Convenient location, rooms reasonable size, efficent reception staff. Large party dining meant slow service at dinner, plus they had run out of some dishes. Bar was closed.
Nice foyer and bar area. rooms very basic for a 3 star, not even a kettle in the room. i requested a table for dinner on booking but there was a wedding on and no food for guests. next night there was no catering due to changeover of chef.
Clean, spacious enough and a settee to read or watch tv Lack of towel rails in the bathroom
Most noticeable was the friendliness of the staff. They were also very helpful. One lady on the reception actually offered us her own personal umbrella on the Sat when we were going to attend a wedding as it had started raining outside, which was very very nice of her :) The beds were comfy and the hotel location good for trips into Nantes city centre. The bathrooms could use some updating with proper shower heads and shower curtains that fit the tub. Also, the buffet breakfast needs some improvement as the selection was not always fresh and there was not a lot of choice either. Lunch menu was also very limited ( couldn't even request a salad, as it was not on the menu ! )
When en route to chanel ports excellent gourmet stop off Breakfast needs improvement
We arrived at the hotel 1.30am was nobody inside but short notice was left for us how to get in. The swimming pool had a green water.
Comfort ~ great, facilities ~ great, food (dinner) ~ superb, breafast ~ excellent Nothing we didn't like .. we were 'stopping over' en route further south in France .. our cars were full of luggage etc. A garage or secure compound to enable us to leave the cars packed overnight would have been excellent and worth an additional charge.
The restaurant was a bit dated and the food was expensive and not very exciting.
The hotel we stayed at was lovely, friendly hosts, clean rooms - lovely new swimming pool and a peaceful lake to walk around. Close to Saumur which is a lovely area and plenty to see in this area. Maybe have tea/coffee facilites would be nice but other than that I would recommend it.
Friendly staff and very nice dinner. Good with the kids aged 8 and 13 No stationery/pens/pencils/ in the rooms
We arrived at St Malo on the ferry bound for the Royan so locationwise it was ideal. A few miles before the confusing Nantes ring-road. Just by the N137. The family room was very spacious. Tthe restaurant menu was not ideal for families with young children (A La Carte), however I guessed this before booking so it was not a big deal.
The food. It's next door to the Nantes/Rennes road, which wouldn't be much fun for a week's holiday. Fortunately we were there for one night. There was a large cordoned off hole in the lawn just outside our room. Not pretty!
The garden and pool area. Also very good restaurant. We did not have air conditioning in our room.
Restaurant was good quality but quite expensive. Very close to Route National and not as well situated as web site suggested. Facilities in room a bit basic for the price.
User friendly easy to find we enjoyed the restaurant car parking easy with easy access to main roadNo No
The attitude of the staff. The predictability of the service. The cleanliness. It's only a small point but the snacking menu is a bit light. As we arrived on public holiday, we couldn't easily find other places open. SOme items on menu were not available. No great problem. We were looked after well.
Family room booked, double bed and 2 singles. Stopover en route to holiday destination. Excellent room and shower room. Clean etc and really good value 64 euro for the room. Secure location, we arrived after midnight and needed to telephone the hotel so that they could send security guard to open the gate to let us in (took less than one minute). Modern hotel. Excellent value. no negatives but we arrived very late and departed the next morning.
the front of the hotel looked average but on entering it was lovely well decorated and the rooms were so clean the food was great too.
The room was adequate with a great view of the town square and church and the hotel setting was rather peaceful. The type of food in the restaurant.
Have stayed before and found it to be extremely comfortable and clean
The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was excellent, the breakfast was also very good and the staff friendly and helpful.
Central location to village and the fact that there was a medieval fete on in the village whilst we were there. Evening meal was very good indeed, with french families coming to the hotel to eat for 'special occasions' which suggested it has a good reputation in the area.
Good reception from "le Patron", superb room, good breakfast. None
For a small hotel in a small French village the accommodation was superb. The restaurant was excellent providing nouveau cuisine which for one night's stay was first class and very enjoyable. I would not want to eat there more than once during a visit. Everything was first class with very friendly staff.
the service was very good, but the food in the restaurant a bit expensive for what it was
Comfortably recently refurbished hotel - very helpful and friendly staff despite our lack of french. They happily served us breakfast in the bar an hour after the dining rooms had finished serving breakfast!
