The hotel lobby was renovated with a modern look plus can't beat the price. The room was decent, it had all the necessary amenities that you would need for any hotel. Overall, a nice hotel that provides all the basic things needed without having to overpay. The bathroom definitely needs an upgrade. And, also, adding more gambling tables (i.e. Craps, Poker) to the casino would be a bonus.
Was great for the price. Enjoyed the stay. Most everything was as expected. Room was too noisy. More so than any other hotel I've stayed at in Vegas. Could hear the people in the next room very clearly.
we were supposed to get a nonsmoking room but they gave us a room which you could easily smell the left over smoke inside. it took them 2 hours to change our room after more than 10 times us calling the front desk. the bathtub was full of hair. I had to go get the cleaning lady and come clean it again. terrible experience overall. they do no care about the customer experience because these companies are too big to care about individual people. I will NEVER put my foot in Tropicana "hotel" and I would recommend everyone boycotts these hotels with low quality service.
I do not like the resort fee. The hotel was very good.
Well as soon as I walked in the door I was hit with an $84 resort fee, not really the properties fault because that's the way entire industry is moving but still it's annoying when you think that you have already paid in full. The casino had lower minimums, but it wasn't exactly a place I wanted to stay and gamble for a while. The room seemed sufficiently clean. We were placed in a smoking room on our first night despite having requested a non-smoking room, when we brought this to the attention of the check in host - they stated that it is a request, and not a guarantee that we would get a non-smoking room... we went up to put our bags in the room, and were repulsed by the disgusting smell. We went to the front desk again and explain that we would have a difficult time staying in the room with the intense disgusting odor, but the host seem to laugh it off and told us to smoke marijuana in the room now that it is legal in nevada. This was not an appropriate response in my opinion, however there was nothing we could do unless we wanted to sleep on the Las Vegas strip!
The room, the price, the casino, and the staff I had to leave early
The casino employees and front desk people were nice The whole hallway smelt horrible. Out of Date rooms. Room got cleaned once out of 3 days
the room was great and house keeping was very accommodating. i appreciate that valet was complimentary the only thing i would say is i felt like we were forced to upgrade because the front desk rep made our original room sound horrible. i get that they want to get upgrade for sales purposes but i shouldn't feel like my room was going to be horrible.
I like that its more quiet than the casinos on the strip. We have a toddler and it seemed like a good option given the location. Not a place for someone who likes to gamble to stay. The casino is tiny and the sports book was a joke. Very limited dining options. The rooms in the club tower were so humid it was unbearable. It was on the 60's when we were there. No matter how low you set the thermostat, it still felt humid. Maid said the club tower is like that this time of year.

I liked the hotel. It was a great value! Kayak advertised the resort fee as "optional." It was Not!
Location is more around the local areas. Swimming pool was average. Needs more amenities.

the room was excellent the staff was excellent the complete resort was excellent the poolsite was perfect the inside restaurants the walk through the casino I get lost, the first time I made a walk through the hotel
Nice room spa bathtub and separate shower. The heat in the toilet area was inadequate. The iron in the room did not work. The grounds of the resort are very well kept. The New Year's Celebration was not very lively nor organized. There could have been more and better free entertainment. The bars are dated and not very appealing given the reputation of the Marriott corporation. I am a frequent guest at the Marriott properties and I was disappointed.
Location is perfect. Room was clean. Cleaning Lady didn't steal, did a great job. Ladies walking the Casino floor were VERY helpful and fun, directing me to the fun games and being enjoyable to speak with. Broke the toilet handle, couldn't flush without some work. Broke the shower handle, couldn't turn off the water without lots of struggle. Casino is aged. Construction. Lady working the lobby was not easy to speak with, not really a fun person, you could tell she was tired of being there.
Everything else. The bathroom sink overflowed from malfunctions.
Outstanding staff and customer service. Clean, comfortable rooms. Perfect location on the Strip without the price of a luxury strip casino. The little casino was and food options were good too! One suggestion - Don't book a room on the south side of the hotel unless you want to see and hear the trash compactor at work early in the morning at a neighboring hotel.
The rooms were nice, had a fridge, a safe, a nice tv, etc. There is construction and you have to park in back. This wouldn't be a big deal if there was a taxi circle- which there isn't. We asked the staff to have a taxi waiting for us at a particular time, and after waiting 10 minutes, we decided to walk to a different hotel to get the taxi. If they aren't going to have a good way to get into the hotel- they need to do a better job ensuring people can get taxis to go where they need to be.
The hotel was great, a little smaller than the other hotel's on the strip but this hotel has reasonable food options and is accesssible to the strip right across the street from the Mirage. You couldn't find the hotel parking area. Need better signs or directions to get to the parking lot.
Location, small feeling of old vegas! Hard to get a cab around back
Lobby hasn't been updated in years but rooms are comfortable and clean. Walk to rooms is much better then larger hotels. Could use a update on gaming and food area. Color scheme has been same for years.
I enjoyed the location of the Casino Royal. It was perfectly situated to all the major hotels. I was able to easily get to a couple of the larger hotels where my convention was being held. I also enjoyed the fact that an Outback Steakhouse restaurant was attached, and a Ben and Jerrys. The Outback Steakhouse provide a great menu and atmosphere for dining. The room was very nice though small. However, it provided all that I needed to enjoy my stay: a fridge, keurig coffee/tea maker, counter space, desk etc. It was very clean too. Since I am not a smoker, having to navigate the casino to get to the rooms made it a bit challenging with all the cigarette smoke. Other than that all was good.
Everything was great I wish I had a fridge!
Had a lot of good value Was in a less than stellar area
Found a great "private deal" on kayak that was only $50 for a night. Deal was legit and they didn't try to get me with hidden stuff - well no more than everyone else at least. Though not on the strip they have a free shuttle to he strip every half hour. Movie theater and pool were nice to have. $17 "resort fee" each day to access he wifi and things like that kinda run me the wrong way. Could add up after a few days.
That we really didn't need to leave the hotel! That the pool closed so early (6pm).
it was a very quiet hotel except our room was located above the delivery dock so first thing in the morning we were woke up with back up alarms. Really good location if not wanting to stay on the strip. The buffet was priced appropriately - you get what you pay for, The live band was awesome on Friday evening. The big screen in the bar area was super awesome for football Sunday.
I booked from Kayak and there shouldn't have extra fee. But this hotel told me that I need to pay for the hotel fee (which is an extra charge). But I have already paid a "hotel fee" when I booked this hotel. The staff didn't give me a good explanation and just told me that these two hotel fee are not the same (for me, IT IS THE SAME. THEY WERE HOTEL FEE). The hotel fee I paid on Kayak is only for Kayak not for the hotel so I need to pay them hotel fee. I would never choose this one again.
Room size Nothing
Loved the great atmosphere! Rooms are great .
The location was close enough to the Strip that there was easy access but removed enough so there was no constant distraction or disruption. I wish the fitness center was 24 hours.
Stay was great one thing beds were a little hard
We thought The casino was cleaner then we remembered. The shower drain was slow, leaves you standing in dirty water. Some of the detail work, like caulking done sloppy, needs to be redone.
Smoker on the casino floor. Wife has asthma.
The service was well above average, the front desk staff, the bell staff included. My wife was impressed with the squeaky clean bathroom.
situated away from madness and sensory overload of the strip made it a great place to unwind. Buses, "deuce" best to catch and bus stop out front and return across the road. Room size great and full kitchen fabulous for a family of 4. Great, huge comfy bed and sofa bed in lounge area were lovely. The pool area was lovely with plenty of room for everyone. Would certainly recommend it to anyone and return. Food place was ordinary and overpriced
Free wifi was good, also free use of gym, size of room The only real problem we had was, we felt it was a bit fair up the strip. Was about 10 min walk to all the big casino's
No casino, no smoking and quiet room with a pleasant staff.
The kitchenette was good in the room. The parking fee $8 :-((
My second time staying here. The 1st time wasn't bad but then again I had a suite. This second time was horrible. Staff was rude. And they messed up our room check in. We had to change rooms. They over charged. And the room was so gross! The couch looked like it belonged in a horror movie! Everything!
The parking was low stress, and so convenient. Staying where the show was made it nice. The late checkin was frustrating. We had to pay extre to check in befor 4 pm
There were some internet issues which took a few minutes to resolve.
i like the excellent location ... the room was nice bat very noise you can hire noise from the ac.. extractor outside maybe on the roof it was a in comfort night for next day of work.......
Good location on the Vegas strip. Not clean!!! Floor was not vacuumed! Found a gummy bear, corn nut, and a water bottle right next to the bed. A bag of toiletries not even put out and an almost empty toilet paper role greeted us in the bathroom and a dirty old bar of soap with a smelly, yellow stained shower curtain put the anti-cleanliness over the top! Gross!!!! I did not trust the bedding after seeing how disgusting the rest of the place was. Don't stay here! Way too expensive for the terrible disregard to normal cleanliness you would expect at a hotel!
They had a Starbucks. Rooms were run down and smelly. Beds were terribly old and cheap. The bathrooms looked like that haven't been upgraded in over 20 years. The room looked like a homeless shelter to be honest.
I liked the rate and that we could sign up to be a member to waive the check in fee. We were on a floor that was partially renovated and since we didn't want to have to pay more when we checked in for an upgraded room, we had to walk through the newly renovated areas to make it to our old and dingy hallway. We also had a room looking over the loading area and it was really noisy during the night. Also the high pressure to do the Wyndham time share presentation. The pool was not very big and most of the seating around the pool you had to pay for. The pool also didn't get much sun and closed early. The shower head in our room was stuck on one setting and was super high pressure.
The location is great. The bed was very good. Nice room. Slippery shower floor.
Free parking Rooms need an update. Furniture frim the 80's as well as carpet an elevators. Very outdated overall
Loved the room. The price was great and easy axcess to things on the strip Pool closes too early
Clean room Not clear about booking a King room online and getting tot he hotel saying that we will be in a queen room. Shady business.
We had a great suite with many extras that made our stay very comfortable! The efficient staff were quite helpful with all our needs. And the special rate was hard to beat..
A hotels reputation can made or broken by its staff, this Hotels staff definitely compliment this hotel and make you feel that whatever your need is then they will try and accommodate and go that extra yard to ensure your stay goes smoothly. I'm really struggling to find anything to fault this hotel and its staff.
Room facilities Swimming pool close to earlier Bathroom inside main room
- Friendly and helpful staff. - Clean, spacious, comfortable - Full kitchen - Convenient location - Pool and barbeque - More like a condo...less like a hotel - Relatively quiet and family friendly
the room was spacious and everything was so cleam my only complaint was that I didn't receive my wakeup call as requested
Off strip but walkable, closer to airport than others, free parking since more hotels are charging by the hour, quiet due to less drunks, spacious with kitchen for left overs and balcony to sit in sun, friendly and accomodating staff because I like the same room!
No parking or resort fees. safe and friendly workers. slow checkout.need to update room carpets.
Clean rooms with full kitchens. Noisy
This appears to be a new property primarily set up for a 'time share' type of arrangement. However it is also a hotel. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The rooms were real suites with bedroom, living room and full kitchens. My room was very clean and well maintained. The hotel's public rooms were the same. The complimentary breakfast was better than the normal found at other hotels. The "Manager's Reception" each afternoon was a nice touch with complimentary wine, beer and snacks. A nice, quiet and very affordable place to stay. Only downside is that it is a bit off the downtown area of LV. However cabs are plentiful and the crowds were scare there. There were absolutely no negative parts of my two night stay.
It was very quite and just a short walk from the strip, this was the last night of a three week stay in south west america.
Excelent resort. Like staying at home. Don't have any
We did appreciate complimentary breakfast and the WiFi. The noise from the unit above us was disturbing, perhaps refurbishing?
The security staff was rude the casino smells like sewer
Rooms were updated recently. Nice. Comfortable beds.
Its was inexpensive for being so near the strip, cheap drinks and gaming. Free parking. Cheap remodel, old bathrooms, sparce rooms, thin walls, there were boogers smeared on the elevator walls that stayed there for days. No refrigerators in the bedroom.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I stayed 2 times in 2 weeks as I flew through Las Vegas and a couple of the staff greeted me and remembered my first visit. For the Rate I wasn't expecting much but the rooms were clean and spacious In the 2nd room the Faucets needed some TLC to function better.
Stayed there just one night and didn't gamble there so I can't comment on the casino. Was given room 208 in the Bayview tower. Door to the room doesn't swing open all the way cause it rubs on the uneven floors and it is paper thin cause you can hear conversation from other guests in the hallway. Beds, sink, and toilet were clean but everything else can use an update. The tub, bathroom floor, and carpets especially were gross. The view from the window highlights trash that has accumulated on the roof. Perhaps they can use some of the resort fee to pay someone to do some cleaning up there? BEWARE...Kayak claims the resort fee is $15 but I was charged $25. For an extra $10 I would have stayed at a nicer comparable hotel. I doubt I will stay there again.
What you'd expect when staying at a Hooters, not exceptional but also not awful. Maid service does a good job, though there's only so many times you can vaccuum a carpet before you need to replace it, similar issues with grouting in the bathroom. No leftover hairs from previous guests, didn't feel a need to use my own sheets. Couldn't open the shades on the window because people would have been able to see in from the parking lot, windows did not lock. Additionally, one of the lights decorating the outside of the building was placed directly in front of the room, meaning opening the shades filled the room with red light, an experience not uncommon at hotels in Vegas. Room has a small table and chairs in it as well as a dresser with 3 large drawers in it. Asked for a robe and was told "we don't do that." The only really uncomfortable part of my stay was walking through the smokey casino every time I wanted to get to my room. There is no way around it, unfortunately. Also, Hooters as well as all other hotels on the strip charges a "resort fee" though unlike some of the other hotels on the strip, Hooters did not seem to offer any more amenities to make the resort fee plausible. Clientele is primarily middle aged single men or young people staying there because it's the cheapest option on the strip. If I was to do it over, I'd pay the $10 a night and stay at Excalibur.
The room set up. Once turning out the light to the bathroom, the room is dark. Trying to feel my way to the bed, there' a cubby set up. Dangerous for those who have been drinking and watch out, that space you feel is not the bed and be careful not to end up banging your forehead on the wall. If you do what I did, you're in the ER and not back to your hotel for at least 4 hours.
Nothing A receptionist woman was so rude. She talked like we don't have money while we asked for higher floor (20$ dollar plus) She talked like yelling to someone she doesn't like. If she doesn't like service job she should quit! I was in Vegas so many time and I ve never think to stay this hotel before! We had an emergency to stay this hotel only a night! 5 hours and I would like to stay higher floors in every hotel. When I asked for higher no hotel say you have to pay extra for higher!!!!! So bad experiences. First time and last time. Waste money!
The cleaning staff was very nice and the room we stayed in was freshly painted. The plumbing was very bad. The shower water would not stay at the same temp it would turn very hot then really cold every time. Plus the shower head was places below my nose level and I am 5ft 2". It was very disappointing that the sink had scratches and stains in it and the dj from the pool would blast the music so loud the windows vibrated. I picked hooters because it had good reviews but I was disappointed. The casino spelled like sewage because outside the hotel they must of had a back up problem and the hotel had the doors open to the pool area. Sadly we did not spend much time at the hotel for these reasons.
The price was good. Can't really complain about that. House keeping did a really good job cleaning our room. All the of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Having Hooters wings at arms reach was nice too. The location is good for fairly easy strip access. This place needs renovating badly! I get it's Hooters and they pride themselves on being delightfully tacky. But this wasn't tacky. It is old and, frankly, dingy. Especially next to the renovated tropicana. It's sadly stuck in the 80's. The room had an old big box 27 inch tv. The bed had us begging for our chiropractors and massage therapists. The carpets are vacuumed, but God knows when they were last cleaned. Its annoying that they have no business center. Also if your gonna be Hooters, it's sad when Twin Peaks restaurant up the streetcar greatly outclasses you on what you....umm "Market".
Loved the gaming, food was very good, staff was great! Some limited staff in restaurant, eliminated that due to long wait on a Tuesday!!
The room was spacious and having everything available was a plus (eating utentsils, pots/pans, dishes, washer/dryer, etc) No onsite restaurant, although, there is a menu to order from an online location. Also, construction took away from the beauty a little bit...
It has all of the amenities of home. The work out facility was very small.
near from convention center check in center can not access handicaper
Easy in and out of your hotel. The kitchen was wonderful since I was there for a wedding and I made the wedding cake which we then served in the hall and was very nice.
I loved that the pool was opened 24 hrs check out time is way to early for Vegas
the full kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave small bed, torn and uncomfortable sofa sleeper
Seems to be well designed and in a good location Nice to have a reasonably priced 'resort' near a convention center [Sands] - Distance from lobby to rooms is rough without use of the cart - Lack of elevators is a serious impediment
close to the strip hot water did not work, took two hours for maintenance to show up. only two of the five pools were open. dirt in the tub and shower. unfriendly staff who were actually bad mouthing my wife right in front of us upon check-in.
the most that i liked was the peacefulness, first of all the beds were so comfy the room was equipped with all the things you need such as utensils for cooking, toiletries and towels!, there was extra of everything. no need to call room service for anything. my friends, husband and i enjoyed every minute of it..will make sure the kids come next year.<3 carpet needed some cleaning.
it was a clean, comfortable, and relaxing. it had all the necessities. the price was right and the space was very accomodating for a family - but romantic enough for a couples. Loved it! i didn't like that there wasn't an elevator. we stayed on the third floor which was awesome for views and not having anyone above us - but carrying all of our luggage up and down the stairs wasn't too fun.
Everyone in the family enjoyed Sams. Lots of different activities and food options. Easy parking and access. Great value.
Sam's Town is a well maintained casino with friendly atmosphere that doesn't overwhelm you like other casinos. A great value with nice rooms.
Our first stay at Sam' S Town was a very good experience. The atmosphere of friendliness, comfortable surrounding and the family oriented setting will bring us back to this hotel.
The food was very reasonably priced, employee's were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and neat. Atmosphere was great, good music, roulette tables were fun. Movie convenience. We were there for 4 days and did not get bored. We had a great time. I can't think of anything I didn't like.
Stay was very nice.Front desk very helpful. No issues !
we appreciated the overall atmosphere, things to do besides gamble... we played bingo with the "electronic"boards for the first time and it was fun... when we arrived home we realized we had left some "laundry" in a drawer in the room (516)... our son was able to pick it up before he left on Sunday (he was also a guest as well on Friday night). We have stayed here before over the years with our kids and mother. The bowling alley was nice, and the movie theater and pool when it is hot out. The last time we stayed here, in Jan of 2012 ,(my birthday is Jan 6th) we reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds, and my husband and I were upgraded to a suite, with a "walk-in bathtub"... this time we were upgraded to a king room, but it was not as large as last time, but it was nice. The price was reasonable back then. This time the price was very high.... The price of the room... in the past we have stayed here as a family friendly choice..and the price was good. I did book the room in Dec, as I had to wait to find out what vacation days I could use in Jan... (my birthday is Jan 6th) I would have booked sooner, but did not have a choice.
The bowling alley is great. Very big and affordable. The hotel room was also larger than normal. Friendly and helpful staff. Above average buffet. Shower felt great. Pretty seedy place. The demographics were mostly of the local gambling addicts around age 50+. Saw several prostitutes. One time when we were going to our room there was a group of black men hiding in the hall under the security camera, obviously waiting for their girl to get done hoeing. The slot machines were 99% OLD machines.
We really enjoyed it's quiet atmosphere. It's not like the crazy hotel casinos on the Vegas strip. Staff was very nice and helpful. The price for food including buffet (when using players card) was great and a lot less then on the strip also. The price to stay was great too. Beautiful Atrium with nice water fall light show. We would stay again. There were only a few flaws which is to be expected anywhere you stay. The bathroom shower in room worked a bit weird when turning it in, but hey it worked. The curtain on one side didn't open (broken), but just tied that back. The servers in casino didn't seem to come around a lot, but that happen at other places we went too. So these weren't huge problems as it all worked out. Nice place.
This is an excellent hotel in Vegas. It is not located on strip, but is not very far from it. Considering the rates of the hotels located on the strip and the service they offer, I think this one offers on par facilities. Of course, you may not get a super luxurious experience here, but you would be pretty happy with overall service provided. To sum up the things, this hotel is about luxurious experience at affordable expenses (compromised by the budget). Excellent value for money!
Friendly service clean room quiet room comfortable bed Happy hour at the bar Great jacuzzi Not too crowded. Value buffets love the theater Too short of visit
Prices were OK, the indoor atrium is very nice and the inclusive movie theater was handy. Walmart is across the street which is handy for getting things such as water and snacks. Some staff was very nice, others not so much. Free shuttle to the strip. Beds were dated and uncomfortable, there was limited outdoor areas including the small pool. Limited dining options as location is isolated. General feeling overall that everything was OK but nothing was spectacular. Layout made it difficult to escape smoke smell.
great price nice rooms! There were no signs anywhere for finding the hotel check-in, and the place is huge. The kids found traipsing through he gambling hall every time we needed to get to the car very unnerving.
Great room, clean, comfortable.
I liked the room. It was cozy.
Room was extremely comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Near the strip but much quieter. No casino, no smoking! Entrance is modest, which is fine - go to the strip for glitter. Grocery stores not nearby, so plan in advance.
The location is great, 5 minute walk to the strip. The rooms are remodeled so they're modern and have fully equipped kitchens. There is no resort fee, and free parking right in front of the hotel. Nothing, this place is the bee's knees.
Easy walking to get places on the strip. Ample parking (with shade, even). Full kitchen meant I could prepare breakfast/lunch myself (healthy eating so I can eat the good stuff for dinner!) Wifi in the room worked well. Fitness room was quite small (but I got lucky and found it available when I needed it)
Kitchen in the room very loud A/C
overpriced for an average hotel off the strip. Also, hard for Uber drivers to find which made pick up wait time longer. Hotel is kinda hidden.
Quiet area away from the noise of the strip but close enough to walk to casinos. blackout curtains let us sleep in late after a long night. Liked Free Internet access in the room even though it required a network cable. Kitchen with Fridge, microwave stove and coffee pot was great, Also a Great Price. Room had a slight smoke odor despite being a Smoke Free room. would have liked Wireless internet access
We would highly recommend this hotel as it is very close to the strip plus the suites are great and clean. Also the rates are great.
cleanliness, location, pleasant and very helpful staff, quiet, very well equipped/appointed room. swimming pool/hot tub and free sun loungers!!
I stayed in a studio suite with king size bed, full kitchen, lounging and dining area. The accommodation are very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no gaming area in the lobby. The hotel is right next to Planet Hollywood and MGM and next to Miracle Mile shopping with shops, restaurants and Starbucks.
Inexpensive, good bed, interesting decor, good service when requested Too far from the Strip, room too small, poor layout of two-queen suite ... glass wall between the bedroom and bathroom that had to be closed with an awkward curtain that blocked the door when used. A glass wall in a King suite makes sense but not with two queens. The room was missing items like enough glasses, and pens, do not disturb sign. Poor views from much of the hotel .. OK from the 10th floor up.
Bathroom was not particularly clean.
Good sized room and amenities Very poor check-in experience (took forever and room wasn't ready until 3.30pm)
Beds were great, it looked chic. Hotel has some good eating options. Bathroom is all glass with a drape to conceal yourself and no locks. For a suite it's quite small and about the same size as a regular room if you knocked down the wall for the bedroom. The toilet light needed to 'warm up' so it was terribly dark when you had to use it quickly. Shower head pressure was low and water never got acceptably hot. No refrigerator, no microwave, no where to eat really. For the cost off the strip that far I don't think it was worth it.
Nice suite. Off strip. Suite was nice. Nice staff, poor service. Had to call 3 times to get room cleaned. One of the days they didn't clean. Much better service at all the other major Casinos In Vegas. Low cost is the only attribute. You pay for what you get.
Restaurants and location. Service was slow and unresponsive.
