- There is no 24h reception and the phone support is not working properly. Every time you call the phone support, you need to wait at least 2h for them to call you back. There are no weekly room cleaning. The bed in fact is a sofa, which is not so confortable. The hotel is overpriced!
Nothing Poor beds and hardly nothing for breakfast
It's a new Apartment. Rooms are large and nice. The kitchen is very small. Parking is large and accessible by lift. We arrived on Saturday at 17h. The front door and the reception were closed. At the door was a telephone number (hotline). Only an answering machine - no one called back! After calling mare than 10 times and waiting in the queue, somebody replay. Very difficult communication! We received two codes: one for the entrance door and an other for the safe with the room key. No staff ! ! !
very good prportion of price / value, size of rooms, new building, cleanliness
Everything was corect, nothing special, good for passing thru. Garage available, and safe. Also, the hotel feels safe. At 8 o'clock in the morning the alarm went on for 15 min. and nobody explained why?! STrange chemical smell is present.
Quiet suburban location without being too far away from the city centre.Bus stop in front of hotel. Not cheap but reasonable for a similar class hotel.Generally clean and safe. Outside of Paris metro zone 1-2.No direct metro line.
the bed was big. Lack of bar, restaurant was like eating in a kitchen with flourecent lights everywhere.. very cold atmosphere so i didn't bother. Wireless (bearing in mind I travel constantly using wifi) was totally frustrating.. gettting a connection and IP address to assign to 2 of my devices was near on impossible. No fault with my kit either.
Not bad for the price, very helpful No complaints
Service Rooms a bit dirty. Mildew on bathroom walls
cleaning the rooms only the rooms is very small specailly for triple room and the price is not good also the hotel location is in no facility area and one of the staff was very nervous and didn;t cooperate in any thing with us
Inexpensive, free parking, convenient for rer across the park, clean, quiet, I wasn't looking for luxury
There was a sunday mess downstairs and we couldn't sleep at all. Lost christians were singing something strange. Did God ask them to sing? Was Prophet (!!!) Jesus singing? Completely lost religion
Very nice staff. Clean room Not very close to the center of paris but very easy acces with bus and metro.
The hotel is in a good location, and although it has somewhat outdated decoration the room was clean and represented great value for money.
the lovely views, the helpful and courteous staff, and great food and stylish comfortable rooms.
St. Germain en Laye is a stunning town on the outskirts of Paris. Pavillion Henri IV is a stunning historic palais, with marbled entry way, a five star restaurant, and an outside deck overlooking paris. The sense of elegance steeped in history is worth the visit. When you order a cab for the airport, specify a taxi, not a limo. I ended up with a 90 euro drive to the airport!
Calm. Decoration. History (birthplace of Louis XIV). Restaurant closed in August
The fantastic view, both from our room and from the restaurant. The spacious room accomodations and excellent quality of both the Dinner and the Service. The only slight criticism would be the floor tiling in the bath room could stand to be updated/renewed.
I spent one night at the hotel before going in the morning to airport. I had dinner at the hotel Hotel need some renovation
the view to Paris and the town of St Germain a little outworn
Wireless broadband internet. Spacious rooms. Ambiance and fabulous view over the city. Too few free power outlets in the room. The quality of the restaurant is good but prices are relatively high.
surroundings, view, spacious rooms, parking limited service (lobby, terrace)
Lovely room and view Very expensive, €16 for a poor continental breakfast.
The location is superb with open views over Paris, the Seine and a short journey to town, especially La Defense business district. Needs an upgrade of facilities. Problems with the door, internet access and plastic sheeting which had to be taken off the bed.
Fast, free wireless internet. Delicious breakfast, good restaurant. Fitness center. Less than 5 min from train station. Safe area with many good nearby restaurants.
Breakfast The complaint is rather about the service between booking.com and the hotel: 2 hours later, the hotel still did not know about my booking ! And when I wanted to modify the booking from 2 days to 1 day, booking.com gave the not so funny answer that the hotel had no available room !!!
reduced price for week end, nice place near RER
Bed, TV, Internet Breakfast was extra to pay and not that good....
location - cleanliness
You can reach la defense with taking rer trains. Better to look a hotel in downtown.
The staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was in an excellent location that made trips into Paris and the surrounding towns, via RER, very easy. The restaurants in Rueil 2000 were within easy walking distance and offered good service at reasonable prices. No.
the tranquility. perfect english language of the front desk staff. Proximity to the train station was a big advantage. didnt have to use the taxi room service lack of english language and have to pass info thru the front office desk
The staff was very polite and helpful. The food was nice though a bit rich. The Spa and swimming pool facilities were perfect and very relaxing. The rooms are compact with everything one would expect in a French 3 stars hotel. The restaurant menu was a bit restricted in its choices, one would struggle to eat there everyday for more than 2 days without re-ordering the same dish. While a spa, the restaurant clearly focuses on heavy and rich traditional french cuisine wih no "healthy" choices.
comfortable and spacious facilities . Nice view of the river and. location more fit as business hotel. alot of goog intensions without the final touch. Big shower heads with not enough water pressure. Automatic lights in rooms don't always shut or turn on when you need them to. Request for extra blanket or pillow were turned down.
The location, near Paris, is great. Within 10 minutes you are in Paris. I stay at this hotel every 2 or 4 weeks when i come from Holland by car. I took this hotel because of the value for money but after 5 months things are not the same as in the beginning. For example, every weekend they shut down the hot water and then tell you that 'you are the only one' - When you call back later (new shift started) the other person tells you that the entire building is using the exact same pipes. After 3 times without hot water in the weekend and the way the personal acts when we ask them about it i doubt that i will be coming back any time soon.
We stayed at this hotel in May and foound the rooms to be comfortable and modern+ the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Additional spa/recreation facilitiesa are a bonus that our children particularly enjoyed Laundry had a peculiar odour
via booking.com we had a good deal, so we could enjoy the really clean rooms and spa. its a nice area as well, not to far away from the train. Well the bar prices etc;;all what you can not buy via booking.com is quite expensive
Superb location just outside Paris yet very convenient to get there quickly.Breakfasts very good and the surroundings were a really nice park area next to the Seine.
The room was always clean neat and a pleasure to be in. With each room you have a large balcony with french doors. The room could be made as dark as night or filled with natural light. The automatic lights worked well for me. The lights of the room only work while your key is in the slot holder. The bed was a queen size bed with plenty of comfoters and pillows, you have your own control for the temp in the room. The bathroom is the shower and tub combo, the tub is a large tall tub, very nice to soak in. shower head and a detachable hand held also. Also with a large sink blow dryer and heated towel rack which helps heat up the bathroom. Hotel has gated entry located by the river&park in a nice area. The indoor pool, hot tubs were beautiful. I thought the breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, you can stop at a pasterie shop for some fresh products at a much resonable cost.
Free Parking, Very Calm Hotel, about 15 mins walking to the train station (RER A), Very nice big room, very nice swimming pool and jacuzi, to be honest i just choose this hotel becuase of its location near to my training course centre there but am amazed of what i've seen. its not in a shopping area so that you have to take the train to any shopping area and its not that far.
Asbolutely Fabulous!!! Beautiful Location - great amenities and fantastic rooms - could not fault it. Nothing.
Spa, room equipment, lounge
This was great value for money don't worry about the shared shower it is facing the rooms very spacious and claen and saves you a bit of cash would highly recommmend. hotel is in a fantastic setting.
Rooms very clean, personnell very friendly, restaurant very good Very difficult to find, GPS coordinates on booking.com incorrect. IN fact the castel has been split up in 3 parts: 1 part is a home for the elderly, 1 part is for personal use and the third part is the hotel!! The neighborhood is a bit scary.
the only thing was fresh air and sorrounding nature (forest etc...) lack of electric cordless kettle in the room, shared showers, lack of pub/bar to get a drink in the evening or to eat some dinner, non-european type of breakfest, only jam, coffee, tea typical French way, no meat, nothing warm like sausages/hot dogs/mashed eggs ...., no wi-fi coverage in my room (3rd floor)
Very nice coutry side and former royal residence. Well kept. If you like a military life, this a hotel for you. Nice rooms with nests of insects, no reception with hall, no lobby bar, restaurant open ONLY for reservation 10 hours before (!!!), the gate closes at 9 PM, you can get in with a code but the car remains outside in the woods. Have nice stay there....
cleanliness, calm, environment not an hotel actually: it's a senior residency for elderly people which proposes a few rooms for visitors from the outside
Excellent location with stunning views and good location for Paris and of course St Germain en laye. Good forest walks too Lack of service, run more on military lines, possibly just teething problems having been a retirement home. At breakfast we were left on our own with no-one in sight unless they were clearing tables at 9.30am sharpe. Would not recommend dinner at the hotel.
good thing is the location. The rooms itself are spacious but the bed and bathroom are IBIS like quality. I do not regard them as Novotel Quality. Still I choose the hotel because it is very close to a client of mine. At its full price of 200 eur the hotel is definetly overpriced in my book. At its rate of 139 (with no cancellation) it is fair.
I real loved the room, it is very large and very well equipped, I also liked the food corner where you can buy some food to eat at your room, it is a bit expensive though, but for a late night bite in is perfect, and you can take it up stairs and heat it in the microwave and you have your hot meal. I just wish they had more English speaking tv channels, at the moment they only have skynews
the location for the company am visiting , security and room size the staff , the air condition was not working and when we open the window the mosquitoes attacks us , the toilet was small
Large rooms (above Paris std) Too expensive for the quality, strange breakfast formula
The reception and the staff for breakfast were all lovely, and very helpful and patient as i don't speak French, but they were able to help with information and details about the city. I did find an earwig in my room on the first night.
Location: Within 2 minute walk from the hotel, you have 1) A RER station providing easy access to Paris attractions 2) A Supermarket 3) A good Turkish restaurant offering Halal food. The apt had 2 rooms with 2 double beds which was good enough for a family of 2 A and 2 C. For transfer from CDG to the hotel, we hired two nos. 7 seater coaches (our group was of 14 members) for 170 euros. The reception was very helpful in booking disney tkts, tours, providing luggage room etc. Highly recommended. No assistance to shift luggage between the two parts of the hotel
The Staff and room were good. The Restaurant is not up to the usual standard I have enjoyed in Mercure Hotels.
Spacious room, quick breakfast, good sleep. Shortage of coffee/suger/milk for tea making facility.
Close to a park to do some jogging.
People on reception desk were friendly Noisy, scruffy, and unbelievably expensive for what you get
Location and Cleanliness of the hotel NOthing
The area is not very welcoming particularly in the evening
Very close proximity to the Arche de Defense where it was a 10 minute walk to the exhibition I was attending Rather restrictive restaurant and bar hours
the location and its grounds are the only good things i can say about this hotel the restaurant was bad the food over priced and the staff not pleasant
The place is really beautiful, the flowers, the restaurant, the toilet products. The hotel could be renewed. Sunday morning there was a tennis tournment next to the hotel and we were woken up by the noise.
Quite environment, reminds us of our mountains in Lebanon Passages to the room
We arrived quite late to the hotel for a night en route to Normandy from Alsace. The atmosphere of this small countryside maison with a luxury gourmet restaurant is very good, and its staff was friendly especially at dinner where despite being after formal closure hours, still offered us simpler dishes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and also of good size. The hotel's location is good to explore nearby small villages just outside Paris, including lovely St-Germain-en-Laye. It really lived up to its reputation as a member of the Relais&Chateaux Hotel. Would not mention negatives as we did not come across any. However, coming through the Paris road network, this was the hotel most difficult and lengthy to find (but only until you do not reach St.-Germain) even late night. Use of GPS or very good map is recommended unless you are an insider to Paris traffic. We did not have breakfast here so cannot comment on that.
Excellent ambience - good location - friendly, attentive, helpful staff Bed a bit hard
Good location, well appointed rooms, very quiet
I liked everything...
The restaurant was very good It was expensive for the amenities. trying to be more upmarket than it warranted
We had a beautiful meal in amazing garden with fantastic wines. The wine list had great range of half bottles at great prices. The price of breakfast
Nice hotel but restaurant closed on mondays. and no tea or coffee making facilities available in the rooms
food good value no
Friendly staff, clean well equipped rooms. Restaurant was being refurbished so no breakfast available - the bagged alternative of long life cakes was very poor. Would have been very easy to provide at least a decent cup of coffee and a pastry in the lobby.
It was clean and adequate in beautiful surroundings. It was to far away from the rer station and the centre of town. The pillows were to soft. The
It's very convenient for Versailles Too far out of St Germaine en Laye - nearer to Chambourcy really.
Good location, excellent value for money, clean rooms , freindly staff
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, quiet area, close to golf Rooms small
location to our customer comfort so so
Recently refurbished so bright and modern. Lots of free parking. Convenient for driving into Paris via the new motor access road nearby. Main menu meals were goog but.... buffet was not as good as most other Campaniles we've stayed in.
The room and breakfast The atmosphere in the restaurant in night time.
The hotel was very comfortable and provided my elderly mother and I with all that we needed. Breakfast was very nice, beds comfortable, parking convenient and staff very friendly and helpful. I had asked in advance if our rooms could be next door (to reassure my mother) and this was done, which was much appreciated. No, it was great
The loctation of the hotel was convenient for the meeting I had the following day and the breakfast was good. I was very disappointed at the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room - I feel that a hotel of this standard appealing to the business market should provide this. We arrived very late and had no way of getting any refreshment - nor was any offered - as the restaurant and bar were closed.
A quiet location, near some nice wooded walks.
excellent hotel, good food, Forest location, great staff, not the cheapest but have stayed here before and would stay there again
Very nice hotel The room was extremely hot and it was not possible to turn off the heating, I slep with the window wide open
The Hotel was conveniently located with easy access to the RER for Paris, car parking was good - room was spacious and the receptionist was very helpful when we checked in. Mosquitos were a bit of a problem at night, hotel was comfortable breakfast I thought was a bit pricy
Good location, free parking, nice stuff, clean and spacious rooms. A very good deal for 50 euro/night. -
The hotel is twenty minutes walk from the metro in la Defense and there is a bus stop just outside that saves your legs if you've had a lot of walking around Paris. If you buy a 123 zone all day travel ticket for Paris, the 159 bus is included in this. There were 3 of us and the room is a bit small, but the staff were nice and the buffet in the evening is good and a fair price. Room was clean and everything worked including the free wifi. I'd recommend the hotel for exploring Paris, but would not want to be out and about in Nanterre/la Defense after dark.
The food, attitiude and attentiveness of the staff. The beds are uncomfortable. Only one pillow per bed and the beds are too small and the mattresses old and too hard. AC does not work properly
Tea making facilities in room. Clean sheets. Close to business. Nice breakfast
Clean 1. This hotel should tell the guest clearly how to get to there. For people who took subway, I recommend to get of at "La defance", and then take bus. 2. the breakfirst and the dinner buffet are just so so.
Tea and coffee making facilities - clean room - polite staff - good breakfast - newspaper at breakfast.
Clean rooms/bathrooms Comfortable beds New furniture Small rooms
Good Location with reasonable price
Convenient access to rer at reasonable price. Noisy party on the saturday night.
I liked the free wifi, which I used a lot. I also liked the simple breakfasts, which suited my tastes. The staff were extremely pleasant. In general I use hotel stairs. The stairs at your hotel were not particularly clean. The sweet wrappers that had been discarded on the stairs when I arrived were still there when I left four days later.
Room 504 - The ventilation fan in the bathroom was very noisy and constantly on.
Friendly and helpful staff small room
The location, very quiet. Not very clean, bedsheets stained, old and noisy air condition
Clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff
Breakfast was excellent The room was tiny for three people - barely enough space to turn around.
location Although kettle facility was provided (base) the actual kettle was missing. The staff seemed unable to provide a replacement. Hot water was provided in lieu of the kettle
We really enjoyed our stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. It was hard to locate.
size of the appartment, low cost of internet (€ 2,-/day), parking just in front, fairly cean windows were full of greace child fingers of th eprevious party, staff didn't inform us about the breakfast "tradition" - reserving before 18:00 day before
The rooms were very spacious, they also included many applicances and dishes for cooking. We arrived during the check in time listed on the confirmation page, but no one was in the office. We had to make calls on our cell phone (expensive) and try to discuss the issue with a mostly French speaking individual. We finally received security codes to let ourselves into the office and a box containing keys the rooms. We never saw a person. The rooms were dirty and moldy.
Booking of last resort as all Paris hotels booked out - rate expensive for inconvenient location and tired facilities; not really geared for overnight stays. Old facilities - easy to confuse with new development just up the road!
apartment is self contains double bed is very small it was rather a big single bed
Very nice location, a little out of town (15 minutes by car to Metro station La Defense), so already quite rural surrounding (bike rental is quite near by). Very big-sized appartments, kitchenette with huge fridge and even a small dishwasher. Very convenient for many different intentions (stopover, citytour, fair/business, up-country relax holiday).
quite friendly staff at reception let us check in earlier N/A
We had the misfortune of arriving in France with a nearly empty tankof gs, during a fuel-strike, so gas stations were running out of fuel. Our hotel staff went so above & beyond to help us find fuel, that they were literally the solution to our problems. We can't thank them enough for their generous and caring assistance. The 4-person room in which we stayed had an unpleasant odor (we thought perhaps coming from the heat radiators?). Also we felt that although the breakfast was simple-yet-good, it was over-priced at 9-euro for adults, 6.50 for children.
It was very nice to be able to park nearby The rooms were big and with a lot og light Very nice with a bathtub
I would say nothing. There is no staff, for catering an needful help. There was no Iron in the room, shower curtain was missing, no knife, no internet connection was provided and when asked for above mentioned item, I was told that this will be available only on Monday, the day I was leaving. And during reservation, I was told that checkout time is 10-12 but at the time of check-in they told that I must checkout before 10.
liked the bath and kitchenette area didnt like the fact that u didnt have any free internet as promised and the beds are actually sofa beds not real beds so made it a bit hard and uncomfortable
The freedom to make/cook own meals. Could have done with easy chairs in room for a more relaxing 'sit'. Would have been god to have access to the garage without having to go through reception (keypad?)
Cleanliness, premises, the room itself Difficult to communicate with staff in English
Very clean hotel. Some staffs do not speak English and problem with communication. No public transport available. I had to call taxi everyday to commute RER station that costs 12 Euro in the morning and 16 Euro in the evening. Hotel address is not in all taxi companies' list. I had to call taxi twice a day, everyday with UK mobile which took at least 10min each call and the taxi's switch borads are very unhelpful.
The room was nice, spacious and clean, and so was the bathroom. Very convenient to have a refrigerator and kitchen. The hotel is a bit far off from everything. It's a 20-minute walk to the rer station and if you want to go there by car in the rush hour, you get stuck in a traffic jam. Not a big choice of restaurants in the area.
Clean, complete, convenient and reasonable. Their sign was small and hard to find. We passed the place twice before we found them.
Family Room was more spacious than other same type hotels and daily room clean was made. We would like to stay. Really Nothing, if you have car, you can go anywhere around Paris.
a great place, very good value and an excellent location - about 15 minutes walk from Chatou-Croissy station, about 20 minutes from centre of Paris - very clean moden rooms (we had a two room aprtment for 4 of us) loads of room, free wi-fi, good breakfast - great for Paris, but out of the centre - great price - recommended
good price, but situated in the outskirts.
Good location for business trip, good buffet breakfast
cheap price, good for car park, clean shower room, quiet area. old bedroom, uncomportable bed matrix, some staffs are not kind.
close proximity to most of the areas, business and tourist places. Bed linen used to stink and were not changes unless and until told.
The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff were friendly. The rer connection to go to La Defense is good. (its a 10 min walk though but not too long) There is a market place and restaurants nearby (Chinese restaurant open till 9pm, the sandwich counter just near the underbridge of the rer station is amazing - open till 11pm - really nice guys, rest of the shops around here close around 8pm, the Brassueir bar / pub near the station has free wifi and is normally open till 9pm) Btw there is a laundromat nearby if u keep going down the hotel.. (I disovered it at the fag end of my stay only) Cutting cheap corners by charging for wifi (if short stay take the 8 euro 1 hr which u can reuse till u have completed 1 hour of surfing time valid over many days - if long stay take the 15 euro 24 hrs)... The hotel staff despite being asked (the bald guy with frenchie / moustache) didnt give me info that there is a laundromat nearby. I shelled out a lot of money giving my clothes to the hotel laundry / dry clean.. (which charges a bomb) There is only 1 iron machine for the entire hotel...
Staff were mostly hepfull, and the hotel fullfilled the expectations that I had. It's a nice hotel with huge potential. It would currently need a a little cosmetic work ( Walls and floor in the rooms) however the bathrooms were nice.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice to have free parking
Close to Rueil Malmaison centre. Too far away from RER station (15 minutes walk).
It is in a very pleasent area. Easy access to restaurents & shopping. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Rooms are very tired and in need of fresh paint. Daily housekeeping was very good.
The free and specious garage The elevator is too small.
