8.8 Excellent
Pros: A little bit hard to find but that is the satnav's fault. Rooms were superb and old but the bathroom was excellent. Hotel has a bar but no restaurant. There are places within walking distance to eat. English couple own it until June, then they are moving on and new people will take over.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietors, Jack and Gizmo, who were very welcoming. The staff spoke good English, for foreigners, and tried hard as hosts, succeeded. Use of kitchen was great. Breakfast excellent too. My bathroom could have housed another double bed. What a view from it!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This could probably be the most beautiful hotel we've stayed in. The owners clearly have an eye for style and comfort and the hosts Ian and Anthony are so friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome. You will not want to leave the place
Cons: If I could pick this hotel up and the owners and put it in a different location in the dordogne or further south I would .Unfortunately La Soutteraine was not for us .
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely small B&B in the middle of the countryside. The restaurant in town that we went to in town was one of the best we’ve been to in France. The hosts, Anthony and Ian, were the highlight of the stay, but they will not be there after June.
Cons: I loved everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stop over, pool and welcome drinks were just what we needed after a long and hot journey. The owner booked us a table at the local restaurant, which was delicious, and good value. Breakfast was lovely, good selection with lots of home made preserves. Would definitely return.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house with lovely furnishings. The welcome was very warm from the hosts. We would certainly recommend it for an overnight stop which is what we booked it for. Handy for the supermarket and town.
Cons: It’s a shame it has now been sold by the couple and they are moving. Hopefully the new owners will keep it up. The town is very quiet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Serge and Sarah are world class hosts. This isn't a hotel, this is a chateau, their home...and a grand one at that. The room was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Parking isn't an issue within the grounds of the chateau, ample space. The wine choice is extremely good and very reasonably priced. The food was prepared by Serge - a talented man in the kitchen indeed. The food can only be described as outstanding and is again very reasonably priced. Organic produce is used wherever possible and some is grown in the grounds. Breakfast was also just as impressive.
Cons: Nothing. It couldn't have been improved upon.

Pros: What a lovely stay with Cheryl & Phil! We visited their beautiful home for one night only and it was a wonderful stay. Both Cheryl & Phil made us feel at ease upon our arrival, they offered us refreshments and snacks too. They also recommended a restaurant in the local town, made us a reservation and drove us there so we could enjoy a nice bottle of wine between us! A real down to Earth couple with a lovely sense of security around them and their home. The property is very typically French with the original floors and wooden beams throughout. We had booked a smaller room but as we were the only booking of the night, Cheryl offered us a bigger room with a roll top bath which was amazing!

I will absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, sound fulfilling break away.

Pros: Lovely place, with good food and nice size rooms. Had a family room which was in fact two adjoining rooms which was great. Would recommend
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great budget stopover for us. The Allo Allo is a bar with a small restaurant. The food menu is not extensive but there should be something for everyone, the portions are generous and well cooked. Breakfast is included and is 'standard' continental, very fresh bread and croissants! The sleeping accommodation is in a separate house so no noise or disruption from the bar. Nice room for the price and all very clean, the owner was very friendly and is completely bi-lingual.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent

Cons: Cheeses not available as an alternative to desserts,

Pros: Clean comfortable room and bathroom. Perfect for overnight stay. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Lady on reception was very helpful when I had left my glasses at the restaurant we went to for lunch.
Cons: Bar & restaurant not open in the evening, breakfast item ran out in a morning and not topped up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We booked and paid in advance for a suite and it was worth every penny. A large room with excellent facilities and complimentary drinks. As they do not have a restaurant on site dinner is available at the Campinale across the road. This offers a good menu with the buffet providing the better value. Breakfast is available in the Kyriad and offers a good selection to set you up for the day. A good mid France sopping off point.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and where we were traveling with our daughter we wanted a bed that was comfortable and not a small camp bed. The single bed was comfortable and we had a happy daughter.
Cons: I feel breakfast should have been included in the price because every day we had to go to the “histoire de pain” that was up the road which the breakfast was very good but feel the hotel maybe should have something like that.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and good location. Restaurant Campanile directly opposite was very good
Cons: No negative comments
8.3 Excellent

Cons: Shower could of been slightly more powerful

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were lovely, and helpful beautiful house and area
Cons: The stairs as I am diabled
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this B&B is ideal but not really within easy walking distance of facilities. They are only a short drive away but a couple of kilometres from the town which is uphill all the return trip. Having said that, the communication before my visit was excellent and the welcome upon my arrival was outstanding. Warm, accommodating with enough information to ensure nothing was missing. Both hosts are charming and a pre-dinner drink and nibbles was very welcome after my travels. The room was spotless, comfortable and perfectly adequate. Overall, excellent value-for-money and I'd be delighted to return if I were in the area.
Cons: Nothing really that comes to mind.

Cons: The only thing was the room was really quite cold could of done with some blow heaters at the colder times of year!
4.5 Okay
Pros: Authentic, friendly and extremely helpfull owners
Cons: Personally after my back operation, carrying luggage up tp a aecond floor was not fun.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just excellent all round. Had been let down by another b&b, so panic-booked this via McDonalds wifi! Amazing luck to land on our feet. Went for a bike ride with the owner and broke my back wheel... so he lent me one, simply telling me to drop it back when I came back this way a week later. Great big room, decent breakfast, lots of room for the toddler to let off steam outside, friendly dog, great welcome. Am already booked back in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Owners were fantasticly welcoming. Room was spacious. Location was out of the way and very peaceful. Breakfast was ample.
Cons: Bed mattress was a little thin for my big frame, but that's being picky. Still slept ok.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice lots of character bed was comfy breakfast was good people very friendly and helpful
Cons: Lovely house lots of parking nice people
5.0 Okay
Pros: The couple who welcomed us was nice and friendly.
Cons: All rooms were on the 3rd floor. It was not mentioned on the description. My mother is 85 yo and walks slowly with a cane. It was really hard for her to go up and down by herself and limited her movements. All rooms didn't have the same equipment. Hangers for the towels in the bathroom for ex. My dryer didn't work in our room, but worked in my parents' room.. All touristic documents at disposal were in English. Some information (maps, flyers, etc.. in French would be helpful.. Suggestions for restaurants were poor (only 2)
9.5 Excellent
Cons: I would definitely add a door to the downstairs bedroom for privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Marie is a lovely lady who made me feel at home immediately with her fluent English and positive attitude, The property is a beautiful old house oozing with character
Cons: Due to my late arrival and early departure I could not see the surrounding countryside which I,m sure is beautiful

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel decor was nice
Cons: Not suitable for disabled to many stairs. No lift and no ground floor rooms, Toilet far to small, room not very large. Do not go on a Tuesday as hotel is closed until 5.30 pm, you have to wait outside and try and find somewhere to go in the very small village, we found a cafe. Must have car as hotel is the only eatery until the weekend. Also we where not informed that breakfast was not inclusive or the cost of the Breakfast until I was paying. Only served continental breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel, where there is great pride taken in its presentation and the presentation of the food served. The evening meal was an exceptional experience
Cons: There was no air conditioner in the room.
