Pros: This property is situated in a secluded rural area in the Ardeche. The surrounding area is very beautiful and the hotel is its jewel. A guest cannot help but feel relaxed and happy. The optional five course meal is a must!
Pros: The chateau is stunning and has been beautifully and sympathetically restored.
Cons: The meals let the chateau down. The evening meal, whilst tasty and using seasonal, local ingredients, was far too simplistic for the cost. There was an additional charge made for the aperitif of 12.50 euros per person which we had not expected and were not informed of until checking out. Water for the table was bottled and charged extra - tap water was not offered. There was no choice of wine - we were simply asked if we would like the chefs recommendation which we later found out was 37 euros for the bottle. Coffee after the meal was charged extra - again we were not informed until checkout. Whilst we did expect to pay a little more for the setting and ambience within the chateau an evening meal at 100 euros per person should have been exceptional and it wasn't. The breakfast included delicious homemade juice and preserves however the pastries and bread were obviously supermarket offerings.
Pros: The Chateau is amazing. The staff are warm and caring. Great experience. I recommend dinner at the Chateau.
Pros: The Chateau has been beautifully restored and kept to theme with beautiful period furniture. Comfort was not an issue- modern beds and bedding made for a luxurious stay. We booked for our anniversary, as a night off the autoroute on our way north. Incredibly situated amongst the Ardeche hills it felt really remote. Service and warmth of the hosts and staff was amazing. We borrowed bikes and went down one of the many car-free biking/walking trails nearby. The aperitif with other guests was really nice and dinner - the chef Benjamin hit it out of the park.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. Five star service, excellent food, incredible surroundings.
Cons: No choice of evening meal, poor breakfast spread.
Pros: Wonderful experience staying in the beautifully renovated chateau. Beautiful location and room but the highlight of our stay was definitely the romantic dinner for two. Chef Ben served the most wonderful selection of local produce!

Pros: Extremely nice and helpful hostess.
Pros: Love this hotel set in the middle of the town. Large clean room with lovely comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Cons: Breakfast not included in price so paid extra but was not great, continental style. Had to ask for tea coffee milk for cereal(cornflakes only). Croissants left on each plate but flies on them. French bread left to cut but no cloth to use while cutting or to protect from flies. Ditto jam, no lids so open to flies... Booked for the pool to cool off after long drive, but could not because we arrived at 7 and the restaurant was about to open so the pool was closing.
Cons: In town. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff.

Pros: This is the place to be if you need to spend quality time with your kids in the middle of the natural landscapes of Ardèche. The house is beautifully maintained, very clean, and offers a small playground for kids to spend good time + a swimming pool. We were very much pleased to stay for dinner with the property owners (although the price is slightly high for the region 30Euro/person) we enjoyed the food and the time. They are very nice people, very welcoming, and careful to our kids (2years old, and 4.5months). We felt like at home ! A couple of activities kids friendly, around the area. We visited la Petite Clairière with several farm animals. Our baby could feed the animals. Good experience. The owners were very informative and available for questions. They prepared several documentation to help us visit the area, and make choices in terms of activities to do. They have dogs , easy to live and sweet with our baby of 2 years who enjoyed their accompany. Cleanness of the property
Cons: Only the price of the dinner : a bit expensive for the area 30Euro/person. For us this is the average price in Switzerland, knowing it i s a more expensive country than France. Though the meals were good ! Far from everything (although that was our choice). Just make sure that you take everything you need with you,

Pros: Completely charming room; very comfortable bed; delicious breakfasts; wonderful location and friendly hosts who looked after us really well.
Cons: It would have been the icing on the cake to have a tea tray in the room. I expect if we'd asked, we would have been given one though.
Located in Le Crestet, Hotel Restaurant la Terrasse is within a 15-minute drive of Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park and Château de Maisonseule. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice location, pretty terrace, nice garden, small pool, and great restaurant with local food and wine.
Cons: The bedrooms were quite basic, quite an old fashioned bathroom.
