Pros: Fabulous stay. Host was very welcoming and we felt at home. Our host also ensured we had breakfast before leaving quite early although there was no expectation on our part that she do this. We could not have asked for more. Thank you.
Pros: The cleanlyness, charm and beauty of the place (mansion, rooms, garden, swimming pool), the friendlyness of owners, able to accommodate on bespoke request and the overall location full of terroir and outdoor interest.
Cons: Nothing, it is a brillant place and highly recommended
Pros: Overnight Stay on the way back from holidays in France. Swimming pool in the garden was very welcome in hot August. Family-managed B&B in a beautiful historic house. Friendly reception, good recommendations for dining out, nice french breakfast in the garden with homemade jams. Spacious family room in the attic floor. Very uncomplicated, helpful and charming hosts.
Cons: The old castle nearby is beautiful but there may be "son&lumiere" events in summertime which means lights, loud music and fireworks until late in the night. Attic rooms may get hot in the summer (no Air Conditioning).
Cons: Very clean and very comfortable tasteful place. The host ist very friendly and helpful., speaks fluent English. Is definitely worth to book it again
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous plus we had a lovely evening meal with the family.
Pros: The room was lovely and the breakfast was good. Very pleasantly welcomed when we arrived - a really thoughtful hostess in every way.
Pros: Croissants were out of the p Ordinary. Very friendly hosts.
Pros: The friendly and helpful reception and stay. The pool was a godsend after a long day's drive, and the garden was so pretty, peaceful and relaxing. Lovely house and decor throughout. Very hospitable family and dog friendly too.
Cons: Everything was top quality.

Pros: Nice private hotel with special flair

Pros: Breakfast when you want it. The family that run BnB were so accomdating and welcoming. Lovely setting and perfect escape.
Cons: Our stay was short
Pros: The croissants were lovely. The people were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The bed comfy with lovely views and delightful garden.
Cons: Would have liked more cereal choice and fresh fruit. A fan would have been welcome.
Pros: croissants lovely people lovely and so happy to put themselves out with our requests beautiful place and garden bed very comfy
Cons: A choice of cereals and fruit. We would have welcomed a fan - it was quite hot.
Pros: The owners of the house were excellent hosts. Always smiled. A homely experience. The room overlooked the garden which was impeccably kept.
Cons: Would suggest some dim lighting in the garden at night.
Pros: I had the rosa room witch was so romatic and it had a lot of space . the wieu to the garden was so peacefull. We had a wonderfull friendly welcome. And dinner was so good cooked. We all had a feeling of beeing treated so well, and we wold love to come back to this family again.
Pros: Unfortunately it was a very short stay - just over night, but the staff were very friendly and helpful: I didn't arrive until 9.50pm, which wasn't a problem to them and I was greeted warmly and with a pot of tea. They helped me to plan my onward trip to Wimereux and the picnic lunch they provided was very good. The hotel was clean and pleasant and I would have liked to have spent more time there.
Pros: We used the hotel as a stopover back from the south on the way to Rouen. The hotel was lovely and the owners very friendly and welcoming, happy to deal with any questions and also offering a last minute dinner booking as we had not stopped for food and it was late. We were asked to check out of the room at 10 but were told we could still use the facilities if we wished. Rooms clean, quiet, even on main road, location good for local cafes restaurents etc.
Pros: Central location in village. Friendly welcome. Good evening meal and breakfast

Pros: The owner were very friendly and polite. Room and bathroom were clean. Heard a lot of guests leaving the restaurant with lot of complements about delicious food!! great Location of the hotel: quite but everything in walking distance.
Cons: unfortunately the Wifi in the guestrooms didn't work. Can happen once , but the owner told me, that he doesn't know, when it will work again . As I had to do some work, he offert me,to work in the lobby (nice but not comfortable)
Pros: The hotel is clean and functional although it could do with an update
Pros: Spacious room with sympathetic decor and lighting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good dinner with imaginative cooking.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: The local wine from the Auvergne was pretty good and the starter of the Dinner was good The cook was friendly and even helped with the luggage
Cons: Very unfriendly host, only complaining The bathroom was very outdated and the comfort of the room was poor I wanted to drink the rest of the bottle of wine in my room but had to use a single use glass from the bathroom Never again, there are much nicer properties in town
Located in Lapalisse, Auberge Du Moulin Marin is within a 5-minute drive of Chateau de La Palice and Jardin Public de Lapalisse. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice beds, good breakfast, very nice staff
Pros: Easy to find on edge of countryside. Secure parking and very quiet at night. Modern, well equipped bedrooms, but delightful dining room in the old mill building. Good dinner and breakfast buffet.
Pros: The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and there were two complimentary bottles of water in the room. Private off-street parking.
Cons: I chose this hotel from two similar ones because the restaurant had great reviews. Unfortunately I wasn't notified that it was closed on Friday night until after I had already booked my short-notice/non-refundable room. The room was nothing special, and not as nice as depicted on Booking.com, but it was at least comfortable.
Pros: Friendly and welcoming. Room clean and comfortable. Dinner in restaurant delicious, fabulous cheese trolley! Pretty garden. Lovely dog.
Pros: I have had a very good dinner with a nice regional wine, the service was competent and very friendly and the dining room was nicely decorated as well.
Cons: The condition of the terrace was disappointing. I would have loved to have dinner on the terrace on a very warm summer day it was old, not very clean and with furniture that only allowed a drink and no dinner, but an investment of probably not more than 10k EUR could make a cosy place in front of the mill to enjoy a nice dinner.
Pros: Nice size room with wi fi and so forth
Cons: rather sterile. The room and hotel could have been in any mid size american city. On par with holiday inn
Pros: Friendly staff and lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Good breakfast. Very friendly resident dog but that could be a problem for some people. Good location.
Cons: Rather soulless room looking out on some building work.
Pros: The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. The efficient air- conditioning was especially welcome in the unusual heat of the “canicule” . The restaurant was charming and atmospheric, and the dinner was excellent. Parking was on site. The proprietors were charming and friendly. The location is not as appealing as it could be if a large amount of money was spent on re-developing this old water-mill site. Nonetheless, it is convenient to reach on the edge of the town, and with petrol stations and a supermarket a few minutes drive on the way out to the N7, this makes a convenient and comfortable overnight stop.
Cons: The immediate surrounds of the hotel. Large scale redevelopment of the old mill building itself may be out of the question, but at least the immediate surrounds of the hotel could be tidied up and made more appealing. The young girl on reception had wrongly charged me for 2 breakfasts, and I have subsequently discovered had not charged me at all for bar drinks taken in th afternoon!
Pros: Friendly staff. Food amazing.
Cons: Not the hotels fault but nothing to do around the area. We stayed to go to LE PALL amusement park.
Pros: Nice room and excellent restaurant.
Cons: We wanted to go into our room around 13.00 on the middle day (we stayed for 2 nights). Our keys had been cancelled and there was no one about, so this wasn't possible.
