When you stay at Chambres d'Hôtes Bienvenue in LʼAbsie, you'll be 11 minutes by car from Pescalis Aquarium. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly host, tasty breakfast, comfortable room
Cons: Was a bit cold in the night
Pros: Breakfast was good but would have been nice to have the option of decaf coffee. The room was spotless - no mean feat given its size.
Cons: It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in our room.
Pros: Friendly staff and good breaffast
Pros: Dean was a very lovely and accommodating. We have stayed in many chambre d'hotes and this is by far the best one!
Cons: Parking, there was an event in the centre thus had to park a little far.
Pros: great ambiance, interesting old house, quiet little town with Brit owned 'Pub' just around the corner, good food and my favourite Wiltshire beer! Dean very helpful amiable host. Recommend highly.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: Nice comfy stay with friendly host.
Pros: Everything !! Lovely huge suit, bed to die for. Lovely place. Great host
Pros: Chambres d'Hotes was perfect for our last minute, one night stay. It is the right distance from most of the ferry ports to be perfect for an overnight, or longer stay for a group of tired motorcyclists. There is loads to do in the local area. Despite us not booking until late afternoon/early evening and springing ourselves on him last minute, Dean was more than accommodating. We had originally booked the family cottage but when Dean realised we were all adults and the room had bunkbeds, he was more than happy to change us to 2 beautiful connecting rooms in the main house, at no extra cost. Both of which had en suite facilities and a hand basin in the room, with plenty of towels. The house is a wonderful mix of old French style and modern facilities, was beautifully decorated and has some amazing pieces of French furniture. Dean has made it his own and there are lots of personal and quirky bits and pieces throughout. The beds were so comfortable and I was delighted to see the lovely quilts (I quilt myself). We had a traditional French breakfast with copious amounts of tea and coffee and when a friend joined us Dean very kindly provided him with coffee, free of charge. The perfect start to another day of riding. I cant rate Chambres d'Hotes and Dean's hospitality enough. I would highly recommend as it it exactly right for travelling to or from the ferry ports for a first or last night stay. Thank you for your hospitality Dean, we will be back.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing about Dean's home, not to like. Despite our late booking everything was in place for us arriving.

I moved to France in January 2015 with my beautiful wife, Julia and ever growing son, James. We now live in our lovely house which we are sure you will like as much as we do. I am a chef and really enjoy cooking our meals and we both enjoy making our superb fruit jellies with the fruit picked from the trees on our land. As well as our hospitality we invite you to enjoy the calming, picturesque countryside, the quiet, soft, rolling hills and cooling lakes. We have two friendly dogs, Jos and Jilo and you may also meet our five little hens, three sheep and Rambo the Ram. We have a light and airy, comfortable size double room as well as a pretty little single room that can accommodate two single beds if required. The guest bathroom has a large shower and WC.

Pros: Nice people. Not expensive.
Cons: My front room was very noisy as it was on the main road. No kettle and the hairdryer was broken. It is Rooms above a restaurant and when the restaurant is shut you have to telephone in French for an entry code. Fine for one night Would not recommend for longer.
Cons: Flies in the breakfast room around the food
