I stayed at the hotel with 2 other couples so that I could see that the sizes and the styles of the rooms were different. The prices of the rooms should depend on the sizes of the rooms. I had a small room with a tiny bathroom but I paid the same price than my friend who had a large room. Not really fair...
It was very clean and comfortable and very central.
The hotel was very nice with spacious rooms. The location was a little farther from the water than we had thought, but it was centrally located. The main thing we did not like was that there was no elevator.
The lady who ran the hotel was very nice and spoke some English which was helpful (hardly anyone in restaurants spoke any English at all). She recommended a great restaurant close to the hotel when we requested. We enjoyed breakfast, the long french bread, cheese, cereal, fruit, coffee and juice for eight euro. There was only two very flat pillows on the bed! No computers available for internet access and no receptionist at night.
Friendly helpful staff at desk. Rooms are freshly painted well maintained even though the hotel itself is small and old.
Clean, central, helpful staff.
The general atmosphere of the hotel, ease of car parking/travel around the town and access to the surrounding area
The welcome was friendly, the room comfortable, and the restaurant *excellent*. No
Friendly, family style hotel in town centre with all of the facilities nearby.
We have been here for the second time - very friendly welcome, comfortable & clean rooms, excellent restaurant, value for money, quiet location. no
Good attitudes in reception, good location Poor breakfast
THe rooms were clean and tidy hotel well situated no bar. charge of six euro a day parking bit naughty
Well located, comfortable. A free of charge parking would be appreciated.
Well maintenanced, clean and confortable room. The staff was so helpful and kind. The breakfast was reasonable and full of a variety of materials.
Very nice place. Very comfortable beds. Nice bathroon with excellent shower. Great Breakfast. Wonderful owners. I have zero negative comments to make. Maybe add another hook in the bathroom. That's it!
It was modern, clean and comfortable with a good sized double room and en-suite. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, although a kettle and two cups was provided when we asked with two tea bags. (No milk or coffee)
Loved the bathroom
We stayed at the hotel because it was convienient, we have stayed there 3 times before, the hotel is fine, the staff are friendly. We do not stay for breakfast so I cannot comment on the food. The room was large (112) and had a nice bathroom and shower There wasn't anything to dislike.
Friendly staff, good value, good food, comfortable room
That we had a roof over our heads. Terrible service, and it was in the middle of nowhere.
Very good breakfast buffet and excellent resteraunt No milk sachets (powdered or otherwise) for in room tea/coffee
I had stayed at this hotel before. The staff were kind and helpful.
Very friendly and understanding staff.Went out of their way to help us. n/a
Breakfast was good, Tea and Coffee on the room location is only suitable if you want to sleep there. There is nothing around
nothing Noise, location, price, room furnitures
absolutely nothing if you want to stay on an industrial estate with the only view that of the dock gates and you dont mind articulated lorries passing under your bedroom window from about 3.00am on then this is the place for you, otherwise give it a miss.restaurant very expensive
Much better than it looked at fist sight. Comfortable, clean and excellent food Location within fishing port docks area seemed most unusual, but in fact not a problem. Booking .com's "how to find it "instructions are extremely vague. We spent much time looking and had to rely on outside assistance
The good food at very reasonable prices The location close to the harbour the small room
stuff, cleanless no
Room was clean and lady at the reception was helpful. didn't like the area. Quite alot of noise at night from outside. Room was cramped and very basic..
The hotel was clean and simple. There was a welcoming reception area and the staff were always pleasant and happy to help. Handy secure parking behind the hotel and roadside parking too. It was a short walk to the harbour in Lorient where there were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.
It was clean, nicely decorated and the receptionist was very helpful and spoke English. There was also secure ample parking and it was close to all the amenities within Lorient From the directions given, it was hard to find. The directions were in- adequate and should be more detailed.
Very well located. Staff were nice. Room small and toilet extremely small. The toilet was a major reason for not recommending this hotel.
Free Wifi! Nice host, good location, free guarded parking.
The hotel staff were very friendly, despite my very late arrival at night. Restaurant is ok.
reception very helpfull. no english channels on t,v..bed extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Excellent I.E. as above
The staff were excellent and the room comfortable, we would stay again if in the area.
stayed extra night here only booked 2 nights at first staff were very helpful & welcoming and very kind to us no
The Staff were fantastic, especially Gary on Reception.
This hotel has great charm, being a former family home, and has many old mementoes and furniture which give you the feeling you are staying in a private house. It is set in peaceful grounds and the reception staff are friendly. Lots of Michelin recommended restaurants nearby. On our second night we ate in their small restaurant, and the service was very slow. I have a feeling that all was not well in the kitchen and other staff were covering the kitchen jobs, as the young waiters kept disappearing for ages. Others may have a better experience.
Beautifull ancient castle in the point of brittany. beautifull castle park surroundings in castle settings with chappel. Good receprtion by very helpful staff. Very unclear pricing ! Pricing at booking.com will be surcharged with castle- fee of more than double the booking.com price, which is a devious pricing practice. Rooms are furnished in the authentique castle style, but rather smaller and stuffed with vases etc... than modern comforts requires.
The peace and majesty of this historic establishment, its magnificent gardens, noble trees and wildlife are striking. The members of the staff are devoted to the guests, providing delicious meals, comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities. The deer, the sparrow hawk and the owl fascinate. No
We stayed for leisure purposes although I would say this hotel would be more suited for business purposes.
The staff were very helpful and friendly(family run hotel)the evening meals were excellent quality and superb value.Rooms are basic but spotless, all in all we enjoyed our stay The only minor niggle was soap and shower gel was not replenished but when requested ample was supplied
situated perfect and good food.
It did what it said on the tin (think travel lodgein the UK) Smoking in the bar/lounge/restaurant area (by staff sitting at the bar whilst guests ate breakfast)- but it is in France!
The staff. Easy to find from the main road. The restaurant. There was very little lighting in the room and nowhere to sit apart from the bed. The hotel was obviously very modern when built but now needs some refurbishment.
Port Louis is a gorgeous little French town, right on the sea, with a great castle too. The hotel was just right for us; very comfortable, with everything we needed, but neither pretentious nor expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Shets spotless. Great Value for this hotel.
Basically cannot fault this hotel at all. Very comfortable and clean and a lovely little place.
management were very helpful and extremely pleasant,
Assistance from staff Yes - the fact that there was no mention on the website that parking was free on the streets if you could find it but cost 5 euros for the garage.
Staffs are always friendly and very helpful(This is my second visit). Good location for my purpose(4-5min on foot from railway station, a few min walk to the city center, the hotel's surrounding is nicely quiet). The room is clearn and have all what I need(desk, free WIFI, bathtub).Very good value for money. I don't find anything to complain here. However If I try to find one, it would be the fact that guests cannot control the temperature of heating system. The room wasn't warm enough for me while I am working at the desk after midnight, but I guess it was good temperature for sleeping. I didn't have breakfast so I can't talk about it.
nice place good location will be coming back
Friendly kind.. clean facility... everything is great
Excellent service and cleanliness of the room. NO
charming staff, clealiness of the room, the free internet access
Nice and symphatic staff. Hotel does not book off your credit card if you do not arrive for some reason and are reactive to the remarks made on booking, even send you email to arrange things before arrival ! Parking is not easy in the streets around the hotel.
Very good location, calm, parking in surrounding streets. Nothing special but a reasonable comfort.
Everything was ok. Just ok. Toilet in the room was very small. Budget hotel.
That there is a restaurant which serves until 22h30. Petit dejeuner bon. Rien
everything excellent value, location and facilities very minor negative the toilet is very small no superb place to stay
clean and comfortable and helpful staff. Everything in the room worked and was in good order. too far from rail station to walk, Also the room containing the toilet was far too small.
Very friendly people - new - clean - free internet - cheap noting for that price
Stayed in this hotel in June, not July. My fault on booking. Staff very helpful were able to fit us in! Pleasant enough situation and facilities.
Nothing Only people in hotel only stayed one night although booked for two restraunte was:nt even open
Staff very good and considerate. Breakfast and evening meal very adequate and reasonably priced. Tiny loos.
Very little it was closed for 7 hours when we arrived, and access was only possible by leaving a telephone message taken through a French phone system. We arrived at 1 pm but had to wait in the town until 7 pm to get into hotel
I appreciated the kindness of staff. Very welcoming and willing to help for directions, attractions. Very nice breakfeast as well.
The staff were very helpful, breakfast was good and the hotel is close to many local eating & drinking establishments. The hotel was able to facilitate a family party of 4 children plus nine adults quite well. The travel instructions provided were not really helpful. Without our own sat-nav facility it would have probably proved almost impossible to locate the hotel.
all very good
Clean, simple, fairly basic room- good for our purpose (Rugby World Cup), though not for a romantic getaway. Pleasant, really helpful staff. Central location but not noisy. Excellent value. Very cramped shower/wc room. Door not v soundproof to corridor. No tea/coffee in room but at this price easy enough to get drink sent to room
Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to assist.
Staff were very friendly and helpful a totally enjoyable hotel
Car parking and excellent breakfast. Very central with friendly and helpful staff.Good location for nearby bars and restaurants
breakfast was good, staff very friendly, location very good, all together a very good hotel.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also the central location was great. Nothing.
It was the only available hotel at the time - the Lorient Interceltic festival was on, so all other hotels fully booked!l The price! 140 Euros for a simple triple room with no breakfast.
Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. No wardrobe or drawers in bedroom
Outside terrace beside the beach and sea. Able to have dinner on the terrace. Rooms are a little on the small side - overpriced for size of rooms. No airconditioning.
The location of the hotel is perfect, just by the sea. Views are stunning and the hotel itself matches the environment. Many rooms come with a bathtub, which is a lovely feature in these rougher climates. The restaurant offers modern and fun cuisine with local produce. Luckily, rooms don't have air condition to disturb you! Discounts during off season. Très sympa :) 1. The lounge/living room area is underdevelopped. If you don't want to be in your room, there is really no cozy place to stay and have a drink or some tea, talk and read. 2. Given the rich culinary tradition of the area breakfast choices are quite poor - plastic wrapped hotel cheese and dry baguette, no ham or regional sausage. You wish you had had a chance to go to the market in Larmor Plage and get yourself some local cheese, sausage and jam! 3. While lighting in the rooms is tasteful, soft and useful, bathroom lights are a naked neon tube, apparently catering to those who need to get a good look at themselves! You are trying to relax in the bathtub in what feels like the glare of industrial light fixtures. Quite awful
Very friendly staff. Clean recently decorated hotel. Very small and intimate. Also had an excellent seafood restaurant next door. Perfect! No - everything was lovely
Room was spacious, clean and very well appointed. Lots of tv channels, room light and airy, clean and comfortable beds, bathroom spotless and modern. Lack of air conditioning unit in August meant we had to have the windows open, which resulted in numerous mosquito bites, and constant traffic noise directly outside. Would have been quieter sleeping on the hard shoulder of the M25
we, a family of 4 used the hotel as a stop over on the way down to the south of france, we did not eat here as we were up early to travel. however we found it to be very efficient, lovely friendly staff, clean well kept premises, easy access to major roads when travelling,we had a room for 4 which was great as it was two rooms in one, a double then 2 singles in the other room, great value!!!
pleasant, english speaking staff. huge family room. clean and comfy! would definatly recommend the buffet breakfast.
Good place No lift
the staff were great but you should mention there is no elevator and most rooms are 2 or 3 flights up no elevator
The hotel was handy for the city centre & the local beached
Comfy beds & quiet Nothing!
Very clean, recently renovated, friendly stuff far from the center and beach
WiFi Access and cleanness No Lift
The restaurant. There was a musty smell when we entered the room and it was very small for a family room. There was not adequate lighting. One of the cups left with the tea facilities was dirty. Once all the beds were pulled out there was no floor space and the table disappeared as it folded out into a bed so you were left with only one bedside locker to put anything on! Ridiculous set up.
lack of storage space .Position of kettle could be hazardous if young children were to stay in room as was on a shelf above a bunk bed!
Nothing. There was not even a bus service that ran hourly. Had to walk to get to Lorient festival pushing 4 year old in stroller for one and a half hours. Never again. Hotel located facing motorway and factories, car spray paint fumes in mornings. Bus drivers did not know where it was so got off bus 3 miles away at midnight, very scary. Awful location. No taxi's available ever for festival. D'ful. The hotel was so old. We paid for a room for three and the spare bed was a fold down piece of board that had metal sticking up that could injure children. Privacy was good and breakfast was good.
The staff speaks very good English and is very helpful. The rather compact rooms and no lift/elevator
Extremely friendly and helpful staff A bit noisy with traffic at times
Shabby room, shower cubicle was actually in the bedroom - not in adjoining bathroom
