Very nice hotel, great area, very relaxing, very good food in the restaurant.
The hoel was as advertised by Booking and more. More than a hotel this could very well be a destination in itself, with all the facilities available. Our room was very attractive with stone walls and floor and beamed ceiling and the bathroom quite modern, The breakfasts were good with some selections from the property. All in all, a welcome stopover on our trip. No complaints at all other than our difficulty in finding the right road out of Sallimanca as it seems it is poorly marked on the main highway that runs across the top of the city..
our 2nd stay, just as enjoyable and very good value.
The location is superb, secluded and potentially vey quiet. The junior suite I was assigned was wonderful, with a great bed and a great view. Unbeknown to normal guests, the hotel is used for weddings. On a Saturday night we had trouble parking, moving around and having something for dinner. Loud music went on until 3:30 in the morning and so did the sound from doors slammed by hotel guests attending the wedding. QueThe structure is wonderful but not properly kept. I noticed an old fridge and other floating debris stuck where a small channel runs underneath the hotel, 10 meters from the concierge, and other debris in the park. In the bathroom (of a junior suite) I noticed humidity and overall its facilities were not up to the level expected for a 5-star hotel. The hotel is advretised as having a jacuzzi, but in fact this can be used only in conjunction with expensive treatments.
A true hacienda, carefully restored and perfectly designed as a hotel, with its atmosphere it takes you back to centuries ago, while combines that with luxury and modern facilities in a tranquil environment. The Hacienda provides an unforgettable experience of rural Spain. The breakfast was very good, and the service too. The staff also was very professional (they politely resolved a problem with conditions of accommodation). None. (The instructions for the localization should be followed carefully, otherwise it's not easy to find.)
Wonderful Historical Hotel set in a 700 year old convent, now a wine producer so they give great tours of the wine cellars, a tasting etc. Olde Worlde hotel, lots of nice small touches to make the stay pleasurable. The breakfast was of very good quality, but spoiled somewhat as flies were in the dining room and around the uncovered food. Perhaps it was a one-off but being on the river more precaution should have been taken.
