Friendly, helpful staff - as usual. Room was very clean.
We were supplied towels, but the room lacked soap/shampoo which had to be requested. The remote control for the tv didn't work, the remote itself was faulty, which got replaced. Also, one of the lights in the room was not working which we thought was a faulty bulb but after having the bulb replaced it transpired that the light itself is faulty.
the hotel is looking tired and needs to come into the 21st century, the rooms are a bit tatty and you feel like you have gone back to the 1990s
when i booked in i was given my room , i opend the door to find that the room was already occupied, i told the reception staff and they appoilgised and gave me another romm, the room was overlooking a roundabout on the east lancashire road, so the traffic noise was unaccepable, i was given a upgrade to a suite, to call a room with 2 duble beds in a suite is a bit of a joke , within 2 mins of entering my suite i could hear the noise of crying children from the roon next door, this was my third room so i put up wth it , as children go to bed quite early , but i forgot that they wake early to, the next day i was like a zombie.
Hotel is convenient, friendly and the restaurant offers good quality and value for money.
