours is very poor) we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was lovely and served in a beautiful sitting room.
Cons: The room and facilities, although beautiful, were just off the family kitchen, separated by a curtain. This meant that we were able to hear voices and movement around the kitchen throughout the night. We were unable to get WiFi in our room.

The other main plus points are that the hotel is in a convenient , central location but is also really quiet - there was no noise from either the street or from inside. 9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very helpful and courteous staff. Good breakfast.
Cons: Not enough convenient power outlets in room for charging pc and phone. Very limited choice of foreign TV channels, No clock in room (important for business guests). Not enough towels and very limited shelf and hanging space in bathroom. Cost of Breakfast should be included in room price by default not vice versa.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a small, provincial hotel located in a major regional center, Brest. The hotel is "state of the art" new and immaculate. The staff is warm and welcoming. I was delighted with the property. It met my needs -- completely. It was quiet, too!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast could do with more variety, scramble eggs, sausages, french toast....The breakfast to me was the same thing everyday and the things were mostly sweet.
Cons: provide different things
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location and cleaness
Cons: I booked two rooms at this hotel. As most hotels in France, it has the policy of waranty deposit, although usually they do not debit your card. But not this hotel! Instantly after the booking, they tried to block 200€ from my card (100€ for each room), but I did not have the amount available. I saw this in that moment, so I topped up the card and at their second trial, they succeeded to block the amount. We arrived at the hotel around 00.30. A lady welcomed us and during the check in she told us that she made us a favour by keeping the reservation as no deposit appears in her system. I showed her the statement from my bank, but she wouldn’t listen, not even try to understand, as it was written in English and she spoke only French. She was getting on my nerves and I told her that it was not fair and it’s a problem with her system, but still, I gave her again on POS the deposit for my room. But for the second room I didn’t agree with her to give her again the deposit. At that point, she threated us to call the police and not even check us in. More disturbing was the fact that she was saying that she has to take the deposit because we are strangers (not French). Really??? I believe she did not hear about discrimination until now, although France is a very tolerant country. Therefore she called a manager or something and, as she was explaining him the situation, she started to calm down a little. Still, she did not check us in until we gave her the card for the second room deposit. This is how we got in the situation to have blocked 400€ for a hotel which considers itself 4 stars, but in my opinion is not more than 3 stars with some staff’s attitude of 1 star. I travelled a lot in Europe, specially France, but never got in such situation. The next morning, I told the reception staff the situation, they did not know anything about it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly staff. Very clean everywhere.
Cons: Not enough racks to hang towels. Room was rather small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were well insulated against noise
Cons: The restaurant had a limited menu

Pros: The room is not big but really well designed. Nice details and very efficient. The staff was great. Really accommodating and nice.
Cons: The air inlet was in the hallway part of the room. The air didn’t reach the bed. So, even though it was not hot outside, it was warm inside. All in all a really pleasant place to stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is nice old hotel with bar, and restaurant all you need is there, and helpful stuff. We stayed one night, and it was what we need. Could stay there few days, location is perfect for exploring around.
Cons: Maybe it could be noisy since rooms are on the street, but it didn't mean anything to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best stay ever in Brest, have been there a dozen times.
5.5 Okay
Cons: The fact that they have in the cellar a discotheque and that we can hear everything in the 5th floor. Very poorly isolated. It should be clearer stated that it is impossible to sleep on a Saturday there.

Cons: Absolutely nothing to fault this place!
7.0 Good
Pros: The location, the house , the idea. This is a nice place.
Cons: The fact that it is smaller than expected. The bathroom and particularly the shower are awful. You can hardly get inside the shower so bad is the door. A tall or just a bit fat person could not get in and out of the shower. This is extremly unconfortable.

Pros: The room is spacious and airy. There are all necessary supplies. Convenient location, the residence takes 3-minute to the bus station by walk.
Cons: No hair dryer
5.8 Okay
Pros: Price was ok and the room was according to expetations
Cons: Well the walls between the room are extremely thin... Any... Really any single noise is like to be in the room, so this aspect is very bad unfortunately, all the rest was fine according to the known info. Parking of the car can also be problematic... Very few are available in the nearby.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place for short trip, bed was comfortable, internet works fine, everything was clean and new.

Cons: Worlds slowest coffee machine.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, the shower was the best we've ever had at a hotel, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We felt very at home even though we were in a foreign country. The staff could not have tried harder to help us enjoy our stay.
Cons: We found the basin a bit difficult without a plug as the water only flowed for a few seconds. We would have found helpful more information on the website about which days the evening meal was available. We dined in for two nights and the food was delicious - had the evening meal been available for all four we would have certainly dined in the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient for Landerneau and the surrounding area. It was bright, clean, comfortable and great value for money. We'd definitely stay again.
Cons: Our only issue was a water pipe behind the shower that rattled and buzzed during the night but it wasn't a huge problem.

Cons: The shower could have been cleaned better.
