Pros: The Owner was lovely she was so helpful and personable . the breakfast was outstanding
Cons: Road sweepers at 6.30am - not the owners fault
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property owner was courteous, welcoming, and charming. Great value for money. Clean and conveniently located. The upstairs room I stayed in came with a bath and a good-sized, comfortable bed. Details that matter: USB sockets in the room, fresh apple juice in the morning
Cons: The building was somewhat run down. Old world charm if you will. I didn't mind sharing the kitchen with the other guests but can imagine other people might object. I did not see an elevator so people with disabilities may struggle to climb three flights of stairs.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: nice landlady+, very nice arrangement of the room, nice interior, really great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A friendly host and a good breakfast. We met nice folks staying in the other room.
Cons: Parking is somewhat distant, although it's available. Our room height was restricted and so it was somewhat awkward getting around. We had to tote our bags up four flights of stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is really doing great investments to make the whole building comfortable. The rooms are brilliantly renovated. Nevertheless the groundfloor is kind of a ruïne and some guests certainly would be malcontent without that's. The cosy location of the b&b in the middle of a shoppingstreet and ten feet next to a supermarket really is a plus. Ik think that or ou like or you do dislike this b&b. There also is the possibility to store bikes safely. The breakfast was ok, you can ask for extras if necessary.
Cons: Just the mess. downstairs.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and well equipped room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: My room had a nice walk-in shower. It had a coffeemaker, hairdryer and a TV. The bed, which was comfortable, was made up every day and new towels were provided for every day. On top of the roof is a little terrace where one can sit and enjoy a drink. We had bikes and we could out them inside the hall to prevent theft. This is an old house with nice poems on the walls of Arthur Rimbaud, and it is overall a charming place.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic. The infrastructure of the room was a but a bit chaotic - electric plugs for example were not properly connected in the walls, one of the iron chairs was very wobbly, - and the room was small to move around, even for one person. The card reader for payment did not work, even after many attempts, so we had to pay cash. Parking in the street in front of the hotel was possible, but I payed 17 euro's for 3 hours ( parking longer was not possible). We arrived on on Sunday and were informed by the owner that because of it being Sunday he would open the B&B at 6:00 pm, instead of the planned 5:00 pm. That was a disappointment.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was in perfect order. An additional attraction was a spiral staircase - good for improving the sense of balance and fitness
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very nice stay with a very friendly Christophe! Comfortable rooms, particularly the room my parents stayed in was in a very nicely decorated (lavender?). Christophe pointed out a very pretty route for us on the way out, which certainly was a highlight we would not have found ourselves.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet place, very central
Cons: Very small room , 2nd floor no lift, tiny washbasin
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location near the town square. Christophe is an excellent host. The property is a renovated older building with unique features. Enjoyed a nice breakfast on the rooftop terrace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful building with loads of character. The owner was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For us a dreamlike and very spacious room, lovingly furnished with a very good and nice breakfast - together with the other guests. Loving and helpful - hopefully see you soon...
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location Stylish premises and room Nice Owner
Cons: Brkfst 10 EUR Insulation does not exist Noise from other Renters Small room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a fantastic, sympathetic renovation of an old building (how often do you get to stay in a historic monument - climbing a wooden spiral staircase, in a hexagonal turret, to get to your room?). The owner lives in the building: he keeps it very nice (even window boxes with flowers!) and is always around (so no need to phone ahead and hang around to meet someone to get a key, etc.). It is absolutely city centre, but there is still (free) public parking nearby. The town itself is also much more attractive and interesting that you might guess - worth a visit.
Cons: Some people could have trouble with the stairs. The shower room and (separate) toilet were fine for us, but mine be minimalist for other people (since it is an apartment for 6).

Pros: The owner was very kind and helpful. Thank you for the very good advice on where to buy champagne. The breakfast was excellent and tasteful. Unfortunately it was in December and it was a pity we could not try the small sauna and jacuzzi.
Cons: Everything good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, quiet location, very friendly, helpful owner (despite language difficulties) Fresh, home produce for breakfast was very good. Fitness centre was very well equipped.
Cons: Air conditioning would have been appreciated as it was very hot. You need to drive somewhere to eat in the evening but we did know this when we booked. Steep stairs may be a little difficult for some people with limited mobility.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet. Fabulous breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom had an impractical sink that could not hold water.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very accommodating. The premises were furnished thoughtfully each room a different theme. We were in a suit of rooms with plenty of space plus the use of public rooms and the garden to relax in. A nice change from the chain hotels with their modern custom built standardised hotel room. The breakfast was superb with homemade jams and other dishes. If I pass this way again I will definitely seek out this little gem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely, cosy place to stay when visiting the French Ardennes. The host and hostess were very helpful in providing all the info we needed to make the most of this beautiful area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved that this property was in a gorgeous village in a rural area but only about 20mins from the main town. The owners were so friendly/helpful. Breakfast was lovely, especially the egg custard Michelina made, using her Grandmother's recipe.Michel knew a lot about the area & we will return another time to explore. We stayed here, on route from Austria to the ferry at Dunkirk. So pleased we chose this B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is great place in the nice countryside of the Ardenne in a very small village but just 15mm away from Charleville Meziere. The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good and the the owners are very nice.

3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Air con turned off at 10.30pm. Great shame that as (a) there were no opening windows and (b) the toilet was in the room - as was the bathroom! A number of the fitments were loose. The reading light over the bed didn't work and the bedside control of the air conditioning (had it worked) appeared completely non functional. No lift and one had to use the station car park opposite. Not located in a particularly nice part of town although very convenient for the railway station. Nobody on duty overnight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location. Easy parking. Well styled. Clean and comfortable. Ideal for an overnight stay or an extended break.
Cons: The hand basin was on the other side of the room from the toilet. The coffee machine needed some instructions.

Pros: Modern and clean
Cons: No WiFi in the roon

Pros: Central location, easy 5 minute walk to town centre and parking opposite the main entrance, would definetly stay again. Staff very helpful and friendly.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The people of the hotel are very warm, kind and willing to help and solve any problem. Location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the center of the city and easy parking just in front of the hotel. A tip: have dinner at 'chez Toshi', a great restaurant with modern dishes and very reasonable prices for the top quality you get.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal was really friendly and the deco is awesome
Cons: Did select this place because it was mentioning the site was adapted for persons with reduced mobility. When arriving all rooms were on the first floor , with only stairs and no lift. Even the breakfast place can only be reach by stairs. The personal was extremely friendyl and do their best to compensate , but this is clearly not a site to be recomended to person with mobility restrictions
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great fun rooms. Staff perfect. Funny and lovely.
Cons: Nothing. We knew it was central to the town and expected to eat out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Alles. Outstanding. Top accommodation.
7.5 Good
Pros: Really friendly staff, warm welcome.
Cons: Big smiles, and happy faces, very friendly staff and we got the front room. But we didn't sleep. At night there there way too much light pollution while the curtains were closed. The room was also quite noisy. Lots of sounds from the building, ticking noises and a window that could not be closed. The lady at the desk was sorry and actually said when we left, "see you next time'. She just didn't care. To be honest, the room was totally unacceptable. They should have offered a big discount. We didn’t sleep well here, I hardly closed my eyes. Also the furniture is worn out which makes everything seeming old and dirty, while the place is actually very clean. I would not have booked this place if I had known they give us a room like this. The breakfast was also very poor value for money. No fresh fruits and little diversity.

Pros: I left a glowing review after our last stay there and thought it so good we would stay there again on the way back
Cons: I didn’t like a) the restaurant was closed on a Sunday and b) being asked to pay again when we had already paid The girl was adamant that we had not paid only begrudgingly admitting she was wrong when I managed to show her the Pay Pal email receipt

Pros: Friendly welcoming staff. Familial homey hotel. Just don't expect five star treatment. But overall charming French family hotel.
Cons: You could hear the noise in the hallway. Probably depends where your room is located. Maybe they should also supply thicker bed sheets (in the winter).
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff convenient location nice rooms
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good, there is a hairdryer, you have tea facilities, the staff is friendly and the room was clean.
Cons: There isn't an elevator and I had a 25 kg luggage that I had to carry to the 3rd floor on really narrow staircases. The WiFi is not that reliable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, quiet. We had the corner room on the top floor, i.e. two windows to each side. Better no paintings on the walls than ugly ones ;-) Everything fine and clean.
7.5 Good
Pros: Well located though parking is a mystery, 2 hours for about €2, 3 hours for €17! The odd thing was 2 hours actually covered me from 4.30pm to 8.30am.
Cons: All the furniture in the bar was just piled up on one side. Stairs were steep and lighting unreliable.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The property was handy to be where I needed to be
Cons: The bed was infested with bedbugs. I kept killing them but in the end, slept in my cat.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Good location. Simple but nice breakfast. Very reasonable.
Cons: Very basic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for a quite remarkable town with hidden gems for the enquiring mind. The hotel was the cheapest we stayed in on our trip but totally adequate. We spent a couple of hours on a cultural exploration and found the tour to be very pleasant around this riverside town. The tourist leaflet in the room gave us insight into the significant history of the town and encouraged us to explore! If you have a couple of hours at your disposal I would recommend you try the tourist walk!
Cons: There is no easy parking for cars but our motorcycles fitted the area opposite in full view of our bedroom window. The breakfast was sparse but adequate.

Pros: Setting for tree huts was lovely. Large deck to sit out on when weather is fine. We were in the 16m high hut. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
Cons: Found out after we booked that linen and towels not provided. Shower block is near reception.. not near huts... and strangely there is no toilet at shower block which is combined for men and women. Also Toilet is sawdust bucket (which is acceptable being a tree hut) and no electricity. Just given a medium size bottle of water. Heights to climb up ladders are also mentioned afterwards. Need to have confidence to do this.. especially if rains. More detail on booking info would be better. We arrived 20 mins early and lady at reception told us to go for a walk and come back in 20 mins. Hence was raining as we started process of taking things up to hut by pulley. The morning receptionist seemed more ‘people friendly’!
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and did everything they could to help us. The brasserie on site nearby made a delicious dinner. We had a lovely stay in the end, but feel this location might be slightly misrepresented - or at least unclear on Booking.com.
Cons: We thought we had booked a “double room” as it was listed on Booking.com. However, it was actually a campsite with some cabins. When we arrived they had no knowledge of our reservation. The staff found us a nearby cabin with beds and linens. The normal situation is you bring your own sleeping bags, towels, and supplies.

7.5 Good
Pros: Great value for money. Located close to the railway and center. Friendly staff.
Cons: Small shower cabine.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Central location clean friendly staff
Cons: The description was misleading I had thought the room would have at least 3 single beds as opposed to 2 and a bunk bed despite asking specifically for three single beds!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, nice [Russian-speaking] staff. All-in-all very nice price-quality ratio.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is very convenient as it is situated right in the heart of city. Parking on the sideways is free after 18:00 but very hard to find a space so there is a parking lot 50m from the hotel which is also good. There is check in until 23:00 which is also good. Personel can speak in English, French and Russian which is surprisingly good.
Cons: Very small rooms with thin doors that makes it noisy when people are moving around. Rooms are cold and very badly insulated. Wi-fi is being disconnected very often. There is restaurants near by but everything closes after 21:00.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast room was very spacious and the standard and selection of food available was good. The milk dispenser was a tad fiddly.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location good. Nice old building, only stayed one night.
Cons: Booking.Com told us check in was from 2pm. We drove from Bruges, 3hrs, to Charleville arriving at 2.30PM to find the hotel closed, in darkness, no answer, no sign of life. Waited outside for 40 minutes, still no sign of any activity, felt like driving off. Found another hotel that was open so went in and asked. They said November 1st was a public holiday and nothing would open till 4pm. At least we knew now. That hotel phoned the first one and we were told someone would open up at 4pm. Sure enough a man opened up, not much conversation and we were given a room right at the top of the hotel. No mention of the private parking space I had reserved but as it was a public holiday I parked outside.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Warm welcome, private parking, fast check in
Cons: Requested earlier Breakfast (7/7.30 am) but nothing could be done before 8am (time we were supposed to leave town) while everything was ready in the hotel and not much had to be done. In addition, pubes remains were found in the bidet and the bathroom was not so clean. Rather old-ish place to stay. Meet my expectations (having a comfortable bed for the night) but that is it.
5.0 Okay
