Pros: Very peaceful and the staff were welcoming. Spacious room, great for a family of five. Nice and clean and breakfast was more than adequate. Hotelier kindly helped us plan our route home.
Cons: Would be helpful to have an internal walkway to the main part of the hotel, and to have the simple menu also in English.
Pros: We arrived very late and despite the time and the fact that the kitchen should have been closing, the hotel owners made us a delicious evening meal. They made us feel very welcome and we would definitely return, hopefully for more than just one night.
Pros: Nice location, parking, Wi-Fi, restaurant.
Cons: Breakfast needs more choice, access road to rooms not paved.
Pros: Room large and clean. Great views.
Cons: Car park at back of hotel, along an unmade road. Not sure whether it was being redone ,or been like for ages. Needed a bit of TLC. Needed to eat there as a long way from anywhere else - food was good though.
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Alittle bit like a hostel
Pros: The staff were very helpful and kind. The rate was very good.
Cons: The hotel is in a magnificent position but there are no views from the bedroom that we occupied because the second row of the hotel is situated right behind the main building. Also the design of the main building hides much of the view even from the restaurant. It is a great pity as the hotel is in a wonderful setting. There is no electric plug available by the computer table in the bedroom (at least that was the case in the room we occupied) and the hotel does not offer facilities such as tv, telephone, hair dryer or iron (which was kindly provided by the staff as a favour).
Pros: We only stayed in the hotel for 1 night, en route to Spain. The warm welcome of the staff was really nice and even though we arrived late and the kitchen was closing, they provided us with a nice warm meal. We really like the family rooms a lot. It was good value for money.
Pros: Peaceful setting, good view (1300m above sea level), clean rooms, novel layout (which the kids liked), an excellent meal of turkey in tarragon sauce and a delicious (if slightly sloppy) chocolate mousse. Very pleasant staff. Generally good value for money.
Cons: A bit remote and a long winding ascent up the mountain. Currently looking a bit tatty on the outside due to renovation work. Rooms a bit spartan and the stairs up to the mezzanine are quite steep. It's a bit of a hike back down the mountain to find a meal if you didn't want to eat in the restaurant.
Pros: Their help and general attitude
Pros: Location stunning. Staff excellent, very attentive. Quad room clean, modern & very comfortable. Very enjoyable stay.
Cons: It rained in the morning !!
When visiting Clavieres, Le Relais de Clavières is a great choice to consider. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or wind down at the end of the day with a drink from the bar/lounge.
Pros: Very good location, near to the motorway in a pleasant rural village. Great rural views. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant rather pretentious, but v good food for dinner.
Cons: Fight hard for the house wine if you want it at dinner, and they will very reluctantly let you have it! Breakfast poor for the price.
Pros: Staff were very helpfull, Room was Clean & comfortable; The¨"Le Rocher Blanc Experience" was one to be repeated when I am next in the area, preferably for more than 1 night
Cons: Unavailability of Wi-Fi in my room (Due to location I think)
Pros: We have used this hotel several times as a one night autoroute stop and the owner always remembers us. The general atmosphere is friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent.
Cons: NO !!!!
Pros: The staff at Le Rocher Blanc were really friendly and helpful. The decor was quirky and fascinating. The rooms were individually detailed and the beds were very comfortable. The dinner menu was excellent and we thought good value for money. Great advice on wine choice too. We were travelling through France and the proximity to the motorway was very convenient - easy to find.
Pros: Good access to motorway, unfortunatly arrival was after dinner,(11pm) and there was no oppotunity to experince the restaurant facilities
Cons: The buffet breakfast was the same as continental, but cost more
Pros: The hotel was nice and clean and the staff were friendly
Cons: The location of the hotel was quite remote, also the restaurant was expensive.
Pros: the food and the swimmingpool
Cons: christmas decorations in the summertime
Pros: We chose this hotel as a stop off en-route to the South of France, we didn't want an F1 or similar but didn't want to pay a fortune. It is only half a mile form the A75 but in lovely countryside. It has a comfortable, friendly bar with a few locals in. Good relaxed atmosphere, after a long drive on a hot day you can have cold beer at the bar or out on the terrace. Welcome was friendly but efficient, room was very comfortable with an excellent bed best I have had for some years. Be aware the restaurant menu is not cheap but the food is very good. The cheapest was €20p/p for 2 courses With the room @ only €58 for 2 you soon spend more than the room. It is a great stop-off and we would use it again. Hope this helps.
Pros: Swimming pool
Pros: The very nice indoor swimming pool in the neighbouring barn. The overall decoration of the hotel and rooms.
