The guest lounge room was well stocked with coffee and teas with wonderful views across the grounds, and for those that can’t live with internet and tv comfy chairs to watch and surf. Although we did not use the cafe on our visit, we will be returning for a slice of the homemade cakes. 6.3 Good
Pros: Bathroom has washing machine so we were able to wash & dry
Cons: Very basic facilities and room for three adults is tight. Location wise - it is a roadside house with no views.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location was fine, thought the price was a little steep for what we got. We were in a room at the south end of the house/b&b and shared the bathroom with a couple of ladies across the hall and with a washer and dryer and a bathroom window that would not lock even at night. Thought it was too much for something not en-suite and not hot bfast. It was continental bfast only. He did let me use his phone when my cell phone would not work, to get thru to the Direct Ferries line, and never ever book the ferry to Orkney thru Direct Ferries, terrible service and took us 2 days of phone calls to get a confirmation number. People were friendly and nice. Just though it was too expensive, £50 would have been more in line. But is was ok for the location. If you book this location, make sure to take one of the rooms at the North end of the house, nicer bathroom on that end!
Cons: See above
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast.
