The room was clean, tidy and the hotel staff were helpful when asked about the town (in our case Agen)
After a 6.5hr cycle in the freezing rain to get there, the walk in shower was definitely it!!
Great location, helpful staff, simple but comfortable room, cleanliness and everything in working order. Although parking was very convenient, it was also very expensive. Breakfast was poor and not worth the price.
The very central location and friendly staff A bit basic but ideal for our needs
A well run hotel that is simple but it does the job. Comfortable little room with a perfectly functionable bathroom. The hotel is right in the centre of town with good restaurants close at hand.
Staff were very nice The reason I chose the hotel was because it had WiFi - it was not working for the 2 days of my stay - This was very very inconvenient
Central location in Agen
Nothing Poor quality of rooms
it was close to downtown the people were very helpful
The close proximity to the railway station and to the locaboat office was so handy for us. All staff were pleasant and most helpful, the rooms were clean and adequate and we were very impressed with overall sevice. The breakfast included was very enjoyable. Great value for money. No
We were the only guests for dinner but were very well looked after by the Head Waiter.
The suite was beautiful. The setting was lovely and we had a wonderful meal in the garden- the staff were friendly and looked after us well. The chairs in the breakfast room were not brilliant for my husband who was suffering with a bad back.
The staff were so kind and helpful. We had our dog with us and this proved to be no problem at all. What a treat to find a nice hotel in France!
Located in a beautiful countryside Chateau Lassalle is a good place to relax. It is charming in a 'shabby chic' way. However, it is quite isolated and one depends on the hotel for breakfast and dinner. It is not the best for visiting Agen and other sites. The breakfast and especially dinner are overpriced. We would not recommend it as a place to stay for city trips.
We spent 5 weeks in France and the "Chateau" was clearly the best place we stayed at. The standard of accomodation was first class, the food superlative and the service far exceeded our expectations. Everything about the place was 5 star!! If you go to this area of France you must experience this. There was absolutely nothing not to like!!
The hotel building and grounds are beautiful, as is the location. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. The restaurant is very over-priced and serves bland tasting nouvelle cuisine. There seems little imagination in the presentation - we had a salmon dish, fillet steak, and guinea fowl all served with the same garnish and plate decoration (including a red wine poached pear)! The breakfast, at 12 euros is also very over-priced and not very special. If you stay here, go out for a coffee and croissant for breakfast in one of the surrounding villages, and eat dinner in any of the great restaurants in the area.
1. Since it is not possible to extend Wi-Fi to all rooms, please consider having a dedicated space with a table and chair (+scanner/printer?). 2. The TV channels provided are not up to the level a guest expects. Satellite TV please.
nice surroundings / terrace dont't be fooled by the picture on the website... the room you are getting is nothing like it. We booked a renovated room on the first floor, but were first put in a old shabby room on the second floor in which I could't even stand up staight (although I'm not unusualy tall). After complaints we got another room on the first floor... but still not something which deserved the label renovated. It was very small, there was only one small closed, and the bathroom clearly dated from the 70-ies or so (altough it was relatively clean). The restaurant is acceptable, but nothing special, and definetely pricey of you compare value for money. At the first day, the bread at breakfast was old, but the following day's it was okay. I cannot understand the otherwise so positive reviews of this hotel on the website. This hotel desperately needs a real professional managament, and should not lie at the time of booking about the room you are realy getting upon arrival.
the attractive building, grounds and pool area. the dinner on the terrace was very good. no
Our second stay. Beautiful building and setting. Lovely staff. Brilliant food. Very relaxing.
It was a pleasant little chateau with clean and fairly smart rooms and an excellent bathroom. The entrance drive to the chateau was blocked with a table and chairs forcing guests to drive around the back like the staff!
Very comfortable and friendly hotel in lovely surroundings Lack of mirror in bedroom and hairdrier
Atmosphere and peace No
Nothing The bathroom had a rotten wooden shower panel and we had a cockroach in the room
We chose the hotel because of it's position and knew what to expect in advance having stayed in a Campanile before. Handy resturant with good basic food, not quite as much choice as on previous occasions. We felt the room was rather 'tired' and needs a bit of a face lift!
We have stayed here four times and always eat in the restaurant as it is extremely good. I have the impression that the hotel is trying to save money, each time a light bulb has been missing in one of the lights, the air con did not work on cold and it was very hot and humid during our stay so we did not sleep very well. This time there was no bathroom light so it was very difficult to shower and shave.
Distance from town within walking distance, convenient parking lot, restaurant opening hours
a good basic hotel, clean and comfortable. Very quiet at the back of the hotel.Breakfast good value.Hotel good value shower room was very small but adequate for us. We were just passing throughstaying one night
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Ideal for a stop over.
Basic but good enough for a one night stopover
Easy return to Auto route Difficult to find--SatNav not precise enough........Get a new chef...........
Comfortable bed, room was clean and well maintained. Good overnight stop whilst travelling. Restaurant closed Friday nights and weekends but we were directed to one a short drive away. Hotel is situated in a lorry park but fortunately there was no traffic on the Friday night! Difficult to locate hotel even though it was only just off the Autoroute.
Nothing, In the centre of a big truck Park./non smoking room smelled of smokers./Air conditioning, did not tell you that it required a remote control./ Unless you saw the sign you would not enter the Truck Park, nothing wrong withTruckers ,but not the place for a family Hotel
Arrived very late at night and left very early so not really able to judge. However, everything was functional. Room for a triple was very small. Generous Coffee and tea facilities. Extra bed is a rollaway stored under the double. Did not have the impression of cleanliness under the bed
Did it's job as a functonal hotel as we passed through Agen. Clean and comfortable and handy. Not the best value we foud during our cycle tour.
Room provided excellent bed which was very comfortable. Plenty of hot water, telephone, and excellent digital television clean good bathroom more than adequate with good towels and high standard of cleanliness The Restaurant could provide better food
it is nice and calm hotel. it is situated in calm place. breakfast is finished too early. small room for three persons
a nice menu, good breakfast, easy parking, close to motorway booked a triple room, expected 3 proper beds. Got two beds and a roll away, so uncomfortable not possible to sleep on. Triple room, TWO cups for ONE drink. Triple rooms should be just that - a room fit for THREE people, not a double with a bit of mattress thrown in as an afterthought. Room was far too small for three adults. Please don't insult the paying customer who knows better.
The Staff did not understand or speak english.
Comfort Fittings Lack of Air Conditioning
Fair sized room, clean, totally acceptable for a overnight stay on a drive to somewhere, wouldn't want to spend days here. Very friendly staff. This is not a hotel in the sense of a single structure, there is a central building with the restaurant and check in and a second building (chalet concept) where the rooms are located on either the ground or first floor and open directly into the car park. This is positive if you are on an overnight stay like myself as you can leave the car right outside the room, but, not if you are on a long term stay as your room opens out directly into the car park which makes it exposed and dark.
The room was fine for 2 adults and three children, good location to walibi park and a very substantial breakfast however could have had a few more choices of cereal for the children, would recommend for a short stay. spare bed was not in good condition.
A good hotel for an overnight stop while travelling through France, close to the auto-route
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Nice food.
Close to the main auto routes.Restaurant did a good evening meal the night I was there.Rooms good for 1 night stop over.Travelled by motorcycle managers sorted out hose pipe to wash bike as it had rained so bike was full of road muck.Manager customer focused I found was good. Close to a busy cross roads but no road noice as I was at the back.
Staff really helpful, nice to have staff that spoke very good english, clean rooms
Staff very friendly, Family room great!
Nothing except leaving the next morning. My heart sank when I saw it. Didn't like it or enjoy it at all. If this was a "superior double room" I'm glad we didn't book anything below "superior".
only the location close to town. The room was small toilet was a disaster, next to the bed with a folding door. I wouldmost definitely not recommend this hotel. There are better hotels for the same price-or even less- in Villeneauve sur Lot- The hotel has squeezed a toilet and a small bathroom into a small bedroom divided only by a folding door. see above. I have placed my remarks in the wrong box. Because of the above remarks we only stayed one night and then moved to another hotel.
ideal for 1 or 2 night stay but could not recomend it for longer stays see above
Central but peaceful location. Beds -matresses were poor. Breakfast at Euros 7 was of poor standard - and inadequate choice.
The staff were very welcoming, the food in the restaurant was very good and it made for a very enjoyable stay The bedroom was too warm
convenient location for what we wanted but may not suit all not very soundproof
Evening meal A little tired
well placed surface of the room
We had a meeting with family and friends, also a mix of buisness and pleasure
The evening receptionist was helpful, in addition Car parking was a plus. The toilet and shower facilities were undesirable and not very hygienic e.g. no were to wash your hands etc. The position of the facilities was not explained very well in your advertisement i.e. shared shower area and toilet In the corridor.
cheap i used the map on the booking.com website to decide to use this hotel, unfortunately the hotel is nowhere near this location, it took two hours to find it and that was due to pure luck, i will never stay at this hotel again for that reason, it is a very underhand way of advertising a hotel, also the room was not very clean
The price Incorrect location given on booking.com website
Staying away from the manager as much as possible. There wasn't much too like. The manager was the biggest problem, he was rude and incompetant. Asking people to swap rooms and take their shoes off when they entered the hotel! He double booked our room so that we had to move hotels half way through our stay! I was thankful to leave there.
The room was tiny, especially the bathroom. The hot water was unpredictable and often nonexistent. But the worst thing was the complete lack of soundproofing. I could hear everything that any of my neighbors were doing, leading to some embarrassing moments and never a night of uninterrupted sleep.
