The truth is that since Top of the World Restaurant (at the Stratosphere Hotel) has been their a very long time, I really wasn't expecting much. It is a high-end restaurant, but my wife and I went to see the view and say we went there. It was a really nice surprise. First off....the view was fantastic. You are overlooking the entire city. Looking at the tower from the rest of the city, and you don't realize how high it is.\n--- \nAs for the restaurant and food, it was also great. The staff was very friendly, service was fast, the food was varied in selection. My wife decided to make it a sampling dinner...we ordered two appetizers, and split one meal. All were wonderful. Were not big drinkers, but it looked like the wine selection was good too. This was date night with my wife....and we had a wonderful time. On our next trip to Las Vegas, I expect we will return.\n---\nDon't miss watching the bungee jumpers either. It was too windy the evening we were there, but we had a laugh at the sign warning you not to be disturbed if you saw bodies falling by, and to 'feel free to wave'. We spend some time at the hotel afterward gambling....something we wouldn't normally do, but it was nice as well.\n---\nOver all, Top of the World is every bit as nice as the other more trendy big-name chief restaurants, but for most, offers a better value, nicer view, and great food, whether you are there for a meal, or a light snack.\n---\nSince it remains a tourist restaurant, reservations are still recommended, I would think. They are on OpenTable.\n\n --- Ron (Dallas)
