Pros: A real treat! We booked on the spur of the moment arriving 40minutes after booking and given a warm friendly welcome by Michelle and Bernard. We left rested and revitalised after a good sleep delicious breakfast and stimulating conversation. Perfect
Pros: Our Hosts Michelle and Bernard were most welcoming, could not do enough for us !!
Cons: Nothing could have made our stay any better
Pros: A truly exceptional six course dinner with the FINEST and FRESHEST local cuisine. (Local meaning from right there, not "regional" from an area store). And attentive engaged service from Michele and Barnard.
Cons: Everything was FANTASTIC.
Located in Antoingt, Les Condamines is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Villeneuve-Lembron Chateau and Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We enjoyed our one night stay at this property. It's a smart eco property with very clean lines and we had a lovely large bedroom. It's situated in a pretty area which is very quiet. We were pleased to be invited to dinner with our hosts who provided a lovely meal with wine and local cheeses, and excellent company. We were unable to use the natural swiming pool due to stormy weather but it looked most inviting.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike at this property,
Pros: Quiet valley position, and really good facilities in a beautiful area, so we booked an extra day. The owners were very friendly and were great company at our evening meal, which was the most delicious home made food made from local ingredients. We would recommend the place to anyone, and would definitely try to go back if we were ever in the area again.
Pros: Beautiful room in a very relaxing and quiet location. Welcoming and friendly owner. Our room was very comfortable with our own sun terrace and easy access to the swimming pond (which is beautifully kept). Breakfast was exceptionally good, we were spoiled with home made bread and different jams.
Pros: Very relaxing sitting on the terrace after a long day travelling. Very good breakfast with homemade bread and jams
Pros: Was very happy that the room was lovely and cool as we stayed during the height of summer. Great evening meal and breakfast including lots of home grown and cooked ingredients. The hosts were very good company and made us very welcome.
Pros: A very warm welcome from the familt and our evening meal was with them
Pros: Great location, beautiful garden, temperature controlled room of a good size. Our hosts were superb making us feel like one of the family, and the food was outstanding and taken as part of the family which made for a very enjoyable experience.
Pros: Friendly owner, nice spot
Cons: Rooms are a bit small
Pros: An enjoyable multi-lingual evening with our hosts and family at the shared dinner table; good simple food, nothing pretentious. An attractive decking area in front of our room opened up on the natural swimming pool (which was the home of one very noisy frog overnight)
Cons: Small room, simply but attractively furnished. Breakfast was rather basic (home-made bread and jams, yoghurt only). Nothing doing in the village, but still makes for a pleasant stroll on a summer's evening

See hotel page In Puy-de-Dme? The Originals Boutique, Hotel Le Pariou, Issoire offers quality services, a few kilometres from Clermont-Ferrand. Whether you come as a family, a group, a couple or for a business trip, you will always be welcomed by an attentive team. With 54 rooms, this 3-star hotel is complemented by a fine restaurant, swimming pool, free parking and several meeting rooms.
Pros: Nice hotel, basic clean room lovely big bed, staff very pleasant, loved the pool table. Great position to explore the town, parking plentiful. BBC1 and 2 on the tv.
Cons: Felt a bit rushed with dinner as coach trip there and our food came out with no rest between courses and we had to choose all 3 courses at once when dessert is normally left until you can see how full you are, however food very good. And lack of choice of wine at the bar even though the restaurant had a good selection.
Pros: Room, restaurant and staff.
Pros: Stayed in this pleasant hotel on our way home from Spain, good location, easy to find with good parking and good restaurant. Also there is a festival in Issoire every Friday evening during the summer months with several outdoor live bands, well worth a visit.
Cons: Only downside is that it’s a bit pricey compared to other similar hotels
Pros: Everything!! A brilliant overnight stop on our way up through France. Close to motorway / great parking / lovely big room and comfy bed. Clean and good bathroom facilities . Staff all polite and very helpful .
Pros: The meal in the restaurant was good. The staff were lovely.
Cons: The hotel was far bigger than we expected, given the online description. The pool was small and overrun. The shower was interesting, it was fixed to the side not the end, so pointed at my pet hate, clingy shower curtains, rather than over the bath. The toilet roll was behind the toilet, so good contortionist practice. Our room had a great view of the air conditioning units. And you couldn’t sit up in bed, as it caused the bed to shoot across the room. Although the food was good, the website talked about Michelin stars, and it certainly didn’t live up to that! Tonight we are in a campanile, and to be honest, I’d give it a better review than here. Oh! And PAPER cups in the bedroom?!
Pros: Car parking with plenty of space in secure on site facility
Cons: Communal facilities a bit drab and outdated
Pros: Close to the Autoroute
Cons: The pictures miss sold the property

Pros: Very familiar and a storage room for a bicycle
Pros: The warm welcome, ease of communication and interesting conversation with the hosts, the splendid room, the fascinating decor, superb food, the relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like.
Pros: We had two meals, dinner and breakfast. Everything was freshly served, the meals were individually prepared and absolutely delicious. We were welcomed warmhearted and treated as loved family members. The rooms were set in different styles with taste as the whole house is.
Pros: Lovely characterful ambience. An excellent dinner and breakfast both taken in the garden
Pros: very nice and frendly host! We enjoy the stay
Pros: Great breakfast
Located in Issoire, Ace Hôtel Issoire is on a lake, within a 5-minute drive of Centre d'Art Roman and Chateau de Parentignat. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, an elevator, and a vending machine. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: We have stayed at this hotel many times and been happy with it . This time the comfort of the bed was awful . Time for refurbishment . I will not stay here again until it has been refurbished
Pros: Good location from motorway!
Cons: This hotel has become a bit rundown over the last couple of years. I have used frequently but now disappointing. Carpet was sticky, bathroom could have been cleaner. Room had terrible odour but all that was offered was a refresh spray!! Breakfast also not as good as a couple of years ago.
Pros: Location ideal.Dog friendly. Ample and secure carparking.
Cons: I've been using this hotel for years as a stopover when travelling to and from spain. Now rooms are looking a bit dated and require a refurbishment.
Pros: Everything book it
Pros: It is very close to A75 and is always consistently clean, welcoming and good value.
Cons: Very minor complaint might be the lack of an English language TV channel for news.
Pros: Good location, just off the A75 motorway with easy access into the town. Have stayed here several times before and the rooms are spacious & clean. We arrived the day before the heating for the "winter" season was due to be switched on, and the room was a bit cold - but the receptionist very kindly let us have a small portable heater which did the trick. Thanks!!
Pros: More spaceous and comfortable rooms than comparable hotels. Access to a microwave was very useful
Cons: A little far out for walking into the town

Pros: The evening meal was exceptionally good. I think that this restaurant is well worth its 2019 Michelin Bib Gourmand rating.
Cons: A very small point is that there could have been a soap dish in the shower cubicle.
Pros: We received a warm and friendly welcome, our upstairs room, above the restaurant and overlooking the square, was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and it was a peaceful night. We had not booked a table for evening meal, so it was lucky there was a table free (all the tables on the terrace were occupied). We enjoyed the menu "Découverte". Each course, even the Mise en bouche, was a perfect balance of ingredients and flavours. Congratulations to the chef de cuisine! We departed this morning after a simple, fresh, continental breakfast. Thank you, strongly recommended.
Cons: There was nothing which we did not like, however, we would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in our room.
Pros: Dinner was very good.
Cons: The room was poor.
Pros: Excellent dinner, very good cooking, nice staff.
Cons: Room was basic
Pros: Wonderful dinner as ever with very good village wines
Pros: Friendly staff, cosy hotel room and excellent food and service. I had the tasting menu which was very good. The wine also. Plus that they took good care of my bicycle during my stay.
With a stay at Château des Aiguilles in Saint-Rémy-de-Chargnat, you'll be a 4-minute walk from Parc Naturel Regional Livradois-Forez and within a 5-minute drive of Chateau de Parentignat. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: A very 'quirky' hotel hosted by 'Eric'. If you like faux in your bedroom - such as a suit of armour, this hotel will suit you fine. Eric maintains the 'chateau' is centuries old. I thought more 'nouveau', with much of the cement only recently dried out.
Cons: The breakfast was traditional petit dejeurner. I would have liked more for my money.
Pros: Original. Property off the beaten track. Quiet. The owner was most helpful & friendly.
Pros: The property was quirky and our host Eric gave us an enthusiastic welcome. The room was a good size and cool in the summer heat even without an air conditioner.
Cons: No desk to do paperwork or kettle to make hot drinks. Pool was smaller than it looked in the photos.
Pros: The host! he was very friendly, and helpful. Helped us even though there had been communication problem in the booking (no fault of his!!) nice room in castle style the included breakfast was above the the typical French breakfast!
Pros: Very good hospitality
Pros: Gorgeous place, quiet and pleasant. Welcoming host and nice menu at « table d’hote »
Cons: 2 dogs left free (very kind animal but I am phobic, this should be mentioned in description)
Pros: Very interesting building; the host (Eric) was clearly passionate about its history and upkeep. The interior decorative and furnishing theme in the public area and our room was consistently medieval (though happily this did not extend to the ensuite shower room which was modern and well equipped). We even had the Black Knight in full armour standing in a corner of our room.
Cons: Our room was quite dark and could have done with a brighter bulb in the central light. A couple of comfortable chairs would have been welcome, especially if staying more than one night (the knights of old clearly didn't expect to sit around reading kindles of an evening!) We had to travel into Issoire (7km) for an evening meal, but though we found plenty bars we had some difficulty finding a restaurant.

Clermont-Ferrand is 37 km from Domaine des Lilas, while Le Mont-Dore is 35 km from the property. The nearest airport is Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport, 36 km from Domaine des Lilas.
Pros: All very clean and a very friendly family. Room was immaculate.
Cons: The approach is difficult for those with disabilities - cannot drive up to or near the front door, so bringing in luggage somewhat tricky.
Pros: Very friendly family run hotel. Excellent English spoken of course, as they come from Holland. Room was spacious and clean, no TV but that didn't bother us. WiFi was very good. The shower was powerful. Breakfast was continental type and delicious - yoghurts, meat, cheese, croissants, and baguettes. English tea with milk was very welcome. Lovely.
Cons: Bit of a trek from car park to front door along a gravel path - not easy to wheel luggage. There was a chain across the road that leads to the house and we almost didn't see it in the twilight when we first got there. Needs a red flag or painted red maybe. One flight of stairs to our room a bit of an ordeal for my disabled wife.
Pros: The room is perfectly clean and charming. The environment is vast, they have a farm, toys for kids. I think this is a very nice place for families with kids. Bonus if you want to observe the sky there is very low light pollution offering you beautiful skies !!!
Cons: Bad acoustic insolation. We asked for a quiet room, we got the room next to the stairs, it was noisy every time people pass by the staircase and from the common living room. Breakfast on a big table with all the guest. If the guest are noisy, you have to deal with it.
Pros: The hosts welcomed us with our 2 children and kindly helped us to the room with our luggage. The guest house was very spacious and unique. It was clean and cozy. The outdoor areas were stunning. We love the nature and the outdoors so it was perfect for us and we can't wait to return again. Breakfast was perfect.
Cons: We stayed here for 1 night as a stopover. We wish we could have stayed a little longer.
Pros: Amazing setting with the most friendly family owned business ever
Pros: Calm, beautiful, close to the highway...

Pros: Very old and interesting place with excellent chef and wife who were very helpful....food delicious
Cons: Difficult for disabled.
Pros: Breakfast was allright.
Cons: Welcome was very bad. We were guided directly to our room. No formal welcome. Not asking who we were.
Pros: - outstanding place - a lovely host - a stunning view over the whole valley to the mountains - delicious food
Pros: The views were magnificent from our room - across the valley to the volcanos in the distance. Its' the second time we've stayed there and will definately stay again. It was a lovely evening and had our dinner on the balcony which was so nice.
Pros: Fantastic views from our room. The staff were great - it was hot the night we stayed and we were kindly offered a fan for our room. The dinner we had in the restaurant was also one of the best we’ve had in France! Well worth a visit.
Ibis Budget, the smart lodging choice! During your travels, sleep in a modern and pleasant room, equipped for up to 3 people (depending on the location), with a shower, toilet, and satellite TV, at a very smart price. Enjoy our inexpensive gourmet breakfast served from 6:30-9:30 a.m. weekdays and 7:30-10:30 a.m. on weekends.
Pros: The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was very effective. A very good overnight stop as a couple of minutes from the motorway.
Pros: Didn't have breakfast. Location great.
Cons: The coffee machine was out of order
Pros: Excellent location off motorway, easy to find. Located next door to a Buffalo Grill, perfect that we didn't have to search for a restaurant having arrived late.
Pros: Next to the motorway with secure parking! Restaurant next to the hotel.
Pros: Excellent place to relax on my way to come back from Spain,,, near to MacDonald and super market
Cons: There should be a family room where there are two rooms next to each with a door that u can enter their without needing to go outside like for example the ibis hotel in Orleans, France
Pros: Location was just what we needed
Pros: Adequate - coffee poor
Cons: Coffee was poor
Pros: Close to places to eat
Cons: Beds hard
When you stay at La Chaumiere Des Vigneaux in Le Broc, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Centre d'Art Roman and Chateau de Parentignat. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, microwave in a common area, and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: air condition, room was very hot.
Pros: Good location en route to Spain, easy to find.
Pros: Everything else was excellent. Great room and lovely to have a bath. A real plus was fresh coffee after a long drive (and tea). Very comfortable bed and pillows. Fab for my two little dogs too.
Cons: The traffic noise from the bedroom prevented me from sleeping. If you are a light sleeper it's not the place for you. Also you need a torch to put in the door code
Pros: every thing
Pros: The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was adequate
Cons: About the standard of a third rate hostelry, I should imagine. No staff available on arrival and only received an e- mail 48 hours before arrival giving us our room no and entry code. We might never have received this and would have been at a loss on arrival - very unsatisfactory! All very, very basic. On the local road and very and close to noisy motorway and railway line. Had we arrived earlier and not pre-paid we would have left and found somewhere more appropriate. It is probably more suitable for a budget wedding venue rather than B & B guests.
Pros: Easy to find
Cons: A bit hostel like
With a stay at Campanile Clermont Ferrand Sud - Issoire in Issoire, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Centre d'Art Roman and Chateau de Parentignat. Cons: Should have been a no smoking room but smelled of smoke from previous occupant.
Pros: Everything was great and we had a superb stay
Pros: Easy to find, very nice welcome, delicious food
Pros: The staff was helpful.
Cons: The beds were extremely hard. The airconditioning did not function at all.
Pros: Close to motorway great staff
Cons: Grubby and not enough towels Only one small towel each
Pros: Lovely staff Good Evening Meal
Cons: One of the bottom floors appeared to be used by refugees They cooked in their rooms and the smell of fats was awful.
The Hotel ibis Issoire is 0.6 miles (1 km) from the center of Issoire, near to a shopping mall and the A75. The hotel is located close to the Auvergne mountains, the Issoire lake and is 18.6 miles (30 km) from the Super Besse ski area. It has 40 air-condi tioned rooms with WIFI, including 2 adapted for people with reduced mobility. A Courtepaille restaurant, bar, 24-hour snack service and a private enclosed outdoor car park are available.
Pros: Position to motorway and shops around
Cons: Food badly microwaved
Pros: Location just off the motorway
Cons: The double room was extremely compact. Just enough room to walk around the bed! Only seemed to be one front counter member of staff dealing with customers checking in and running the bar! Waited 20 minutes to be served for a drink. It is not a complaint at the single member of staff doing all she could. More a fact she could and should have had help
Pros: Room lean and comfy. Room spacious
Cons: No tea and coffee making facilities in room
Pros: Breakfast was generous with good selection of food. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Very acceptable for an affordable overnight stay.
Cons: The dinner was not good. The food was microwaved and still almost frozen in the centre (dangerous with chicken) although the very pleasant member of staff heated it further on request. The restaurant was rather bleak and I wouldn't recommend eating dinner there.
Pros: The hotel was a good overnight stop for us on our way home. There is an excellent restaurant next door.
Cons: We arrived on a very hot afternoon to find the air conditioning had broken down. The management were very apologetic and it was being worked on.
Pros: Comfortable hotel, a little hard to find
Cons: No air conditioning, although did supply fan on request
Pros: The bar and restaurant areas were clean and comfortable. The room was adequate for 1 night
Cons: The shower leaked, the towels were very poor and the air conditioning was tempremental.
