The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The sheets toilet and wash hand basin were clean and I guess for £60 a night including breakfast it was reasonable value
The decor in the room was dated and tired looking, the carpet and general bedding were not clean. The hotel needs a good clean and general face lift. The pillows were non existant and no more could be found even when asked for.
The hotel was clean and warm.
The room had peeling paint and wallpaper. The base of the bed was broken and it required me to sleep at an odd, uncomfortable angle.
Awful awful hotel. Dirty room, the "shower in the room" was actually a shower in the room. No bathroom, just a shower next to the bed. Oh yeah, which was also broken. Everything was so dirty, stank, and we couldnt even open the windows properly. Breakfast was 7 until 8, and when we came down at 7.50 to eat they had already packed everything away! Also check out is 11am however at 10.45 some women knocked on the door and told us to hurry up!
Nothing. This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was too dirty to be used.
Squalid rooms, dirty communal bathrooms.
Nothing. There was nothing to like about the hotel and our experience at the hotel what so ever.
The room smelt of urine, the carpet had dried food all over it, there was an iron left plugged on and switched on upon arrival, walls were dirty, window did not shut properly or lock, the bedding was disgusting with burn marks, bathroom was filthy and basically unusable (we did not shower as we felt we would become more dirty!). All of us laid fully clothed on top of the covers on our beds, & got up and left as early as possible. was told on arrival that their payment machine was not working, and therefore payment would be taken by another hotel (over-charged £15 & still to find out if we will be refunded this money). Absolutely the worst hotel any of us have ever stayed in, would highly recommend that people avoid this hotel at all costs!
Very bad and frightening experience
Excellent food at Hatherley Manor Free internet is a bonus Lovely gardens and friendly staff
Room was boiling hot had to ask at reception for a fan
Nowhere to park. Hotel and room shabby and didn't look anything like the pictures on the website, lights not working, staff not helpful, no headboard on bed, random single mattress left in room, had to climb on bed to turn light on,only 1 of the 3 lightbulbs working, mould in shower. Charged for 2nd night even though staff were told on 1st night I wouldn't be staying for the 2nd night
Very nice chap on reception
The room was horrible and dirty, the whole hotel was very poorly maintained. The location was noisy (wafer thin windows), one parking space (right next to the main road, which has drunks walking past all night), very overpriced for what it is, breakfast was very poor quality.
