Pros: Very comfortable and beautiful surroundings. Host is very friendly. Great value for money.
Pros: Beautiful location, breakfast, the friendliness of the host
Cons: the toilet has no windows or any ventilation system...it's a big issue, otherwise this could be a perfect place
Pros: It is located about 5 miles from town and a car is most convenient. The house is spacious, nice sitting room with fireplace. The country-side is beautiful as it is in the mountains. Breakfast was plentiful with a variety of food on the table. Quiet, restful and a most enjoyable hostess provided for all our needs.
Pros: Simply a beautiful place to stay
Pros: Beautiful cosy house up in the mountains. Comfortable big bathroom. Breakfast is good. Francine is great! #clean #quiet
Pros: Francine was a fantastic host and couldn’t have looked after us any better. Thank you for a short but memorable stay.
Pros: Great Host, was made very welcome on arrival. Facilities and room were excellent, we never once felt unwelcome using the common areas. Great Stay.
Maison Le Boubioz is located in Ugine, 8 km from Albertville. Free WiFi is provided throughout. Some units have views of the mountains or garden. Rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. Shops can be found less than 500 metres away. An equestrian centre is available a 10-minute walk from this B&B. Maison Le Boubioz is 23 km from Megève and 20 km from Annecy Lake. Free private parking and free bikes are available on site.
Pros: Jacqueline was like an old friend we never knew we had and the saddest part of our visit was that we only stayed with her for two nights. We had many wonderful conversations (in French), she shared her life and her homemade jam and her Rose from Provence and fresh yogurt and so on and so forth. She made her garage available for my bike or those with motorcycles and what more could a guest ask for? Super!
Cons: we wished that we'd stayed longer
Pros: Very friendly host with beer waiting on arrival and booked a table at a local restaurant for us. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
Cons: It took a short while to find the property due to limited signage, but nothing too bad.
Pros: Big clean room with installed shower and toilet. Very calm and scenic terrasse and area - nice breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed the stay - and the warm nature and service of Madame Jaqueline. World highly recommend it :)
Pros: Jacqueline was very friendly and welcoming, made us coffee on arrival, offered to book a restaurant if required. Would definitely consider staying again!
Cons: Nothing to dislike!
Pros: Very welcoming lady let me put my bike in her garage even gave us a beer on arrival and even sat chatting to us in the garden beautiful house in a beautiful location
Pros: Wonderful hostess who went well beyond the call of duty to make our holiday a success. By the end of a longish stay (10 days or so) we were more like friends and were made to feel as if we were members of her home, not paying guests. Facilities were excellent - lovely decor, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, easy parking.
Cons: Jacqueline does not speak English. For us that was not problem - it made us practise our rusty French, but some foreign visitors could find it a bit more difficult.
Pros: The host was absolutely delightful. She looked after us so well on what had turned out to be a very difficult day. She welcomed us with refreshments, advised us about the locality and was generally very friendly.
Pros: The room was beautifully clean and comfortable. Jacqueline the host was extremely helpful and although she did not speak English, went out of her way to use a translstion tablet to ensure we were completely happy. Evening meal was a 5 minute walk away and very pleasant.
Cons: The only thing is there is no name on the large house to show it is the bed and breakfast.
Pros: Charming host, clean facilities, good location
Cons: Unlike the ad in booking, the toilets are not private, they are shared and across the hall from the family's lounge. The bathroom (no toilet) is supposed to be private, but it had the owner's makeup, cosmetics etc. This was especially embarrassing when the owner had family visiting her and sharing the toilets with us. We were not given a key to our room, which meant that the family that hosted us and other guests could go into our room at any time. It felt like being a guest in a couch surfing experiment, but we paid like in a regular B&B. I was disappointed and contacted booking about changing the misleading information on the website. I did not even ask for reimbursement, but I think it is important the ad is correct.
Pros: Super accommodating hostess
Cons: Just a recommendation, we hadn’t any soap in the bathroom but think it was an oversight as everything else was lovely

Pros: This is a lovely but rather hidden location, with simply wonderful host, very helpful and welcoming, lots of good suggestions for an evening meal
Cons: A little tricky to find and a sign at the other end of the road would be welcomed
Pros: Breakfast was great. Secure bike storage and great cycling.
Pros: The owner she was very carrying , we deffenetly would stay again!!!
Pros: A brilliant location, very helpful and friendly host (and pets!), and we felt completely at home, surrounded by majestic mountains.

Pros: Fantastic place, really big room & fab jacuzzi bath. A great find & a lovely authentic place
Pros: The traditional French character throughout the buildings and staff
Pros: Certainly a hotel of some character dating back to 18c. Excellent breakfast and very hospitable owners who are descendants of the original owners.
Pros: We stayed one night at this old mansion and received a great, very large room. The rooms are furnished and decorated lovely in the old style of the mansion (but they don't look worn or old). The bathroom is large and quite modern. The location is close to the town center. We very much enjoyed the park of the mansion, where we had the opportunity to picnic and enjoy a lovely, hot summer evening. We will definitely book this hotel again if we are in that area in the near future.
Cons: The first impression of the hotel from the outside was not very inviting. It looked dull and not well maintained (maybe because all shutters were closed due to the heat to keep the cool air inside). But this changed when we saw the rooms and the lovely interior.
Pros: Really nice place, central but like countryside. Old mansion, nice garden, great breakfast, nice people.
Pros: Can’t say enough about how lovely the staff (especially Estelle!) was when I arrived very late after a LONG travel day. Beautiful setting, convenient location, eclectic decor and good bar and breakfast. Only caution is that room was warm at night even with fan provided.
Pros: Beautiful hotel with lovely staff and great breakfast.
Pros: The bed was huge and the staff were great - a real gem of a find given the somewhat austere appearance when you drive down the driveway. Looks a bit like the Adams Family house from the outside but is great value and a strong reccomend.
Cons: It was summer when we went and the restaurant was closed but you can get a breakfast at the hotel and there were plenty of places within a minutes walk to eat lunch/dinner
Pros: Beautiful property with a cosy feel to it and large rooms. Lovely garden. Very good breakfast and nice hosts.
Pros: Quirky! Very old world and lovely for it.
Cons: All good

Pros: Quite place surrounded by beautiful mountains. The breakfast was perfect. Very quick access to Lake Annecy and beautiful villages like Talloires.
Pros: Nice room and no sound of the street noise. Excellent restaurant.
Pros: The staff were so friendly! Perfect convenient location. Good price.
Cons: The decor is pretty bright!
Pros: Location was great. Reception staff were excellent, very obliging and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and adequate for a short stay. Good parking facilities.
Cons: The restaurant staff were rude - felt that as we were English we weren't particularly welcome. Were only offered one course which wasn't great. In future would eat out unless the service and menu choice changed.
Pros: Location, parking, breakfast was good.
Cons: Very disappointed to discover the restaurant was closed on a Saturday evening and transport is required to reach the nearest village - I really think hotels should inform guests of reduced facilities at the time of booking. Room had no air conditioning and subsequently the hotel was hot and stuffy. Again disappointing for a hotel of this price level.
Pros: Lovely room, breakfast good
Pros: Lovely breakfast, good facilities
Pros: Dinner was an excellent experience, great friendly service, superb food and wine, more than we expected and breakfast the next day was good too. A good place to stop on the way to the 3 valleys or other ski resort in the area
Pros: Plenty of choice, homely touch

Pros: Location is great and the hotel is situated in the centre if town, close to Annecy and Albertville... Free Parking
Cons: Small but comfortable room. Double room smaller than an equivalent Ibis or Campanile. Very small shower unit...I'm tall at over 6 feet and I could just fit in.
Pros: Location, centre ville
Cons: Tired, needs an update, soft old bed, v few nearby restaurants
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely old hotel.
Cons: Room was very compact.
Pros: Lovely, smiley, helpful owners/staff. Great breakfast. Great location for the lake, Annecy and mountains. Very clean. Super!
Pros: The free car parking behind the hotel was very convenient. Great patisserie a few doors down.
Pros: Very friendly welcome, and help to find the free private parking just behind the hotel. Reception staff recommended a local restaurant and called to book a table for us (we arrived quite late on a Friday evening). Comfortable room and good breakfast in the morning. A lovely typical French hotel in a delightful town in the valley - made a good place for a stopover, but would stay again for longer.
Pros: Friendly staf. Clean. Big room.
Cons: The location is noisy. There is a cafeteria/restaurant, but only breakfast is served in the morning. Had to look somewhere else to have a diner. (despite of the drinks).
Pros: Housed in a charming old building, this hotel has its own bar and terrace plus a private parking area around the back. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Cons: With the road running right past the hotel, you will have to close the windows to sleep quietly if you have a room on that side, making you dependent on the airconditioning on hot days. The upside is that the acoustic isolation is of excellent quality. You hardly hear a thing when the windows are closed.
Pros: The welcome and the view were great
Cons: Breakfast very basic and hardly any food Aircon not working in room and it was very hot even at night

Pros: Lovely , friendly staff.
Cons: Bit noisy on the first night as the bar had been booked for a birthday party. Doors could do with improving as difficult to unlock and noisy to close them properly .Bathrooms could do with updating.
Pros: I only like the scenery of the hotel.
Cons: None of the staff speaks English only French!!! Breakfast was very very poor!
Pros: The apartment was amazing - really modern and very comfortable and clean. The host was very helpful and welcoming. It had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the electric velux and blinds but weren't allowed to use them- just watch. The air con was also a really helpful feature given the time of year we stayed- and contributed to a really comfortable sleep for all of us.
Cons: The only downside for us was lack of windows so there was no view out (other than the velux to the sky) but a very minor point and for a short stay not something that would put me off at all and I'd still stay again and recommend to others.

Cons: Only 1 chair in a two-person room. Too little toilet-papier. The closest restaurant is rarely open (only on Fridays, Saturdays).
Pros: Friendly personeel and price
Cons: The smell in room was not fresh. The shower could not be placed at the wall connection
Pros: Low price
Pros: Nice location in the middle of a quiet town. Friendly staff, good French breakfast. Bar at the property.
Pros: The location, in the town square is very quiet and the family who run the hotel were very helpful.
