Marie Fau Calmejane will be happy to give you recommendations so you can enjoy the regional cuisine in Aurillacs lively alleyways. Just a few minutes from the airport, the hotel is ideal for families and for business travellers with clean and functional rooms, free parking and breakfast.
Pros: Really good breakfast and lovely friendly staff. Room very small but perfectly adequate for a one night stay.
Cons: It's on a retail park on the outskirts of the city so it's too far to walk to find city centre restaurants to eat.
Pros: Small rooms but all newly renovated, comfortable, free parking, wifi and aircon.
Pros: The staff nice and friendly. Free parking and easy access. Bed small but comfy
Cons: I chose this hotel over others because it has air conditioning but apparently only HEAT! Rooms are extremely small. Reception not always available. Shower half open so water runs out from it.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Room is quite a bit smaller than expected. No cupboard space for clothes. Would probably not be suitable for longer stays
Pros: Everything was good
Pros: Clean, neat, comfortable, simple
With a stay at Hotel Auréna in Aurillac, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Place du Square and Musee des Volcans. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: breakfast ok. I asked for a triple room in the back of the hotel, because of the traffic on the front. I was told that all these rooms were on the front. But on arrival they gave us a family room with 3 beds in the back , very quiet. The shower was a little small for my husband, but quite the norm. Nice stay!
Cons: I would not llike the rooms with a window opening to the living room downstairs, but at least there is air conditioning
Pros: Very friendly staff, quiet clean and comfortable
Pros: Liked the reception area with many books to read, magazines, toys for the children and the breakfast area to one side.
Cons: The pillows were a little small and too soft..
Pros: Very welcoming friendly staff, a bit far from the center but most of the city’s hotels are also. In the evening you can get a discount at a local restaurant specializing in Auvergne food.
Located in Aurillac, Hotel Campanile Aurillac is a 4-minute drive from Place du Square and 5 minutes from Musee des Volcans. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: To cold to go anywhere much but sat back and relaxed. Staff very good and a nice breakfast,
Cons: Campanile always place the electric plug sockets far away from the actual beds, not good for people with sleep apnoea machines.
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were fine. We had hoped to dine in Aurillac but the walk was too far.
Cons: I had to pay up front (including breakfast!) in spite of the hotel having my card details. The room was old-fashioned and tired. Anyone less mobile than myself would struggle to get in and out of the bath. There were no cups or biscuits. The a/c took a lot of effort (after much complaining) to work. We are used to the Campanile in Clermont-Ferrand and are always delighted with everything, so this was very disappointing to see the brand being let down. I have tried to contact Campanile directly to take up some of my concerns, but the only way to achieve this is to telephone France which will prove expensive, so I need to resort to this review.
Pros: The kids loved the buffet breakfast although I think it was expensive for what we actually had. Also the beds were very comfortable and the rooms quite spacious. We paid over the odds for the rooms as was in town specifically for a festival, i imagine the prices would not be so high the rest of the year and therefore probably better value for money.
Cons: All felt a bit rough and ready
7.9 Good (516 reviews)
See hotel page Succumb to the charm of The Originals Boutique, Grand Hotel Saint-Pierre. This beautiful 3-star establishment, run by Jrme Lavergne, is right in the centre of Aurillac. It has 47 comfortable rooms, renowned food, functional and welcoming seminar rooms, a spa that invites you for relaxation, and welcoming interiors with this beautiful old wood panelling.
Cons: The room - booked a twin, and were given a double - with the extractor from the Brasserie kitchen right outside our window. We were told it would stop at about 2200, but in the event it went on until 2330 - so we could not open the window until then, even tho our room lacked aircon. Staff pleasant enough, and breakfast OK.
Pros: Close to the main center of aurillac
Cons: Had to pay more than quoted
Pros: Location, great staff. Beautiful room. Private parking.
Cons: Mice in the ceiling making noise all night. Got told it was the aircon but no way. No remote control in one of the rooms we had and some TV Channels not working.
Pros: We choose this location because it offered the things we're most interested in while we travel Europe. Good location, secure parking and WiFi. The hostess that greeted us was very pleasant and spoke good English, which it a nice plus! The room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was most assuredly a step above with hot scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon along with the normal continental breakfast foods.
Cons: I had almost zero Wi-Fi in my room...this is a major problem as I need the internet to conduct my affairs while I travel Europe. I did complain, but the young lady could offer no help and would not contact the manager to see if he could help. Even though I could not even open my email, I managed to make it through the night. The toilet was NOT clean. Once again I asked for the manager in the morning but the two non-English hostesses could not seem to help me. I won't be staying here again. No first world country should neglect paying for decent Wi-Fi for it's customers at the rate we were charged. I had better internet in third world countries! I've stayed in 300 European hotels in the last two years...A little bit of attention by the management might get this place the ranking it deserves!
Cons: Breakfast was expensive but good quality
The Hotel ibis Aurillac is located at the gateway to the city of Aurillac with the old town easily accessible by foot in just a few minutes. The hotel offers 49 comfortable rooms with free private car park, 24-hour bar and a meeting area.
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived by the woman on reception. We were very tired and we were offered a drink of cold water, what was available in the restaurant to eat was explained clearly. The hotel was in a good position for accessing the Street Theatre Festival, near a river walk into the town centre.
Pros: Ibis is Ibis — it is a typical hotel. It is clean and convenient, rather small one.
Cons: It is not in the center — sometimes it is advantage, sometimes not..:) I had to walk to the festival area and back two times daily, so it was not easy...
Pros: Comfy beds. Nice breakfast
Cons: Small rooms. No elevator.

Pros: Lovely room, very good breakfasts- obliging with gluten free bread.
Cons: Room too hot at night for sleeping and not possible to control temperature
Pros: The easy parking and friendly reception. Close to restaurants and old town.
Cons: Shower over the bath. No shower cap.
Pros: Location excellent, short walk to the old town and lots of decent bars and restaurants. Private garage, which I liked. Room comfortable and decent size. Staff friendly an helpful.
Cons: One minor niggle was that the Wi-Fi insisted on us logging in each time we used it.
Pros: Lovely clean and well kept hotel. Great location with a superb restaurant across the street. Breakfast was plentiful with good selection
Pros: Very nice staff, location was great (accessibility and tranquility), superb decoration, beautiful ceilings and chandeliers in the bar!
Cons: nothing, it was a pleasant experience all around.
With a stay at Le Renaissance in Aurillac, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Place du Square and 8 minutes by foot from Musee des Volcans. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel was right in the centre of town. It was pleasantly decorated and the bedroom was clean and modern. The buffet breakfast included a good selection of products. The garage was very handy.
Cons: It was quite hot during our visit so we needed to have the windows open. This meant that traffic noise was quite loud.
Pros: Breakfast was fine. Centrally located hotel. Free parking available on nearby streets.
Pros: Location, morning breakfast, cleaned room
Cons: Quality of mattress, evening diner
Pros: Very nice staff. Good breakfast and we had our evening meal in the restaurant which was very nice and good value.
Pros: Clean, friendly staff and good location. Value for money.
Cons: The room was a bit small but manageable for a short stay for a solo traveller..
Pros: Comfortable spacious rooms bang in the centre of town. Nice restaurant inside and on the terrace with a tasty and good value set menu.
Pros: Friendly staff and a good restaurant.
Cons: The rooms were very small.

Pros: Cheap & easy checkin
Pros: Very nice & big room. An exceptionally comfortable bed. A very good staff, taking care of guests' comfort (fresh towels, etc.). Clean, large bathroom. In general, we are very pleasantly surprised by the quality-price ratio, we really recommend it!
Cons: The room was really needing some love and attention.
Pros: Good room, reasonable walk to town centre (Needed the exercise!).Just off major road junction. Breakfast is on a pay at the time basis so in the event having had an excellent nights sleep but being wide awake by 0600 and a little concerned about how far I needed to drive that day got up and left early but absolutely not because of any dissatisfaction! Will stay again if I visit Aurillac!
Pros: Great for an overnight stop
Pros: The bed was above average comfortable Very convenient free parking
Cons: The lift was out of order and when like me you have problems walking, mos inconvenient. Evening meal was not much cop.
Pros: Good location for a 1 night stop over. Location quieter than expected. Room spacious and well maintained.
Cons: The mattress was excellent, but the pillows were sub-standard. You may need to ask in reception for more!
Pros: The room was comfortable and not expensive.
Cons: It was a bit of a long walk to get there.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: The welcome was the friendliest even though we were late (and had mistaken the day we were booked for!!!) The Room was beautiful. The food was outstanding. It was excellent having secure off street parking. The staff made this stay exceptional - we’d thoroughly recommend. Thankyou x
Pros: Great location, friendly staff and wonderful dining environment inside and with two terraces to choose from outside
Pros: We loved this hotel! Everything was top-notch and the restaurant fabulous. Room was snug but top quality and hotel is right in the centre of Aurillac. We would definitely recommend the Hotel des Carmes to friends and associates heading to Aurillac - highly.
Pros: Great restaurant
Cons: Rooms were ok. Not great. Comfy beds though.
When you stay at Hôtel La Rivière in Entraygues-sur-Truyere, you'll be on the riverwalk and within a 5-minute drive of Notre Dame Bridge. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and an elevator.
Pros: Location, friendly staff, secure space for bike
Cons: More savoury options for breakfast
Pros: Super helpful staff; great location and ambience.
Cons: Our room was under the dining room and whilst it was very spacious and clean with good facilities, it was noisy - with heavy traffic noise from main road and also from the dining room above.
Pros: The woman who greeted us on arrival, was helpful with a great attitude. She willingly changed our rooms for us to better rooms. The gentleman at reception who I met the next morning, was also helpful and keen to assist. The bathrooms were quite good.
Cons: The swimming pool was empty even though the summer season has started. The rooms we were taken to initially had wallpaper peeling off the walls in the one room, and the other room had a peculiar smell. The wifi wasn't working and nor was the heating.
Pros: We had one meal in the restaurant which was very nice but perhaps over priced
Cons: Our ground floor terrace door did not lock. We asked staff about this and got the impression it had been like that for a long while
A stay at le square places you in the heart of Aurillac, steps from Place du Square and 8 minutes by foot from Musee des Volcans. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and an elevator.
Pros: At our arrival, we met a lovely lady who gave us the keys. I requested not to be disturb in the morning and if it was possible for the cleaner to clean the room on our departure (after 3 nights) which was respected. The cleaner was very pleasant too. It rated 8.3 but would rate it to 9.5 ;-)
Pros: Good location. Nice room. Good shower. Clean. Quiet room, despite hotel fronting busy area.
Cons: Information regarding parking and check in needs to be clearer. The car park is the underground one on the busy road at the front of the hotel (€7.70 for the 19 hours we parked). Nobody on reception the whole time we were there. Checked in via Hotel Renaissance next door, very pleasant man.
Pros: friendly people
Pros: I liked how comfortable the bed was. And how clean the room was.
Cons: There was no TV remote when I arrived in the room. I couldn't turn on the heating.
When you stay at Hotel Les Provinciales in Arpajon-sur-Cere, you'll be near the airport and 13 minutes by car from Place du Square. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice staff. Comfortable bed.

Located in Aurillac, Hotel La Thomasse is within a 5-minute drive of Musee des Volcans and Place du Square. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice place, friendly reception, nicely decorated and clean room, private parking
Cons: "Didn't like" is over stating it, toilet and bathroom (separate which is a good thing) are somewhat dated.
Pros: What a fantastic property! The rooms were pretty, clean and very comfortable. The mattress and pillows were just right. There was secure parking, a nice pool and fantastic breakfast. The staff were very friendly and informative. We were just a stones throw from the fireworks for the national holiday. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast, quiet
Cons: Not in the center
Pros: Beautiful hotel, we assumed a converted old house, not a corporate hotel at all. The staff were so helpful and kind. Would have been fantastic if it had had a restaurant as it was a long walk into the centre of town. But we ended up buying a picnic and eating it in the lovely grounds.
Pros: Lovely hotel.. Friendly staff.. Great location.
Pros: Staff are amazing, so helpful and very professional. Room and bed very comfortable. Quiet street. Convenient parking. We didn't use the pool or garden only due to being in the area for a short stay. Breakfast was excellent in choice and food quality as well as the efficiency of the staff ensuring there were constant supplies of coffee etc.
Cons: This was such a fast hotel it seems picky to find any negatives.. For dinner to be possible and perhaps to include breakfast in the price? Also a fridge would be useful in the room.
When you stay at Château de Salles in Vezac, you'll be next to a golf course and 14 minutes by car from Place du Square. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This is really like a fairy-tale castle, and is located on a beautiful hillside. The staff were really friendly; I let slip that it was my wife's birthday - and at the end of the dinner we had 'in-house', our hosts very kindly and unexpectedly presented us with a freshly baked birthday cake!
Cons: The castle is quite a way out of Aurillac, and would be difficult to access without a car.
Pros: So nice to stay in a place of character, with real people who were more than helpful.
Pros: Very courteous manager, the hotel was empty and he pretty much did everything but very well.
Pros: Staff and food were good but the hotel was tired and poorly maintained. Would not go back.
Cons: Room was dirty ( dead flies on stained carpet). Extremely cold room with inadequate heater. Kettle didn’t work. Showers screen broken and dirty, .....,,,,,,,,,,,,
Pros: The location was lovely. It was very quiet and peaceful.
Cons: When I made my booking I stated I was gluten and lactose intolerant. There was hardly anything on the breakfast table I could eat. I therefore only had breakfast once. The light fittings in the bedroom had cobwebs on it and there was a dead spider on the wall.
Pros: It had beautiful views over the mountains in all directions. Lovely swimming pool, and fine receptions room, and plenty of space to eat all meals outside. Only a single menu, but the food was very good, and reasonable.
Cons: Hardly anybody else was staying, which had advantages, but it felt a bit odd. Nowhere in the shower to put anything.
Located in the charming village of Florentin-la-Capelle, Le Florentin features a restaurant, a seasonal swimming pool in its garden and a large terrace. You can rest on the deckchairs or have a drink at the bar. The rooms offer a desk and Wi-Fi access, available at an additional cost. The restaurant on site offers traditional meals in a coulourful dining room. Activites such as hiking, riding or playing tennis are possible within 20 km. Rodez Train Station is 55 km away. The city of Aurillac and its airport are just 60 km from the hotel.
Pros: Comfortable and clean room. The hostess was busy (with the restaurant) but helpful, providing us with a portable heater when we mentioned the room was a little cold. Good parking area next to the hotel.
Cons: Not easy to find - our satnav took us on a lengthy tour of the very extensive local woodland tracks and trails before it finally delivered us to our destination. Pleasant but isolated village - no shops or other bars/restaurants for miles.
Pros: a small, very nice hotel in a tiny village up in the hills above the Lot river valley, we really liked the fact that it was further away from the main road, especially having everything on the spot (e.g. a nice restaurant, a swimming pool, possiblity to play mini golf and ping-pong - free of charge for hotel guests), nice rooms furnished with Italian design, very nice towels and bathroom, worth recommending!!! our room had a small kitchenette which was an additional bonus
Cons: everything was really good!
Pros: Fantastic room, the owners made us feel really. And we would highly recommend the restaurant.
Pros: Very quiet and relaxing. The pool was a fantastic addition. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming. It won't be long before we call again!
Pros: Clean and friendly and the food was good
Cons: Wonderful location, we loved it
Pros: Very welcoming staff. Very clean and good food!
Cons: Breakfast with lots of plastic packages

Pros: Very friendly and helpful hosts, very large room, nice breakfast
Pros: The hosts (Nicole and Eric), the atmosphere, the simplicity, the history of the Chateau, the environment and the copious breakfast! Truly a great experience and would go there again any day. Thank you too for recommending Les Quatre Saisons where we had the best meal ever.
Cons: No complaints at all!
Pros: The place is charming with all the original typre of furniture and fittings. Very well maintained by the owner who was very helpful and polite.

Pros: The warm welcome Nicely decorated Very good breakfast
Cons: A light around the mirror would be appreciated in the bathroom A magnifying mirror even small would be also appreciated..
Pros: Lovely building, beautiful location, super host, good breakfast, room very large.
Cons: No restaurants open in Aurillac on Monday night. Disappointing town.
When you stay at Le Petit Chou in Entraygues-sur-Truyere, you'll be 12 minutes by foot from Notre Dame Bridge. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: The rooms are very nicely decorated. Having breakfast at the terrace was also very nice. The place is very quiet at night. Finally, I highly recommend the associated restaurant for dinner.
Pros: It has to be the best property I have stayed in
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: The room was lovely and the shower great.
Cons: It was ok.
Pros: Beautiful room very tastefully decorated with a nice modern ensuite. Pleasant view over the market square. Breakfast was above average for France. The restaurant was really excellent, small choice of dishes but really well cooked and excellently presented complemented with attentive service from the owner. Pre booking is recommended as limited number of tables.
Pros: Everything about this cute hotel is nice.
Cons: The owners or workers, not sure which are really not friendly. We took the whole place and their attitude is off-putting. Its not intentional, but they seem as if they really do not like tourists nor their job.
Pros: Second time we have stopped here and it was just as good as the first time. Lovely room, nice and clean. Breakfast was above average for France. Nice tearoom downstairs and great restaurant next door.
Pros: Wonderful quirky room crammed with antiques and interesting old bits and pieces, but all mod cons as well,to make for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was wonderful with a fantastic range of teas and was served in the quaint tea shop. I would highly recommend le petit Chou if you’re looking for somewhere that little bit special!
Cons: The initial welcome! But the owner/staff were more helpful the following morning!
Pros: Beautifully renovated with such attention to detail. Lovely comfortable bed with gorgeous bed linen. And delicious complimentary teas from the shop downstairs.
Pros: A really beautifully appointed room which, on our off-season stay , was offered at a very good price with a very good breakfast included. We appreciated to choices offered at breakfast and found the central square location good for parking.
You'll be centrally located in Entraygues-sur-Truyere with a stay at Hôtel du Centre, and 12 minutes by foot from Notre Dame Bridge. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location whilst visiting friends
Cons: Breakfast was very disappointing, only a choice croissant or bread. No nobody appeared to be tasked with taking care of guests during breakfast. Only net curtains , so nothing to darken the room from street lights. Location on Main Street so traffic noise late night & early morning. Room colours very dated, requires decorating.
Pros: Clean and comfy bed. Nice location on the Market Square.
Cons: Basic but fine.
Pros: The owner way of greeting customers. The location in the village The space in the bedroom
Cons: No lift
Pros: Cheap and cheerful. OK staff. No pretensions to quality. The business I had to transact went more smoothly than anticipated, so I cancelled the second night of my booking. There were no quibbles from the hotel.
Cons: Room was only just acceptable, no drink station in the room, poor quality furnishings. You get what you pay for.

Pros: Basic but clean and comfortable. OK for a night.
Cons: All fine

Pros: The food was excellent.
Cons: Breakfast totally inadequate for money
