Pros: Loved the location and the fact the chalet was self-contained and private. The patio with table and chairs was great given how hot it was.
Cons: Can't think of any improvements that I would have liked.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was really good, and the two meals I had there were lovely. The chalet was comfortable and contained everything I needed.
Cons: The only problem I had was that it was unseasonably warm, and there was no through draught, so it was hard to sleep. A fan was provided, which helped.

Cons: Couldn't fill up kettle from tap in bathroom.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful hotel with garden by the Lagoon river-way. In Thorpeness, Boating lake and beach opposite. Excellent restaurant in hotel, food choice superb. Very nice spacious bedroom on first floor, good views of golf fairways. Easy access to Aldeburgh, Snape and other towns. Love it. We are not golfers but enjoyed watching people Tee off and admiring the countryside around.
Cons: Nothing to dislike, will definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent especially a young lady called Catelin who served us from the Bar. All staff helpful. Food better than expected! Some small areas of the property needed maintenance but did not detract from our stay. A good base for the area with a quality golf course thrown in.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Bedroom very tired in need of of lick paint plus updated bathroom! Perhaps net curtains on window for sake of privacy!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The position was superb within easy reach of the beach and beautiful lake we are not golfers so can’t comment on the course.
Cons: No air conditioning, cheap pillows,tv to small for room and being charged for the water left in room without a price we were on the understanding it was complimentary. Mini golf needs to be cheaper or free for residents.
7.6 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent.
Cons: Woke up to a cold room. Radiators came on while we were at breakfast after 9.am
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We thought that the hotel was comfortable and the dining room had a reasonable menu
Cons: While the menu was ok my partner, who is vegetarian, felt that the choise was limited and although the chef came up with an alternative choise it wasn't brilliant( under soaked dried mushrooms)
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was comfortable, clean and good value for the purpose of our visit.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was very well arranged, clean and tidy.
Cons: Our room was sold to us as a room with a balcony. There was no mention that it overlooked the car park making the room like a goldfish bowl, very noisy and disappointing for the celebration of our wedding anniversary. The door stuck so it was difficult to get advantage of balcony anyway. Very noisy radiators and annexe we were in was really like a travel lodge. Breakfast was disorganised and took ages before our order was taken. Many of the items had run out on buffet table and were not being filled as so many people were eating breakfast. All in all, disappointing - sorry!
7.3 Good
Pros: The bedrooms were spacious and well provisioned. Our rooms were very quiet and it was nice to have windows that open properly and not to have the continuous noise of air-conditioning.
Cons: The staff started trying to clean the rooms from 9.30am onwards, which for a Sunday morning seemed a little uncivilised. The settling of the bill was very inefficient.
6.8 Good
Pros: Friendly service - as it is Golf affiliated there is good bar food available all the time. We had a cream tea on arrival. Restaurant was really good.
6.0 Good
Pros: The food was very good, both the evening meal in the Restaurant and the Breakfast.
Cons: I would have felt more comfortable in the Restaurant if other guests were more casually dressed (as we only had jeans with us).
6.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable and welcolming hotel, excellently situated for enjoying a great section of the Suffolk coastline
6.4 Good
Pros: large room, good car park, tasty breakfast
Cons: silly dress code for the dining room (no jeans!) reflecting golfers stuffy attitudes
7.6 Good
Pros: Peace and quiet, large comfortable bed, free newspapers, excellent freshly cooked breakfast
Cons: Limited choice of wine at the bar

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Room lovely but needed a wardrobe.
7.0 Good
Pros: Pleasant staff. Clean room. Didnt have time for breakfast so cant comment. Separate entrance to hotel so didnt have to go through bar with luggage which was great. Bath and shower and water was nice and hot. Warm evening but could open windows fully to let a breeze through
Cons: Noisy central town location. Event in garden so music playing and lots of customers till late. Not an issue for us but worth bearing in mind if someone is looking for a quiet stay. Near traffic lights so car noise. Small car park but due to event was full so couldnt park nearby initially but managed to move cars later. All to be expected from a pub setting but that could be overmissed on booking page
