“Fantastic location, and a charming building - hard to imagine anything more French. The booking.com reviews gave us a great idea what to expect, but these don't do it justice. Idyllic location and surroundings, with nature all around you - dogs, cats, chickens, donkeys, and a fantastic vibe of relaxation and happiness. Rooms were great - maybe a little warm for us, but we're Scottish and it was July in France so to be expected. Some road noise as you're right beside the road into the next town, and having the windows open at night to cool the room made this noticeable. The food was fantastic - breakfasts were great, and fun - everyone eats at one long table so you chat away to the other guests, who genuinely became friends over our stay. Take the opportunity to have dinner there too. I guarantee you'll remember it not just because of the very high quality of the food but the company is just fantastic. The hosts, Kurt & Caroline, are wonderful. Friendly, funny, interested and interesting. The fact that the other guests there during our stay have been going there for 20 years speaks volumes. If you're someone who likes to chat with others over breakfast/dinner, you'll love here. It has a really friendly, comfortable vibe from the very start. We were genuinely sorry to leave, even though we were heading to the South of France. Will we be back? Absolutely? Have we already told our friends how amazing this place is? You bet. They're already talking about a block reservation for a number of us to go there for a special celebration. As an added bonus, both Kurt & Caroline ride motorbikes, like we do. A well educated, well travelled, experienced and engaging couple who are perfect hosts.”
