The position of the hotel with all rooms facing the sea. The main attraction in the Hotel is Talasso. However if the hotel want to attract more guests and to Talasso as they must speak at least main languages. Now only a few people speak English and no one - Russian. There is no information in Russian inside the hotel. The website booking.com has mor information that hotel and Talasso themselves.
A Very good location. Excellent views. Good linguistic skills of staff. The building is getting tired, time for a review of details, not good enough just to use maintenance staff to keep it alive. After many years in the service industries I would be happy to elaborate. Car parking is only just acceptable, a parking attendant would ease the frustration caused when seeking a space.
Its location... Room Size
Pleasant surrounding and good quality Value for money - 75 / 25 - It is a little expensive for what you actually get in room .Good quality facilites for spa and reelax but rooms very sparse.
Far better than what I expected.
The location was excellent with only a short walk to beach and village. Breakfast was excellent and had lots of choices. The pool could be opened earlier in the morning than 9pm before breakfast like most other hotels with facilities. The evening dinner menu should be more varied and generous with portions.
really nothing at the hotel; appart fromt the very nice view .and the access to the beach hotel seemed very 'run down' and old fashionned. definately not value for money for a short stay. the staff was non existant, the rooms were nothing better than a cheap roadside hotel type.breakfast was appaling considering the cost.if you go there for the spa the experience is probably different
The services of the Hotel, the position and the breakfast are very good. It's incredibile that in such kind of Hotel some persons of the staff don't speak english!!
Very helpful, breakfast very good value
Very handy and attractive location for catching ferry from St Malo. A clean, efficient operation with well-trained staff.
Excellent friendly and knowlegable staff, Good restaurant facilities Would have like tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms also I felt the triple room was crowded.
The service and size of the cold plate of food that I had - I arrived after the restuarant had closed, but had a massive and very tasty selection of cheeses, pates, bread etc, with three desserts - it was sufficient for my breakfast as well. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Comfortable bed, good shower - what more could you want for an overnight stay? Nothing
Good value for money. Nice breakfast. Room narrowness. Ceiling 2 meters high.
Very friendly staff who did well to speak english. Our room needed a towel rail in the bathroom, and another easy chair. The menu needs to change every few days
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and there was a very good restaurant for this budget end hotel. The rooms were very clean, especially the bathroom. It was very simply furnished. Small rooms and no snacks available, but would stay again
Convenient location after a late evening arrival from Jersey.
I found the staff to be attentive to the guests needs and able to communicate in the english language when needed.
We were travelling down to La Rochelle so was an overnight stay. The bed was uncomfortable.
The location is convenient to the surrounding areas we were visiting. The staff were friendly and helpful. A cute place for the budget we had. The bar lounge/outside deck area is nice when watching the sky change colors over the water in the mornings. We left out the Do Not Disturb sign on our door when we would leave during the day, however, the room was still entered and cleaned. We never brought it up to the staff though, but everything else was fine.
Just about everything you would want at one site. VFM probably depends on whether you want to use all that the hotel has to offer. The hotel made a mistake with our booking and could not accommodate us the first night - their response was excellent (eg free alternative hotel, upgade for the remainder of our stay). If your room has a balcony, ask for the wing on the right as you look at the hotel as it gets the sun - if that is what you want but means your room also gets warmer. Rooms at the front of the hotel can suffer from a bit of street noise and as they overlook the foyer, also from those returning from the casino, more so if you have to leave your window open to cool down. Hotel car park a bit pricey at E16 per day.
Quality of the swimming pool and the roof garden to relax in.
Facilities and helpful multi-lingual staff. The pool, gym and garden terrace were a great feature as was the location. Given ugrade from superior to deluxe as staying for 6 nights. Rooms could do with tea/coffee making facility and an additional chair or two. Although the breakfast is excellent some form of express breakfast would be good as 20 euros is expensive if only a coffee and croissant is required. Very noisey in early hours as no airconditioning means windows need to be left open.
Staff were helpful and the room was very comfortable. Lovely swimming pool. Luckily we spotted that we'd been charged for breakfast (40 euros!) when we'd only had coffee.
Location in Dinard was perfect. The bedroom provided did not have air conditioning.
friendly, helpful staff having to pay extra for the car
The welcome was good and as expected. Garden, terrace and pool pleasant. Staff helpful, pleasant. Disappointed in room- dark with no view, not good value for. money
Excellent facilities & Location The fact that Parking & Breakfast was an extra charge.
situation and friendly staff
Very professional staff No complaints
A beautifully modernised hotel in a fabulous location. Rated !0/10
Clean and tidy hotel with attentive staff. Food good. Food rather expensive.
quite comfortable, very small room, the restaurant and cafe was extremely expensive for a 3 star hotel, staff very friendly. room, bed and toilet far too small. Towels too small and thin.
Staff were not particularly friendly compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Dinard and was not child friendly. Could not get a reservation in the restaurant during our stay which was one of the reasons for booking this hotel. Not the hotels fault as maybe we should have made table reservations earlier however got the impression they did not like children in the restaurant. Unfortunately the room was very small and did not reflect the pictures on the website. Lack of wardrobe space and the toilet was very small - felt like you were in a cupboard!. Could only keep the windows open with the exterior blind down which blocked out all the light. Probably not an issue for someone without children but not a suitable room with children.
The location of the hotel is lovely overlooking the mouth of the River Rance. The staff are friendly and the food excellent with an attractive terrace for eating or drinking.
The hotel is magnificently located, the tide laps at the door and the gentle sound of the tidal flow filled the room. The room was spacious and stylishly comfortably furnished. Free high speed internet access was appreciated. A quitet corner of Dinard with ready access to everything is rare and greatly appreciated.
Great position and excellent value. Definitely to be visited again.
Stayed the 13th to the 20th Sept 2009 and found the staff very friendly and helpful.Recommend you book early and ensure you have a room with a sea view like we did. Balconies on all first and second floor sea view rooms. Parking was fine but could imagine in the summer to be more difficult.
Lovely room with great view. I think at the rate they were charging , breakfast should have been included. The rooms were incredibly noisy and it was possible to hear neighbours flushing toilets etc. The bathroom smelt of drains but admittedly when we mentioned this on departure the staff said they would look in to this.
nice hosts, good breakfast, sea view. room a bit small
The Hotel is well situated for the N137 route into St Malo and despite its proximity to the motorway was quiet. The hotel is located in a commercial area with only a Macdonald's or Pizza take away to compete with its restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was uninspiring and the food overpriced.
Staff could nt find our reservation when arrived.took some time.
comfortable room.plenty of hot water good central heating, easy access. secure parking. good TV. We booked an evening meal. The buffet was very unattractive, the main course was ok,but the dessert was stale and unappetising. Breakfast was fine.
Easy to find. Very comfortable. Friendly welcome. Good food.
Friendly staff, good choise of food in restaurant
A good welcome and good value for money with regard to the room and the meals we took there.
The place was very clean and tidy
Perfect location for our needs having a restover before going on to the Ferry the following morning. Excellent breakfast and evening meal Tends to be getting a little pricey for a one night stay
Reasonably quite and convenient for the ferries to UK
Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, a good spread for breakfast. A little overpriced.
Recently modernised very comfortable helpful staff
Efficient reception, comfortable room, clean modern shower, external electric window shutters. Walking distance to beach 1 minute, walking distance to good selection of great restautrants 2 minutes, great walks along the seafront with summer boat service across the estuary to St Malo. BBC World on the TV lots of French channels but so many times you can watch the news if you don't speak French, other hotels in this town have more English tv channels which would be a plus.
It is situated near the center of the city The best room's price is much higher than the standart, but the difference is so little (about 3 square meters - it means nothing)
The funny/friendly attitude of the staff though very professionnal - location - design - "piano bar" Price/quality of breakfast
We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very central to the beach and restaurants Our room although being very clean and comfortable was a bit small
the exceptional friendliness of the staff. We liked everything. Would have been nice if the hotel has restaurant facilities.
Friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable room Room rather dark. Would have liked to have coffee/tea making facilities
proximity to the beach
Staff were very friendly and helpful.Breakfast range good
we had a very friendly reception and found the bedroom clean and comfortable if ,maybe a little small The breakfast was very adequate
Hotel in very good location. Very clean with excellent breakfast. Very heplful staff. No Parking at hotel, though free parking close by with information from reception staff.
My daughter & I had to stay an extra day in France due to a flight change. I chose this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Adviser. The staff were very helpful & gave excellent recommendations for restaurants. The room was clean and modern and good value. I would recommend this hotel
great facelift though it has lost its old real French style I have known for 20+ years. Very welcoming; spottlessly clean, excellent breakfast, good value parking if you ask. Rooms small but beautifully furnished. no
location is excellent for shopping, dining out, the beach and good bus service to neighbouring places. The staff are brilliant and helpful and organised a taxi to pick us up at the airport and take us back. The room was clean, modern and fresh, comfy bed with thick warm duvet. Fabulous! Would be nice to have a kettle in the room for that first drink of coffee or tea in the morning.
The hotel was bright and new and the staff were very welcoming No car parking. The room needed a mirror in the bedroom as well as the bathroom, especially as it was 2 ladeis sharing.
The service at this hotel is excellent. None
Staff were very helpful, the bathroom was very good and everything was very clean.Good heating/ air con A kettle would have been a nice inclusion in the room and it was a little small, but it was excellent for money, so can't complain.
Excellent location. Staff ( particularily the Manageress ) were extremely polite and helpful. The breakfast was very good and unhurried. During our stay at the beginning of September the bar shut at 7.00pm so no chance of a nightcap when returning from an evening out.
A lovely hotel situated in a lovely part of the countryside. Staff very helpful. Would have liked a kettle and some tea and coffee in the room.
Pretty courtyard and flowers, charming ambiance, like a family home, and views over countryside see through nylon curtains insteadf of fabric
we liked the good hospatality of the owners, the comfortable rooms, good choice of breakfast.this is a 2star hotel with 3/4 star features. would definatley reccomend.
Small manor/hotel in the countryside. Owners are warm, friendly and helpful. The owners are English speaking in France, which was most helpful. Hotel was a great locaiton for exploring the northern coast of Brittany.
Very peaceful ut of the way. Proprieter spoke some english
Good location for coast and towns. Peaceful with lovely views of the Rance. None
I liked everything! Not having coffee or tea in the room.
A really lovely Manoir in a beautiful setting. The room was spacious comfortable and warm with a stunning view of the Rance. The owner was very pleasant and helpful ,he arranged for us to eat at a restaurant a couple of miles away which was very good. The continental breakfast was excellent.. Nothing,we would like to have stayed longer and will certainll visit again. It is half an hour from St Malo, has a large carpark which is locked at night ,very useful if you have a carfull and heading for the ferry.
Spacious room, very helpful and friendly staff, charming building, great location for exploring the area by car
The country manor setting was wonderous due to damp weather the room had a slight mildew smell.
100 yrds from beach, comfortable room, 24 hrs come & go. no coffee/tea making facilities in rooms (minor niggle)
comfortable beds, clean and functionning facilities, good breakfast, easy access to town, not too noisy pity no parking, pity no hospitality tray (tea and coffee), would like real soap.
Its location close to the beach Breakfast was expensive
The location just across from the main beach is perfect and it is handy for the shops and local restaurants.
Great position and lovely outdoor patio area No bar!
close to beach and all amenities. good value for money.
Booking.com said there was private parking that is why we booked but we were told on arrival that there wa not. A little disappointing.
Hotel location is excellent -just 50 metres from main beach. Rooms were small but clean and sea view was good. Hotel needed lots of tlc but could be great. Breakfast was expensive and lacked value and choice. Proprietor did not really build up any rapport, or show us the hotels rooms or its facilities or discuss the general ammenities within the resort.
central location (though far from ferry station, 10 min walk), big rooms uncomfortable beds (they move when you move), dark in the corridors
A friendly and convenient base from which to search for a now-defunct hotel I stayed in as a child in 1954! Didn't dislike anything
Loved everything about it. The welcome, beautiful room with balcony and fabulous view. Immaculately clean. Great breakfasts. Superb location. Nothing.
The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, hotel was in a fanstastic position - overlooking the sea.
Very quirky, very French. Bathroom a little dated - like your mother's bathroom in the seventies (!) but very clean and comfortable. Lovely view of beach from bedroom and superbly situated for Dinard centre for restaurants/shops. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free parking available in public carpark across the road. Very handy for boat to UK and Ireland and would use again, There wasn't really anything we didn't like. The breakfast at 12 euros was adequate - perhaps a freshly baked croissant rather than supermarket fare could be included for this price. Apart from that - all fine.
Breakfast was excellant
Good breakfast. Helpful receptionist who advised me where to eat in town and provided map. no complaints
Cleanliness. Beds and towels changed very frequently and room was kept tidy without any inconvenience. Helpful advice given when required. Breakfast a bit pricey.... but Dinard itself is now an expensive town for meals and snacks. Did not have a car but parking charges are steep for those who drive.
Soundproofing is very poor. Shower is poor and ineffective
Lift down to beach, good location, sea side rooms have balconies Rooms facing the street can be noisy
Situation excellent..hotel was smack on the beach....a lift took us from our floor to within yards of the promenade.Closeness to Dinard airport meant car unnecessary for our 5 day break...lots of nearby walks and restaurants(.Bedroom had an excellent and large double bed and cotton sheets.) Our street view room was a fair size but rather dark (despite clever and plentiful use of mirrors )and a little noisy at night.Very small bathroom and toilet....no good for big tall people!
Very prompt helpful and polite service, well organised and a very clean and tidy modernised hotel
easy to check in through 24hr hole in wall check in system - good if arriving late. good location for where we needed to access. Nice breakfast, pleasant staff. very basic accomodation but good value for money. bed spreads/top sheets not washed inbetween guests so looked unclean and stained. room could have been cleaner, partic the floor and toilet. very small rooms.
Location. Too expensive for what you get. Automatic check-in not functioning which obliged us to wait for an hour before the arrival of a staff member. No apologies presented.
Kids loved the bunkbed above the main bed! Location was very convenient when arriving by ferry in St Malo. Good, practical solution for an overnight stop. Beds were quite hard. Breakfast wasn't great, but was quite cheap so we weren't expecting too much anyway! Worth calling to make sure reception doesn't close before you get there.
It is not a hotel, it is a motel. There do not appear to be any staff. Checking in is by machine and we did not see any other person there. It looks like the sort of place someone would get ed in a horror film.
Clean, friendly and convenient for onward travel N/A
Arrived late at night. Checking in by machine quite easy. Rooms basic but clean and functional. Slept well no noise. Breakfeast layout good and staff frendly and very helpfull. Will stay again
Swimming pool plus near to town The room was very small & there was no ventilation ie no window to open. did not think that this hotel rates as a 3 star.
Fine for overnight stopover on route to/from ferry but no longer. We just stayed the night and left before breakfast to catch ferry at St Malo. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Vey small bathroom. No soundproofing between rooms. However, for the price, it was adequate.
Easy access to the old town and ferry. Good facility for wheelchair user although bed needs moving away from toilet/bathroom slightly. Cheap and convenient for the area. Ok for stop-over for onward travel. We stayed two nights to explore the area, that was enough though. Old and tired decor, needs revamping. Old smelly blankets, but sheets clean. TV and heater did not work. Automatic check in not ideal, especially after 9pm, as key card failed to work on second night. (Good job staff still there!) Care when entering address into sat-nav as we ended up in cow field!
It is good for the price. I knew where I was going to.
Perfect 'stop over' hotel pre ferry - excellent location - very clean and friendly staff. Owner very friendly in advising walks / restaurants and such n/a
The staff were more than helpful
Perfect as a base. Hotel has a very relaxed and comfortable feel about it. Hotel reception (Pascal) very friendly and helpful.
Very convenient location near centre of Dinard and a good location for the ferries from St Malo. We appreciated being able to check in and leave luggage before the designated check-in time.
Cleanliness, convenience, qulait yof breakfast
Staff were mostly perfectly friendly Not a single soul there had any English whatsoever. Not a problem for us but could be for many. Perhaps this is a factor that could be included? Beds not very comfortable and small towels. Shower leaked and flooded floor in bathroom.
the staff were very helpful and polite and welcomed us in a profressional manner
very helpful staff. hotel very basic, shower a work of art to use
we were warmly greeted by the most charming frenchman who owned this hotel. he was so good humoured and helpfully gave us great advice on where to visit in the area, so we saw all the best sights. the hotel is located about a kilometer outside the pretty seaside town of dinar. this is only a 10 minute walk along the quaint residential streets to the hotel, which has free parking. the room was basic, but comfortable, clean, quiet and included tv and wi-fi. it was also the best value in dinar, which for us, was one of the nicest towns in beautiful brittany.
closeness to town nice location
The room was very pleasant and although we arrived at about 9pm the lady at check in agreed to supply some food for us. We had been told that there were plenty of places to eat around the hotel. However it would have involved going by car to either Dinard or St Malo which we did not anticipate having to do.
Good family accommodation, actually a self catering unit Unfortunately arrived too late to test the facilities
The Hotel was bright ,clean, warm, friendly, informative,in a good location close to the town centre for restaraunts, shops, bars & of course the lovely promenade & beaches, also the bus stop just across the road/way to St Malo. The only minor point would be having to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel 12 to 15 euro.As there is no bus or train service.Maybe the hotel could look into picking the guests/customers up at a reduced cost compared to a cab or have a free shuttle service, guests to call when through at airport.
Very good location, an easy walk to the market, beach, restaurants, shops, bus stop etc. The staff were also extremely obliging and helpful, eg they kept reception open late for us to check in and lent us an umbrella when it was raining. No shampoo in the bathroom, but that's not a big deal.
the staff were very helpful and made us feel very welcome gave us advice where to go and booked taxis for us and we arrived very late after fligh canceled and we were rerouted here to fly from dinard. no kettle in room but manager could see we needed a cup of tea and gave us a kettle to make tea in our room made a big differnence as we had a long day. loved the town itself and where made to feel very welcome and would recommend to anyone. just to have a kettle in the room.
The lady who owned the hotel couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful
The hotel was convenient for the town of Dinard No coffee or tea facilities in the room
Easy to find. Clean, pleasant staff, good breakfast
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very pleasureable. There was lots of information about things to do and places to go. In summary an enjoyable stay, The rooms were a bit on the small side
Receptin dinning area nicely decorated and pleasant Accomadation and stair case decoration needs upgradig
Warm Welcome; comfortable beds; good continental breakfast and good spread of availability times. Lack of lift and need to carry suitcases up stairs a little difficult for me (77)
Very clean, comfortable and very friendly, helpful staff.
