7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely location. Very good breakfast.
Cons: It was fine.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was superb and service was excellent. Large, beautifully finished rooms with good air conditioning and 2 showers!
Cons: Nothing really.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice loacation and friendly staff.
Cons: I wasn't aware that the restaurant would not be open for the 2 night duration of my stay which was a little inconvenient and disapointing. However it will ensure that I return again soon when it will be open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an absolute gem set in an old farmhouse, in beautiful surroundings. The room was thoughtfully decorated and very spacious and comfortable. Wonderful showers! We travel regularly through France into Spain and this hotel is in a great location near to the main route. We were met with a very warm welcome. Unfortunately our travel plans went awry the night we stayed and we were delayed in arriving at the hotel and thus missed dinner. Next time we shall definitely make sure we arrive in time as the promise of good food was very evident. Breakfast was served on the terrace, in the sunshine and was lovely. Definitely a place we shall be returning to.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully tranquil location only a few miles from the motorway and the Spanish border. Excellent restaurant serving a set 'taster' menu each evening, lovely terrace for summer evening dining al fresco. Friendly staff, informal cosy surroundings. Dog-friendly. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was a very happy surprise!
Cons: We, unfortunately, opened the window during the night and were bitten by mosquitoes!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pool area and good restaurant
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming chalet, peaceful location, well appointed rooms
Cons: Slow wifi
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent restaurant and chef.. Superb
Cons: Need to be aware of steps in the grounds as several levels
5.8 Okay
Pros: Having visited before some years ago the location was still as attractive despite the weather.
Cons: The room was too small with no wardrobe or hanging space, the bathroom also with hardly any space to put things down, all very basic. All very different from our viiit some years ago when we had a large room on the ground floor and disappointed that our memories of that time were not repeated. Not recommended for older clients as stairs and facilities are not appropriate.

5.5 Okay
Pros: last minute booking
Cons: For que quality, the prize, quite expensive, shouldn’t cost that. The water of the swiming pool was dirty
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Much better than you'd expect for a hotel on a roundabout off the motorway. Friendly staff and a good restaurant. Lots of parking. Easy access. Rooms a bit dated but perfectly clean and acceptable. Mine had a small balcony/sitting area. The restaurant has a good menu and wine list and super service
6.3 Good
Cons: Restaurant is way to expensive.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the middle of motorway, which is perfect if u drove long distance and u wanted to have s rest, it's the best option. Clean and comfortable. And u can have a coffee or some food before you start your drive again
Cons: This is my fourth time in this hotel. I was always happy with the staff and localisation. But the two last times I came later at night. I always said in advance that I'll be late at night. Theoretically they are open 24h. But that is just half true. When I arrived I pressed the button to open the gate for cars, which is the only access to the hotel!! And NOBODY answered!! I phoned thousands time! Nobody there till the last minute that someone answered the phone and open the gate. That was a shame. I can't imagine what happened if nobody wouldn't have answered the phone. Room was already paid, and they knew I came. This is my second time like this! Another question I make to myself, which kind of security is there, if nobody is looking the several cameras of the gate!?

7.0 Good
Pros: We were allowed to store our bikes inside the hotel. The location was also very nice.
Cons: In our opinion, the staff could have spent a little more effort in being hospitable. Also, we stayed at the fourth floor and there was no elevator. The rooms were very simple. There was a small bathroom with shower built into the room, barely with ventilation. The rooms looked a bit old.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Older hotel, family run with helpful staff, clean room & bathroom. Was good value for money & what we needed for a one night stop-over while cycling through.
Cons: Could be modernised
9.3 Excellent
Pros: They were flexible with my check in time, even though I arrived late in the night. Nice staff. Charming room.
Cons: Breakfast could be more varied.
7.5 Good
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Needs modernising
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable beds. Good location
Cons: The bathroom pod was very small and the toilet smelled of amonia
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, there is a nice welcoming feel to the hotel and the staff was very pleasant. It was very quiet during my visit. The hotel feels clean and looked after, quite well maintained, everything worked. You can walk to local shops, mini markets and restaurants and bakeries. There is a longer walk to McDonalds if you are up to it. Took me about 10 mins to walk but I was desperate!
Cons: No problem with the hotel per say. Parking is important to me and unfortunately there is no parking at the hotel itself but local nearby public parking was available. I was lucky on this occasion and found a spot, however parking will be hit or miss.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast; location; room; local restaurants
Cons: Everything was great
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff
Cons: The bathroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect. The building is also kinda nice. And service is very good.
Cons: No A/C and lift.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Centre of town and not expensive. Breakfast was decent. Felt like staying in a hotel you'd see in a French movie from the 1970s - in a good way! Great value for money and, although not luxurious, it was cool in its own way
Cons: If you're fussy about your bathrooms this place mightn't for you. It was clean and everything but really old school. The shower is hand-held (so French!) but I didn't mind it at all - just mentioning it here under "What didn't you like?" for anyone who prefers a more modern shower
5.8 Okay
Cons: There is no parking, except for the street. Private bathroom is below standards (we used the shared one). No air conditioning (which was not a surprise), but it was a hot and humid night.
See hotel page Near Perpignan and the Mediterranean, and backing onto the Albera Massif, a fuss-free welcome awaits you at The Originals City, Le Grillon d'Or, Perpignan. As for Catherine and Pascal, who run the friendly 3-star hotel, sincerity and simplicity are key. A bit like Le Boulou, a peaceful and charming spa town in Pyrnes-Orientales. The elegant hotels 16 rooms are comfortable and practical, and the restaurant, pure and simple, is great. It is the perfect place to sit back and relax in lovely surroundings.
