Director was diligent unfortunately without experiences. Resort wasn´t generally ready for summer season. In the swimming pool were works in progress. On the beach were not any facilities. Internet has never been there. Staffs were lazy.
Quiet, private, friendly, clean, comfortable, good breakfast selection. Nothing too much trouble for owner. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Hard to find as no road signs to hotel.
Service, ease of access, quiet
Wonderful views to the sea. Good breakfast, plenty of choice.Lovely big swimming pool., Fabulous train ride from here into the mountains. Close to lakes, walks etc. Dont go here if you want the beach, 30 minutes away. We still enjoyed the drive. Torre di Bari, fabulous beach. The public areas around the hotel and pool neede to be tarted up a bit.
the hotel is a little bit old, actually everything seams a little bit old there. If you wanna go to the beacht it takes about 30 minutes or more.
Our room (in the annexe) was roomy and well equipped (except that the hand-held shower and no shower curtain made it difficult to avoid flooding the bathroom!), with a pleasant balcony with an excellent view down to the sea.. Good buffet breakfast every day.
One person's very helpful attititude Lack of swimming pool, no effective person to complain to, no real interest in the complaint
It was a very relaxing peaceful place to stay the service was excellent and they did everything that they could to accommodate you. Breakfast was the only dissappointment as english are not really catered for.
Beautiful garden, clean rooms, close to the beach, good breakfast. The room was very damp and had an unpleasant smell. The shower was quite small.
Very Picturesque hotel, great beach nearby very few choices for food other than 1 other hotel nearby
Location Expected more comfort for the money and four star rating, based on experience with other Sardinian hotels with same rating and comparable prices.
The beach, the garden, the restaurant, environment Poor breakfast
environment, the beach reserved for hotel guests, pool the seaside room on the first floor was small, had no balcony and no view to the sea
The hotel was away from any town and virtually on the beach. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed having our own entrance to our rooms and also a sitting area outside. The hotel staff were very unintrusive and made us very welcome.
Great location in the area not spoiled by mass tourism, friendly stuff, great pool. Small room, internet connection not available, expensive meals. Very limited breakfast offer, everyday almost the same.
There was one very polite and kindly employee that changed us to a better room. This isn’t a 4 star hotel everywhere out side Italy. It’s in the end of the world, the surroundings are terrible and the beach has nothing special. It’s old, it smells old, it has nothing around to see and in a region without any glamour or beauty.
good kitchen, distance to beach short, low noise
the restaurant is very good, with nice service, delicious food and excellent wine selection. the hotel is nicely built, with its pool area and rooftop jacuzi.
More family style. Was an actual apartment w/kitchen facilities. Great location if all you want is beach. Beautiful flowers growing around the hotel. Would have liked a better selection at breakfast. Too many sweets were offered.
Great location for peace and quiet, incredibly flexible staff and owners, beautiful view, good food at a reasonable price
The location, views, beaches and the staff were all wonderful. Couldn't fault it. The room was fantastic and the food was great. Everyone should go there.
Great location, friendly staff, home feel during the stay.
A lovely hotel just over the road from the beach. Staff very frendly and helpful. Good choice of food for breakfast and the evening meals were excellent.
We stayed for 3 nights in September 2007 and found the staff very welcoming and keen to help in any way. Breakfast was particularly good and the best we found in all our hotel stays in Sardinia. Its location right on the beach front is great and there is a fantastic beach bar just opposite where you can sit on the beach as the sun goes down. Food there also good. There is quite a sunbstancial restaurant in the hotel also. The rooms were quite basic but good value for money. There are balconies but the one we had didn't have much of a view. We thought it would be very secluded which was an attraction but there are several hotels within walking distance however this provides a variety of eating and drinking venues.
Very welcoming owners/managers. Lovely quiet spot. Very good value for money. Don't expect nightlife...we didn't and were very satisfied.
the view from the veranda very small room- if it rains it's not very comfortable
The people at the hotel were extremely welcoming and did everything that they could to make our stay very enjoyable. The place was very nice and the breakfast was excellent and you really can't beat the place for the price. You would need a car to stay here as it is in a small town.
Quiet and peaceful place. Excellent staff, very kind, always providing useful information. Nice location, close both to the mountains and the sea, a good "base" for unforgettable trips.
Very spacious appartment in quiet location with good parking. Short drive to excellent beach and well placed for walking trips in the hills. As out of season we were upgraded to a larger appartment at no extra cost.
The hotel is family run by a family who cares about their customers. We stayed after the season had finished, so the dining room was closed for lunch and dinner, but the family referred us to a supurb local restaurant. The hotel was built about 2005 at the site of the grandmother's house in a densely forested location with stupendous sea views out over the trees. Just the place to relax and de-stress and only 5 minutes drive from the town centre Everything worked well - no problems or dislikes
The hotel is in the heart of a small mountain town, which is located ideally for hill walking. The narrow streets make for good exploration. Limited internet access in hotel. Rooms facing the street (which is the main route through the town) are very noisy due to heavy vehicle traffic from early hours. Rooms at back of hotel are quieter.
The staff were very plesant, the place was kept clean and it was conveniently located for the su marmuri grotto The need for a hire car to go and get dinner- no restaurant in the 'town' of ullassi
Friendly, helpful staff and lots of info available about surrounding area. Nearest place to eat is 4 kilometres away near the caves.
The loveliest people you could meet. Treated us like family and really cared and tried their hardest to ensure we had a great holiday. Also excellent value for money.
Fabulous views across the hills to the sea, and of the mountains behind. Lack of evening meals, had difficulty finding someone to attend to check in on arrival, staff had poor English. Parking limited on narrow streets.
The staff are very warm and accommodating.
lovely place , tonino and his wife are two very kind persons the location , ulassai is very remote , it's ideal for a quite break away from the crowd. brilliant spot for trekking, climbing etc.. but if u fancy a day out at the beach , tortoli is more ur location. su marmuri is about 40 mins away by car from the nearest beach. so don't be afraid to use the car, even u want to eat out , only one pizzeria in the town ( but gorgeous and cheap price max 5.5 euro for the carbonara yummy )
Spectacular views, calm and relaxing environment, positive energy - a good base to see the surrounding countryside and not too far from coast (30-50 min drive). Really friendly staff and great breakfasts. Rooms were a little small and the furnishing a little dated.
Restaurant was excellent - good value and delicious food. Rooms at back look onto concrete although they are quiet.
Very mediocre hotel, but cheap. Has a lively public bar and restaurant. Hardly saw any staff. Breakfast was a pre-packed croissant.
The staff was very serviceminded and made us feel welcome and comfortable. They did their best to communicate with us, even though we did not speak Italian and they only spoke limited English according to themselves. The service at the hotel was very good, both in the morning when having breakfast and during our dining in their restaurant. Every morning we were welcomed by the staff at the breakfast with a fresh slightly warm croissant and a good cup of coffee/cappucino/chocolate. The turned on television in the restaurant in the evening could sometimes be disturbing when having a enjoyable dinner. The breakfast they offered (juice, water, toasted bread, Nutella, different jam, honey, and pre-packed croissants, and a fresh croissant and a cup of coffee) could in our opinion also have contained some of the following: coarse bread, sausage/ham, cheese and fresh fruit.
Nice location Too Quite for time of year.
very friendly staff, spacious bathroom, no problems with parking, interesting location hotel staff has very little knowledge of english but that wasn't really a problem
Standard of the room was high Few restaurants in the area. Lanusei is not geared up to tourism yet.
Family-run hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the majority speaking Italian and French. Spacious room with air con, tv + fridge, lovely neutral decor, large ensuite. Parking spaces available. Family also have a fantastic restaurant in town, La Rotunda. Town ideal for escape from tourism.
