Excellent value for money. Bedroom was spacious. There was good secure parking. The hotel is located in a picturesque historical town, close to Budapest and Visegrad. It is 5 minutes walk to the station and there is a good train service to Budapest.
Kind staff, peacefull room, good heating inspite of cold wind, nice and clean house, parking place in the backyard of the hotel, security, good served breakfast and the children corner in the dining room. I couldn’t make an Internet connection via wireless network because of poor signal in the room and in the lobby. I didn't complain to the manager because I stayed less than 16 hours.
The staff were friendly, helpful, even though they did not speak english. The room was spacious and so was the bathroom , but both are very old and need urgent refurbishing.Breakfast was very good. The shower door had to be held by both hands while sliding so that thay would not fall down.
Closeness to the train station. Good food.
The personal was really nice and warm. I highly appreciate that we get the key of the room some hours earlier, because we were with a baby. ss
Great place to stop on way to Budapest by bike.
Room was quiet and nice enough for the price. Very hard to find. Very limited parking. Room not very clean. Mediocre breakfast. Dining room out of business.
Very convenient to the sights. Quiet Air conditioner was still a problem. Even on a cool day the room was unbearably hot. I found the units filter was completely clogged with dirt. When I removed it the room cooled some. I showed them this and perhaps they will check the other rooms. The hotel name is not noticable from a car. Look for the sign with the logo, or park and walk. Look for 4x10 cm brass plaque near the door
quiet place near the city, good hungerian kitchen small beds
The location was perfect for us. Everything was very clean and new, and the staff were warm and obliging. The air conditioner was too weak and the room was suffocating.
Good location in Szentendre (essentially a suburb of Budapest). While Szentendre is overly commercialized and expensive (compared to most of Hungary and even Budapest) it was easy to get around in and user friendly for our 19 and 22 year olds who struck out on their own during the day and evening. Staff was friendly, although not always competitent (they thought we were leaving a day earlier than we had actually reserved, which was worked out ok in the end). Our rooms were stuffy and hot. Air conditioning was not effective (we were there in August when it was VERY hot). No wireless internet for some reason. Breakfast was just minimally okay.
Staff was very helpful and pleasant Little touches would make a huge difference in this hotel. For example, the contential breakfast is so basic that we augmented with fruit from a stand across the street. No credit card facilities.
Very friendly people, great location, thinking about going back...
The hotel was clean, a quiet and nice place, staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was a large supply, parking was safe ... In the hotel we were happy and would definitely recommend it. Szentendre town and surrounding area is nice.
Super friendly people - service
Lovely room. Fabulous breakfast. Attentive staff. Wonderful location. Interesting, art-oriented village. Many outstanding churches.
Very pleasant and friendly staff, nice atmsphere, cleane room, air condition,...I was very satisfied. Anton from Slovakia
Friendly staff, even though they were not always about to deal with guests. Nice location, on the Danube and right next to the old part of the city. Near to some great restaurants. Hm, towls and sheets did not seem too clean, the area had suffered from flooding a couple of weeks before... my colleague and I were the only people staying there who were working - but it was August and in a tourist location.
Just outside of town, maybe a five minute walk along the riverfront. Continental breakfast was included Decor was a little dated with the burnt orange carpet
We were given a warm welcome by the staff who spoke good English and were really pleased we were staying with them. Breakfasts were of a continental buffet nature, and fresh. Home made jams were the highlight! We hired bikes from the hotel at a reasonable rate, and there were plenty of good cycle paths around. The rooms - a bedroom and a lounge - were very comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. That was just as well as the temperatures outside in July soared past 100! The outside patio area with pool wasn't in use because it had flooded a few days earlier. The floods also caused billions of mosquitos to decend on the town - and one of the pharmacists ran out of the favourite repellant!
The room was decorated in a retro, but pleasing way.
It´s not far fron the town centre. Breakfast was ok Too expensive for what you get. Swiming pool is not in use any more.
Excellent home-cooked Hungarian food (especially soup ! ) Morning buffet was generous. We felt very welcome here - treated like family. Owner loaned us a converter so we could recharge camera and computer - thank you
The warm, accomodating , personable, helpful owners & staff (ice for our room water, detailed help with our trip to Budapest) - the lovely views of the Danube - the 5 mins walk into the lovely main cobbled town & square - the ease with which we could use public transport to visit Budapest - the friendly, easy atmosphere ( & Ella Fitzgerald!)- we felt a genuine warmth & we want to go back there asap! Thank you Atilla & Co for making it such a special memory, particualrly for our son's 18th birthday! We would have liked to have dined in the restaurant at the actual hotel (with river views etc) becasue it was so nice but it was not yet open for evening food
