The hotels decor, quick friendly service and nice location, tucked away off main street. Also nice relaxed atmosphere with all different "types" of people. The equipment in the gym was looking a bit old and worn
Friendliness of staff
Staff on reception were excellent - couldn't be more helpful Standard of breakfast both in terms of service and quality was not what I would have expected for a hotel of this rating.
location the first room we were given had not been cleaned or bedding changed,
The friendliness and politeness of all the staff in the hotel. Its central location and excellent breakfast provided/ Nothing.
Top class hotel, grt location, food and staff ,and value well done I may find one in the future again not yet, thanks!
Excellent location, less than two minute walk to city centre
A very comfortable room! No noise from corridor or neighbouring rooms. Very good breakfast. Instant help from staff when required. Evening meal menu somewhat restrictive and unimaginative!
Leisure facilities, comfortable room, excellent toiletries, good breakfast. Evening meal was fine, but wine list is grossly overpriced!
Lovely comfortable room plenty of facilities. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Good leisure facilities. Central position near shops and rail station.
no okay Only problem was the breakfast it was cold and slightly undercooked - but apart from that nothing
Spacious, bright, modern, clean & easy access to town centre. Traffic noise prevented my wife from sleeping - we tried keeping the windows closed but the noise was still audible, & closed windows were uncomfortable in the absence of air conditioning.
the look and location noise and no air con
Not aloowing more than 2 adult to one room
The room was big and nice, beds comfortable, bathroom nice and clean. Breakfast was good and the hotel bar very nice.
The Ironing board collapsed and came off the wall
Very easy to get to park car and leave it until ready to go home
Reception area was impressive Staff on reception not very effficient The reservation was not in the system. Alternative room booked but this was a smoking room on a very noisy second floor. No apology for the mix up.
price, location and quality of the room. the receptionist was very ppor, on the verge of rude.
On arrival I went to the reception desk to which I proceeded checking in with one male member of staff. Unfortunately he was disctracted by a non guest trying to get into the hotel, therefore he left me at reception. Another receptionist then came to assist, who apologised, however I wasn't too bothered because the receptionise was chatty and this is something very rare. She has a very good sense of humour and covered up the waiting durind teh booking in process. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't get room service, with regards to bottles of wine, but you could get food. Also I think that having to pay for parking while being a resident of the hotel is a tad harsh.
Great standard/VFM of Exec Double room When checking-in, was given standard room as opposed to the booked Exec room, staff showed absolutely no apology or concern that a mistake had been made. Overall, Reception staff were cold and not welcoming, they just 'do the job' albeit generally efficiently. Disappointing approach for such a nice hotel.
Right next to the train station. Room was perfectly nice except for shower. The shower was moldy...smelled moldy and looked moldy.
Easy access from the train station and near shops and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I loved the hotel decor.
The Hotel has been refurbished to a high standard and the facilities are excellent. Very helpful and firendly staff. Accessing the location by car around the City's loop traffic system. Better signage would be beneficial.
location - right in the center of leeds city. The bar was lovely and the reception area was grand soft pillows - pillows bit to hard!
Great rooms, central location very close to public transport, helpful staff.
It was in a good central location There was no full length mirror in my room and the hairdryer was rubbish
The decor and the feel of the place. The staff were very helpful in particular the concierges It was a very quiet hotel, not somewhere I would go with a group of people.
staff and room shower was a bit naff
Room was fine - good bathroom Firstly I had afternoon tea - the scones had been defrosted for too long or were stale, and the cream was artificial. Secondly I booked an early morning call and newspaper but received neither
Staff ensured we had a relaxing, hassle-free stay. The hotel decor was worth the visit!
Friendly staff, good facilities in the room. Was a little surprised to find 2 additional beds made up in the room! Breakfast reaaly expensive.
Really friendly staff. I was travelling with a group of girls and we managed to get adjoining rooms which really great.
we requested a quiet room and go one! bathroom very nice, fabulous shower. evening meal offer was good. I found a long white hair on my pillow, +my hair is brown !
Well located for the city centre, well appointed spacious rooms with good bathroom facilities. Limited car parking available at hotel.
Comfort, cleaniness and good location
Competitive price for standard of accomodation Would like a discounted breakfast rate or price inclusive of breakfast
Very nice hotel There was a definate lack of parking which meant that we had to pay more than £20 to park in another car park
Very clean, nice facilities, great location, and good value for money No biscuits with tea bar!! Mini bar was empty!! Checking in and out was a long process as you only had one staff on.
Brilliant location in The Light - we met friends for dinner on the Saturday evening at a restaurant 2 minutes away, watched a film on Sunday in the Light and then had a late lunch at Brio next to the hotel. Also, liked parking in a secure car park overnight. Next time we will eat Sunday lunch at the hotel - looked great! Kept forgetting to use the key card to operate the lift even though we were told at reception.
Reception staff friendly and efficient. Pleasant room with very comfortable bed. Very central, but quiet in spite of being full. I find the keycard difficult to use in door, but maybe it was me being thick!
Convenient to city centre, rooms quiet Parking still expensive even with discount. Smoking in bar, which is above restaurant area, but I guess that will all change in July!
Beautiful room in a great location. Room service food was of a very [poor standard. As a solo female traveller I dined from the room service menu several times and was amazed that a hotel of such good reputation should have such a limited menu and poor quality food.
Hotel beds too soft
I was very impressed with the standard and quality of the rooms and ease of access to facilities
Very clean room and comfy beds and nice bedlinen. Good bathroom though shower mechanism overcomplicated! Yes, there were rows from the next door guestsin the corridor outside our room at 2am and 6am which was awful. We complained and got some money back.
The location was superb, the room was a really good size, it was very clean a comfortable. Parking. After being turned away from the light car park due to an ongoing murder investigation we had to park almost 1 mile away, when we enquired if we could still get the discounted parking vouchers availible from the hotel the guy behind the reception replied "we've got nothing to do with the murder". Very disappointing.
the location close to shops bars restaurants the train station and bus station.. no
Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Room 310 far too small ! Suffocating ! More minor points were no soap in container above sink. Didn't get requested alarm call or newspaper on first morning - computer programme blamed. Although quite friendly, receptionist on Sunday morning very agitated and obviously sadly appeared to be quite out of control, resulting in everyone in the queue shaking their heads.
Spacious, central, excellent parking facility Single room very poor condition and of much inferior quality to that of double.
conveinience to town needs upgrading bathroom poor room cold
Central and easy access to town. Private parking Lacking atmosphere especially at breakfast time
Staff-very friendly, welcoming and efficient. Room - fine. Breakfast - excellent. Would recommend to others. None.
I didn't enjoy my stay at the White Hart Hotel. My room was cold and most night I was absolutely freezing even with all the blankets on. On the first morning there was no hot water on shower and the draining system made horrible squak noise all the time when shower was on. see above
The hotel is very convenient and it is nice to be able to park so close. The slope to the car park was very slippy and could have done with some grit. The bathroom was cold, the picture on the television was very poor.
Polish waiter lovely
Location was good and the bar had a very active crowd. Even the house magazine stated that the rooms needed refurbishment which is apparently planned for some time in the future. The bedroom we had on the third floor was small and the furniture chipped and well worn.
We liked the location of the hotel very much, very central. the hotel itself was great as were the rooms. Queuing for breakfast in the morning as several things for hot breakfast had run out and my elderly father is not capable of standing for long periods so I had to do it for him and also for me.
Nice receptionist Poor bar cover Dirty unatractive bathroom, air out take fan clogged with dust & skin.
the staff were very pleasant and willing to help. The reception staff had excellent knowledge of the surrounding area ie shopping centres. he bar area was kept clean at all times and service was always prompt. We stayed in room 606 and the only thing which my wife and me noticed was the iron burn marks on the carpet which were present and must have been done by previous guests.
Excellent city centre location with great views from the higher floors. Clean and pleasant room with huge comfortable beds. Check in was a little slow but it did seem that quite a lot of guests arrived at the same time so that was probably the reason why.
the bathroom was especially nice and modern the room was very small for the price i had paid. There was only one pillow per person, to obtain any extras would have cost extra which is disgraceful when people have already paid so much money for the room. The head of bed was against the wall which led out to the hallway, this meant every noise in the hallway could be heard at what ever time of the night.
The ultra modern decor & cleanliness of the room. Also perfectly sited in the centre of leeds. Hotel was superb.
The whole experience was lovely, the room was really nice and the bed was really comfy with good views of the city. just the cost of the mini bar being very expensive
Nice modern hotel in great location No
The fact that it was very well placed for both shopping and entertainment and close to the station The air conditioning / heating made the room very dry and I went home with a cough
Large room in good location. No parking, very slow check in
the comfort and style of the hotel
it was nice clean and cetral nice food and friendly staff would stay there again liked everything no complaints
The room was spacious with everything that you needed. Very comfortable and clean. Could have had more pillows on the bed and room service menu and fridge items I thought were overpriced.
Very good the staff very helpfull and frendley
Service was excellent, food also excellent would definately reccomend this hotel The breakfast area was a little crampt
Excellent service and very nice room. None
Staff very friendly and very professional. Room was to a very high standard and very clean. No
The City Inn Leeds is a very modern hotel with an impressive imac in every room. Very clean and spacious bedrooms, excellent value for money. Being very new there was still much building work around the hotel, and the hotel was hard to find, poorly sign-posted.
Value for money, location, room and view from it. Very clean room well set out. On the eleventh floor there seemed to be a constant fan noise which we didn't think wasa the air con heating of other guests (we didn't have ours on). Great breakfast but the black pudding was not great, perhaps sourcibng it from the home of black pudding - Bury- would be better.
Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. felt so comfortable I extended my stay another night.
Modern, chic, stylish hotel in a great location in city centre. Staff are excellent very helpful & friendly.
Location was great Bar prices very expensive
I had a pair of spectacles lost / removed from my table in the hotel bar and they were never found
The entrance/welcome, the leisure facilities and the distance into the city centre the room was basic, not what what we expected for the price we had paid.
Quality of service, food, decor, comfort. N/A
the use of the health club facilities it was a bit basic for a hilton - I could feel the springs in the matras, there were old stains on the bedding and the bathroom door. There was no hairdryer. The cooling system was not clear to use and the room was very hot - opening the window was no solution as it was very noisy - not sure where noise came from. (on the tenth floor)
The hotel staff were warm and friendly.,..The room was very clean and tidy. Price of daytime food was slightly expensive.
I found the location excellent. We needed to get the train and it was rightr beside the train station. It was also handy for the airport bus.It also turned out to be useful that it had a bar as the snow was bad and we couldn't get out one night.! Wake up call that we didn't ask for at 5am on both mornings!!!!!!!
Location, comfort & atmosphere No issues
The pool steam room and sauna The wine was very expensive
Good value for money great location nice breakfast Nothing
the price and convenience only reservation is noise between bedrooms esp late at night
Excellent breakfast included in the price which made a big difference to me booking it and a good and speedy lift in spite of the hotel being busy parking difficult and shower could be more powerful - sofa bed was made up but was not needed
the bed was comfy the telly was good the building is completly soulless, everything is so perfect its too much.the toilet extract stays on permenantly and its noisey, the light switches all clunk on and off and you hear even your neighbours.
The staff were impeccable in the level of service they offered. The room was clean and well appointed. The best thing thoug as far as I was concerend was the location.
Centrally located (5 mins walk into the city centre). An excellent value Hotel.
the location by the Brewery Warf very expensive for the standard of accomodation and services provided
Hotel staff did not konw about local attractions in the area, particularly the brewwery across the road.
Good location, walking distance to shops, bars and nightlife. perfect for a shopping weekend or a night out. clean, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Parking is at an extra cost and is 5 mins walk away
Quick and efficient check in/out and accessible car park Felt bar staff were unable to cope at times
Always a nice stay
Dinner not good value - only a cavery was offered. This was priced at £20 if poaid for in advance, but in fact only cost £18.95 ordinarily
the cleanliness of the bathroom would need improved, hairs on towels. the curtains looked a bit tired.
Easy to find and park. Good value for money. The five pound charge for parking i feel for guests should be waived.
Comfort of hotel plus location (ease of access to centre of Harrogate)
The friendlyness of the staff's. House keeping. The bed sheets were not changed all through my stay in the hotel.
Nice and spacious. Very friendly staff. Good position. Windows open which is becoming rarer and rarer. The room service was appalling. When I rang them I was met with 'whaddya want'. The food took half an hour, it was cold and the drink was missing.
The price of the food and drink!
Easy parking, walking distance to main town centre There was dirty breakfast dishes in hallway that had been lay there all day,
Very nice clean and comfortable room(405) Excellent breakfast selection. Good that you can virtually guarantee a car parking space. Not many hotels in Leeds City centre can. No
Not alot to be honest. Stay in hotels frequently first time in a Crowne Plaza and was ot impressed with anything. The check in was slow the room was ok but not 4 star. The hotel bedroom corridor smelt of cigarettes. Breakfast poor and so were staff on duty, would stay elsewhere in Leeds in the future and would not recommend hotel to friends.
Lovely welcome from the staff at check in. Room was clean and in good order, bed was perfect. Bathroom was a good size.
Good swimming pool, ample car parking, good restaurant both for breakfast and evening dinner Expensive internet charge
Location, leisure facilities, helpful staff Would have preferred tea in teapots at each table at breakfast
Unwinding and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast prices were extortionate so we chose to eat our breakfast elsewhere.
I liked the pool facilities especially The breakfast was excellent but thought the dinner let the hotel down. IPerhaps in error we chose from the loose leaf sheet menu and the food was not worthy of such an hotel.
very helpful and friendly staff the only issue is the parking at the hotel, I feel that this is very poor with narrow spaces and there aren't that many spaces
I was nicely surprised at this hotel. It had had a few bad reviews but I thought it was good. The decor is a little dated ( no flat screen) but always clean, tiday, helpful staff, great pool and amazing breakfast :-) No complaints
room, breakfast and location to town centre
From arriving to leaving theHotel we were made to feel very special. We loved it and would definetly recommend the hotel to all our friends. Absolutely notHing to complain about
Breakfast very good,lots of choice
The complimentary wine, water etc in room. Attention to detail. Cleanliness and decor of room.
The hotel was lovely and was in a good location. The food was fantastic We had booked a table at the restuarant before we arrived but when I checked it they said they didn't have it which meant we had to eat 2 hours later than planned. They did give us a bottle of wine as compensation though which was good. There isn't really a nice bar area in the hotel so we went into town for a drink instead. The restaurant was cold
very nice breakfast staff, together with a very nice breakfast
Pleasant room, nice and clean.
everything the breakfast was superb, great room evening meal good would definately stay here again
Reasonable sized room with superb view. The Tv in my room was just above my head and I frequently hit my head on it and I am not a tall person. It could easily have been mounted higher or on another wall. ? health & safety issue.
Nice comfortable Hotel in good position, friendly staff and good accommodation with everything needed to hand Room rather small, one would expect a 5' bed in most hotels these days.
I absolutely loved the apartment, it was very modern, classy and chic. It was imacculate interms of cleanliness. And the staff at the reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. It was too far a walk from city centre.
very omfortable and spacious, amenities were excellent
home from home and better than staying in a hotel The room was very hot and at times noisy from the people above and from the nearby building work.Air conditioning would help rather than just a fan so I could close the window and keep out the noise!
there was empty bottles of spirits in one of the kitchen cupboards. (4)
This is a catered apartment set-up. The rooms are very modern and beautifully designed. Cleanliness excellent, with breakfast in the fridge as an extra. Location is not the best, but Leeds city centre is about 10 mins walk away
facilities and room size were excellent value for money. Parking just across the road was very handy. a little out of town but as long as your know this it should not be a problem.
I liked having a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to heat and cook our own food The toilets made a loud noise after every flush
Clean - well equipped - stylish - affordable - convenient Room was cold.
The bed was very comfty! And had a lot of appliances The room and cuterly and glasses were dirty, we were up all night with people running around the corridors
the hotel was in easy reach of leeds city center and we had a excellent room with a view a bigger bar of soap and not having a kettle in th room even tho there was a tv !!!!
very good value, simple & clean rooms with really helpful staff. Would recommend. Everything fine :)
Very well positioned for all Leeds centre locations. The staff were very helpful. Found the room wasn't great, main issue was the strong disinfectant smell in every corner of the room.
only the price is very attractive. each room is equipped with shower and bathroom. very cost effective. there is no kettle in the room, if you wanna some hot tea or coffee, you always have to go to downstair to ask for it. and everything about this hotel made me feel like it is a student accommodation. i do not think i will stay here again. though the location is in city center, but it is difficult to reach some interesting area, no bars, no stores, very bad.
Price and the ability to buy takeaway food from local restaurants Hard beds. Number one issue is that it definitely needs a better mattress. Television volume control did not work. They was a 10 cm large lump of dried something on the wall. Yeuch!
Very basic but well thought out formula, however the environs could have been kept cleaner and as it was the cheapest hotel in Leeds on line it seems to attract people who are less considerate of other guests, loud in corridors and slamming doors continually in the wee small hours. Lots of rubbish round the steps and front doors encouraging more litter unfortunate drain smalls in corridors when they were cleaning the rooms. The heating was not effective in the room.
The room and the look overall of the hotel. The staff was good and friendly but not too fast/would not listen much. Or maybe they were not used to accents.
the quick, friendly and helpful staff that checked us in. also the state of the room was prefect for are arrival.
Room was excellent & ideally located for city shopping & bars Mini Bar needs choice expanding
Extremely difficult to find when driving - no signs to the hotel nor adequate signposting of the hotel itself
Relaxed atmosphere, helpful staff, beautiful linen. The linen and bedding was gorgeus but the bed a bit hard and lumpy. I found the black corridors rather depressing. Water not as hot as I would have like for morning shower.
The quality and decor of our room was fantastic (206). Poor customer service, made to feel uncomforatable and unwelcome on arrival. Also were told by resteraunt staff we had to pay for 'hot breakfast' and were only entitled to continental, which we were later informed was incorrect as we had already paid for breakfast with our room.
comfort and cleanliness of facilities breakfast noy included in room price
Good cleanliness, comfortable room. Very poor meal. Room not ready at check-in, Replacement room - heating not working, third room smaller with poor view of fire escape - cot never transfered to third room! Food very mediocre for the the price, waiter with terrible English - I had to revert to French to make ourselves understood!
Good Room and central to Leeds Bed very hard and lumpy. Perhaps the manager should spend a night in it
We thought the shower was excellent. The cleanliness of the room was excellent and this is important to us. The cotton sheets were lovely but just a little too crisp! Quite noisy when you moved.
This is the second time we have stayed at Days Inn at Wetherby it is a fine location for the Races. We will definitely use the hotel nest tinme we visit the races.
Key cards would not work and we had to go back to reception each time for them to be swiped. No seperate carpark, had a problem parking near the hotel
Excellent hotel - very good room None
Clean, fresh, everything worked. I have no negatives.
The staff were excellent, room clean and comfortable and the complimentary minibus service fabulous! Being next to a motorway you'd think it would be noisy but it isn't, recommend staying here definitely! I thought the continental breakfast price was a bit steep for what you get but the services next door have hot food. It's a pity that the hotel does not have the facilities for cooked breakfasts, that is the only thing that was disappointing.
Staff friendly.Room very clean, warm and comfortable.Excellent en suite shower.
It was new, comfortable, spotlessly clean and elegantly designed. Everything worked perfectly. Value for money was unbeatable. Staff were well trained and friendly. I thought hard about ways in which this hotel could be improved, but I couldn't think of anything. It really couldn't have been better! Nothing.
Overall professional approach by staff and overall appearance of hotel looking clean and inviteing. Just the outer regions have not yet been tidied from the construction obviously wiil be done in time as newly opened.
Excellent modern room and facilities. Free internet!!!
The staff who were very helpful and polite were the only saving grace about this hotel Why is this hotel a 4* - the first room I had was dirty and out dated. The base of the bed was held together with gaffer tape the bathroom was mouldy. I changed rooms (only a single available) and the new room was cleaner but you had to be a contortionist to get into the shower - very bad design and would not have been easy for anyone who wasnt agile
Noise caused by parties on two nights. Inadequate checkin process
Everything. Could not fault anything and would definateley recommend to friends.
Very easy to find and a very good location of the hotel. Good shopping nearby. Good atmosphere and nice events at the hotel. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. Have none.
Communal areas could have done with some more cleaning -
My freshly cooked breakfast Tiny bedroom. No facilities
The bed was really comfy Bathroom a bit small and shower could have been at opposite side of bath. The bedroom was very hot even with the window open
When a basic twin room was not available I was upgraded free to a better class of room. It was very nice to have hotel staff be so helpful.
Room was comfortable and breakfast good I specifically asked for a quiet room but was given what must have been one of the noisiest on that night due to a wedding party. Wedding guests were on a patio area outside the bar just below our second floor window making a horrendous noise (chanting, shouting and singing) until at least 0300. If our room had been the other side of the corridor it would have been fine. We had to keep the windows closed to block out as much of the noise as possible making the room hot and stuffy. If there is a party on it would be sensible to give guests not attending the party rooms away from the bar and party room areas and rooms near those areas to the party goers! Also, the shower in the hotel was inadequate - so scaled up that only a trickle of water came out of it.
Atmosphere, scenery, presentation of meals + warm Staff breakfast time could be more flexible (extended a little later)
Nothing - there was nothing outstanding for this hotel Initial room too small for two people, oppressively hot with no thermostat, on opening windows found that the entire frames were covered in black mold. The bath/shower was ripe with mold. the plug in the sink did not fit properly. The TV was far from properly tuned to any channel. The upgrade still had problems and the breakfast was of a poor quality in our experience
the view from the room window.went to relax for the weekend but it was really noisy.
bad choice you need to view room 31 described a junior double room with no access from one side of bed and no second side table poor pillows and no extra supplied room would not pass vetting if opening a new B & B this is a 4star hotel I have written to them .Small room is one thing but this room described as a double suite most misleading that a double room should not have access to bed from both sides as one was right up against the wall - had to climb to get into far side - not good especially if you have to climb over someone in the middle of the night but one aspect Roll over and you hit the wall ....
For us it was the proximity to the family that we were visiting It was a bit noisy at night as our room was over the entrance and the hotel was busy with a big wedding. This was inevitable & no fault of the hotels
This is a pleasant hotel set in wooded grounds in a convenient location on the Otley Road in Leeds. Easily accessed by public transport. There was some noise in the corridor from some other residents late one night.
The room was so small and shower didnt work properly
i likked the hotel, the staff was very nice specially Nazareth at the reception.recommended place for bussiness travel
its always comfortable, easy to park and close to my daughters' university accommodation shower and bathroom a little small.
