The hotel in in a superb countryside seting, large bedroom and great atmosphere. Quiet setting
The restaurant was superb. The best food we had in Normandy, which says a lot because we had a lot of good food. Parts of the room had not been dusted in quite a while.
I liked the country setting and walks and the relaxed atmosphere around the swimming pool. The free bikes were in a terrible condition and unroad worthy. The gourmet food was let down by a very poorly prepared main course (lamb).
A very nice Renaissance "hunting pavillon" right in the middle of a deep forest. A calm and cosy place to rest. Rooms are rather noisy as the structure is old and poorly insulated. This is not really acceptable in such a pricely hotel.
Staff amiable and helpful. beautiful hunting lodge. nice food, good breakfast with great coffee! Bedroom sombre needs more lighting. surprised not one vegetarian dish on the menu.
The standard room we booked was extremely nice - with bed and breakfast for £100 a couple very good value. Room was a good size with a large comfortable double bed, and all very clean. The bathroom was also very clean a good size, with marble effect finish. The breakfast provided a good choice with bread etc... refreshed during service to ensure it was fresh. The staff were very helpful and friendly although they had limited command of English which for us added to the charm. The swimming pool although not big was clean and ample for it's purpose. A refreshing treat. I can't fault the hotel location or the welcome or cleanliness. I would not hesitate to recommend it. The evening meal we had was a little pricy (started at 25 euro's for a two course meal up to about 50 euro's per person, 16 euro's for a cheap bottle on wine ranging to very expensive). That said we couldn't fault the food it's self and service (which was Cordon Bleu style incl half pigeon, sole etc...). To eat elsewhere would mean a short drive.
The staff was very friendly in accomodating us and the petite mason was perfect for my brother and I. No
Comfortable large room, lovely grounds Rather formal, food quite expensive, reception not particularly welcoming
No food, no staff after 6pm, wrong codes on booking forms for door entry, very very frustrating after 7hr drive.
Clean bedding, friendly staff
Staff extremeley helpful, made welcome and sorted ou the extra bed we required Family rooms do not anticipate 3 children - the family suite was very hard to fit the roll-awa bed into
quiet at night,no noise, good location for touring local area. arrived saturday night, bar was closed at 7p.m when we arrived, didn't open sunday night,no breakfat sunday morning.
The room was uncomfortable, basic and quite shabbily furnished. There were no facilities either in the room or at the hotel so we were unable to get anything to eat or drink from our arrival until the following breakfast. There was no staff on duty after 5.00pm so the hotel was noisy with people wandering the corridors banging doors etc until early hours of the morning. The breakfast provided was of a poor standard and overpriced at 7 euros
None Automated check in procedure failed. Telephone contact to remote location necessary to obtain entry details. Restaurant closed on arrival at 2000hours. No breakfast facilities at any time.
Very good food. The staff were very attentive and the parking was good.
Easy to find No facilities for getting a drink , bar never open , restaurant never open , no vending machine , no tea or coffee facilities in the room !
