Pros: Breakfast at additional cost was fantastic. Staff were very very friendly and customer service was great. They even had a fridge for guests to store food and drink if required.
Cons: The only issue was finding the place. Although the address was posted on the website, the village 'Fay' in the commune of Bains could have been more clearly noted. the accommodation is NOT in BAINS itself but in the village of Fay. Also do not type post code '43370' as it will take you to the middle of a field! Well my GPS did!

Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Convenient for walk along river. Breakfast adequate
Cons: No tea / coffee making facilities in the room considering restaurant was closed should have had the convenience of tea/ coffee/ vending machine!
Pros: Lovely little hotel
Pros: A very warm welcome. A spacious and comfortable room. The shower room /toilet was spacious. Good breakfast. Ample parking. Lovely setting by the river.
Pros: Excellent service and location

Pros: Wow, what a place! As if you walk straight into a '20ies film. Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful spacious design room with lovely view overlooking the river and the village. Excellent breakfast on the balcony. Would love to come back anytime! Chapeau for the owner, Thomas!
Pros: Everything else. Beautifully decorated and clean accommodation. Stunning views. Hosts went above and beyond. Breakfast was amazing. Gutted we only had one night.
Cons: I didn't like that we couldn't lock our room door. The hotel is obviously in a small and beautiful village but travelling alone with my son meant that the lack of a lock on the room door made me worry!
Pros: Superb breakfast, so much more than bread and jam! The hosts we’re very friendly and helpful, even made the booking for an evening meal in a local restaurant for us.
When you stay at Hôtel Restaurant du Pêcheur in Lavoute-Chilhac, you'll be 11 minutes by car from Langeac Cultural Center. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A basic room, but perfectly comfortable and adequate, plus a good shower room. Breakfast and evening meal were lovely - just what we needed. The staff are friendly and helpful - they work very hard. The location is superb - a wonderful village, full of charm and interest. Value for money is second to none. The view from our bedroom window is fabulous.
Cons: We always enjoy our stays here - there’s nothing to dislike.
Pros: Very friendly staff and extremely accommodating, we arrived around 10pm as we were stuck in traffic but the staff were more than happy to prepare pizzas for 5 of us, which we were all really grateful for, nothing was to much trouble.
Cons: The property is about 25 miles from the motorway which was a little bit of a trek, however it was worth the visit and I’m only sorry we didn’t get there earlier so we could have a little look around the village.
Pros: What a superb hotel! At the heart of this lovely town on the river Allier, the room looking out onto the rushing waters and everything you could wish for in comfort. Contemporary decor in a characterful old property - furnishings simple and stylish and such good value. They don't charge for dogs either!! The food was equally good and they were really generous with portions - a quality breakfast too. We will definitely be going back.
Pros: Very nice breakfast. Great little hotel in a lovely village. Excellent value for money and would definitely use again were I in the area.
Cons: Would have loved coffee and a kettle in the room.
Pros: Tastefully decorated and beautiful location. But most of all the owner was exceedingly kind and helpful to us. We stayed on our way through France to the channel and then on our way back to Beziers. We both felt quite ill and they were really attentive, helping us with luggage and bringing cups of tea to the room.
Cons: Could not fault it.
Pros: Spectacular setting, beautiful view from the room overlooking river. Dinner was delicious and staff very attentive.
Cons: Breakfast was too expensive.
Pros: An excellent hotel. My room was superb with a view of the river. The restaurant was also very good. I will definitely return when next in the region
Pros: Very friendly staff and nice accomodation. Our kids liked it a lot. The rooms were very comfy, the shower was perfect, and the breakfast really good. We had a perfect short stay!
Pros: The view from the rooms over the river is stunning and the whole village is very picturesque and traditionally French. Food in hotel restaurant very reasonably priced and well cooked. The breakfast is also good with cooked meats, plenty of cheese, breads and home-made jams.
Cons: The service in the hotel restaurant could have been better - they forgot to reserve our table, but they did sort it out in a very friendly manner. It was a very busy evening and for that reason the service was a bit slow. The room was smaller than the one we had when we stayed there last year, but it was adequate for an overnight stay. The hotel is some way away from the motorway, but it is worth the detour.

Pros: Nice place and great service. The owner cares about everything that the clients could need.
Pros: This is a special place. The owner, "Fred", is wonderfully welcoming and loves to speak English. Our room was vast and attractively presented and the communal area of the house is huge. Fred and his family prepared us an excellent three course dinner with good wine and coffee. We sat outside for a while admiring the extensive views of farmland and mountains. We slept well in a cool room with a very comfortable bed. In the morning there was plenty of hot water for the vast shower and breakfast with the family and other guests was traditional French with lovely bread and home made jams. Value excellent. We hope to return soon.
Pros: Easy access to Le Puy Kind owner Nature around the house Common kitchen which is fully equipped
Cons: Nothing - only issue was Sat Nav couldn't find it and no signal for Google maps. A phone call resolved..
Pros: Fred was wonderful!
Pros: Very friendly host and accommodation was charming. A good breakfast which our host shared making us feel welcome. The room was quiet and bed comfortable.
Cons: Being very rural there were a few flies and no TV in bedroom. Neither of these things spoiled our stay.

Made our son's stay. generally very helpful. Room clean and as described. Would stay again.
Cons: The hotel in reality is a B & B, but a bit like Faulty Towers although the lady did provide some simple food in the evening when I found out about there being no restaurants. Reception, breakfast all in one large room but with many tables covered with rubbish

Pros: Beautiful property, decorated beautifully and full of antiques and vintage curios. Warm welcome and a delicious breakfast. Stunning views over the abbey and river. We loved it here and can’t wait to come back
Pros: The lady who ran the hotel was very nice and the breakfast room was fantastic.
Cons: This is not a normal hotel. We had to phone the owner to get in and the key for the front door was in a secret place so you could get in after check in. The bed was not very comfortable.
Pros: This property has been restored with great sensitivity and style. The setting, whilst difficult for access and parking, is picture perfect. It is set on a steep hillside overlooked by an ancient abbey. Village is delightful.
Cons: Whilst the room was delightful, there was a lack of a seating area, and the beds weren't comfortable.
Pros: Historic charm, interiors all period, discovery of different aspects like terraces and cellar, the village itself, location and Abbey above. Breakfast in the cellar rooms. Drinking on terrace at sunset
Cons: Sat nav almost got us there. Difficult to find initially and very limited parking so luggage left in car. Just overnight bag. Did not realise that if you don't prebook dinner with owner there is none on offer. Village had one bar restaurant that was full on Friday night. Had to drive to town 8ks away to get family fed
