With a stay at Vilamoure Hotel de Naturaleza in Punxín, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of San Cibrao de Las Hill Fort and Termas Chavasqueira. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We spent three nights at the Vilamoure Hotel de Naturaleza on our way to the Bilbao ferry in September. The accommodation had only been open for a couple of months and it was beautiful. We rented a suite which was very spacious and luxurious with its own terrace. Our two cats were very warmly welcomed by the two brothers who run this property; with a bottle of champagne for us! They could not have made us all more welcome; nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was home-cooked and typical of the region; accompanied by local and Portuguese wines. Breakfast was fabulous and included; hot breakfast was also available. There is horse-riding available, a wonderful indoor pool and sauna, games room and gym. The communal areas are wonderful and we were told to treat these as our own home. The location is perfect for exploring the many attractions in this picturesque and historical area and the thermal springs were well worth a trip. The owners of the accommodation were on hand to advise on places to visit and even sent us off on our days out with a freshly picked bunch of grapes. Wonderful people who cannot do enough for you; but still allow for space and freedom. Cannot wait to return with our two cats
Cons: Everything was fabulous!
Pros: Everything ..... excellent stay, lovely family, we got the tour of the house and grounds, lovely family, excellent food ! A little gem of a place, would 100% use again ! Thanks Luis for the route to León ... Parada De Sil ... beautiful
Pros: Iys very new, very clean and very quiet!!!!
Pros: Everything! Quiet countryside, fabulous proprietors, impeccable cleanliness, food, wine, and area recommendations.
With a stay at Pazo dos Ulloa in Ribadavia, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Vina Mein Winery and Encoro de Castrelo de Miño. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Very hospitable hosts. Great views from our room in a beautifully renovated old stone house. Peaceful and quiet location. Perfect stay in every way. We would have loved to stay longer...
Pros: Nice accommodation with good breakfast and friendly staff. However, the location is quite isolated with no bar or restaurant within walking distance (we don't like to drive at night and certainly not drink and drive). There is also no staff around in the evening. It would have been useful to have simple tea-making facilities and a fridge with wine/beers (on an 'honesty' basis if no staff around).
Pros: The room had the most amazing view It was a beautiful and very autentick House So nice
Set around a courtyard this beautiful country house dates from the 16th century and features its own wine cellar and charming rooms.
Pros: Property has great caracter: renovated old building, nice rooms and outdoor sitting areas, bathroom very modern. Stunning surroundings with vineyards and great views.
Cons: No English spoken. Breakfast started very late, at 9:30. Nice breakfast, but they were serving everything at the table, which meant for example we waited a long time for the coffee, brought at the end of the meal.
Pros: Very comfortable bed. Nice bedroom. Wonderful site.
Cons: There were problems with the heating. Dining-room a bit cold needs a bit more lighting in the bathroom
Pros: Very nice people and a lovely property.
Pros: The property was a beautiful hacienda. Tatiana was a delight. So friendly and helpful. Neither she or her partner spoke English yet we communicated very well. The hotel was immaculate. I’ve never seen a more well kept property.
Cons: Although the venue was gorgeous, it was not really close to restaurants so the dining was limited, since the property does not have their own on property.
Pros: The location is peacefully quiet, surrounded by vineyards and beautiful Galician landscape. The hotel's construction is nice and the rooms are comfortable and combine modern refitting with a traditional touch.
Cons: Our reservation was not respected. I specifically asked for a room with a double bed (there were options that indicated that it could be one double or two twins, but I chose the option which was specifically double). However, upon arrival, the hostess indicated that they only had twin rooms left. No form of compensation was offered, which could have been a kind gesture. Also, we arrived at around 6 PM, at which time both the host and the hostess indicated they would be unavailable for the rest of the day. I obviously respect their right to rest, but again, since this is a rather isolated hotel and scarce in services (no food is available on premises, for instance), it would have been nice to know that reception is available until a bit later.
Pros: Everything! It was charming, beautiful, historic, clean and well appointed. The hosts were fantastic and we really enjoyed dinner down the street at the Michelin restaurant, which was also excellent!
Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: No hot water in the morning. Requested a double bed, and in spite of not being full they would not change the room.
Pros: Beautiful restored building. Absolutely perfect accomodation, breakfast and friendly helpful staff.
Pros: Beatiful house.
Pros: Located in beautiful area, the hotel is equally as beautiful. The managers and staff are so friendly and helpful, we felt like part of the family. Felt so sad leaving, certainly would return.
Cons: Could not fault, all excellent.
With a stay at Aldea Rural Pazos De Arenteiro in Boboras, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Vina Mein Winery and Pazo da Touza Golf. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place is amazing, the owners are 5*, everything was very nice!
Pros: Fantastic host and excellent dinner and breakfast. Wonderful local walks. Casper the owners dog led us on a great walk along the valley.
Cons: Parking as access is through a narrow road. Finding the Casa took a couple of trials.
Pros: Very old stone village made for interesting exploration. Lovely walking country through woods, past old mill ruins, waterfalls etc. Very friendly, helpful and informative host. Our room was in an interesting, renovated old stone building which we had to ourselves out of season. Restaurant was excellent - Ramiro asked us what we wanted in the morning, went to market then presented it to us in the evening! He deserves to do well.
Cons: We took a very narrow and torturous route to the hotel (as shown on Google) only to find there was a later, new road which was far easier.
Pros: Beautiful small quaint hotel in a medieval village. A very relaxing way to spend the weekend hiking in the trails surrounding the property. The owner Ramiro was an excellent host and very accommodating. We had breakfast and dinner and both were great. Thank you again to Ramiro that volunteered to pick us up when our hike took a wrong turn and ended up longer than expected. It was getting cold and sun was Setting on the return.
Pros: Amazing accommodation. Good and tasty food. Nice sightseeing. And management is the best I ever found.
Pros: It’s a pretty dramatic descent from the main country road down the feudal-era path to the hotel but it is unforgettable. But as significant was the hospitality from the owner and host Ramiro who is an incredible, world-class host.
Pros: excellent holiday experience with children. beautiful country landscapes. super friendly deal. impeccable rooms with very well taken care of details.
Pros: Very engaging hosts, making you feel very welcome and going to extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. It's also a pretty unique place, like a little farm in a beautiful little village which was slightly abandoned but that added to the experience.
With a stay at Pazo Almuzara in Boboras, you'll be next to a golf course, and 21.7 mi (34.9 km) from Ourense Cathedral and 7.6 mi (12.3 km) from Vina Mein Winery. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Interesting historic property, staff very helpful and courteous. Comfortable and restful stay
Cons: You'll definitely need a car if staying here. Not much in the immediate locality.

The Eurostars Monumento Monasterio De San Clodio Hotel & Spa is set in a 12th-century Cistercian monastery surrounded by beautiful countryside in the heart of the Ribeiro. The first monument hotel in Galicia offers 25 rooms, 21 of which are double rooms and 4 suites, where the original architectural elements meet classic decoration and state-of-the-art equipment. The spa area offers guests maximum comfort, with modern spa and health treatments, including. a. Wine and olive therapy, a thermal area, a Finnish sauna and a relaxation area. At the San Clodio dos Monxes restaurant, you can perfectly round off your stay at the hotel and taste the best local products and traditional Galician dishes, reinvented with modern techniques and fusion.
Pros: The hotel was lovely. What a great use of the building if you can’t fill it with monks!
Cons: Oh dear, it was a hot day & it would have been great to use the pool but it had a green hue & bits floating in it. The real problem was breakfast! It was supposed to be a buffet but it wasn’t & there was no menu & only one member of staff. It was a car crash & after nearly an hour & one cup of coffee & some fruit me sense of humour departed. The receptionist who was duty manager dealt with it exceedingly well but the whole experience of such a lovely place was lost. Such a shame.
Pros: Out if season... very quiet! We were the onlusten guests!
Pros: Large room, beautiful building, nice setting.
Pros: Staff are amazing here - so friendly and extremely helpful. Hotel is beautiful. Food was also really good. The breakfast is standard continental but with a wide range of breads, pastries, fruit, meat etc. Ordered room service one night and was very prompt despite a wedding taking place in hotel. You really need a car to get here and other than hotel restaurant there is one other restaurant in the town. There is parking at the front of hotel and some at the back though it wasn’t well sign posted and seemed to be just a grassy area! My room was very large with a small balcony looking out to the back of hotel. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of storage.
Cons: The only issue I had with this hotel was the sound proofing in the rooms is poor. The older parts of the hotel are made of thick stone walls but they’ve added modern dividers to rooms and they are very thin. You can hear pretty much everything next door. For the price of the hotel I would have expect better.
Pros: Very special place, beautiful and quiet, great staff!! Away from any city or metropolitan area, the monastery is very historical and interesting.
Pros: Croissants were certainly NOT flakey!!!!
Cons: Breakfast was poor. Using powdered egg for scrambled eggs or omelettes is vile. If you can use a proper chicken egg for a boiled egg or a fried egg (obviously) you can use one for scrambled eggs. It is rubbish that the Spanish government insists you do this. the other hotels we stayed in in Spain used real eggs for all sorts of egg dishes, much nicer!!!! For that reason alone I would not stay in your hotel again.
With a stay at Casa Brues in Boboras, you'll be 23 mi (37 km) from Ourense Cathedral and 10.4 mi (16.7 km) from Pazo da Touza Golf. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.

You can find various hiking trails in the area around Ribadavia. The Balneario de Prexigueiro Thermal Springs are within a 10-minute drive of the hotel and Ourense is 25 km away.
Pros: The breakfast, the staff...
Cons: The noise of the traffic woke us up early. Other than that I totally recommend the hotel. It is conveniently located and the breakfast was excellent.
Pros: Small hotel in a manor house about 3 km from Ribadavia. Very spacious and well furnished room, a bit noisy as it is directly on the road. Excellent breakfast.
Pros: Thermal bathing nearby
Cons: Nothing it was a good experience
Pros: The owner is a really nice person, always smiling and helping. The room was really large and convenient with a small table; the bathroom was good too. We were able to taste some wine with him, and even buy some. Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice, fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, baked cakes, fruits, cereals, cheese, ham...
Cons: My only complaint would be that the mattress was quite hard, but it really depends on each and every one taste!
Pros: The breakfast wa amazing, the room was nice and large. If I come back to Galicia I will definitly stay here again.
Pros: Breakfast was fabulous.
Cons: We had to take a taxi, but it was cheap.
Pros: The place itself is very beautiful. The breakfast also quite good.
Cons: Not a problem in June but the rooms are not air conditioned. In the hotter months I think it will be too hot in the hotel. The kind manager gave us a fan which was just fine when I was there in June.
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: Room was very dark, poor lighting. No plug in the washbasin.

Pros: The hotel is located next to the town's beautiful park, ideal for a walk.
Cons: Noisy guests. The hotel location is perfect for holidays, not so much so if you need to visit the town centre frequently.
Pros: Basic. Comfortable. Quiet. Good value

Situated on the banks of Miño River, 4.5 km from Ribadavia and its train station, O Caravel offers free Wi-Fi and private parking on site. All heated rooms are equipped with a TV, wardrobe, and desk. Castrelo de Miño Lake is 700 metres from the guest house and its sailing club, where you can rent kayaks and small boats, is a 10-minute drive away. El Castro Celta de San Ciprián de Las ruins are 9 km from the property.
Pros: The Hotel is off the main highway therefore quiet with nice views over Rio de Mino. Nice gardens and plenty of parking. Manager was good company.
Pros: It was handy for the hot springs.
Cons: I was put in an inferior room despite us being the only guests. However, the owner did move us to a nicer room for the last night.
Pros: Beautiful walking paths at the river. Very clean room. This hostal does the job perfectly for an overnight.
Cons: Wifi was very slow.
Pros: The host made you feel welcome, the rooms were clean and tidy. Good breakfast and overall excellent value for money.
Pros: We requested a crib for our baby using the wrong spanish word, but at the end they understood us and the crib was ready for us in the room, although it wasn’t mentioned in their facilities. That was really wonderful. We all slept very well. The kettle and the sink in the room were useful for us as well. We basically just slept there and that was perfectly comfortable and economical stop for us.

The Derby Hotel is 17 km from Castrelo de Miño reservoir, on River Miño. The Santiago de Compostela Airport is 1-hour drive from the property
Cons: Bathroom are bad and the staff are not kind or friendly.
Pros: I like the bedroom
Cons: The pillows to low
Located in Cenlle, Hotel Laias Caldaria is within a 15-minute drive of Termas Outariz and San Cibrao de Las Hill Fort. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The thermal baths/spa are exceptional and very well integrated with the hotel. The indoor/outdoor pool and outdoor sundecks are a true bliss, with a wonderful location right next to the river. Very reasonable prices for the buffet and bar. Very relaxed and quiet.
Pros: The location of the hotel premises is fantastic. The outside (warm) pool has a great atmosphere.
Cons: With one or two good exceptions, the hotel staff was unfortunately not nice during our stay at the hotel, particularly in the reception and the spa. Upon the reservation, one of the employees was pushing us to quickly submit our reservation, saying that the hotel had very few rooms available for the dates requested, however during our stay we could see that the hotel had a low/medium occupancy rate. I initially had the idea of enjoying some spa services during our stay, but the fact that one of the spa employees was not nice to us, made me change my mind. The breakfast is poor: lack of food varieties available, food and kitchenware that was not replaced (fruit, cakes, milk, glasses), the floor was dirty, there were ants on the juice machine, etc etc. Given the photos available, we also had higher expectations with regards to the comfort of our room.
