Pros: Breakfast was the best part of our day and we stayed there for week! We could enjoy breakfast outside given it was a nice weather. It was lot of food with some variety every day, which we loved. The host is super friendly, always smiling and is happy to give you tips what to visit. Our communication was limited though given the language barrier. Beautiful garden with flowers overlooking the hills in front of the house. We got an upgrade to our room which we appreciated very much.
Cons: The noise from the street side. With open window at night we heard the cars passing by. With closed windows it’s not an issue.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly. The place is so beautiful, specially made for those who want to rest for a few days from their routines. Room is simple with an extremely confortable bed.
Cons: The food is not a high point, specially dinner. The place is a bit isolated so you have to take that into account. Also, wifi does not work all the time. Not an issue, but take into account if you are taking a few days off and need to work remotely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place - location perfect, rooms absolutely spotless and very comfy.
Cons: No hairdryer.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel room was clean and basic. Ideal for my stay. Set in beautiful grounds. Breakfast was lovely and there is a nice restaurant nearby in the town
Cons: There is a door number system if you return late. Unfortunately that wasn’t given to me on my arrival and it wasn’t obvious it was there when we got to our room. When we arrived back late, we had to wait until another resident arrived who had been given the code. Just making future guests aware to ask for it! Don’t let that put you off. It’s a nice place to experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good for our plans. Very quiet and beautiful grounds.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit weak. If you don't arrive early your choices become more limited as they were not good at keeping the buffet stock. It seemed that they had preset amount of food for the day if they ran out you were out of luck.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location
Cons: ?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s a huge building lovely and old on the outside all modern inside... all in all I like the place as a one night stop over

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room (we chose the nature room) was really very nice, very roomy, calm and the Bed was very comfortable. Who ever designed this did a very good job.
Cons: Everything was a little worn out, the towel holder and some other parts of the bathroom were loose. So the room could have used a little bit of a makeover. Still, we had a very pleasant stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Dinner, room
Cons: Location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and Spa facilities!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Just excellent.
7.5 Good
Pros: A lot lot lot of money for an overnight stay. The hotel room was nothing special and for the extra money, the spa, more fluff than enjoyable. The pools were cool, jacuzzi tiny and cold and the whole experience as gray and dull as the stonework encapsulating everything. The restaurant (for a Logi) was extremely expensive and excellent until the main course which was awful. The staff were however excellent, particularly the sommelier who appeared and disappeared like an amazingly talented master of his art! Would I stay again? No. Was the spa worth it? No At €450 for a one night stay including dinner and an average bottle of wine, this was NOT worth the crazy money.

Cons: The design of the restaurant is not very cosy or warm; all in all I feel like the €200 I have paid for 1 night in a 2p room without breakfast + 4 course diner + drinks was a bit on the steep side for this level.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. My faith has been restored in French country cooking. Despite the fact that the weather was appalling I was very glad to have gone to Obersteinbach for our anniversary weekend, much better food and accommodation than in Rome 1979.
Cons: The weather was disappointing, two hours walking in wet beech woods was enough this time but we will be back. We appreciated the extra space for wet gear in our garden accommodation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent en suite room with spacious balcony and view over the surrounding fields and wooded hills. Homely atmosphere and good practical ecology. The rear garden is a delightful mixture .
Cons: Since the meals here have a very good reputation we were disappointed to find no evening meal could be provided on one of our two night's stay.

Pros: Very nice welcoming hosts. If you like it simple but good this your place to go in Obersteinbach. The region is extremely calm and remote from mass tourism. Hikers paradise - and a relief over the weekend for the stressed ones.

Pros: This is a unique property, feels like an old world French country inn. The setting is stunningly beautiful, and they have a lovely peaceful garden complete with geese and chickens!Loved it! It was so nice we had a picnic there for dinner.
Cons: The only small problem we had was at breakfast when lack of English delayed our order, but this was cheerfully corrected.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is attractive and unusual. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and demi-pension is good value.
Cons: The towels in the bathroom could be bigger and fluffier but if that pushed up the cost it would be better to leave well alone. Many hotels with fluffy towels are bland and lack individuality.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Super location, beautiful house and terrace, very friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and the two girls were super friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and clean with all we needed, fridge, kettle, hair dryer etc. Great team running the place and they are passionate about what they are doing.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big room, easy parking, quiet village, easy room access
Cons: Nothing of consequence - restaurant hours were rather limited and didn’t align with our schedule so we went elsewhere. The town is fairly sleepy and some of the area restaurants were off on holiday but there are dining options in other towns.
6.7 Good
Pros: the town is very nice, with beautiful houses. the hotel's furniture is somewhat old, but the room was clean.
Cons: the dinner was not worth the money paid. we had digestive problems afterwards. we haven't booked a breakfast at the hotel (after reading the bad comments) and were surprised that we could not find a place to have a breakfast on Sunday in the nearby towns, even local bakery was not open on Sunday. we were so hungry that we left the place and left France, though we had plans to visit some sights before leaving for Germany. Only in the first town in Germany we could have a great lunch. Since the pets are allowed there, one can smell that the cats/dogs have stayed in the room.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location in the forest was great. The owner gave us a recommendation for the Chateau du Schoeneck, a medieval fortress, and told us exactly where to park the car and start the climb up to it. Beautiful historical site and amazing views! Also, the room was spacious and very clean. Our room had a separable double bed and in a corner another single bed. So it was comfortable for 3 friends, but also would have been fine for a couple and child.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a hot-water heater in the room to make tea at night. But we really enjoyed our coffee and chat with the owners downstairs in the morning. :-) So not being able to make coffee in the morning wasn't such a bad thing.
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Nothing special

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, lovely bright and sunny room, very clean, lovely swimming pool and relaxation space, great location, friendly staff, very comfortable, very nice breakfast in nice environment
Cons: Nothing - all very nice indeed
7.9 Good
Pros: This is value for money: a slightly outdated room, adequate breakfast, a small swimming pool and a spa. Rooms are basic but clean. Location is right in the middle of the small town and a good starting point for local hikes.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: When I initially phoned in once I got to the location, the desk clerk could not find my reservation. He accused me of just making it when it had been made four months in advance. He then told me to email him and he would let me know if they had a room. This is while I was sitting in a parking lot a block away on check in day. I had to have someone stateside call in to booking.com to correct the issue. When we arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk said they had three hotels and didn't know which one my reservation was for. I explained that I called Hotel Majestic because that was where I was scheduled to stay. He had no excuse for his previously rude behavior. Then he gave us a room that we did not reserve. It was a room meant for disabled guests and not at all what we had requested months prior. Extremely disappointed in this accommodation all the way around.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast.
Cons: Mattresses too soft. Not possible to get a good night's sleep due to the dip in the bed. However, even though on the main road, the room was quiet.
