Very easy to access Staff were very good The room was clean. Access to the Town of Issoire very very good
There was some confusion as I had booked a family room but was told I could not stay in the room with 3 children. I explained that I booked this and enquired before I travelled and it was ok. I also explained that I had a another booking in August 09. The receptionist cancelled this booking without really offering an alternative. Very abrupt
This is a very good hotel for the price range. The rooms are clean, a good size and the beds are comfortable. Its also within walking distance of places to eat. Liked everything
Hotel receptionist was excellent, she was very friendly and helpfull. Hotel is well positioned with secure parking. No tea or coffee available in the room.
Good size rooms and comfortable bed
Reasonable size room Breakfast like a bun fight, insufficient staff and not made aware of what was available.also as with most hotels in the ones we looked at on your website coffe/tea facilities in rooms would have been nice.
very comfortable, no
New, light, spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff, excellent food/restaurant - everything you need - including free fast wifi, free, safe parking and near the motorway, None at all
Very comfortable clean bed
ease of booking and comfort/standard of rooms for amount paid. convenient stop over location
Easy to find . The room was comfortable and the shower and facilities where good. The food was good The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate but no noise at night except for the alarm of one of the industial units which went off three times during the night.
New look - much brighter and cleaner looking There was nowhere to put shampoo etc in the shower
Good for an overnight halfway stopover travelling to the south of France or Spain and very close to A71 Autoroute. Rooms are compact and recently refurbished. Good shower / bathroom, free wi-fi and comfortable beds with little traffic noise from Autoroute nearby. Restuarant food is varied, but as usual in France not very good value compared to say a Beefeater near a Premier Inn in the UK. Though better value than an Ibis or Novotel nearby. Located on a small business park that's quiet after 18:00hrs. Most staff speak english and very friendly. Car park is a bit tight with limited spaces, watch out for damage by other drivers coming and going, my car was hit. Food in restuarant buffet area is left uncovered and flies on food are a problem.
newmodern facilities, efficient & friendly staff & breakfasts
IT was ckean, comfortable, quiet, good restaurant. everything you would want for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere - it's in the middle of a light industry area. Nothing in particular - the place is just one year old.
This was our first stay at Issoire and we found it with ease and, was received with a very pleasant young lady with a smile and, was very helpful when I had difficulty connecting to the internet which was free of charge. I found the cost of meals rather expensive
Near the autoroute We asked for a change of one room due to it having an unpleasant smell.
The well -thought out layout of the room.It was not particularly big, but there was room for luggage, for toiletries in the bathroom and a decent sized bench/table top in the actual bedroom The concrete stairs for the upper floor made rather hard going if you were not in the first flush of youth!!
Quiet, good beds no
Clean, comfortable. roomy. Good breakfast. Good value overall.
For a stop over this is a convenient location to the autoroute and the room was clean. Breakfast ok, worth taking. Use of half landings for lift access makes heavy bag handling difficult - not for the disabled. Restaurant closed on Sunday (noted in booking confirmation) but few local options open made stop over a bit of a pain. The Buffallo Grill 1 mile away was ok though.
Very helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good location close to town centre and motorway and the icing on the cake was the sunny pool which was ideal way to cool down and relax after a long day's drive
Easy to find, very good location with it being just off the main road, quiet, on the whole very pleasant indeed. Service in the restaraunt slow, but in all fairness to them, the receptionist did warn us that there was a large party in that night and that they would deal with them first, we just picked the wrong night, unfortunately it was our wedding anniversary.
convenient for stop-over while travelling, with friendly staff and a cheerful breakfast room. We were grateful for an excellent recommendation for dinner as their own restaurant was closed. Quite a noisy street location, (though there is double glazing which helps if you don't mind sleeping without fresh air). The lift goes to half-landings instead of to your floor which is a bit inconvenient for carting luggage. We thought it rather expensive for what was on offer - compared with other hotels in France.
The hotel was in the centre of Issoire and not far from the beautiful countryside around. The room was large and very quiet.
very comfortable room ,Staff very helpful and friendly
Very helpful and friendly staff booked us in at a local restaurant when the hotel one was closed. Very quiet rooms and quite spacious for 2 adults and 2 children.
As a triple room we had plenty of room and it was all very clean Apart from the prices at the bar nothing really
Free wi fi. Friendly staff. Easy and relaxed
The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is convenient because it's close to the interstate. The room did not have a shower, only a bathtub. I think for 3 stars there should be a shower. We stayed on the night that the hotel restaurant was closed. The staff recommended a local restaurant for dinner. We did not have a good experience there.
One of the receptionists, Lise, was outstandingly helpful, the others were efficient. Hotel very convenient for stopover but also visiting Issoire and surrounding countryside.
The Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served late until 11am,which was good for tired families. Unfortunately, when we came for breakfast at 10.30. All the food was finished and it was not being replaced. We had to ask for pancakes, croissants and milk. The jars of Jams, Honey etc were empty, when they could have easily been replaced. It did not look good.
End room of the corridor which had a banner hanging outside. Pretty windy when we arrived and the banner rattled quite noisily. No room change possible but thankfully the wind eased otherwise it would have been a very poor night's sleep. Restaurant attached, Courtpaille serves very poor food - burnt and overcooked chicken and fish. Sadly, this is not a one off as we experienced the same thing at the Courtpaille at Marseilles Airport. Accor need to get advice about good value, well cooked food using the great produces France has to offer.
It was a very good motorway hotel for an overnight stop. Good value. It offers the level of comfort I would require. I compare it with Premier Classe which is too basic for my liking. Its very good to gave a receptionist and a little hospitality.Excellent overnight stop on my way to Sete via Millau. Conratulations on getting the formula right for someone who is the wrong side of 50 years old. No
clean, good breakfast, friendly staff
The room was suitable for my disabled husband.
Excellent location in the heart of the Auvergne area, in the cute town of St. Nectaire. Very nice facilities, including indoor and outdoor pool, and a wonderful garden. Not sure why this hotel advertises for access to wireless internet, and then wants you to pay ridiculous amounts to actually provide that service. The afternoon/evening reception staff needs coaching on his attitude that transpires condenscendence rather than hospitality. The morning staff is very friendly indeed, but requires coaching on technical functions like payment by credit card and ....the wireless service.
Clean, Modern, Excellent Food A Hotel of this size should have laundry facilities
Location is good, the town pleasant but we were out of season. The pool is too small to swim in, it has a jacuzzi in it but it's not warm enough to be relaxing, the building and grounds could do with some attention. Overall the stay was disappointing
good breakfast.....restruant staff..........relaxing Reception staff not advisory.....corporate
Good size comfortable bed. Peaceful surroundings.
beautiful chateau in a tiny old village, very nice owners, devoted to restoring the castle, complimentary visit of the chateau with a stay, authentic atmosphere. The place is truly charming! We started considering the purchase of a chateau...maybe...some day :) flies...a couple of them in the bathroom...
We liked the environment and the hotel as the castle in the surroundings no hot water and no reduction on the considerable cost of one night stay
large rooms with extra rooms for sitting with all the extras of home and lovely hosts
Rather noisy at night having room on the main road.
Beautiful location for this traditional French Hotel. A great stop-over for our journey to the Canal du Midi in the south of france.
Very friendly, family run. Fantastic food on the half-board. Secure parking and secluded outdoor pool, all well signed. None
Staff were terrific. Nice central location. Public areas of the hotel were exquisite. Do I lose Man Points for writing "exquisite" ?? Parking was a bit of a nightmare and not clearly signposted. We struggled for a good 30 minutes going round and round. To their credit the hotel comped us the parking. Cuneo as a town was a bit empty. It had promise. Same with the hotel. Lobby and staff are great, the rooms fine but a bit outdated.
The room was very small and grotty.
This was good value for money and more than adequate It was a little bit noisy there was a low level humming sound from something in the hotel during the night
The city and area
Very friendly reception staff; good, well-priced food; reasonably sized room with comfortable bed; excellent value for money. Overall St-Nectaire is a very pleasant village to visit, and this hotel is highly recommended as a base to visit it from.
Really enjoyed the friendly welcome from the dutch owner and the nice familly room. Really convenient privat (gratis) parking. Don't hesitate to go for the daily menu and the house wine
Very friendly Dutch owner who spoke perfect English. Tasty traditional food from the region at a reasonable price. Comfortable double room with adjoining twin.
Very good dinner Tea/coffee making in room would have been nice
The very warm welcome by the Dutch owner, excellent meal provided even though we were a little late, and extrremely comfortable beds with excellent quality linen. The bathroom was modern and it was all very clean. Very quiet for sleeping. Many jovial Dutch tourists were staying.Free car parking. The restaurant closes early (8.p.m.) which almost meant we were too late for dinner as we had assumed it would be open until 9.0 p.m. as in most French hotels. The menu is rather retrictive if you dont want the heavy Auvergne dishes. Hotel little bit difficult to find as it is out of St. Nectaire.
Friendly atmosphere; owner spoke a wide range of european languages fluently and was very accommodating. En-suites quite small and restrictive
Warm welcome, help with bags, typical small French hotel style. Terrace at front for drinks. Very good value. Breakfast was very good buffet. Huge, almost dangerous step up into shower. Very sensitive shower valve - difficult to set water temperature. Set evening menu was good but just lacked a little style in the presentation.
Easy to find. just off main route. room was clean and a good price None
Good food. Clean rooms. Good bed. Pity we didn't know that we had to reserve for dinner seperately, we had to find another place to dine on our onward trip.
easy access from motor way. very helpfull staff nothing was to much trouble.basic room but was clean and the bed was very comfortable
very good loction right next to the motorway so great if on the way down to south of France. we had a room on the fornt of the hotel so no noise from road, nice and quiet the room was very small, a double with tiny bathroom, could have done with being a little bigger
The room was very pleasant, the staff helpful, the location convenient and good parking facilities. Unfortunately it was icy cold in the room, which we could have coped with had the bedding not been entirely inadequate. A sheet, blanket and bed cover were insufficient for winter - a quilt is needed!
The hotel is brand new and right next to the motorway, so very convienient when travelling down to the south of france. The rooms are very modern and clean, and although not very spacious, they managed to get an extra bed in the triple room to accomodate me, my husband and our 2 young children. There was a small breakfast room which also served evening meals, which was great when we were hungry and just wanted to eat and crash, although I'd say the food was just 'good'. There was also a couple of swing and slide sets out the back to let the kids burn off some steam! There didn't appear to be anyone else staying at the hotel - we stayed on a minday night in august. Good value for money I thought.
Very convenient location for overnight stay when travelling on a75, very nice staff, clean. The room was very cold on arrival, the air-condition used to heat up was very loud and was difficult to sleep. The breakfast could be a bit better.
We arrived after 19:30hrs and the proprietors were very accommodating with providing a later dinner for my wife and young children. The location is peaceful with a running river on your doorstep and is quite secluded. The eating area was dimly lit and the hotel had a musty smell. In need of a refurb I think! But to be fair, the room rate reflected the level of luxury and facilities.
A very pleasant place to stay with most hospitable hosts. As an Englishman on his own, they were most accomadating.
Location by the river, very peaceful, helpful proprieter. Hotel dog, a black Labrador, was entertaining and adorable. Slightly musty smell in some parts of hotel.
We only booked a basic room as we stopped off here for just one night, but it was fine. Small but functional bathroom. Staff were pleasant. Dinner in the evening was very local french style food and it was very good, we tried the local wine and that was nice. Overall would probably book one of the bigger rooms if staying for longer, but no complaints. Air conditioning would have been nice as we stayed on a very hot night.
A very good kitchen.
Friendly staff. Excellent meals. Good location (with fountain) in village centre. Clean & comfortable room. The en-suite was a bit small.
excellent small town hotel close to autoroute good room and the restaurant food was the standard you would expect.
